I had lunch here one Monday. The food was freshly cooked & arrived in good time despite it being a busy day. The staff were constantly clearing & wiping down tables. The portion sizes were good & I think this was good value for money. We had the fish & chips (huge piece of fish) & the scampi & chips (which came with a big, tasty side salad). I'd definitely recommend a visit.

Popped in here as I had been to Squires in Milford which is fine. My word, what a contrast. The place was filthy! So much food on the floor and stained seats. The lights above the tables were full of dead flies and insects. It genuinely made me feel a bit ill. would not go back and though the hygiene was horrific.

We called in between work commitments looking for somewhere nice to have some lunch and a coffee, and this was perfect. Lovely staff who got the balance absolutely right between being attentive but not overdoing it; a wonderful light, clean, spacious café; great and very fresh food, and the best coffee I’ve had for a while. I’m a coeliac, and there were plenty of really nice gluten-free options, delivered by knowledgable staff who clearly understood the difference between preference and intolerance - I felt very confident that they knew their stuff. We will definitely be back - we need to try the ice cream! Thanks for a relaxing break in a busy day - much appreciated.

As a vegetarian with a wheat intolerance, it can be surprisingly difficult to go for brunch with my family, but I love coming to this cafe. The staff are always really helpful and accommodating and the service is great. I’m no coffee connoisseur but the coffee is great and there’s always a selection of non-dairy milk. My family enjoy the breakfast, while there are various options for me. Great cafe. Recommended.

We had a very nice family lunch here today. We had booked and that had been a good idea as it did get busy. Good choices on the menu; main meals and lighter bites. We came here for a work catch up and it was terrible. No pancakes with the breakfast orders not coming out correctly. It was a total mix up and when we queried it the reply was "I will triple check, but that's what's on the ticket. " Well the ticket was wrong! The breakfasts were awful. Ranging from re heated sausages to luke warm beans. Not cheap either. Never again unless they employ a better chef with clearly patched together staff.

Came to look around the garden centre, after we we were to enjoy a late lunch. Was quickly shown to a seat in the cafe, and just as quickly, gave our order: one sandwich of smoked salmon, avocado with lemon mayo and a toasted cheese and ham sandwich. With a tea and a coke this set me back nearly £18, but if it was good quality then the price was incidental. We paid before delivery and drinks came fairly swiftly. The cafe was half empty, and most seemed to have ordered sandwiches or less. We waited half and hour for the sandwiches to materialise and when I asked why it took so long I was told the "he was on his own". No apology was forthcoming. Perhaps if the 3 other staff mostly standing around chatting had assisted "him", it might not have taken so long. Just as well we weren't awaiting a roast lunch, we'd have been waiting for days. Oh well. Another customer lost.

Inaccurate website led to disappointment. My wife and I arrived at 3.20pm hoping to get a cooked meal as the website said cooked food could be ordered until 4pm. The waitress brought menus over and then said that there was only cake and coffee available. She didn't seem at all apologetic. Recently visited here and even though the cafe was practically empty at 10am was told I would still have to reserve a table and all the tables were fully booked. Where were all the customers then? The place was deserted. There were only 3 of us for cake and coffee but they turned us away. There were no signs on the door saying you must reserve a table to be served. This used to be one of my favourite places to visit but sadly I will not be returning as the cakes on offer did not look very appetising. Having checked the reviews I can see that I am not the only one to complain. Also the prices seem to have gone up an awful lot too. I understand you are participating in the government scheme but surely you did not have to put your prices up to compensate. Also the selection of your lovely cakes and childrens snacks has gone down! Please remedy this.

Not been here since they had a revamp.I tried the ham egg and chips at nearly £10 ago and what I received was a handful of burnt chips two fried eggs and two of the thinnest slices of reformed ham you can imagine.Despite the fact that they will tell you this is Wiltshire ham in my experience as a meat lover this is not the case and this meal was not worth the price they were asking for which I returned and asked for something else which was just as inadequate. There are far much better places where you will get bigger portions of locally sourced items at better prices such as at Haskins Garden Centre round stone but they do a fantastic carvery and Costa Coffees, The new aerodrome café at Goodwood which is awesome. This place needs to up their game with portions and quality and not their prices and trying to hoodwink their customers, where there was another incident of a second order for a latte which was in a smaller cup than the first and yet the price was not reduced!

Don’t come here for friendly service. I’ll live locally and have access to several garden centres. I decided to go here for a change and take my mother in law as a treat for breakfast. I asked if there was breakfast menu and she slowllyyyy pointed at the “itemised breakfast” I said oh sorry is there not another? She eventually handed the menu to us and continued talking. Order placed and I had to remind them about making my drinks... ? She came and dumped it on the table afterwards no sorry, thank you, enjoy. Nothing. Generally the atmosphere was very unwelcoming, even the girl who gave us the food just put it down but no one in there let out a smile. You can tell this is a very unhappy working environment. Children's menu was limited and not very well presented ..I had ploughman's lunch which came with half a baguette roll ..which was one of the past cooked and put in the oven ones ..but was very anaemic looking..the pickle onions were silverskin cocktail onions, too much pickle splodged on plate all in all and expensive poor meal

We regularly visit this cafe and I last visited on 5 February. The seating in the cafe is quite spacious and there are several tables for couples as well as the tables for foursomes. One of the strengths of the cafe is that they have a comprehensive menu for the whole day, starting from opening time. I often have the soup but on this occasion I had a ploughman's lunch which was fine although it would be better to have ham or cheese on the menu rather than ham and cheese which doesn't help vegetarians like me. The cappuccinos are always delightful and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. If you are visiting the garden centre a visit to the cafe is a must! I look forward to visiting again soon.

Usually I have been very happy with the cakes and coffee here, always fresh and tasty but Saturday we purchased some doughnuts and it was obvious on first bite that they were stale, at least from the previous day. Little jam also. Disappointed

Saw an advert on Facebook for Sunday Dinner with "Kids Eat Free" so decided to take advantage, and take the family. My wife, 3 children and grandparents had a fantastic Sunday Roast and look forward to returning in the future. At £20 for 2 courses and £25 for 3 courses, the meal we enjoyed today offered exceptional value for money. Between us, we enjoyed 2 starters (both had smoked salmon), 7 main courses (4 x Roast Beef, 1 x Roast Chicken and 2 x Fish & Chips) and then x6 desserts (a selection of ice cream sundae's, chocolate brownies and cheese and biscuits). Given the quality of the food, and the service too, I would be very pleased to return on a Sunday when the kids meals are to be paid for...... it was that good. We already can't wait to return.

Almond croissants at weekends, butter croissants in the weekdays. Lovely fresh croissants. Delicious! I was brought fresh , crispy croissants from truffles for my breakfast. Definitely worth waking up for !

We have often passed this attractive looking pub but this time decided to stop for a late lunch. We were warmly greeted and shown a nice table by a window. The decor is very stylish, creating a good atmosphere. Our drinks order was taken and delivered promptly, as was our meal order. M had beef and ale pie and I had grilled chicken served with pappardelle and a creamy sauce. I love pasta and this was a delicious dish. M declared the pie to be first rate. We were going to be good and resist pudding but succumbed to a mini dessert with coffee - caramelised profiteroles. A perfect round off to an excellent meal. We will be back.
