A really delightful cafe with a good menu range, excellent service and friendly staff. Very dog friendly, with an attractive garden. Good coffee, delicious smoked salmon bagel and very good cheese toastie. Hope to return.

Popped in today with my daughter after pottery lesson. Friendly service with a smile. We ordered the ploughman's and were not disappointed very tasty.... Only one criticism a bit more apple would be good ☺️ we will be back next week.

Went on a Saturday morning, and first impressions were good, friendly welcome good covid regulations and seating comfortable. The issues for us was the food, there were limited breakfast choices and what got served was poor it was low quality products with little presentation. Wife has reaction to caffeine so asked for decaf but realised within 10 minutes she had received caffeine. Such a pity, but would need to hear better reviews before returning.

We visited this cafe on the afternoon of Tuesday, May4th.We sat on the garden, which was well planned out, comfortable, and welcoming.The staff were very polite, helpful, and courteous.However, we were very disappointed with the coffee we had ordered. Unfortunately, we couldn't even call it warm, it was very cool. On a scale from 100 being hot, and 0 being cold, our coffee was 25.We did look for the staff, but there was a one way system due to vivid regulations.

Visited here on Saturday and loved it so much we booked a table for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. The staff (especially Taz) are excellent, extremely friendly and a credit to Sprokwobbles, makes such a difference from some of the experiences we have had in other cafe's in Usk. Quality and choice of food is superb and very well priced and even though it was 12.30pm they let us choose anything from the menu including the breakfasts which are usually served until 12noon - so nice and another example of how to retain customers and build up loyalty... as well as such a pleasant change from the usual "no it's past the breakfast option time" ! A great plus point as well is that they allow dogs! Great to see a cafe so full as well, both on the 50% off day and a "regular" day. So glad we found this cafe, I can't speak highly enough of it and will certainly male it our first stop in future. Thank you again and thank you Taz for your excellent customer service and it was your great attitude that made us return for a second visit.

Nipped in here for a quick breakfast after a large night out, lovely little tardis, spaced out tables, we sat in the garden, nice and sunny in the spot we chose! very safe, quick and efficient and friendly staff! My only complaint is in this current pandemic, I had tea delivered and had to go and ask for sugar, I was told to take a sugar jar from an empty table, I could then see salt and pepper also sat on the tables! I’m not sure how many people had handled these jars or salt and pepper shakers before, but the jar and it’s pinchers did not look clean enough for me, although I’m sure they are wiped down! It was fine tho as I had taken hand sanitiser with me so used before and after as precaution, my suggestion would to be not to leave them out on the tables and to instead provide fresh pots of sugar, salt and pepper as a person orders to make them feel more comfortable in these uncertain times! However tea and food was great and very reasonably priced! Worth a visit!

Please come and visit this quirky little coffee shop. As all the businesses in Usk, Sprokwobbles has gone the extra mile to make all their customers feel comfortable and safe. Sample the best coffee in Usk together with delicious cakes and light lunches. The garden at the rear of the shop is a little oasis.Again no expense spared to make it a calm peaceful environment .

Amazing job done by all the Sprokwobbles team to make it as safe as possible whilst retaining its relaxed feel. The courtyard is a lovely place to sit with nice touches to make children welcome. The food is excellent as always and the cake is delicious. They offer a warm welcome to everyone passing through (be it cyclists or babies!). Highly recommend a visit!

The outside doesn’t do this lovely place justice. Once inside it’s comfortable, friendly and welcoming. ( including dogs! My doggy was very happy there). Gorgeous food, and amazing cappuccino. Would totally recommend.

Lovely little coffee shop, we had hot chocolate and cake, loved all the quirky photos, etc, our kind of place to visit.

What a wonderful welcome, lovely cup of tea, fab cappuccino, pasty and scrumptious almond slice. All despite the fact we (2 humans and THREE dogs) were covered in mud 5 miles into our day hike!! Thank you for being so kind and for the gravy bones for the muddy doggies too. Truly dog friendly is always hard to find and you guys nailed it !!

We only popped in for coffee and a slice of cake but both were excellent and the welcome was warm and friendly!

We stopped here for a tea & coffee & cake each in the afternoon. Very friendly efficient service. Quickly took our order and prepared it whilst we found somewhere to sit. The tea was excellent very good strong taste just as my partner likes it and my large coffee was large and very tasty. We shared a slice of victora sponge and carrot cake and both were utterly delicious! Both were fresh, homemade and just super super taste. We will definitely be coming back here and bringing friends for lunch!

