Food absolutely disgusting under cooked food so I rang told them said I give you discount next time lucky done it through uber eats got refunded don’t order from here!

Food was ok but very cold. Soggy breads not fresh.

The food was very nice, the only negatives were they were a little bit late with delivery so the chips were a bit room temp/ cold and the order was missing our drink. The restaurant did offer to redeliver the missing drink, however, it was getting late so I didn’t want to bother and just claimed a refund through the app which is fine. Apart from that everything was great and better than other popular Indian restaurants in the area. Recommended.

Awful takeaway. Tikka starter didn’t taste cooked and smelt. Food was cold and the biryani was revolting. What a waste of 36 pounds. Won’t be using this restaurant ever again.

Food didn't look the most appealing especially the onion bhajis. They did look old and over cooked. However, food did taste good and they did put extra filling in the nans like I asked. I just wish I'd checked their hygiene rating before ordering. Honestly, as tasty as the food was, the chocolate rain that followed the next day was not welcomed. I personally won't be ordering again.

Chicken Kohrai was delicious with mushroom rice and poppadoms and onion salad delivery was really fast and really enjoyable

I always considered the Indian Cottage to be the best take away in Newport, not anymore. Whether there is a change of management or chef but the food lacked flavour and the fact they are pre cooking the Lamb then seasoning it ( Tandoori) tasted terrible. The onion bhajee was overly oily, the special nan had very little chilli, and the keema was flavourless, the chicken Tandoori was red that was it. But it arrived on time and hot. Will not be ordering again

food was lovely always is, only 1 complaint and that is we had a keema nan but 3/4s of it was empty ( disappointed with the nan )

The naan breads may have well been plain naans there was literally no filling in either of them !

First time ordering here, we got mailed a menu and decided to take a punt, the woman who took our order was so friendly, food arrived quicker than expected, it was piping hot and tasted delicious, the meat was very tender and the sauces they were in were delicious. We will totally be ordering again! Thank you so much:-)

Food is good, delivery person was lovely but food took an 1 hour 15 minutes to arrive from ordering.

The food was very greasy (oil all pooled in the bag and stained our counter). Food was ok but not as flavourful as we expected.

Really enjoyed my meal, chicken biriyarni not overly spicy and keema Nan was spot on. Quorn korma had by my partner was not actual quorn but some other substitute. She still enjoyed her meal. Sauce on both meals could be thicker with more vegetables. I would recommend and order again.

Food was lovely as always. Popadom were the freshest but still tasted good. Delivery was a few minutes past the estimated time but on a cold and very wet Friday night 5mins was nothing!

Food come late, couldn’t track it But to top it all off A LADYBUG IS CRAWLING OVER MY FOOD this is either from the restaurant or the driver either way I am not happy at all especially when food is missing even after my food was late I’m disgusted

Good food and came at the later end of the delivery timeframe. Popadoms were missed from the order but just eat refunded this. Aside from that would order again.

Ordered Madras and it was just too spicy, hotter than a Vindaloo. Food quality and delivery was great. I love a Vindaloo now and again but ordered Madras.

In the current econimic climate, a stunning meal for 2, for under 20.00, a real treat! Chicken Madras, Keema nan, chips and mushroom rice!! Free pomps!! All very tasty and great portions!! Highly reccomend!!!
