The service and food are both excellent , the staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome thank you so much for our lovely dining experience I shall return!

Turned up unexpected with a party of 7 and they found room for us. The food was literally amazing. All 7 of us said it was some of the best Indian food we've had. And we were sober! 😏

One of my favourite Indian restaurants, very much due to Shez, who always takes the time to talk to you genuinely about the menu and Indian food in general. Excellent service and amazing food. The chick pea tamarind dip is worth it alone. But, don’t sit by the kitchen door if you can help it- they’re just that busy!

We have just had dinner here! What can I say? The best Indian food I’ve ever had the privilege of eating! Went with friends (Len and Mac) they’ve been banging on about this place so insisted we eat here during our stay. Would highly recommend this restaurant. I have used Ahadnan and his team for many years now, and I cannot praise them enough. Not only does Ahadnan attend our offices the day before an event to set up all of the catering baths, he then cooks all curries fresh on the morning of the event and then travels from Magor to Cardiff with a huge selection of starters and curries. He catered for a party of 18, however his portions are such that the majority of guests came back up for 2nds. Ahadnan and all at Mango House are superstars!!

Ordered a meal online, took over 1.5hrs to arrive. The meal was cold and the blandest think I ever had, maybe because of the temp. This was the second time this has happened so more fool me probably, but it is the last.

Ok curry but there are better and it was quite expensive. Service was attentive but we had decided not to have starters or poppadums - they literally put the poppadums on the table without us asking. I guess we should have said no we don’t want them but we didn’t. Disappointing to see they’d charged us £7.30 for them!!

I didn’t feel like eating in with how hot it was so thought I would get a takeaway. The food was freshly cooked and absolutely superb. Thank you

Visited this place last night as a group of 7 lads playing golf at Celtic Manor. From the moment we sat down the hosts were fantastic and very friendly . Brought popadoms out ( never seen so many ) and we did our best to eat the lot On to starters , not one complaint , if fact the exact opposite . Chilly garlic prawns the chick chat and the chick pakora were amazing . By now stuffed but main course too come which again completely wowed all 7 of us 👍🏻 Incredible tasty food , fab staff and most definitely a place not to be missed if your up that way at Celtic Manor . Shame our golfing performance didn’t match up to last nights chefs performance 😂😂 Defo going back one day 👍🏻

A great curry house in the middle of a beautiful little village. We didn't go mad, just poppadoms and all the chutneys, then curry and naan. Huge portions, very flavoursome, lots of chicken in the dish, freshly cooked to order. Great staff, friendly and helpful.

We were staying in the area for a convention and this lovely restaurant was a 4 minute drive from our hotel. We were greeted warmly like old friends even though we've never been here before. The food was delicious and the portion sizes generous, I warn you the small naan breads are huge! The atmosphere is delightful, the staff friendly and respectful, the price reasonable and the restaurant spotless. If you're in the area don't miss this treat!

If you want a restaurant with friendly and attentive staff, and even better food, go to the Mango House. Food absolutely delicious, always piping hot and cooked to perfection! My favourite dish is the mild chicken coconut and almond, with coconut rice. A lovely restaurant just half a mile from where myself and my hubby live.

I recently relocated to Magor, but having lived in Bristol and Wiltshire for 29 years, I have never encountered an Indian restaurant as exceptional as this one. The food is absolutely amazing, and the service is top-notch. Honestly, rating it 5/5 doesn't do justice to this place. It deserves a rating of 100/5. Booked a table for 5 on a Monday night for my friend's birthday. We walked into a busy, vibrant atmosphere. We were promptly taken to our table with popodams and chutneys awaiting. After we settled down in our seats, the kind waiter took our drinks order, which arrived shortly after whilst were tucking into our popodams. Our food order was taken and everything arrived on perfect time. Popodams, starters, and main came in perfect intervals, like clockwork. Outstanding service and the food was, I have to say one of the best curries I've ever had, hence the review as I don't really do reviews. But don't take my word for it, go and try it yourself.

Eaten here a few times. Always busy but decent service. Food is excellent with great choice but very pricey and after our last visit over the weekend I actually wonder if they're making up the prices as they go along! We'll no doubt eat there again but be more careful checking the bill and keeping the price down by drinking tap water rather than the over priced alcoholic drinks.

