The menu is slightly different to standard pub grub and the quality exceeds expectations. The beer selection is excellent and well kept.

We went after previously been a couple years ago and having a good experience. We was greeted by a woman at the bar and told to sit where we wanted. Seating area is ok. Our order was taken and drinks arrived all ok. Apart from service without a smile. Food came in to parts 5 mins apart our girls then ours. Burger and chips both girls had, both dripping in grease. My daughter had extra napkins to help stop the grease going everywhere. Service wasn't much as we had to take them from an other table. Our food came Sunday lunch. Aunt Bessie's yorkshire pud! Erm no, mash cabbage green beans ok carrots mushed that the flavour had gone. Roasties had an odd taste that odd I couldn't eat. Pig in blank I gave my hubby. Gravy could of been more or a jug! Oh which I noticed a couple sat across from us got. They had a table layed out and everything waiting. Even their dog enjoyed sitting on the padded benched seating and licking the gravy and juice from of its owners plates. Grossly put off we decided to end our meal and go esle where. £80 for 4 drinks 4 meals. Not good service felt we was asking for to much and didn't like having to talk with a raised voice because the bar woman couldn't come over to our table. This was for fathers day we planned to spend the afternoon there. Very disappointing.

Had high hopes but on our visit on Sunday 15th August at around 4pm there were 2 bar staff present, not once did either bother to turn round to face customers or acknowledge their presence, instead talking between themselves and eating crisps out of a bowl. Ten minutes of this and we left!

We visited The St Dunston Inn before the second lockdown for a family meal. The pub is really well presented with lovely fires and food seating area overlooking the beautiful Cheshire countryside. We sat in the newer extension area that has two gorgeous bi-fold doors letting in lots of light. The food menu catered for all needs as we had vegan and vegetarian members in our party, nothing was a problem and there was plenty of choice. The service was brilliant and the staff where more then willing to help with any queries. The best part of the meal was the sticky toffee pudding it was absolutely gorgeous and tasted amazing. It was that good we had to have a takeaway of pudding only the next day 🤩. If you haven’t been well worth a visit and also amazing that they offer takeaway service in the lockdown period.

Always a pleasure to pop in here as it’s the sort of pub you imagine when you think of a pub. Small, friendly, full of characters and that soothing thrum of chatter that makes you feel comfortable. The new( ish), modem eating area separates seamlessly from the olde worlde pub section giving you the best of both worlds. When the log fire is lit it’s a haven from the cold and a pint of real ale might turn into several with a locally brewed gin too. I tend to go in for a swift half and then spend the evening because the smell of the food and the choice of ales just makes you stay, relax and snuggle in for the night.

A proper pub with excellent service. A real fire and top condition real ale, perfect! The staff and owners are excellent, most attentive and I highly recommend the Dunstan as its exactly as a pub should be. The pub was extended recently and the new layout gives plenty of interesting different areas. The range of food is superb as it caters for pub classics as well as an excellent veggie selection- try the Vish (vegan fish) which is amazing.. Don’t worry carnivores, there’s lots for you too. There’s a pool table in another room which is free. The Dunstan has done an awful lot for the community both before and during lockdown, showing their community spirit which is at the bedrock of the place. Best pub for 500 miles, no doubt.. It’s a must visit!

You always get a warm welcome and the beer garden is great in the summer with lovely views. The new covered seating will be a bonus in the winter! Feels very safe, the staff and owners have gone all out to make it as covid safe as possible, including track and trace details, hand sanitizer, social distancing.take away service is great during lockdown too. Pass here many times, but always difficult to park. However, on this day parking was available so decided to give them some welcomed trade. Walk in the pub to see a small group having a drink, waited a few minutes for the owner(i assume he was, appoliges if im wrong) to appear on his mobile phone, walked straight past us without any kind of acklnowledegment. Returned a few minutes later still on the phone, again no kind of acklnowledegment, not even a hand gesture. At this point we left, never to return again.

Popped in mid afternoon on a Saturday and it was understandably quiet.Craft ales and Banks bitter so I thought I'd have a Crabbies, quite sweet but I am partial to a ginger ale. My friend had a pint of Banks and enjoyed it.Big changes since we were last here, now 2 levels of decking with picnic benches. The small restaurant is very modern with a view outside. From outside you can see Teggs, just avoid looking at the old garages below to the left. Looks like they're doing some sort of extension too.Must visit to dine sometime.

Excellent freehouse in the village centre. Well kept beer (recent recipient of CAMRA Pub of the Season), and proper landlord. They don't do food, but you can order takeaways for delivery to the pub and eat them there. The Banks is always excellent. We used to regularly walk to Miola for a coffee and can’t believe how it has changed. Outside is a complete dump with tatty pieces of furniture up for sale at ridiculous prices . The elephant and giraffe which have been there for years are still for sale at a ridiculous price. Toilet was filthy with no toilet paper. Chose to sit outside as had children with us and tables were tatty and dirty. The food was overpriced and mediocre. Bacon sandwich with virtually no bacon. Peanut butter on toast which was slimy and greasy. Children took one look and didn’t touch it and can’t say I blamed them. It is so sad as Miola used to be such a lovely place to go to. Can only assume that with Holmes Chapel closing its on the cards that Sandbach will close as well. So disappointing and what a waste of money !
