Spilt Milk in City of London, Westminster

Amazing place! Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. I come here regularly now and the service and food is one of the best I’ve experienced. I brought my friend with me and they helped her adjust the menu for her dietary requirements happily, and let us in earlier before opening so we weren’t cold outside! Love this place, and it’s always a pleasure to come.

Me and my friend asked for the Caspa’s special with MILK CHOCOLATE however they gave us first of all the wrong thing and then with white chocolates when we specifically asked for MILK CHOCOLATE and then refused to give us a new waffle. He also started arguing with us that we asked for white chocolate and said that white chocolate was the milk chocolate .The service was appalling just because we were without an adult they thought that we were incapable of ordering and managing our own things. I am very disappointed 😞 It was an atrocious experience.

Very friendly staff. The Spanish Latte was recommended and rightly so, as it was a taste sensation(even though a bit too sweet). The waffle with fruit was big and filling. I enjoyed everything about the visit and for a summer place to eat on the High Street, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be returning...

After deciding not to stay at Dotty’s Tea Room (along the road from here) because the lady opening up was so rude, we came here for our breakfast. We were immediately greeted in the correct way - warm and friendly. We both had the English breakfast, but I had poached eggs and my wife had fried. It was a lovely breakfast. The eggs were a little overdone but that didn’t spoil an otherwise cracking plate of food. Very nice Cappuccinos too. We’ll definitely make this our place to go in Carshalton.

The food is mediocre, poor quality ingredients and missing items from what we ordered. The staff have a poor attitude and act like as if customers are a massive inconvenience. It's a pretty cafe, but really style over substance. You'd be far better visiting Costa or JayJays next door,both better food and staff.

It is community and business that we need to support by buying from this eatery. The new owners have a lot to learn about staff management and start using better quality ingredients.

We popped in for a hot drink, cake and a little rest. It did not disappoint. The lemon drizzle cake was tasty, ample and filling. The staff were welcoming and kind.

I love this place. Food is reasonable and tasty and staff are friendly. They have a breakfast and lunch menu but sometimes make allowances so worth asking. Cake is tasty too!

Lovely little restaurant in Carshalton. Sat right next to a chain coffee shop, the coffee and cakes here are far superior to the offerings you could buy next door. I like the eggs, bacon and waffles which is a tasty plate, for not much money. Staff here are friendly and kind. Chaps usually bring water out for my black lab without being asked. Place is usually busy with a nice vibe. I wish them every success and encourage locals to visit. Great stop off after a bimble around Beddington or Carshalton park.

I have been to this café several times with different people. They have very strict rules that you cannot order breakfast after 12, and you cannot order non-breakfast items before 12, the same chef is cooking, the same food, one minute before 12 and one minute after 12, even though I tried to buy a main course meal for 12, which was more expensive than what I actually ordered it was not about, I even offered to pay more, but no still not allowed. This is complete madness, The food is reasonable, but the quality of the ingredients has definitely gone downhill since the new owners taken over.

My friend and I popped in to warm up after a lovely, but very chilly walk in the area. We had some warming hot chocolate with some sweet treats. It seems like a lovely little independent cafe/eatery.

Lovely little independent cafe in Carshalton Village. Such a nice contrast to the large ‘chain’ coffee shop next door. They have a great range of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes, as well as desserts and shakes. Service is freindly and personable and they do the most fabulously round poached eggs I’ve ever seen!