I have visited this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed - Jang and his team put customer service & satisfaction at the top of their priority. We have always had incredible food often from the recommendation of Jang who has even customised curries for me and my taste which have been fantastic. It is a lovely friendly restaurant and they cannot do enough for you - I would definitely recommend you try them out - great menu loads of variety super fresh & tasty - can’t wait to come back soon!

Had a lovely meal at the Mango House. Staff were fantastic and could not do enough for you and were very accommodating at fitting us in without a booking after being let down by a local pub. Mains were tasty and nan breads were excellent, restaurant was spotlessly clean. Nice, cosy place to relax and hope to return again soon.

Visited the mango house in magor for the first time tonight. The food was absolutely amazing! Every single thing we ordered was delicious ! The best keema naan ever!. We had our 11 year old fussy eater with us who was very happy with his chicken nuggets and chips! Food aside the service was outstanding! Made to feel so welcome as soon as we arrived! Staff here are so lovely. Thank you we couldn’t have asked for anymore!

Found this place searching around on Google maps. What a find, really friendly welcome as soon as we walked in the door and food was stunning! Make sure you have a naan bread! Best I've had. Shout out to Shez and the rest of the team who served us!

Food was gorgeous (recommend the prawn puri starter! Amazing) . The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere, only slight problem on the night was our table as close to the main door so kept going cold air on us every time it opened but didn't spoil the evening.

Stumbled across this place, what a find! Great menu. The largest naan breads I've ever seen, made for sharing of course. All the dishes we had were very tasty. Highly recommend.

It’s one of the best restaurant I found and Manger and Samsra is very good staff with great food vegetarian options.

Since moving to the area in 2013 the food that I have had both in the restaurant itself and as a take-away meal have been excellent. The staff are all good and friendly and do their best to make you feel comfortable. I heartily recommend.

We came here to celebrate a new job. The food was fantastic, service was great and we really enjoyed it. We were very optimistic with our ordering - they have big portions and we definitely had eyes bigger than our stomachs. We were guided to small naans rather than medium ones (we are grateful for this) and they were more than enough! We had pokora and paneer to start (you can see where we got a little bit overzealous on our ordering! It was worth it though) which we shared between us. Generous portions and really good flavours. We had the Mango House Biryani and a Butter Supreme for mains which were both delicious. Butter chicken is one of my favourites and this one was spot on. We'll happily visit again to sit in or have a takeaway. Thank you!

We stopped here due to heavy traffic from Bristol to Swansea on the M4. What a find 5 minutes travel,lovely little village excellent welcome and service by staff. The food is brilliant with relaxed atmosphere and we will go back!!

Stunning food as always. Lamb Phall spicy and rich, Chicken Korrai tasty and generous and the Lamb Dopiaza equally as good. Just what we wanted. Rotis are very good too. As is the mushroom rice. Served and delivered on time, with a smile. No wonder...

Went here with a group of friends, and had an excellent experience at this curry house. We ordered four different dishes, and tried each others all of which were delicious. The beer was Cobra and nice and cold too, the service was excellent and attentive...

Ordered a takeaway for delivery at 6pm, staff member on the phone said it would around 20 minutes. After an hour of waiting I recalled and was told that there was a new driver and that my food had not yet left the restaurant although...

Had an amazing meal at the Mango House this week as always! The food was lovely, with really wide menu options (plenty of vegetarian and gluten free choices too) and staff were so friendly and helpful! Great to be back at my favourite curry house

Unfortunately covid-19 has meant there is no transparency over charging for menu items. Using the Mago House online take out menu to place our meal order, which consisted of 2 mains and 2 sides, has cost us £33.70 instead of 26.50. A difference of £6....

Our whole experience from start to finish was 5 star. We was greeted in such a a friendly manor, our waiter was fantastic with our children which made our evening so much more relaxed. Our food was extremely tasty and customised for our specific needs. Our drinks was never empty as the waiter seemed to have our every need on hand. Covid safety was the best I had seen too. Thank you for a fantastic evening and we shall definitely be dining away.