I loved the quirky nature of this little cafe with amusing signs on the wall (a naughty corner), a mix of interesting furniture and unobtrusive but pleasant background music. The scones with clotted cream and jam were delicious and were served with fresh blueberries. The toilets were clean. We also bought a Welsh mug from the shop section at the front 'Stay calm and cwtch'. So nice to have coffee somewhere that is independent and not part of a big chain.

Had a tea stop here whilst cycling in the area. Very warm welcome and lots of appetising snacks. Seating at the rear of the cafe. Safe place to park your bike.

We popped in for a coffee while exploring & sheltering from the rain.We were greeted by a cosy front room feel & friendly host. Once the menu arrived Eggs Benedict were calling, my Friend had another dish. They were divine & service was speedy. Very reasonably priced too.Attached to the side is a little deli selling welsh cheeses, preserves & other local produces. Highly recommend if you are in Usk .

My wife and I regually visit Sprokewobble. I usually have the tripple toasted sandwich, my favourite. My wife has the chicken, ham and leek pie with salad.(comes with very nice pickled onions)

Had coffee here recently, a different approach to a lot of cafes because one sits on settes or in armchairs - all very very comfortable. I would not like to claim the coffee is the best in town but it is acceptable. The location is on the main street of usk and immediately opposite the exit from the main usk carpark onto the main street.

Whilst waiting for my car to be serviced I walked into Usk, and came across Sprokwobbles, popped in for a breakfast, what a beautiful and quaint establishment, met on entry by 2 very cheerful ladies, found a seat in one of the 2 rooms, very comfortable seating, spacious with a really lovely setting, background music just adds to the remarkable ambience here, the ladies running the venue were so polite and friendly the food served was delicious, I for one will certainly come back here again and highly recommend others to do so too, superb eatery.

We love this place , so do our dogs who enjoy the garden area and the staff who are always pleased to see them . The staff are very accommodating to Vegan’s and vegetarians and their coffee is gorgeous. Now the summer is back we’ll be spending more and more time there , chilling out , with our furry friends after a long walks in the park . This is our favourite dog friendly venue. Staff really pleasant and friendly, atmosphere relaxed and unhurried. Beautifully clean with an array of specialty foods on sale like yummy chutneys, cheeses , antipasti , gluten free cakes and pies . In our opinion it’d the best little place in Usk

Popped into this oddly named dog friendly coffee shop whilst visiting the charming little town of Usk. What a delight! The coffee is good as is the friendly service and it also doubles up as a delicatessen which has a good selection of cheeses.

Visited for a quick coffee during the Usk Choral Festival. Sat in the naughty corner and had the tastiest lamb pie and house salad. Nicest little cafe I've been to in a long time, will definitely recommend

I had a vegan Sprokburger and my WIFE a plot man's and they were both very good. In hindsight I might have ordered something else with the burger as it just comes with crisps but that might just be because my wife's food seemed so plentiful. We sat at a picnic table in a patch of sun in the very back garden and enjoyed the peaceful spot.

Purchased 2 slices of cake to take away . Cost £7.80 . 1 chocolate cake and 1 Bakewell. The chocolate one was eaten by myself which was ok . My partner tried the Bakewell but came across some plastic so it went in the bin . Dissatisfied as you don't expect to find plastic in the cake . Sorry but true.

This place is really quirky, had great meal, very dog friendly, and very welcoming. Would recommend to anybody going through monmouthshire to visit.

Looking for somewhere comfortable, cozy, a bit different? Look no further...really good coffee and a really scrumptious triple sandwich. Comfortable surroundings. Calm and quiet. Free wi-fi, only down side for me was that dogs were allowed in. Looking forward to our next visit.

4 of us went for lunch and had a lovely time. The table was somewhat small but that is really my only slight criticism. A friendly atmosphere, great service and the food was delicious, especially the burger! (The icing on the carrot cake was also fab) I would happily go back again :D thank you Sprokwobble team!

Wow !! What a little delight in our town of Usk . Happy , friendly staff and fantastic coffee and snacks. Or a heavier meal if you would prefer. We love it here. And they do a fantastic triple toastie if you have had a beer the night before and need that hangover cure.

I’ve eaten here before. The food is good and tasty, and they are able to cater for people with dietary problems without any problem. Today, I just had an expresso. It was really good.

Went to Usk for lunch and was unable to get into my first choice due it having a private function. We decided on Sprokwobble as it was dog friendly and were not disappointed.

