We often call in here on our cycle rides for a cuppa and bacon sandwich or full English - The food is always really good and well-cooked, and the welcome warm and friendly. A superb cafe!

Dropped in by the off chance. It was fairly busy but was told by the local that it's a new establishment. Cosy, nice and clean place. Food was very good and well presented. I must say the coffee was out of this world. It has to be one of the best coffee I have had in a very long time. If you are a coffee drinker you must try this place and you won't be disappointed!

Considering that Kate and Mark have only recently taken over this café/restaurant they have worked wonders. They are resourceful and inventive and their 'pop up' evenings are a major success. The quality of the food is first class (thoroughly enjoyed the Indian night) and the coffee is to die for. They have plans for expansion and they deserve every success as they clearly work extremely hard to achieve the gold standard. The summer 'courtyard' is quaint and a lovely little spot to sit and while away your summer afternoons. If you haven't visited yet get yourselves down there!

It's no surprise Kate and Mark, after only a few short months, are winning awards for their new cafe and featuring in local magazines. There is simply nothing like it and dining out last night was heavenly. Each Wednesday there is a themed evening dinner and last night was 'Game'. It was utterly delicious! The atmosphere is warm and friendly with millions of twinkly candles and an intimate setting. It comes highly recommend and I'm looking forward to my return visit.

Kate & Mark are so very welcoming, inventive, and briliiant in their choice of food that they make, their enthusiasm is invectious, lovely, lovely. It is really refreshing to have such a new vibe in West Meon. They have created something quite special here and it's good business for the shop too. It has become addictive for me especially at the weekends (Coffee!!)Long may it flourish and grow. Heres to Springs!!!

Attended for Sunday roast. There were four of us and the service was absolutely brilliant. The food came out promptly and there was plenty of it. It was also delicious.

We thought it was good but no more. The staff were very polite and attentive. Excellent sourdough (although would of been nice to be included on a £49.95 for 3 course lunch) and cracking pigs in blankets. Cured trout was a lovely light starter. Beef fillet although accurately cooked lacked the wood fired characteristics. A fillet really doesn't have enough time to get flavour from the wood fired oven due to its size. Other larger cuts of beef with some fat would be a better choice. Accompanying veg were ok but the cauliflower cheese again lacked any of the advertised 'wood fired' flavour and cheese sauce a little thin. We also thought this recently when dining in the Avenue restaurant what a shame there are no real local sparkling wines listed. Yes Ridgeview is in Southern England but some 70 miles away. You've got excellent quality producers like Black Chalk, Hattingley Valley, Louis Pommery, Raimes, Candover Brook and The Grange all within 10 miles.

How can you mess up a Ploughman’s Lunch? Come to the D&C and see. Microwaved half baguette that went dry, crisp and stale immediately. Cheese was appalling. The worst type of cheap, tasteless, doughy cheddar. Pork pie that was missing the pork. We will not be returning.
