Food was ok but not Pakistani style, tikka masala was dead and didn’t taste of anything. Wouldn’t order from here unless you’re white

The onions that come with poppadoms, when I opened it there was a massive fly in there!! Put me off the whole meal and haven’t eaten any of it

Popadoms broken, chips, sag aloo and samosa very greasy.Wasn’t edible. 3 pieces of tikka in one small portion. Not happy at all with quality of food :(

Not sure if it was a bad night in the kitchen but the meal went in the bin. Chips tasted weird and very oily, samosa meat smelt very strange and a horrid taste, pakora's were as crispy as a bowl of soup. Best thing about the food was the poppadom and that resembled a jigsaw puzzle - never again

Beautiful tandoori prawns starter followed by a creamy tasteful chicken tikka masala and pilau rice. Plenty of chicken. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Food was alright, the curry and rice were lovely but the naan bread was slightly undercooked and bready and the mixed platter wasn't really what I expected as it's just 4 small random items in a box, normally for a "platter" I'd expect a bit more for the money. Overall was okay and delivery time was spot on/delivery driver was nice!

Really wasn’t impressed this evenjng, it’s the first time I’ve complained. Mint yogurt was curdling. Chips was burnt. The curry was watery. I’ve got photos but unable to attach to this review. Really unhappy

We regularly used Spice Village before lockdown and always had a lovely meal. We have never used the delivery service as we felt that we lived slightly too far away. We found it on Just Eat tonight so thought we would give it a try as we have had such disappointing meals from other restaurants during lock down, The meal came on time and was superb, exactly as if we had been eating it in the restaurant. Can highly recommend it

This is the fifth time we have ordered from Spice Village and it has become our new favourite Indian takeaway. Although the food was slightly late (the first time this has happened), it was worth the wait as the food was fantastic. It’s always fresh, piping hot and the delivery guys are always really friendly! Couldn’t recommend it more.

Ordered a dish with king prawns and very disappointed that shells still on prawns. Impossible to eat without getting curry sauce all over fingers. Ridiculous. Why on earth weren’t the shells off the prawns. Don’t expect to pay the price for king prawn and then be unable to eat it cleanly and sensibly

Food arrived late but it was really good, full of flavour. They also text to notify us that they were running late which was much appreciated.

Really great food, some of the best takeaway Indian food. Was a slight mistake with the nann. Got a keema not plain that we ordered. But this didn’t effect the meal or the quality of the food.

Nice food but missed off naan bread

I only order on 4 or 5 for food hygiene so this place is already above most of the places on just eats. You can really tell it in the food quality. In which this place is Amazing. The garlic fried rice is actually thin bits of garlic fried! Perfection. All the way to delivery driver to. Got my new curry house!

Even though food was delivered late, which is understandable in this current climate, the food was hot and the chicken was amazing! Good quality, and cooked well. The masala sauce was just how I like it, creamy and flavoursome!

We have been visiting the Spice Village for 15 years and always enjoyed it. Our recent takeaway though was so disappointing. The Bhuna was tasteless with no texture and the Chicken in my Sagwalla was pre cooked. Sorry, but I hate that. Although the Nan bread was fresh it was very pale and doughy. I think it was undercooked. Sorry but it was not up to scratch and I felt it wasn’t worth £26. We chucked the leftovers and we never do that.

Food not up to scratch. 2 tiny 30p samosas for £2.75 slightly soggy. Main dish was bland. Garlic rice was nice, naan wasn’t anything to write home about. Plenty of better restaurants out there

I have no complaints about the food, it was great. However it was extremely late, and arrived about 40 minutes after being said it was on its way. The driver was very apologetic and offered a full refund which was very generous but I've yet to receive that or hear anything from them. Again, the food was great. No complaints. I believe there was just a mix up due to a very busy evening.

I had lamb curry and it was great the meat was tender and the chapatti lovely and hot. The delivery man was nice and polite.

