This is a great Indian restaurant with bags of atmosphere and great service. I've been to this restaurant many times over the past 20 years and always had a good meal. It would be nice to see some imported bottled beers as well.

Must say one of the best meals I have had, full of taste from spices and herbs. Great meal and very friendly service.

Went there last friday with a bunch of mates, service was absolutely spot on, starter was a kebab cocktail which came out flaming out and was absolutely incredible, then for mains i had a nagaraja with keema rice and that certainly hit the spot, portion was big as well so had to take the rest home which they did no problems. Highly recommend and will defo be going again soon

We visited on a very quiet Sunday and the service was good. The menu had a wide selection and my partner and I ordered a main, rice and naan each. The dhansak and pathia were quite tasty, average sized portions, small rice and a good naan. Overall we enjoyed the meal. I should have paid more attention to the menu when asked if we wanted papadums and chutneys. £9.30 for 4 and onion/chutney!! (See top of bill). Nearly as much as a main and way more than I’ve paid at other restaurants.

The best take away that we have had for a long time. Delivered to Undy. All meals were really tasty with good quality meat, the naan bread was soft and fluffy, obviously freshly cooked and chips were also really good.

Food was Extremely Tasty. Staff are Extremly welcoming with a great sense of humor. Great selection of Beers, Ciders and Wines. Overall 10/10 would recommend and will be happy to return again in the future.

Best curry restaurant in Caldicot. Always superb service and excellent food. Been back for first time since the lockdowns. Food was as always superb and great service. Visited again November 2023 and once again the meal was banging. I continue to highly recommend this place.

We use here for our India n takeaway and can highly recommend it. The food is very tasty, while not swimming in oil and jam-packed with meat. Have not sat in to eat, so I am unable to comment on that. They offer a discount if collected but if delivered we ha e only had to wait an hour.

This was AMAZING!!!!! Best pomadoms I have ever had . Amazing paintings of tigers and lions (SUPER COOL) you even get chocolates at the end :) HUGE MENU and I recommend the chicken makhani it’s AMAZING

From the moment you walk through the door this place is just “wow”. The decor is amazing, the staff really attentive and the food delicious! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a first class Indian meal.

Ordered a take away for the first time in a little while & it reminded us how good this place is. Food was superb, from curry right through to Naan. We had Chatwala chicken, Tandoori Chicken Makhani, cauli bhaji, mushroom bhaji, sag aloo, garlic naan & garlic keema naan. I'd recommend everything mentioned to anyone looking for medium spice or less. We won't be leaving it so long next time!

Met up with friends at knight of Bengal last night. We all had an excellent meal and great service and welcome from the owners. Busy at 7pm tells it's own story. Recommend this restaurant as it ticks all the boxes and a great experience. Try it folks as you won't be disappointed.

Great service & tasty food. Took me back to my Uni days, poppadoms and mango chutney (still not sure about lime pickle), delicious curry, and pilau rice! Nothing fancy, just good food.

I have always used you as you have a good rating and service is excellent. However my last two purchases have been dissapointing. Lots of food but too hot . My dhansak was wow hot. I have eaten it for years. Never had it this hot.

Travelled a round trip of 60 miles to go here last weekend, that alone should tell you all you need to know about the experience. Have been to this restaurant numerous times and it's without a doubt my favourite. The quality of the food is amazing and the taste to die for, the service is second to none and the staff can't do enough for you. Would recommend this restaurant to any curry lovers, it's a must try.

Last Saturday my family of five went to the Knight of Bengal and three different main meals were ordered. The Alum family has endured great challenges due to Covid but have certainly not dropped the first class standards in the quality and taste of the meals. Every member of my family enjoyed their choice of meal. So encouraging to see the restaurant full. Cannot speak highly enough of this wonderful restaurant. Thank you Alum and Koffe. Mr.Jones

Quirky small restaurant...... however the food was good, not overpriced (unlike the others in Caldicott), and will certainly eat here again.

Stunning sit down meal with wonderful service!

Food was OK, could have been better. Mushroom rice was unacceptably bad taste. Had to throw away. Other dishes were acceptable but can not recommend to others.

I have never been disappointed with this place, great tasting food every time.

Food was great quality, friendly service and very accomadating of vegan dietary requirements. Staff paid good attention to COVID safety measures which was highly appreciated. Highly reccomended, best Indian takeaway in the local area.

Received delivery tonight which was on time however that was the high point! Lamb was tough as old boots, pickle tray non existent, popadoms as thin as tracing paper and generally tasted no better than a cheap supermarket curry. Wouldn’t recommend and will not be ordering again.

Staff are super friendly, food is always great, they will tweak recipes too your liking. Decor is slightly dated but if that's an issue you're being really picky so just order a takeaway from them.

Good authentic food, we ordered 6 different starters and 6 different main meals - everyone enjoyed the food. Service great and really friendly atmosphere.

The best Indian restaurant for miles

15 in our party on Rugby day and all our order came out piping hot, all served together. Wonderful service as always. Keep it up we will be back very soon.

