Food is good, delivery person was lovely but food took an 1 hour 15 minutes to arrive from ordering.

First time ordering here, we got mailed a menu and decided to take a punt, the woman who took our order was so friendly, food arrived quicker than expected, it was piping hot and tasted delicious, the meat was very tender and the sauces they were in were delicious. We will totally be ordering again! Thank you so much:-)

The food was very greasy (oil all pooled in the bag and stained our counter). Food was ok but not as flavourful as we expected.

Fantastic meal the best Indian I’ve had! So much meat and the sauces were very tasty. Lots of vegetables in the biryani sauce. Overall great and will definitely order from here again

The food was lovely, only problem was the naan bread was quite chewy & for a mild chicken curry it was abit spicy for me but other than that it was a nice meal.

Really enjoyed my meal, chicken biriyarni not overly spicy and keema Nan was spot on. Quorn korma had by my partner was not actual quorn but some other substitute. She still enjoyed her meal. Sauce on both meals could be thicker with more vegetables. I would recommend and order again.

Food was lovely as always. Popadom were the freshest but still tasted good. Delivery was a few minutes past the estimated time but on a cold and very wet Friday night 5mins was nothing!

Food come late, couldn’t track it But to top it all off A LADYBUG IS CRAWLING OVER MY FOOD this is either from the restaurant or the driver either way I am not happy at all especially when food is missing even after my food was late I’m disgusted

Good food and came at the later end of the delivery timeframe. Popadoms were missed from the order but just eat refunded this. Aside from that would order again.

Ordered Madras and it was just too spicy, hotter than a Vindaloo. Food quality and delivery was great. I love a Vindaloo now and again but ordered Madras.

In the current econimic climate, a stunning meal for 2, for under 20.00, a real treat! Chicken Madras, Keema nan, chips and mushroom rice!! Free pomps!! All very tasty and great portions!! Highly reccomend!!!

That´s the best restaurant I´ve ordered food so far in Newport. I generally don´t write reviews, but the Indian Cottage deserved one. The food was awesome ( ordered the Goan Garlic King Prawn, it´s really good)! I hope you continue this way! :)

We order from here all the time, the food is always good quality & ALWAYS arrives hot, we were disappointed a few weeks ago when we waited 2 hours for our order which we then cancelled, we had apologies & an explaination from the manager & understandably things happen, we've ordered again since then & we ordered again tonight, the food was OUTSTANDING! tonight, really, really enjoyed it, we even had some onion bhaji, salad & dips which was a surprise, really out done themselves tonight!!!

Always a good meal from the new Indian cottage

Super quick delivery and lovely food. Well worth a try if you're a vegetarian as they do a quorn range. I had the Quorn Korma and it was absolutely delicious. Asked for delivery ASAP and it arrived 10 minutes before the estimated time. Would definitely order from there again.

No other place does a curry like these guys. Bang on every time. Fair plays to them they always get it 100% right

No fault to the restaurant, food was beautiful, my favourite even, and the lady I spoke to on the phone was absolutely brilliant and extremely helpful. The delivery driver however marked the food as delivered before it arrived, it was due by 8:15, and I didn't get it until close to 9pm. The driver also failed to find my address and to read the delivery instructions that provided him with a number to call. Following all that, I went to wait outside after being told he was on the way, was then told he was outside, even though he wasn't, then the driver proceeded to try to blame me for him being unable to find me after I had to walk down the street to find him as he was beeping and circling at the top of the road. The wrong end. I'd like to ask if you could ask your drivers not to blame the customers for them being incompetent. That aside, thank you for the beautiful food.

Found a small piece chewd up MEAT in my veggie dish. Absolutely horrid. Don't bother with this place, the rest of order looked like a joke too. Ended up in the bin sadly.

I'm really sorry to say this but the food looked and tasted like it's made by someone who's never had a decent curry.

Sorry to say wouldn't order from here again. Food wasn't the best. Chips were awful my lamb was fatty and over cooked. Onion bajhi lacked flavor. Paid for the dips at 2.5 only mint sauce and pickles came. Popadoms were nice though.