I used to regularly eat there with family or friends, or order take aways with family, or friends. However, we've all stopped using the Mango House altogether due to regular let downs over a period of time.Examples of let downs include:1. Often significantly poorer quality takeaway compared to the same meal sitting in the restaurant.2. Discovering missing items from the takeaway order after collecting and getting home. This has happened multiple times. When I phone up to discuss the matter there was always disinterested in making good the problem - always their suggestion was: "come back and it will be waiting for you to collect!"3. Prices have gone up significantly and a "car salesman" type of experience has crept in over time, instead of a no pressure, relaxed experience from the past.4. Being hurried to finish our meal so that they can get more bums on seats afterwards.A complacency has crept in but the owners need to realise that if their standards, customer service, quality, or ethos changes then customers will go elsewhere. It will hurt business even more in these Covid-19 times where it's even more important to have delighted customers...A real shame.

Made a last minute booking and was so glad we found this place! The staff were excellent and attentive, food was excellent and we had a really good evening. The only little thing that stopped it being marked 5 was that we did feel we were being hurried to finish. There was still food on the table which we were “picking” at. But all the plates were removed and we felt rushed to get out.

Booked a table at mango house at the last minute, waiter was extremely accommodating seating us upstairs. When he noticed we were finding it slightly hot upstairs he kindly found us a table downstairs by the window. Food was delicious and nice to have some different options on the menu. Thank you to the waiter who was funny and so kind. Will definitely be back!

Can’t comment on quality of food although heard it’s excellent. Don’t know for sure as never actually received my order (home delivery), despite being told it was nearly there 1 1/2 hours after ordering (half an hour after the advised time upon ordering via Just Eat). Another 15 mins later, still no food, cancelled order, and got charged 50% for the pleasure. Spoke to restaurant directly and got made to feel like I was in the wrong ‘as I’ve wasted the food’. They told me they’d receive nothing from Just Eat, whilst Just Eat told me they’d paid the restaurant the other 50%. Somebody’s lying. Anyway, my advice if ordering from here (via Just Eat certainly) add at least 45 mins to the advised time

Just placed an order with the mango House in Magor for the second time this month . I have a severe fish allergy and they couldn't help enough to ensure all food would be cooked separately. Very attentive and polite to deal with. Highly recommended

Would have given 4.5 because no delivery to Caldicot. However Lovely Indian, best I have for a long time. Now just sort out you delivery to Caldicot and I am very happy and would give a 5

Just collected (and finished) a takeaway. As always it was bloody lovely. I had lamb Korrai, my wife had Chicken Saag and we had a Garlic naan. Great food and service.

Delicious meal delivered to the door for a family get-together. Greatly enjoyed by everyone. So lucky to have this excellent restaurant so close to home. Again, many thanks to the team.

My work colleagues organised a meal here for me for my 40th. It was a large party. We had a fab table,all comfortably seated. The service was great. The staff all friendly. The food all came together and exactly what we all ordered. It was delicious! Thanks for making a special occasional that little bit more special. The staff spoilt me. Thanks all. We enjoy an Indian Meal on average monthly and regularly go to the Mango House this is because the standard of this place is second to none..the food - the staff - the ambience all amazing. Tonight we tried something different ..Tandoori lamb chops succulent and well spiced..Chicken Saag just perfect and complimented with Tarka Dahl this was something recommended and was lovelyWe also had garlic rice and garlic Naan could not fault all excellent portions in fact could not eat it all so did we want to take it home...yes please Jan and his staff are brilliant including the legend that is AndrewThis is and always be our go to Indian restaurant ..excellent food..amazing staff...and fantastic value

My boyfriend and I went for an evening meal here, the food is always good, however we found a hair in the mango chutney with our popadoms. Then we wanted to pay using our 2for1 meerkat meals, however the waiter did not remove the correct amount from our bill. He did not even ask us for the voucher number or QR code. I asked him about it, and he said it was due to one main being cheaper then the other, then we paid and I looked back at the receipt to see both mains were intact the same higher price. When I said this, he said nothing. Very disappointed. Unlikely to return.

После долгих поисков пабов, где можно перекусить после долгой поездки и в связи с поздним временем, в пабах уже была закрыта кухня. Тогда мы случайно забрели в один индийский ресторан... Так как я не жалую индийскую кухню и к тому же ещё и предпочитаю вегетарианскую пищу, я сначала с сомнением отнеслась к тому, чтобы отужинать в этом ресторане. Но каково было мое удивление, что здесь нашлось немало очень вкусных вегетарианских блюд на самый изысканный вкус. Одни овощи в медовом соусе и вкуснейшие самосы с начинкой из овощей чего стоят...А какой нежный и горячий нан был подан к этим блюдам...Было просто объедение!!! Я впервые в своей жизни попробовала индийскую кухню и не разочаровалась! Все было превосходно и сервис был на высшем уровне! Нас и встретили и проводили, как дорогих гостей! Как снова будем в этих местах, обязательно заглянем в этот дружелюбный ресторан! Удачи в бизнесе и побольше посетителей вам, ребята! Спасибо!!!