The food was good. Delivery was extremely quick. One slight issue is that the salad provided is 80% onions, no lettuce and minimal amount of cucumber and tomatoes. It comes seperate from the meal and is free so it wasn't an issue. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

DO NOT order from this restaurant. We ordered from here. Someone pulled up, walked near to the house, but no food was delivered. When we called up to ask where the food was, we were told they wouldo chase it up with the delivery driver. He called direct and said he had given it to a middle aged man (not a description of either of us here). When we asked for compensation they refused to help despite delivering our food to a different house!! Stay away from this place if you don’t want to lose your money!!

Unusually for here the chicken tikka was absolutely full of liquid. This is my normal order so I know its not normally like that.

Just as good as eating in at the restaurant back in Jan, which was some of the best Indian food I've had in a while. Fresh vegetables, great flavour sauces. Would definitely order again.

When food arrived 20 minutes late then to add to it the food was completely wrong I recieved the wrong order. Tried to ring the restaurant 84 times and eventually they answered. Had correct food delivered in 30 minutes and was ok but hot.

Absolute joke. When reviewing take away the delivery time said 30-40 mins. Once ordered this increased to 1hr 15mins. Over two hours later still no food. Queried the delay via app with only a generic reply. Take away wasn’t answering the phone and eventually got through and he said ‘we aren’t the only order they have’ this isn’t good enough. If you have to wait over 2 hours for a curry, this should be communicated before the order is confirmedSuch poor service. Never ordering from here again.

Good food but disappointed with lateness of the delivery. I just wish restaurants were honest with their delivery times.

I ordered the food at 6:50pm and it didn’t arrive until 9:05pm! I understand the restaurant is busy but they need to manage delivery expectations on the Just Eat website as I wouldn’t have ordered from them otherwise!

The meat in 3nof the curroes was not fresh the curry stuck like they was off and my food was cold when it arrived when the delivery driver gave me my food the bag was ripped my popadoms was smashed and they never put the lid on the curry properly so that leaked everywhere how ever my nan bread was cooking to perfection and so was my lemon chilli rice but i will never order from here again as it was a let dowm for the money and i will not reccomend this indian to anyone

Ordered a take-away through 'Just Eat' on a Saturday, March 2020 early evening at about 6.30 pm. Delivery was at 11.30 pm and the food, understandably, was cold. In the meantime, when we had tried to trace our order at about 8.30 pm we had been told the food had been delivered. We had already paid and could not cancel. We felt frustrated and powerless. We cooked a scratch dinner instead having given up hope. The food on arrival was of poor quality and each chicken dish was indistinguishable from the next despite them supposedly being prepared with different spices by an experienced chef. It appears that as this was Saturday evening, any old tat could be served up to the public; there would be little come-back anyway, and in these unprecedented times, who needs return business anyway? If you wish to enjoy food derived from the subcontinent, find another restaurant.

Order at 10 to 7 they confirmed it for 5 past 8, I had to try and keep calling the restaurant as they wouldn't pick the phone up, then got just eat to message them to send me a text and they didn't and when I did get through to the restaurant it was 10 to 9 and they was only just cooking my food and said it would be 5 mins and it was 20 past 9 before I got my food. Food was okay I wouldn't fault it but I won't order again.

The food was delicious once it arrived but it was over two and a half hours late. The phone for the restaurant was constantly engaged so unable to get through for update. Said on just eat it had been delivered when it hadn’t. Would have just been good to be kept updated.

Terrible!!!! Ordered last night, 2 and half hours to come. Obviously when it did it was cold!!! Bland, chicken that had no taste, full of water... HORRIBLE... will never use again! Save ur money!

Really late and when I rang it was impossible to get through, to be honest i had given up and just as i was looking for alternatives the food arrived but was cold. I understand these are challenging times but if expectations are set there are no worries and if you can even get reassurance on the phone that would be better. Disappointing.