This meal was awful. My starter (Lamb tikka) was lovely but my Chicken Korrai main was inedible.The chicken was at best strands, well overcooked, and the sauce was "stale", so, as a consequence, it went in the bin. It's almost as if it was a "recycled" meal. Also, my wifes meal (a non veg thali) was dreadfull; all of the meat was so dry and tough it was also inedible. Needless to say we won't be back again anytime soon. £ 29.00 wasted. Hey ho, you live and learn...

Went to restaurant last night. Hadn't booked and it was 22.45...couldn't have been nicer...said it was not a problem. Service was friendly and efficient...food was really good...average price...would highly recommend this place..will be returning

This family run restaurant, tucked away in Caldicot, is fantastic. Traditional old style decor , which adds to the ambiance. With a menu serving tradition curries, but also great new dishes. My husband had the Tarka chicken .....he said it was the best curry he has ever had . (And we are very well travelled ). The service is the best . The special garlic nan bread, was off the scale ! My husband is still talking about it! Also great red wine and a nice Chardonnay. There are many Indian restaurants in the surrounding area, but this is one of the best around. Thank you so much , to the Brothers of the Knights of Bengal, for making our evening truly memorable, We will be back very soon.

Disgusting food. Chips tasted like fish I can’t believe I paid £30 for such garbage. If I could get a refund I would in an instant. I am so disappointed as I had been looking forward to an Indian meal all evening. Madras sauce was just a hot tasting vile tomato sauce. Meat chewy and tough. Nan bread burnt and rice greasy and oily. Do yourself a favour. Buy a ready meal. It will be so much cheaper and a better eating experience. I won’t be buying food from here again. Don’t waste your money.

Whenever I order a curry it is always from these guys never had a problem with my food neither has my family whenever we have ordered the portion sizes are fair and the staff are very friendly only down fall is the delivery time can be quite high also the price of the food but then again you pay for what you get!

Have been here numerous times and even though it is located a good 20 miles from home it's still worth a visit every time.The waiters are very punctual and I particularly like how they can suggest other meal options from things you have previously had.Would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food and especially those lovers of indian food.

We walked in to order a takeaway was told it was going to be about 20mins so went to another shop but the order was ready when we got back so was quicker than expected and the staff were very friendly and the curry was lovely as ever, just one criticism is that the chicken was in large pieces ( but lots of it) and there wasn't enough sauce but I suppose this was better value for money, would ask for more sauce next time. we had the kuala puri which is definitely worth having.

We ordered takeaway from here, was told on the phone it would be an hour for delivery. 1 hour 40 minutes later we was still waiting. I appreciate it may be busy but to be kept waiting that long is far from a accurate measure of time. The food was good not great, but we will be sticking to our regular Indian from now on after this experience.

This is the one Indian restaurant in Caldicot and has been there for many years.Unfortunately,it looks like the decor has never been changed in that time.Its fine for a take away but to dine there is no longer a pleasure.

A wonderful restaurant for a small town!

First visit today for takeaway and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Great place for a Friday night curry treat!

We went as a large group unannounced and they managed to accommodate us all. The service and attendance to our requirements was excellent, the food was as good as the last time and they adapted my meal to how I like it.

Booked a table of 8 at 7.30 on a Sat evening they came with menus and took a drink order straight away we then waited 40 minutes and had to ask them to take our food order no starters just poppadoms and mains poppadoms came out but at 9pm there was no sign of the mains again we went and asked there response was you should have told us are food turned up at about 9.15 and was very good quality but to be honest by 9.15 I would have eaten a scabby dog!! They seem to prioritise the takeaways not the diners

We turned up drunk just before 11pm on New Year's Day so they had every right to not serve us, but they were incredibly accomodating, very polite and food was on the table really quickly. The chicken in my curry was a little rubbery but the flavour was really gorgeous, and the garlic naan deliciously garlicky. Thank you!

Best take away food around the area. Fabulous value for money and excellent customer service always. Our number one choice of Restaurants. Will be visiting again very soon with friends and family members to a welcome from all the staff.Keep up your excellent service.

Went in this morning and asked for a bacon sandwich, I couldn't beleave my eya when I seen her put the bacon in the microwave after I paid I went to my car to see what it was like, Its was still cold and mostly fat....Will never return.

Booked a table for a meal with friends and some of us had a beer or two. We each paid for what we ordered or so we thought. Unfortunately we trusted them to do the maths but looking at my statement gave me a real shock. They have double charged us. Talking to our friends we realised they did that to all of us, shameful! The food wasn't even good, very salty. Will never eat there again and definetely do not recommend it.Very dissapointed.

This is literally the best place you can eat food, ever! Service is great, but its all about the curry. Every curry I've had is crafted by a curry genius who must be the most talented chef on the planet. Everything is such a pleasure to consume

If I could I would give them 10 stars! Amazing food, the staff were amazing, so friendly and were more than happy to personalise if we wanted more garlic or spice and knew exactly what to recommend. I had the chicken tikka Balti and it was delicious, I couldn’t recommend this enough!
