Chicken Tikka masala and rice very watery as show in photo! hardly any meat in the keema Order from here a lot and always spend £25-35 won’t be ordering from here again , gone down hill !

Really good food here. I usually get the saag aloo which is very nice, and a great vegetarian dish. The vegetarian curries are also very good, with a huge variety of veg in them, sometimes including everything from sprouts to sweetcorn. The food usually takes about 25 minutes which is quick, and you get a discount when you pay in cash which is always nice. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good Indian.

Amazing food and helpful staff. You seem to be a great team. I had the chickpea & mushroom biryani and it was very nice, tasty. But the onion bhaji was AMAZING. So fresh and tasty. Ill definitely be visiting again 💫🙏🏼😊

Knowledgeable staff when questioned about gluten items on the menu. The sagaloo was the best we've had and the korma was amazing!

Always lovely food. Just never give enough mint sauce. I ordered 4 starters with only 2 mint sauces.

Yet again another amazing curry!! I rang as I wanted a naga which wasn't on the menu, the guy I spoke to said they could do it and wow.... Wasn't disappointed!! One of the best if not the best I've ever had and I've eaten curries all around the UK for 20 plus years regularly! I won't be going anywhere else, plus they deliver when other takeaways in area dont... 5 stars

Saturday night, 4 of us ordered a delivery which turned up about half hour later. Absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all. As good as any other in Monmouth.

Best Indian take away in Monmouth

It's our "go to" takeaway in Monmouth. It's all cooked fresh and you can watch the chefs doing it whilst taking in the aromas and listening to the cacophony of the pans on the hob. It's worth ordering then popping into "The Griffin" opposite for an aperitif. (Or two) 🙂

Very average would not recommend

King prawn korma was lovely but the lamb tikka masala was inedible. The lamb was rock hard. Wont be back

Don't go there if you have intolerances. I rang up and ordered a takeaway,explaining I am dairy and gluten intolerant. I ordered a set meal, and repeatedly checked that the items could be swapped that had wheat in. I stated that the nan bread HAD to have wheat in and the person on the phone said no it was made with brown flour! He then checked abd agreed it was wheat so offered an alternative. I then checked again that the onion bhajis must have wheat in and he said no. When I went to pick up another man spoke to me and of course said the onion bhaji did have wheat. So I asked for an alternative dish, THEY COULDN'T OFFER ME ONE. With a dish missing from the set meal, and no replacement available they tried to charge me 20p less! I complained and then £3.20 was taken off. On getting home I found the sauce they gave me for the poppadoms was the one that had milk in, AFTER EXPLAINING I WAS DAIRY INTOLERANT. I have had intolerances for years and this is the worst service I have ever had. Its health, its awareness, its a level of service that is unacceptable.

First time trying this place, will be back! Have become disappointed by our previous favourite, Spice Trail definitely takes 1st place for best curry in Monmouth. Love the regional difference on how the dishes are made. Vegetarian options we ordered were really generous portions and fantastic selection of vegetables, beyond what you’d usually expect. Team were very warm and friendly, extra discount for takeaway.

This is a takeout to die for if you like hot and spicy. We were a walk in and enjoyed the food at home. Keep it mind the spice ratings and you should be okay as they have mild to hot hot hot.

The first time we ordered they were 45 minutes late delivering the food we ordered. We thought it might have been a one off, and as the food was good, we gave them a second chance. This time they made us wait nearly 2 hours for delivery of our food, and wouldn’t answer the phone when we tried to find out what was going on. Absolutely shocking. Will never ever be buying from them again. Appalling customer service. Utterly appalling

We've had a few takeaways from Spice Trail when staying in the area. The delivery is quick, the food is absolutely faultless! If you like your food with a good amount of spice and a big punch of flavour, this is DEFINITELY the place to go! 10 out of 10! The Bombay Special is beyond amazing!

Really good Indian take away. I know my curries and these are nicely cooked through, spicy and very meaty in content. If you order right the large curries can last 2 nights. Very friendly, 10% discount for self collection.

What a wonderful dinner that was! We ordered takeaway at the Spice Trail and were mighty impressed. The food was amazing and the portions generous. Especially the chutney tray stood out as fantastically flavourful. Great vegetarian and vegan options. Super friendly bunch at the shop as well. We will most certainly order here again. I have Just finished eating half of my take away vegetable biryani from Spice Trail. Wow! absolutely delicious. It was well spiced, moist and plenty of it...(can't wait to consume the rest tomorrow). the staff were very friendly. So, if you're looking for tasty and good value take away Indian food, look no further.

Saturday night delivery. Absolutely gorgeous. Had a few in the town but this has gone straight to number one. They forgot the naan bread but came back out to deliver it with extra poppadum. Cannot fault this place. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, very polite and efficient staff. I think this is one of the best places for a takeaway in Monmouth. We have tried many of the vegetarian dishes from the menu and the vegetables are fresh, not overcooked and mushy. The food is really tasty and piping hot when you collect the order.

I've been cooking professionally for 25 years . I highly recommend this lovely family run establishment its only take aways ...but I can honestly say its FRESH and TASTY everytime ...... that's why I'm leaving this comment because its near failed ,,,,, its a great place and friendly staff 10/10 thanks for your service. By far the best Indian we have ever had. We saw the shop whilst walking around town and decided to order a delivery to our room at the premier inn later that day. Food was delivered on time, was hot, huge portions of very well cooked Indian food. Very flavourful, good quality and price. Meat was tender, staff were polite and helpful. Could not recommend enough!!! P.S Premier Inn was also fantastic.

Tried this little takeaway tucked in the corner of Monmouth and must say wow. One of the best Indian takeaways I've had in years. I've been to many Indian restaurants and takeaways over the years and I would put this in my top 5 of the best meals. Il be back again and again

After now sampling all of the Indian restaurants in Monmouth all of my family rate Spice Trail by far the best! Don't be put off by the appearance of Spice Trail, it may be small but everything about their food is BIG Everything is cooked fresh, and you can even see it being cooked in front of you. The portions are extremely generous with lots of meat! The flavours are really delicious, very well spiced and the sauces are not at all oily. The starters came with 8 condiments, the best I've ever tasted! The breads were soft and very tasty and to top it all the price was excellent, our meal for 3 which probably would have fed 5 or 6 came to £56! I would also mention that the staff are very friendly and chatty, I shan't bother going to any other Indian restaurant in the area in future. Just a shame it's only takeaway but the food is second to none!

By far the best Indian food in town. Actually the best takeout in town regardless of country origin full stop. We have eaten here about 5 times and each time its excellent. Trying a wide range of dishes and all equally good.

Best Indian! Fresh ingredients cooked with flair, very tasty and looks like a picture. This takeaway is a cut above the rest in town. Takeaway only - online or phone order -delivery service or pick up -open during pandemic -usually ready in 45 min. Easy stopping in front of spice trail for pick up.

A refreshing addition to the curry scene, or lack of it, in the area. Delicious, home cooked Indian with fresh ingredients. Chef's Special Handi is absolutely delicious with garlic rice. Charming and genuine owner and staff usually offering discounts too.Please keep going and good luck!