Lovely cosy atmosphere with a small breakfast menu. The server was really friendly and we really enjoyed the comfortable surroundings. I had pancakes (not homemade) but still lovely and a generous portion. The breakfast baguette was good also but thr sausages were hot cocktail sausages which wasn't expected would have prefered a real sausage but this may be down to cooking facilities.

We had delicious vegetarian lunches here earlier in the week plus the vegan pasty and Homity pie we took home to eat were equally delicious (although more garlic in the pie would have suited our taste better). Will definitely return

Popped in here yesterday with my partner and I loved the quirky atmosphere. It was very busy, so obviously a popular place to go for a bite to eat in Usk. Had food (House Bagel for myself and a sausage and bacon sandwich for my partner) the bagel was delicious but, the sausages in my partners sandwich were like bullets. However as soon as we advised the waitress of this it was removed from the bill They also have a cute little deli where we bought some delicious ginger biscuits (I don't like ginger biscuits, but these are gorgeous) all in all I would definitely return to Sprokwobble the next time im in Usk.

Stopped for breakfast at Sprokwobbles after an early hot air balloon ride over the Wye Valley. Birthday gift for Mum. Delightful small Cafe not far from the river Usk. Just what I was looking for. Has different seated areas with their own character. Opted for breakfast out in their lovely outdoor area. I thought I’d try something different and ordered the pancakes. I was served three large homemade pancakes with six strips of streaky bacon and a generous quantity of maple syrup. There is also an option to substitute the bacon for blueberries and banana if desired. Glad I had a pot of tea to wash it down as the portion size exceeded expectations. Needles to say I enjoyed very much. Mum enjoyed coffee and a croissant. She was pleased that she was served real raspberry jam (rather than a seedless variety) and that the staff provided her espresso according to her particular requirements. She likes her coffee very strong and very hot so likes a plate over the cup and then dilutes it with equally hot water to taste. Mum was pleasantly surprised that they did exactly as she asked as most people don’t! Good food, great value in a lovely setting. Thank you very much. Hope to visit again soon to try the full breakfast and the selection of homemade cakes.

We popped in on a Sunday for a coffee and poached egg on toast. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. The coffee and food was of a high standard and very enjoyable. comfortable and interestingly eclectic surroundings.

Came here as our usual place was closed on a Monday. The place was quiet the menu had different platters. My friend had a Greek platter which looked very nice but served on a flat platter and food rolled off, my bacon roll was very nice, staff were very pleasant and prices average for Usk tea was served in a large teapot and was plentiful.

We were delighted by the quirky nature of this fascinating restaurant. The staff were attentive and friendly and service was prompt and efficient. This was our first visit, and we are determined that it won't be the last that we make there. We had breakfast with fresh coffee, and, most importantly, the poached eggs were cooked to perfection. All of the ingredients were obviously fresh and the flavours were delicious. It is a delight to find a gem such as this and we strongly recommend anyone to visit.

The surroundings are warm and welcoming. Couple this with a good choice of lovely food and hot drinks, a relaxing atmosphere and great service, it really is a treat on these winter days. Let's get summer here and we can enjoy the lovely garden area as well.

Often call in here, lovely little place, great food, friendly staff (as opposed to the staff at number49 opposite who are snobby and rude).... definitely the nicest coffee shop in usk town! Often have the vegetarian breakfast which is great but even the smaller snacks (jam on toast etc) are lovely as they also use the nicest of ingredients, including ‘real’ bread....

Whilst passing through Usk we stopped for a late lunch and were delighted to find this friendly cafe with such a delicious selection of platters, sandwiches, light bites and cakes - top marks!

Our two Australian friends needed a spot of lunch and Sprokwobble delivered a generous, high quality lunch at a reasonable price. A low key, pleasant atmosphere with attentive but unfussy staff there is nowhere better for lunch or coffee in Usk.

Llamado en aquí cuando dando un paseo alrededor de Usk cuando para correr con mi madre anciana. Snack bar muy bonito con café con leche y té. Fácil de recomendar. Volveremos y pruebe el té y bollos para dos.

Tenía una gran latte, rechacé la galleta poco ya que soy celíaca. Ofrecieron una deliciosa galleta sin gluten poco, que era la primera vez que he sido ofrecida. Los pasteles y otros productos de delicatessen para clientes habituales parecía muy interesante. La única razón para no intentar cualquier era un hotel con desayuno esa mañana.

Estuvimos aquí en una larga ruta en bicicleta a través de Gales. Servicio muy alegre y amable, buena comida y un ambiente elegante de los alrededores /. Me animo a dejar las bicicletas en la parte trasera, en su jardín donde están seguros y a salvo. Me encantó.

