Sprout Health Foods in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Despite being only a small venue, we were able to find a shaded spot in the back yard, which is like a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the main high street, in a sheltered little greenery spot. We have visited a number of times and really enjoy the variety of Vegan choices. We had coffee's with oat milk - delicious - and a selection of raw cakes which were really good.

My wife has Coeliacs Disease ( gluten free diet ) so when ever we travel, I always research the location , for restaurants etc that cater for her dietary needs. Sprouts came highly recommend, and she was not disappointed. Fantastic choice for her to have, and a pleasant shaded courtyard to sit and enjoy it in.My only criticism, is they should improve the sign on the main strret, ( more colourful , eye catching) as with the crowds , the street level sandwich board could be missed. That being my only negative comment.. Other than that 10 out of 10 from a person with a normal diet, and 100% would visit again from a Coeliac.

Started off searching for gluten free options and first couple of places were closed, next one didn't offer gluten free so decided to walk back through town and saw the sign for Sprout. Followed the sign and walked in, I was amazed at the sheer amount of gluten free options! I only went in for lunch but then saw lots of delicious cakes etc so I came away with one Sprout pot with chilli, a chocolate orange doughnut, a slice of banoffee pie and a cornish pasty!!! I was in heaven and very happy. Can't wait to come back already!

(Reviewing as a shop as I've not eaten in.) A brilliant shop with really good range of products. I chiefly use it a source of flours, nuts and seeds, dried fruit etc., for baking. When they've not had something in, they've always happily ordered it for me. Friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

Coffee incredibly good. The most upbeat and wonderful staff. My partner is vegan and also has a big intolerance to diary and raves about this place! Very good wide range of goods that is all delicious,a VEGANS DREAM! keep on rocking guys because your smashing it! thankyou for the coffee sets me up for my day! Be back soon

Beautiful cakes, lovely coffee and friendly faces! Sat in the courtyard and so peaceful - well worth a visit! Vegan for 29 years and in all this time have I rarely come across such a lovely health food place! Going back again soon

Sprout are brilliant. offering a cheery, supportive, and practical service. to the local community of newquay and wider afield. Their products are always of excellent quality and choice, well priced and friendly and helpful staff.. They have achieved so much and their service extends into the local community offering 'conscious living' workshops, support, guidance and entertainment. WELL DONE sprout .. and thankyou

I'm not a vegan but really enjoy Sprout's hot lunches. Twice I've had a hot takeaway to eat and twice it has been delicious. Today was lentil and black bean chilli with rice, last time I had Mexican peanut molé. Both yummy and filling.

Sprout is one of my favourite places to spend my free time. Not only do they cater for all my health food needs, Claire and Bast have an infectious passion for what they do and a wealth of product knowledge they happily share too. They also serve the best olfactory coffee which goes so well with my favourite peppermint slice cake! I highly recommend the Sprout Pot too, I can honestly say I have never had one that I haven’t enjoyed every mouthful of! Sprout is a magical place to visit as they utterly transform their space to hold events like a recent gut health food talk I attended, which was so informative and inspiring. Sprout also hold regular workshops from making your own bobble hats to cookery workshops like the one I attended this evening. Sprout also hold regular spoken word events in the evenings ‘SproutSpoken’ which are really intimate and I have found to be a beautiful way to connect with others in the community. They have really created a warm, welcoming, versatile space which truly brings the community together in various ways. Regardless of your interests there is always something that Sprout can offer you.

What a find! Hiding down a side street but the welcome was most warm! Very helpful staff and the best selection of cakes and pastries, all gluten,dairy and sugar free! Really improved my holiday 💞

Great shop and cafe. Delightfully presented and delicious food. I had the tomato dhal as a take away and it was only £4. Great food at a very reasonable price. Soda bread delicious too. I shall definitely come here again

What a great find in Newquay!Sprout is a friendly,lovely cafe/shop that offers great plant based meals and snacks.We were introduced to the place by mates and will always be thankful for that!Definitely worth a visit by anyone but I imagine even more so if you are veggie/vegan.

Sprout is one of the best shops in Newquay for all things whole food but a whole load more. local toiletry brands and home made cakes and bread and their pot lunches are great. loads of variety and really friendly and helpful staff. nice big table to have lunch or a coffee and read the local paper.

We stumbled upon this little gem by chance and I can easily say that it’s my favourite shop/cafe in Newquay! (I might be a bit bias as I’m vegan )If you go you have to try the Snickers cheesecake! It’s to die for! The staff were very friendly and helpful. If we didn’t live five hours away from Newquay, I would be in every day!