Had a sit down meal for two on Saturday, turned up without a booking off the cuff, restaurant was busy we sat at the bar and had a cocktail, table was ready within 20 minutes.

Ordered a take away for the family. After being told it would be 40 minutes, I Waited nearly 1hour and 30 mins! When it finally came it was cold, popadoms were chewy- almost like they had reheated yesterdays and sides were missing although paid for. Very disappointing. If they weren’t so greedy they might be able to get it right but they just keep taking orders and then can’t cope with getting it out on time or even getting the orders right. I won’t be going there again!

Dined here three times in total; food has always been tasty. However, each time we've dined here we have been billed incorrectly. On this occasion the waiter attempted to overcharge us - Once our table was cleared the waiter handed us the bill and asked immediately whether we wanted to pay (every restaurant I've been to will give you time to read the bill before progressing to paying it).Upon checking it the bill was incorrect many of the meals were noted as 'house specials' and the lemonade ordered was marked as a pint of draught. We brought this to the attention of the waiter. The waiter lied to us by saying he noted the meals as a 'special' to make it 'cheaper' this actually in fact cost us more than the actual meal. We then highlighted to the waiter he is incorrect and has overcharged us; the waiter then said we selected from the 'takeaway menu' (we did not, we selected from the restaurant menu because we dined in). He even pulled out a takeaway menu in attempt to show us. He then accepted our response and then immediately pointed to the more expensive rice dishes thay we did not order from. Once we corrected the waiter again he apologised and amended the bill (including the incorrect lemonade). We then explained to the waiter we are using the Meerkat deal and he went again to amend the bill.His senior approached us and apologised and then had the audacity to say that the waiter was trying to do us us a 'favour' despite over charging us, what restaurant tries to do you a favour in this manner? Really? These were outright lies and attempts to make excuses.This the third time we've been to the Mango house and this will our last. Each time we have been billed incorrectly and its beyond coincidence this number of errors when it comes to billing. Each time they have attempted to overcharge us. The level of dishonesty from the waiter is shameful for overcharging us and possibly many other customers with this poor practice. It's a shame because the food was nice and the environment compliments it. This is the last and final time and I hope anyone who does choose to dine here to check their bill thoroughly before paying their meals.

Went with a group of friends after a recommendation. Took ages for food to arrive and when it did order was incorrect. Food ok but not quite as good as the blue cumin.

Came to this restaurant on the 4th Jan with my family. The service was spot on, greeted at the door and although we had to wait we were at the table within 5 mins. The food is some of the best I have tasted in a long long time, all cooked fresh with lovely herbs and spices. I went for the Naga chilli dish and was not disappointed, although it was hot , the taste was delicious. Plenty of it as well. I highly recommend eating here.

Take away tonight was amazing, the mango do my favourite curry achari chicken and tonight was the best one yet. I tried the aloo chat for first time and loved it! My two girls said the chicken nuggets were best ever had, all full and very impressed. Service was faultless.

We ate here on Friday night. We had a brilliant evening! The food was delicious and the service excellent. Andrew looked after us, he was an excellent waiter. He recommended the Handi curry and it was delicious, as was the rest of the meal. We had cocktails after the meal, which were also great, especially the B52 shak attack! We would definitely recommend eating here.

All staff very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was amazing. (Definitely suggest the large nann bread its huge) Lovely building very cosy. Give this 5*. We will be back.

It was my son's girlfriend's birthday and we booked a table for 10. As always the table was prepared, the service was friendly and the food was excellent. Between us we had a variety of curries and rice dishes, all served at the same time so no one was kept waiting and the food was delicious. I had my normal fish curry and everyone said how good the whole evening was thanks to the staff there who are always friendly and polite.

Your welcome is guaranteed, by all of the staff. When they take your order, their knowledge of the extensive menu is superb, any variation you want is never too much trouble. The atmosphere will impress you. The food is excellent, together with a selection of draft lagers and cider. We keep returning.