Caught the name as we drove past. Can't not look at a place called that!Service was personal and warm. food was varied and delicious. Beautifully prepared, high quality, quick to arrive. We had a pot of tea - which arrived with a cinnamon biscuit. Then daughter had the Spanish platter - which she couldn't finish - so they boxed it to go. I had eggs Benedict. Excellent.

We saw the name and had to have a look! Sprokwobble is a cute and quirky coffee shop and deli. There are interesting objects and lovely old books around the café and customers are welcome to look.We had coffees, carrot cake and vegan coconut cake and everything was delicious.It's definitely worth a look if you want something a little different.

What a fab friendly place, good food and good atmosphere, with the added bonus of a deli-food store catering in different cheeses and gluten free cakes and flour. Food and coffee very good and I can recommend the Spanish Platter, but the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup are also a must. Good news is they also allow dogs which is rare these days, but ideal if you've been out walking and fancy recharging your batteries. Friendly staff finish it all off, I have been there quite a few times and will carry on going there. Give it a try it's worth it.

What a superb place; had a great welcome and then an excellent tea and coffee and the raspberry and almond cake was out of this world! The ambience was so friendly. \the deli has a fantastic range of items, including the excellent Crafty Dog Cymru jams and chutneys., It;s also dog friendly so can't wait to go back with our rescued greyhound.

Often pop on here for a coffee when in Usk. Really warm and comfy cafe serving homemade fresh snacks/cakes and good coffee. Deli selection very good and lots of local produce.

We enjoyed a late breakfast here. Pancakes, panino and hot tea and coffee. Made to order and quick waitress service and good value for money. Name of cafe seems to come from series of children's books for sale on the premises.

Stopped here for a cup of tea and a sandwich on our way to Cardiff. Lovely food, pot of tea topped up at our request, smiling, friendly staff. Worth a visit.

Sprockwobbles is a lovely cafe/deli that I often visit when staying with family in Usk. Today mum and I decided to treat ourselves to a doorstep bacon sandwich for brunch and it was delicious. I am tempted to try one of the platters (Greek, Spanish or Italian) for lunch next time we visit. We sat outside in the courtyard garden which was quiet and peaceful - you couldn't hear any traffic from the main street. The cafe inside has a nice relaxed atmosphere and is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I always buy some cheese from the deli counter and today tried Tintern with chives. Looking forward to having some for supper.Sprockwobbles is the best cafe in Usk!

Popped in for a leisurely cuppa and cakes and was surprised how big it was inside compared from the outside. Pleasant friendly staff and a lovely clean place. They do light lunches too, and there's a large selection of cheeses to buy. No wonder it's popular with the locals. Recommended

When visiting Usk we pop in here for coffee and occasionally snacks. It is like a home from home, you can sit and while away the time either chatting or reading newspapers and nobody bothers you to move on as soon as your drinks are finished.

Came here with my daughter and elderly mum who can be quite critical so I'm always on my guard when I take her out! I need not have worried as the service and food were excellent. We all enjoyed a light lunch followed by delicious cakes. More importantly, we were made to feel welcome by the warmth of the staff, unlike our experience at an upmarket coffee shop/interior design shop over the road.

From the second you step through the entrance you can feel the welcoming warmth of the quirky little cafe. A lovely atmosphere and very special coffee. Loved it.

Very well run establishment. Go there for your deli items (the focolare ham is spectacular!) or stay and have a snack/meal. Very friendly. Great addition to Usk.

Sprockwobbles is a true delight. Cosy and comfortable, with great service. Always a friendly welcome. The coffee is delicious and there is always a good selection of fresh homemade cakes. A good selection on the menu, again freshly prepared. The outside seating area is a bonus, particularly as dogs are welcome. Always happy to recommend!

This is a great place to get lunch, brunch or breakfast. This is a great little place. I am so glad we stopped. The service is exceptional. The food and drink we got were excellent. I might come back to Usk, just to come to this great little cafe/deli.

An amazing experience at this lovely little delicatessen. Such a variety of deli, pasties, cheeses, cake etc..... It was difficult to choose. Extremely tasty bites, the best coffee in town & very friendly staff who went out of their way to make our first visit such an enjoyable experience. We're definitely going back for more . With a name like Sprokwobble we were expecting a quirky little cafe bursting with character and mismatched furniture. Not the case, conference chairs and metal garden tables lacking in atmosphere.Coffee was lovely, slight problem with our food order but the staff were very apologetic and it was quickly rectify and the amended food order was tasty enough.