Popped in with a random enquiry and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Food and cakes looked fantastic, healthy and they had some great local produce in store. Will definitely stop for longer next time!

Visited two weeks ago and still thinking about this place. Cakes are sublime!! The drinks order was messed up so we ended up with free drinks AND a voucher for the shop. When they were closing...I had 10mins more work to do and the owner, who’s parents just arrived to visit, said I could stay put and he would clean down around us. This place rocks on sooo many levels!

Das "Sprout" ist ein netter kleiner Bioladen, der etwas versteckt in einer der Seitengassen von Newquay liegt. Die Auswahl an Produkten ist den Umständen entsprechend klein. Leider habe ich dort kein frisches Obst oder Gemüse zu kaufen gefunden.

This has to be the best shop in Newquay a hidden little gem they sell the best health products in Newquay and the food is out of this world I had some dairy free cheesecake and it was absolutely amazing the staff are really friendly brilliant atmosphere 5 stars across the board I will be going again for certain

Wonderful produce,wonderful treats,wonderful service. I had abit of an issue with my card whilst paying for some lunch and the staff were really helpful and kind. I wish this business all the success!

A hidden gem! A fantastic selection of gluten free and healthy foods. Space to have coffee and cake there or takeaway. Well worth a visit.

Loved it here with lots of vegan cakes to try, plenty of cool environmentally better items for your home and a friendly member of staff to chat to. It’s off the Main Street so make sure you find it!

Can't rate these guys enough. Super accommodating, really well stocked shop and delicious food and coffees served fresh and quick and extra tasty. And the cakes!!! Went there to work for a few hours in the cafe and couldn't have found a better place. If I lived local this would probably be my favourite place to shop and coffee stop. Go visit and shop. You won't be disappointed.

Der kleine Bioladen ist richtig gut sortiert, gemütlich und bietet zudem leckere kleine Mittagessen an. Es gibt Kuchen aller Art, richtig gute vegan Cornish pasties und guten Kaffee. Sie haben zudem eine große Auswahl an glutenfreien Lebensmitteln und Brot. Ich habe dort zweimal zu Mittag gegessen und es war einfach nur lecker. Vor allem kann ich die veganen Cornish pasties empfehlen.

Very warm and friendly welcome. We had a Cheese and onion pasty with a banoffee pie to finish. Everything was excellent, so glad we popped in.

Such a lovely place! The food was incredible, there are vegan and gluten-free traditional Cornish pasties (definitely try the cheese and onion), a daily lunch option, wonderful raw cakes and desserts and a really well stocked health food shop. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Newquay.

I discovered this gem of a shop/café whilst on a family mini-break in Newquay. The staff were cheerful and friendly and I was amazed at the selection of homemade delights which were suitable for vegans who also follow a gluten-free diet. I took home a pot of the freshly-made lemon dahl which was delicious, and also a selection of healthy homemade desserts which are all made locally and were such a treat, particularly as I am the only vegan in my family. The shop also stocks an excellent range of wholefoods and chilled/frozen produce. I only wish the shop was nearer so that I could visit more often, but alas Oxford is too far away for regular trips!

Had the vegan pasty which was delicious and great value. The coffee was tasty too. The cafe has a lovely chilled vibe and a great chocolate selection!

Popped in for lunch ... very tasty African peanut stew..... staff friendly... helped with my enquiry on plastic free dental floss which I purchased. Finished off with a latte. Thanks sprout... love everything you have done to make this independent work.

This little gem is great for vegans, vegetarians and all food lovers! Also, it has different kinds of eco-friendly stuff like soap, and toothpaste, etc. It is also a perfect place to drink some tea and read, it feels like home in there. The staff is super friendly. Go in, have a look and eat some healthy (and super yummy!) cake.

If you are a vegan and live in or visiting Newquay this cafe is a MUST visit, friendly/informative staff, a home from home environment to eat and drink all types of vegan delights from pasties, warm meals, hot chocolate and cake 😍

Discovered Sprout by chance while seeking a Gluten free Vegan pasty and could have bought have the entire contents of the place! Fabulous range of health foods and fresh snacks. Really friendly, helpful owners who were a pleasure to meet. I will most certainly be back to try more of the delicious fresh food and to stock up my cupboards!

This is a little gem of a place with well stocked whole foods, a daily one pot special, teas, coffee and cake. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and have created a real community hub for local events, workshops and talks in the heart of Newquay. It's tucked away off a side street from the Main Street in the town so keep your eyes pealed for the sprout sign, you definitely don't want to miss out on a visit.

