It was the first time I had seen my parents in months due to lockdown, so we spent 5 hours in the shop and cafe (ate in cafe twice). We spend over £150. A few days later we received a £60 parking fine for spending too long at the shop. We tried to dispute with proof of purchase, but was just told we would be fined £100 if we don't pay by October. Will not be visiting the shop again, and advising others to avoid.

I visited today and had breakfast and a flat white, I haven’t been for a few years as My last experience when it was Wyevale was awful but I have to say today was a pleasure, My flat white was lovely and My breakfast was beautiful, the ladies who work in the restaurant was lovely and helpful, the restaurant was spotlessly clean and very organised. I then had a walk round the shop and was really pleased at all the lovely gifts etc, I will definitely be back. And the restaurant having dog friendly tables too is a definite for Me.

We have used this cafe for many years and were please when the previous owner changed their policy regarding dog owners and allowed them to be seated at the front of the restaurant on four large tables. On our last visit hoping for a full cooked breakfast, we sat down at a table with a sign for dog owners, in fact the table we have sat many times before. This is an ideal table as the dog is not in the main through fair and unlikely to be trodden on. On this occasion, we were meet by a young chap who took an instant disliking to us and the dog, basically removing the sign and placing it on a table for two outside the restaurant area. When we questioned the sudden change of policy, he stated that its always been this way and the sign was placed on the wrong table. We tried to point out that we have been many times before without issues but he was adamant that we must sit outside. While this is all happening the young blond girl behind the counter was smirking all the time. I would have thought that a new business would hope to keep loyal customers for previous but in this case that is far from the truth. We never had an issue with the food and service, but would I recommend this place now, no, unless you want to be insulted.

I can’t understand the poor reviews, it’s a lovely little place, friendly staff, varied menu, great food and delicious cakes. What more could you want from a garden centre cafe! I had the fish finger ciabatta which was lovely and fresh, well presented and with a little side salad!

Whilst everything was ok, it is VERY expensive. We popped in, 4 toasties, 3 cakes and teas and coffees was just under £47! Certainly won’t be a regular visit

We popped into the Garden Restaurant 20/04/2019, it was lunch time and the restaurant was very busy. Queued for 20 mins, no menus left to look at so waited to be served and then ask what we could have. We ordered a sandwich, toastie, panine, 2 cups of tea, Diet Coke tin and 7up tin......£29.65. For what we had I feel £29.65 was a joke, £2.10 for teas an £2 for tin of coke. The 3 plates of food all arrived with a nasty wilted and tinged brown edges salad, we didn’t eat any of the salad. My wife’s sandwich with sound lovely was absolutely horrible, Wiltshire Ham, Cheddar Cheese and water cress. Please check the picture I have taken of the sandwich, does it look like a sandwich that cost £5.85? No butter on the bread, ham and cheese looked very processed and the water cress looked wilted and a week old. Really feel we have been ripped off, gutted we wasted our money

When visiting this centre recently I was extremely surprised to find everything I wanted and more. The staff are so friendly and also from the restaurant too. I decided to eat in the restaurant after not being in here before, and the standards were great. Smiles, service and good food. Overall a great experience and I would advise anybody to shop and visit here. The centre is situated at the bottom of the car park which is next to B&Q. Overall good plant quality, good range of all products in areas and great food! Well done Wyevale!

Hadn’t visited for a while as service got so slow before Christmas but thought I would give it another go. Despite warning of 40 minute wait, I ordered a cheese jacket potatoe with extra coleslaw - this was queried as I was told the salad garnish included coleslaw but I was happy to pay £1 for extra. 40 minutes later out came two separate plates of jacket, cheese and coleslaw - no salad so no extra coleslaw. Told the waitress and 10 minutes later I got a bowl of lettuce and tomatoes . Cheese on the JP was pretty solid so must have been sitting under heat lamp for a while. I now give up and won’t be back

This restaurant it absolutely terrible - Firstly the service is very poor the staff are rude and the food is very unappetising. I ordered toast and marmalade for two people, but when it came out all the toast was on one plate and to my horror the toast had already been cut up and buttered - Yuck! I also ordered a latte and and earl grey tea but my cup was not only dirty but also chipped so I took the cup back and tried to tell the person who served me what the problem was but her response was quite rude and abrupt and at that point we then decided leave and go elsewhere for breakfast. On returning home I phoned the garden center to speak to the manager but had to speak to two people before speaking to the acting manager who said this was totally unacceptable and he would look into it and ring me back, I have to add that he did offer a free breakfast which I declined of which he then offered a full refund of the £9.50 for the cost of the breakfast but as I explained to him my reason for complaining wasn’t about the cost it was about the service received. I am still waiting 7 days later to hear from him so needless to say we will never ever think about going there again.

Called in on a wet day for lunch and had to queue for ages to place the order. Good selection of cakes which are in the middle of the room. I had a bacon & Brie panini but was disappointed as contained a very tiny slice of Brie and the lettuce in the side salad was brown. The children’s meal of chicken nuggets, chips and beans was ok. There is plenty of seating, staff pleasant and good toilet facilities. The jacket potatoes looked very good. So some positives and definitely worth a visit.

Nice place to pop into for a coffee and cake or something more substantial. They have a published lunch menu on the board, sandwiches and snacks are on a separate menu, there never seems to be a copy available so ask for it. Clean toilets close by. Perfect pit stop if your either in the Garden centre of doing your DIY shopping at B&Q

We frequent this garden centre quite often & after choosing our plants etc we usually end up in their restaurant. They can provide you with just a snack or something more substantial if you wish & all for a very reasonable price.

We only ever use this place if it's mid morning and only for drinks as the service is terrible. Each time we go we notice after a while leading up to early lunchtime the queues are dreadful and the staff as so slow. We use it out of per convenience for a catch up and only for a tea/coffee and then it takes ages! Clearly it needs more experienced staff and supervision, such a shame as this place could be very good as the surroundings are nice and the parking is fine.

We tried the afternoon tea for two, £16. Six finger sandwiches with plenty of fillings. Two large scones (warm), Rodda clotted cream and Tiptree Raspberry Jam. Three cakes each. More than enough! We took home what we couldn't manage to eat there.

Came here to get fish food pellets and decided to have a bite to eat. It's a clean and tidy little place with very smart staff who seem very efficient but perhaps need to smile a bit more . I ordered a jacket potato with chicken and bacon and when it arrived in good time I was pleasantly surprised. It was clearly home made as well as the coleslaw and for once the jacket had been oven cooked and was perfectly soft and fluffy inside. The lettuce was slightly wilted but not unpleasant. All round the meal was very good but sadly the cappuccino was rather flat and more like a flat white but the flavour was there and no bitter aftertaste and it was hot and the chocolate on top was just how it should be (yes I am very fussy but it's the little things that make all the difference) for just over £8 I was impressed at the quality of the chicken and bacon filling, the coleslaw and the general efficiency of the staff however the cappuccino needs work. And smile!

Our favourite venue for a meal, the service is always first class and selection of food is always variable. local parking is ideal for me as walking is limited. It is a family venue Thankyou for always making the effort.

Good food for the price. Around 10 pound for a meal including a drink is good value for your money. Food is very good, but it is a pub so also a lot of drink options. If you look for a more fancy meal this is not the place for you.