Annoyingly we couldn't take full advantage of all the lovely food they had to offer!...as ours was a swift "cup of tea and cake" visit... but judging from the satisfied looks of those tucking in around us and their accompanying groans of appreciation ... I'll be back!!

Great local Deli, great choice of cheese bread and friendly staff, worth a visit on bridge street usk

This is a little gem of a place. Walk along Usk High street and if you're distracted you might miss it. You'd miss some of the loveliest local produce and deli counter this side (east) of the Usk river. try some of their cheeses - many of them locally sourced - and the delicious focolare ham. Fabulous.

We called in for a late lunch and enjoyed our food. The service was very good and it was just what you need a cafe to be.

Lovely tea for me and 5 yr old. Greek salad and hearty ham sandwiches with quality ham and beautiful fresh bread. Would definitely recommend.

Appreciate people who have worked hard to make this venue a good place to visit. Now including a pretty small courtyard garden that is also dog friendly. The best coffee in town. Great selection of Welsh cheeses.

We were looking for a quick lunch and found only two places opened on the high street. Went for Sporkwobble – no regrets. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food.

After being turned down by a restaurant next door because it was 2.37 and they stopped serving lunch at 2.30, Sprokwobble welcomed us with open arms as they were still serving and what luck we were in. The food portions were huge and very reasonably priced. A lovely spread of meat, cheeses and bread, and to top off a lovely lunch we had a traditional knickerbocker glory!! Very impressed, and such lovely welcoming staff. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon. Thank you very much!!

Sitting in Sprokwobbles having a lovely coffee and the best bacon sandwiches I've had in ages. Really friendly staff. Super place. Will be back!

Lovely place! Good location, interesting deli. Stopped in for a quick sarnie and a coffee and everything was very nicely done.

Came across this little deli and coffee shop whilst walking round Usk. It has a lovely vibe about it, the staff are really friendly and there is a great choice on the menu. The coffee was particularly good and we tried the sandwiches and home made cakes which were great. It was reasonably priced and there were some tasty looking items in the deli for sale, Pearl Las cheese being one of them which is not so easy to find. The pies and pasties looked really tempting but my favourite was their choice of homemade cakes - really difficult to choose. All in all a lovely little place and we will definitely be back to sample more of the menu and their fab cakes!

Called in for a simple coffee and a sandwich and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of both. Probably the best cafe coffee in Usk.

This was my second visit to this café and I was impressed on both occasions. There is an excellent choice of savoury and sweet items on the menu, food is well presented and good value and staff are pleasant and obliging. It is also wheel chair friendly-we had my disabled mum with us- and there is a delightful deli under the same roof. My only criticism was that the, otherwise delicious prawn sandwich I ordered was definitely not prepared with proper butter but with one of those brightly coloured and not especially pleasant spreads.

Popped in for tea for 2 with my elderly aunt (who's a bit fussy). Nothing was too much trouble for them. :)

We were looking for a quick sandwich to eat but didn't fancy paying pub prices or drinking beer.So we liked the sound of the name and went in. We were asked what we wanted straight away and although it was just a sandwich I have to say it was the ,tastiest and best presented sandwich I have ever had! Praise indeed!I had intended to try some of their cake but was very full up after their very fillng and reasonably priced sandwich ! The tea was also one of the best tasting teas I have had out.People of Usk you are lucky to have a place like this, if I lived there I would be in there a lot!

'Sprokwobble...' hmmm, sounds kinda gastric. There's obviously a sub-plot here regarding a local author and a strange name for a cafe, but who cares? We called by at 5pm, floors were being cleaned, didn't have high hopes of being served - but not a bit of it! Coffee and what cakes were left were willingly fetched and very much enjoyed. As we were cycling from Hereford to Newport, it was chance to ask the owners about the lie of the land south of Usk. They were very helpful, advising us a sensible route and how good the roads were for bicycles. Advice duly taken and appreciated. All in all what you like to get when you stop off in a small town.

We were in Usk and popped in here for a light lunch. Excellent fare and service - I can thoroughly recommend the Ploughmans! Very relaxed good quality lunch.

Having visited the very friendly local post office and with time to kill, I thought I'd pop in to see the newly extended Sprokwobble cafe in Bridge Street - brave decision to reduce the historic H & R hardware store! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fantastic blackberry & apple cake with a hot latte - served at my request in a cup rather than the glass ( alcohol only in glass for me! ) which wasn't any issue. Thank you. I was asked after eating the said cake if everything was ok and on the basis the plate was clear we did chuckle! Latte was tops too. Well done Sprokwobble - warm friendly and clean - a great addition to Usk!!
