St Katharine Docks Cafe in Tower Hamlets

What an amazing experience amazing ambiance, nice swim and very yammy food! Highly recommend if you are visiting Rhodes!!!

This was such a lovely little coffee shop! The prices are very reasonable and the pastries were fabulous (I got the pastel de nada)! The coffee was good and the view of the boats was wonderful! The service was also very nice and the men working behind the counter were very helpful answering my questions!

A great spot for people watching and sitting by the marina. I had a herbal tea and we were lucky to get a table outside on a Sunday afternoon. They even brought our drinks to us. It looks like a brunch and cake place. It was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.

The Dickens Inn is in a brilliant location, tucked away neatly out of sight, you could miss it as you cross Tower Bridge and pass the Tower of London. Well worth a visit.

DO NOT GO!!! Went in for a breakfast. Paid £17 with coffee. They gave me one 1x tiniest toast with a spoonful of eggs. I had to ask them were the missing second toast answer was. We nornally give the second one for free if someone asks for one. Im not joking lol 😂 toast was for a child of 1-3 years old. These people are scammers. Just because of location charging people £££ worse bad service and trying to steal toasts seriously??? I had to pay extra for beans. DO NOT GO!

If you want to have the real English breakfast in St Katharine at St Katharine’s dock cafe you have to go! Courtesy staff, food tasty and nice view !

Overpriced and high surcharges for any adjustments but the food was quality. The large coffee is really a medium. Probably won't come back just on value. Nice decor.

Nice location and view from outside tables. Food and drinks we ordered were good and reasonably priced for London. Service a bit disappointing - they refused to make a bacon roll (despite having bacon and rolls on their menu) and we appeared to be an inconvenience for the staff. Recommend for the location and the food, not the staff.

Good service. Time I went was busy so it felt quite crowded.

The food left much to be desired—the toast was extra hard, the knives weren't sharp enough to cut it easily and the eggs were both flavorless and cold upon arrival. The waiting time of around 20minutes, despite the place not being too busy, was also notable. On a positive note, the interior of the place is cute, although the absence of music made the atmosphere a bit awkward.

Went in at 1.50pm on a Thursday lunchtime and tried to order a wrap. Was advised that there were no wraps left, then asked for a salad which I was advised might be possible but that the chef was out to lunch but 'would be back soon'. Decided to go somewhere else so cannot comment on the food. Very disappointing experience.

Best food. Breakfast sandwiches you can find near Tower Bridge!! 10/10

Someone knows how to make coffee, in a beautifully romantic location on the former docks and the Tower Bridge, away from the tourist crowds. Only recommended

Lovely setting, decent coffee, expensive wrap that was 95% salad. If you ask for a glass & ice with your £2.50 can of coke then you’ll get a firm no from an angry waiter.

Rude staff, no hello or thank you! Food is overpriced and mediocre at best. Returned the food back as it was disgusting. Horrible environment too. Dont waste your money here.

Food was great, my coffee wasn’t mixed very well, lots of chocolate sitting on bottom. But worst of all the guy working the counter wouldn’t answer questions just point to the menu. Not great. Get the eggs if you go though!

An absolutely perfect spot for a nice bite for breakfast. Quick service and really lovely bite to start your day. Seats outside especially on a lovely warm day allow you to wander along the waves as you watch the boats go in and out whilst eating a delicious snack. Was really a nice place and good value for money.

Would have gotten a 5th star if they had a vegetarian English breakfast option!

Tolle Atmosphäre in dem kleinen Hafen - richtig entspannend im Vergleich zur Stadt und den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Waren dort nach dem Tower of London und haben Kaffee und Muffins bestellt und dort die Zeit genossen bevor es zu St. Paul ging. Gibt auch gute und saubere Toiletten und mehrere Gastronomieangebote.

Good place for an easy breakfast with good views of the docks. Everyone enjoyed their food from the lattes and drinks, to the full English, and the salmon and avocado.

We started our first day in London with breakfast here in this restaurant. Where we arrived we were warmly welcomed and very well served! Recommended was and the classic English breakfast. Freshly prepared, the food was first class! We had nothing negative. I also had a freshly ground coffee which was also wonderful. I recommend this place. Later in the day, the guests were even in line, so be early is worth it. All the best for this super restaurant! I think it is a real insider tip, this restaurant!

Personal no muy amable y nos la han colado. Al pedir añadir a un par de huevos fritos bacon en la cita. Aparecía 2 veces tiquetado el bacon al reclamar nos dice q le va a poner dos lonchas de bacon y q por eso. Cada loncha, muy pequeña por cierto a 2,5 libras. En España a esto se le llama meterla doblada.

The food looks amazing, seeing on the picture. But there was a lack of taste, so many ingredients and still have a plain taste. Dogs are not allowed inside btw. At the terras they are. Nice terras, with good view though!

Brilliant place if you are looking to spend an afternoon. Great views and a lively atmosphere. Plenty of cafes and restaurants with excellent views. Good facilities and a quiet atmosphere if you often make a cafe as your temp office!!

Eigentlich schon fast ein Geheimtipp. Wir haben früh nach Frühstück gesucht und sind zufällig dort gelandet- ein Glückstreffer! Das Essen war unfassbar lecker, frisch zubereitet und toll angerichtet, Kaffee und Chai waren ein Traum. Die Mitarbeiter waren toll, wir haben viel mit ihnen geredet und auch Weihnachtslieder gesungen! 10/10 Empfehlung!

