Spicy Aroma in Newport

Ordered take away through just eat, quoted 30-45 minute wait, food arrives after 1 hour. Missing one of the main curry dishes (of 4 ordered). Called several times, they don't pick up their phone as switched to answer phone. Always a bad sign if you ask me. Messaged on Facebook - left several messages but no call back. Avoid as food is okay but portion sizes small considering the prices they charge. Won't be using again & if you have any sense, you'd avoid them too!

Ordered from here quite a bit and have never had a bad experience, the food is always amazing. My normal curry that I order is the Chicken Bhuna which is delicious, accompanied by Chana rice which I love. Every order has been delivered quickly, piping hot and with a smile on the delivery drivers face.

Ordered direct from the website, delivery expected 1hr 10 mins. Arrived in 30 mins and piping hot. Great portions and lovely tasting food.

Called for takeaway and customer service looks so unprofessional. Order curry and rice and ask for an onion omelette for my 4 years old daughter. They said they don’t sell omelette only I have to buy omelette, chips and peas. They can’t sell omelette only. Person talking to me was so unprofessional and made me buy omelette,chips and peas. When the food arrived it was leaking and food was taste less. I will not order anything from this restaurant.

This place is utter crap, over 2 hours waiting for a delivery. Rang to enquire where it was, to be told it would be 20 minutes. Guess what 20 mins later, no delivery. Don’t bother.

ordered online, v ery easy £2 delivery charge for 5 miles out in the country. We asked for 18.30 delivery Acceptance email said delivery would be 18.50, food arrived piping hot 5 minutes early!! every dish was eaten with relish, very high standard. We have loved having a delivery from this place, the food has been lovely, but the customer service is absolutely appalling. We had become regulars, but no more. We ordered our usual Friday night curry but after we were given a time, it then changed, ok, no problem. Then after the time had lapsed but another 20 mins, my husband rang an enquired about our food, which he was told it had left 5 mins ago, he asked ok, but that’s 30 mins after the original time slot, so what will you do as you are so late - they put the phone down. He then received a text to say our order had been cancelled. He rang them, and they put the phone down on him, he rang again and they didn’t answer. He left a message. He rang back and they answered and said he was confused as to why he had received a text that they had cancelled his order - they said because they thought we wanted the order cancelled and because of his attitude as to why our order was so late... then put the phone down again. So, be aware, if you are unhappy about them being half an hour plus late and still not receiving your ordered, they will cancel your order and keep putting the phone down on you. Absolutely appalling customer service.

We ordered a takeaway last Friday. Haven't used Spicy Aroma for a while. We had the king prawn madras and asked for a spicy lamb saag balti. We also had the extras, rice, mushroom bahjee etc. It was delivered on time by a lovely young man and the food was outstanding. So nice, we almost ordered again the next night. Will definitely be ordering from here again soon.

Nice takeaway meals and at a good price, I have had lots of very good takeaway meals from the spicy I always call in and pick them up, the meals are ready quite quickly and are always good

Friendly family run takeaway restaurant with a good selection of dishes. Always freshly cooked in the open plan kitchen. We have always enjoyed the food from here

Great food at a great price. The food was really hot when it arrived and we would deffinatley visit again.
