Always great for different sandwiches at lunchtime and sausage rolls, I go regularly as the place is near me, always had and have friendly people working there

Busy but friendly take-away selling beautiful food. Five ravenous guys with no breakfast made more than happy.

Not only does Splits bakery produce the best cakes and sandwiches in the village, now that their café has reopened we have visited a number of times and can personally recommend their breakfasts, freshly prepared, delicious and great value for money. There is a varied menu in the café with specials too. The bakery offer an excellent selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches, since trying their freshly baked bread, I haven’t bought bread from anywhere else! Always a friendly welcome from the Splits team, this traditional bakery is an absolute gem.

The café has only just reopened after a 2 year break with the Covid restrictions and so on. It was a lovely little cafe in our previous experiences so decided to give it a try again and were not disappointed. During their closure, they have had the place refurbed to a high standard and feels fresh. We had a breakfast and the food quality was second to none. The staff are very friendly and attentive and we would recommend this place highly.

Traditional friendly bakery with old fashioned individual attention. If you want a fast and impersonal service this is probably not for you. Rolls and sandwiches made to order for you by lovely staff. My chicken salad Mayo on fresh bap was made by a lovely caring lady who also made me a great cup of tea to takeaway. The ice cream was served by another friendly and cheerful lady, in a delicious sugar cone and a very generous amount of ice cream. The cakes looked good, I decided to go for a baked custard tart which was big enough for two (I managed to eat most of it though as it was so good, before sharing some with my boyfriend!) deliciously fresh custard, pastry that was to die for and light yet firm enough to hold the custard without breaking (as shop bought ones do when you are part way through eating). Best custard tart I’ve even had. I like a nice Pastel de Nata but given the choice of a classic baked custard tart from Splits then you can keep the Portuguese version :)

Was woking in the area and fancied a spot of lunch. Went to this bakery to get a sandwich and a cake. There was a great choice on the sandwich menu and all made fresh to order. I also had the biggest Belgium bum if seen lol. It was great quality and filled a big hole ready for me to continue my day.

The tempting window display of fresh cakes and pastries beckon you in. The smell of home made bread is wonderful. Great cafe too. Lovely staff. Try one of their home made sandwiches - wonderful

Disgusted with this place! Went in here earlier got 2 rolls ones coffee and 2 milkshakes for £15 sat down and was told I wasn’t allowed to sit down at their tables bcos I have to pay extra???? When I came in no one asked if we were eating in or not yet we were then told we had to get out after giving them £15 for 3 drinks and 2 rolls! Really regretted going there and will certainly never be going there again!

Clean and busy atmosphere. I was disappointed as it's so expensive for snacks and food. Coffee was reasonable but service slow. I ordered toast and marmalade which was served with 4 small butter portions. All dates on the butter where over a month out of date! Not impressed at all.

What looks to be a bakery from the 80’s Is actually a bakery from the 80’s with a great cafe menu to boot. You will enjoy a cottage pie a good strong cup of tea and then order an apple cream donut or bake well slice. Really friendly staff and good food. Just be warned Wednesdays is the chefs day off as the town is shut for half day, therefore reduced menu.

Foods always good especially the daily specials which are as good as any restaurant. Staff are a bit slow but only to be expected... bread sandwiches and cakes all made on site and top class.

We have been using this bakers for 25 years but in the last few years it has been dissapointing where have all the lovely cakes gone!!! And the staff are so slow and unfriendly it's an effort for them to serve you. Come on Splits you can do much better bring back the Russian Slices, mince slice and cherry shortbread.

Great portion sizes, couldn't finish it all! I will definitely visit again, only improvement is the decor, a little updating and this place would be perfect

Had meals here for the first time last week. Was impressed by quality, price and especially portion size. Extremely satisfied with both food and the service from Emma. Will definitely go again and recommend to anyone looking for reasonably priced food in East Wittering

Metimos en un sándwich y salieron llenos! Pedimos un queso calentito y esperar una pequeña, media calentito. Era enorme y no escatiman en el queso. Mi marido tenía salchichas y bacon sandwich y que era generoso. Un riquísimo pan fresco y vino con una ensalada pequeña y col. Patatas fritas. . . 1 porción es suficiente para compartir entre 2. Gran Jarra de té. Gran lugar para visitar después de un largo paseo por la playa.

Stopped off for breakfast, cafe and bakery combined, there is limited room in this cafe but the breakfast was freshly cooked and good quality including their own fresh cut bread with a chose of white, whole meal or granary all with a large pot of tea, large chose of breakfast menu and are also happy or you choose off menu, also have a large lunch menu

The café has all the usual cooked breakfast and at lunch time a good, but limited specials. Fair prices. The bakery has good cake and make sandwiches, although I have not had them

I do go regular for breakfast and lunch, never been let down, they lunch specials which are great also the bakery is fresh. Anyone comes to east wittering, do try this place for the food.

Went in for breakfast and really glad we did. Really friendly and helpful staff and fabulous breakfast.