Dropped in after reading reviews - not an easy place to find, but well worth the effort. We had delicious coffee and cake and I bought a number of vegan store cupboard extras that I don’t know where to find at home. It’s so lovely to see a whole range of vegan cakes to choose from!

For vegans this is paradies: there are many cakes in the display, most of them raw - vegan. I had the orange-chocolate-cheesecake and it was delicious. The food is for take - away or sit in. The shop is very well stocked as well. Will definitely come again.

I was diagnosed as a coeliac last year and always struggle to find a good place for a treat. A local in Newquay recommended sprout. I had a lemon and poppyseed cake to take away. It was gluten free and also vegan. Eating it now and it tastes amazing, sad I didn't get another slice! Staff in the store were very helpful too. Lots of variety for every diet.

Fantastic range of vegan and gluten free food to eat in or takeaway. Cakes were a hit with the whole family as they didn't realise they were "free from". Well worth a visit.

Popped into this vegan deli and eatery when visiting Newquay today. I'm not a veggie or a vegan, but I love different foods, and Sprout Health Foods certainly ticked the right boxes.

I have picked up a take away lunch afew times here and it has always been lovely! A great range of produce, lovely staff who are more then happy to educate you further on their stock and recipes. A place I recommend to everyone who visits Newquay :)

They do delicious cakes ! And they offer lunch round a communal table It is also a very well stocked health food shop as well. Friendly as well !

Visited last week and can't fault food or service. My two young daughters loved it and they aren't even vegans or veggies! Curry was tasty and cakes unusual but delicious.

So many amazing local products stocked here, and their cakes and mains are great too. I'm a vegan and am just so impressed by how much there was for me here.

We visited Sprout last week whilst visiting my sisters and didn't want to leave. The chilled out vibe here is quite a special one. We had coffee's with various plant milks and raw vegan cakes and my 10 year old had a portion of the one pot meal, all of which were totally and utterly delicious. We received such a warm greeting and the passion behind Sprout is obvious. The range of products available and the knowledge of the (i think) owner, make this lovely little place well worth a visit. We'll be back next time we venture down south for sure :)

We've bought cakes from this place several times and they've all been awful. The carrot cake was just shredded carrot and horrible to eat. The coconut bar was bad too. The range of things to buy is really good though.

Lovely cafe and shop, great nosh and friendly, patient staff. Great to find a wholefoods, environmentally friendly shop popping up in Newquay, let's hope they rub off on other outlets.

Amazingly stocked . health food shop and.cafe. Staff.very friendly and their raw vegan cakes.are the best I have ever eaten..amazing.!!!! Definitely will be back and pricing was.good throughout the store.

This is a great place to receive a warm welcome, delicious cakes and chai and well stocked whole foods. Newquay has needed a place like this for a long time. It is down a small alley way so you need to look out for the wooden sandwich board on the high street or you might miss it!

I'd never heard of this place before, but stopped today for lunch, we had dal, it was amazing, so tasty! The desserts are incredible, being vegan I'm usually disappointed when I can't have afters but I was spoilt for choice! The staff are really friendly and welcoming, It's also a fantastic shop selling all sorts of healthy and vegan food. Will definitely be back!

This is a sweet informal cafe and healthfood shop centrally located in town. Beautiful, fresh and healthy vegan food.. small range but freshly prepared and well priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a great range of vegan supplies for home food preparation as well as snacky bits to buy. There is a fridge with vegan cheeses, meat alternatives etc. and they even had Booja Booja chocolates (best vegan choccies anywhere). Also have a range of plant based milks including oat, coconut etc. Great shop in lovely seaside town.

I found an online review mentioning "Sprout" in newquay and decided to seek it out partly as there are so few options in cafes if you are on a gluten free and vegan diet.

And raw vegan cake! This was a lovely find today and a great addition to Newquay. The coffee was lovely, and I know of which I speak. The lady at the counter was friendly and chatty and full of information about the local alternative scene. I loved it!

Sprout is mainly a health food shop offering teas, coffees, cakes and a single course daily lunch. Vegetarian, vegan, rustic. Helpful friendly service with a huge range of all sorts of health foods and a small range of beauty products. I had a lentil dish which was delicious but could have been warmer, they would have heated it further had I asked I know. Our coffees were not really warm enough either although delicious with a range of milks to go with.

While seeking shelter from Newquay drizzle, my partner noticed a sign for this place. I had some vegan hot chocolate (with a choice of dairy free milks) and a peppermint slice, which was tasty. We also bought some vegan treats - cheese and tea. The owners were very friendly and gave us some helpful advice on where else we might eat. Would definitely visit again.
