frozen carrots and something else I have no idea but some hard i left aside. I paid 50 pence extra for veg! prawns over cooked tasteless . onions bhajees burnt, 80 pence for 1 smashed poppadoms! been a loyal customer for a long time. won't be any more. pity there's no photos enabled!

Frozen being the operative word. The worst "Indian" food I've had the displeasure of tasting. A cheap ready meal tastes better. Very disappointing, like I've been conned. It's a travesty to have the word Indian used to describe the takeaway. Not a fresh vegetable in sight! Avoid this place at all costs! Banging food for the price but the only thing I have to say is that you have to wait some time if you order online until your food is ready but it’s worth the time 😋

The food was banging on point worth the price the misses on the other hand enjoyed it 😏. Would recommend the chicken tikka byraini as it’s amazing 😋.

ordered captains pathila as its my favourite curry and hardly anywhere does it. it was not a captains pathila, chicken wasn't marinated, sauce wasn't even the right colour and tatsed sour

Read reviews online and ordered 5 minutes before closing time but food came very quick and extremely good quality. They used pulled chicken breast for their curries instead of diced cubes which I enjoyed and found to be fresh, I’m most definitely ordering again and would highly suggest to anyone👍

Do not go to shahnaz balti in newport gwent they messed our order up then was rude to the other half on the phone after he called and tried to ask for some form of compensation for the inconvenience and was over charged and they hung up the phone. Worst customer service ever please save your money and try another curry house you can thank me later. Your welcome.

Ordered Tandoori Shaslik, no mint sauce, a piece of lemon, a piece of cucumber, a slice of tomato and a few strands of lettuce made up the salad. Supposed to be lamb, chicken and king prawns. My meal contained 1 single lonely prawn. I try to support local businesses and I get one rubbish meal after another. You deserve to close if you can't be bothered.

Once again a very tasty takeaway. Delivered earlier than expected and very flavourful and enjoyable. Will definitely be ordering again! 😊

Recoeved confirmation to say it would arrive at 12.15, Received text at 12.09 to say it was on its way, still hadn’t reached me at 12.35 when I rang them, the man was more than rude on the phone even hung up the first time I rang didn’t care at all, just kept saying it was on its way, it turned up at 12.45

Oh my days, where do I even begin? Don’t be fooled by the sofas and TV up front, it’s there to distract you from their cold kitchen and a small freezer where the food originated from. The chicken (no matter the “colour” you order it in) is black inside, probably frozen and forgotten for a long time, on the account of the fact no one really eats here anyway. Thanks Shahnaz Balti for ruining my appetite. Unless you want to discover a new virus I would highly encourage NOT to eat here.

I ordered a family meal. I got a dried Indian. It was shiteeeeee. To say the least. Do not use these.

The best food always !! Been using shahanaz for 10 years never ever had a bad meal they are always super polite and willing to change things on menu if needed the food is always piping hot and always beautiful!!

Hit n miss ,some days its very good other day its just below average . Chef liked to be asked then he make it nice and up to your standard, despite all this its still my atleast once a week order place. Very affordable and generous portions.

Had it from here many years ago not impressed ordered a chicken vindaloo lamb biryani keema rice chips hardly no meat in both meals only rice chips were cold keema nann was burnt popadums was all floppy and stale as if they cooked them 2 days ago not good anymore if I wanted rice I would of made it myself

Second time ordering and did not disappoint amazing food and fast delivery compliments to the chef/chefs

Ordered a keema nan there was 10percent of keema in there on maybe 1/8 of the bread. Chicken tikka main was in a small tray full of water, think they was trying to marinate it well it was on way to me. Samosa was lovely tho but only had 2 small ones in a portion.

Curry was very watery and cold when I received it. It’s a shame as I’ve had many curries before hand from these without any problems, hopefully it was a one off, I will still give them the benefit of the doubt for next time.

I've had 2 meals from shahnaz and I've just ordered my 3rd. The first 2 have been great. The meals are of average size, it arrived on time and has been hot, and tastes nice.

Fantastic food, we have found our new fave. Onion bhajees were crispy and the peshwari naan was gorgeous dipped in a pasanda.
