Square One Café Bar in Shropshire

Had a morning cappuccino here. Oh dear, very very weak on the coffee, and not very warm. Served in a cardboard cup, and quite expensive. Nice setting dreadful coffee. Give it a miss

Friendly service, good portion sizes for money, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean toilet able to be used by customers.

Arrived to a warm welcome. Food was fantastic and the service was brilliant. We had the Granola and fruit, muffin with avacado smash, presention and flavours were fab.

Day visit to Oswestry with the grandchildren and went here which looked quite busy and social. Was shown a table and the menu was quite different but all the diners around us were really enjoying the food. We ordered a variety of the Street Food and it was sooo very tasty and good portions. Staff very polite and professional. Have visited a while ago but standards have certainly not dropped. Our go to place in Oswestry.!

I've had coffee from here before which is lovely so when we had friends stay for the weekend we thought we would bring them here for brunch. It did not disappointing. There were four of us - 3 had loaded fried (2 x chilli and 1 x Katsu ) and another the hotdogs. All tasted amazing and the portion sizes were huge :) 2 regular coffees and 2 iced coffees which were amazing. Staff were so nice and helpful. We will come here again and again.

lovely place, me and my family go there most weekends. the food is glorious, especially the mac & cheese, aswell as their wide range of milkshakes and smoothies. only one thing, please invest in a better coffee machine. coffee, we think, needs to improve at square one, so we suggest investing in a new coffee machine.

Ideal setting right in the centre, a great venue for breakfast, lunch etc to eat and drink and watch the world go by. As soon as a person vacated their table it was immediately spray cleaned. Exceptionally clean tables. Really good and varied menu to suit all tastes and very reasonable prices. The food was lovely and generous portions. Will definitely return.

Visited for a drink and food. Ordering counter looks great but staff not friendly at all. Ordered nachos, hot dog and iced coffee. Cheese wasn’t melted in nachos or even sprinkled. Nasty salsa, guacamole and sour cream which weren’t fresh and tasted like they came out of a tube. Hot dog was two burnt sausages in a bun. Iced coffee was average. We came away feeling like we’d been ripped off as not cheap…wouldn’t have minded paying if the food had been decent. Also, they don’t bring your food out, instead bark your name to collect when it’s ready. Disappointed as had been looking forward to going.

Nice to get a coffee and watch the world go by - great if you have a dog as parasols and provide shade and can sit outside in town centre. Some items a little pricey but worth it

YUK! Plastic microwave cheese on french fries. Pulled the plastic cheese off the chips in one piece. Like cooled melted wax and tasted like it. Coffee is o.k. but will not order food again.

Popped here for breakfast with a friend and it was lovely sitting in the Square in the sun having breakfast. Service was swift and the waffles were excellent.

Come for how good it all looks. Stay for how good it all tastes. That Mac and cheese with chorizo 👌

Just visiting for the first time after hearing so many good reviews with the occasional negative, ordered a crepe, panini, hot chocolate and coffee which came to £20, couldn't even try the panini as the takeaway box was slathered in coleslaw, unwanted and unasked for salad with whatever sauce, hot chocolate wasn't hot as advertised just slightly warm, staff talking bout customers openly for people to hear, just a bog standard place with high prices

Fantastic service from a lovely blonde girl named Lizzie this really made the experience, hot chocolates were amazing would definitely come back

Happened upon this place looking for a breakfast on a Sunday morning. Wow, did we strike it lucky. Really lovely simple breakfast well cooked and presented. Staff are really helpful and friendly.

I'm a regular at Square One and I must pay compliments to the entire staff team. The service is friendly, attentive and I always leaving feeling valued. The coffee is perfect and I really enjoy the tiffin and pastries on offer. The lunch menu looks amazing too! Really recommend this eatery in the centre of Oswestry.

They do everything well, interesting menu with options for meat dishes, vegetarian and vegan choices. Great milkshakes and smoothies.

The male staff member was extremely rude, and the “oreo” hot chocolate was an overpriced standard hot chocolate with an oreo on top? I expect an OREO hot chocolate for the prices they charged.

Great new addition to Oswestry, wide variety of food and drinks including milkshakes. Very good value for money! We tried the waffles which were amazing! Well done Square One on bringing a new, welcome addition to the town and brightening up the square!

Came across this place by chance, and very pleased we did, great lunch with plenty of variety and very nice coffee. Tables and chairs cleaned as soon as they are vacated, and very pleasant staff. Do yourself a favour and stop here for a bite...