We visited here for take away coffee and food during the marathon. A lovely little spot that we are definitely going back to!

Quite place for the first cup of coffee

Ordered salad for close to a tener which was unfortunately disappointing - there was avocado, tomato and cheese but more than half of it consisted of lettuce, with some olive oil and balsamic vineger slapped on. Needs more love!

Great coffee & cakes in a beautiful, scenic location.

Really lovely welcoming café with outside seating in front of the Dock and plenty of tables inside. Staff were very friendly and courteous and even bought us water to the table. The Merry Berry smoothie and tropical smoothies were particularly delicious on a very hot day. Nice selection of fresh cakes and made to order salads.

Avoid this place as much as you can if you do not want to be received with an angry face. Unfortunately, i have been coming to this place for more than 5 years now, because I live around and the "White Mulberries" is always full. I have never seen them smilling or saying thank you, they will always give the impression that they don't want you to comeback. Last time I went there with my 2 years old son who by mistake touched one of the staff's arm and even told him innoccently "hello". The guy simply scared him showing that he was angry and start blowing. Just a reminder, in this country we respect babys/kids and we smile to them - we respect everyone by the way. If you are not done for this business, there are many other jobs that could fit you more.

The coffee shop is really cute, warm and cosy with a nice view to the marina. I was disappointed to be charged £0.5 for oat milk in my coffee, that's the only reason I gave 2 stars.

Amazing wraps! But this place is absolutely freezing during winter. Time to invest in a space heater and improve insulation!

Disappointing coffee, even more so for the price paid. Ordered an Americano and was served a spilled lukewarm coffee which seemed like it was mixed with either instant coffee or coffee grounds. Thought I'd try something new, at least I know not to come here again. Won't recommend.

Good flat white and cozy place inside

Really good coffee, we had the Mocha, and pasteis de nata. But, as mentioned in previous review, the staff weren't the friendliest. We did go back a few times because we liked the coffee!

This cafe’s Eastern European owner (the man) is so rude I cannot find the words. 5 staff behind the counter and only the cashier is working who is always nice.( the tiny lady who does the table service on top bdw!) last time coming here. Also the quality went down massively, food is tasteless and poor quality. The outside seating is pigeon infested , really unpleasant. The worst cafe in the dock, not recommended!

The cafe is nice, coffee is good, good location but the staff could be friendlier. It doesn’t look like they want to be there.

Lovely place. Pity they switched to all plastic cups, plus they neglect to clean the tables outside, so they end up full of pigeons, and they litter St Katherine docks with platic. They let used cups and dishes to linger on the tables outside, until wind or pigeons knocks them off, and they often end up in the water. Me and others had coffee spilled on trousers/bags by a kicked off cup. Staff is unfriendly and does not care about anything. Plus it should be illegal to use plastic for table service: you really do not care about the environment.

Amazing Place, Amazing Food and Amazing Staff ! What a lovely place in such a great location. The coffee and the food are Amazing, so tasty and the pastries to die for. That Portuguese custard tarte at the beginning of your day or at the end of your meal it's just what you need. Really delicious. I highly recommend and will definitely return. Keep up the good work!

Great setting and very cute cafe. Food selection was good and the coffee was good too. Not very friendly staff. We were looking for options to order and they just stood there looking at us...no offer of help. When we ordered they said nothing with no expression at all. Just took our order and told us the total. The food was very good though. When we left afterwards, no one said thank you or even simply goodbye - they did not ackknowledge us even after spending over 50 pounds. Kinda weird if you ask me.

The only good thing was the view. Service and food were appalling. The staff were incredibly rude - there were 3 of them but no one bothered to help when I was standing in front of them for a few minutes.

Family unfriendly cafe. Tried to visit today for a coffee with a baby and elderly relatives. Was abruptly told by a member of staff that we weren't welcome because we had a pram. He made no effort to understand that the pram could be folded and either put under the table, or left inside the empty restaurant.

Really bad experience here. Asked for a sandwich from the lady behind the counter, she just looked at me, I asked her again and nothing and then she finally decided to reach in and get my sandwich with may I add no gloves or anything on her hands. Terrible customer service from the lady. For such a nice little cafe, it's a shame to have bad staff like that. Sandwich and coffee was very nice despite my experience with the unfriendly staff member.

The rudest cafe staff I ever encountered in London unfortunately. I was blamed by them as I allegedly didn't order my drink correctly (when they added extra stuff in the coffee without telling me) and they had to prepare a new one :(((((

Asked for a flat white, paid £3.70, got a white americano and it was woefully bad coffee. At those prices you just expect more.

Lovely quiet place with high quality speciality coffee (Union). Very pleasant stuff. I would only prefer to have smth outstanding and picturesque for breakfast rather than boring English breakfast. Sandwiches are amazing!

Amazing oat cappuccino - as it should be. Nice place and lovely service. Extra for alternative milk. But overall a bit cheaper than other shops but the quality of coffee is amazing. Will come back for sure.

I’ve only ever done takeaway, but their sandwiches are delicious and great for the price. Highly recommend grabbing one and enjoying it somewhere around the docks. They also have a nice selection of groceries and treats inside. Iced latte was a bit watered down, but otherwise can’t complain.

Takeaway only at the moment but still value for money and very popular. Sandwiches and cakes available and a beautiful view of the yachts outside.
