Great food - my husband and I regularly eat here - sometimes lunch or evening meal. You won't be disappointed. The quality of food is outstanding and always have good customer service which is refreshing. My recommendation for a light lunch would be the Coronation Chicken Jacket Potato ❤️ Evening Meal would be the Lamb or Prawn Starter followed by Lamb Biriani (maybe Miss spelt but you know what I mean) ❤️

Went for an impromptu dinner with my husband and son. The food was excellent, Regency 59, the restaurant of the Kings Head, is well worth a visit. There is a wonderful choice and always the offer to tweak things your way if you ask. The service we had from Anna was second to none. Have been several times since they opened and each time has been perfect, food cannot be faulted. Go and check it out for yourself !

We happened across Regency 59 by chance on the lookout for breakfast. We were met by a friendly young lady who really deserves some credit. Came here by chance, on my own. The restaurant was full and I expected to be turned away, but they found me a table. Contemporary décor with nice tableware (very smart), spotlessly clean (5 stars for food hygiene) and delicious Indian food - the chicken was exceptionally tender and the sauces full of flavour. The steamed basmati rice was perfect and the naan bread was light yet substantial, not at all stodgy and tough. And the staff were really nice. We found it purely by chance but so glad we did. Would definitely recommend if you like Indian food.

My wife and I went here for an anniversary meal with our 18 month old daughter and some friends. It was very quiet, with us being the only diners for the first hour or so. We took our own champagne to celebrate as it was a gift and they were happy to serve it us with a small corkage fee of £5. The food was delicious, and service excellent. The waitress even helping to entertain our daughter when she became bored. All in all a very pleasant experience. Would give 5 stars but found it a little pricey compared to some other restaurants.

We stumbled upon this restaurant in the evening of Easter day, pleased to find a restaurant open. The first thing we notice was the plates in front of customers were wiped clean with not a crumb of food left on them! Good sign, we thought. The lovely aroma of spices was hanging in the air. Another good sign. The staff were efficient, kind and professional. The food was amazing! Not like any other Indian restaurant we have been in the past. The spices blended in the sauce achieved a subtle and refined mouth watering flavour. We just wish we lived closer so we could enjoy a meal there every week!

Recently visited Regency 59 for an impulsive evening meal (could not be bothered to cook dinner). I have to commend this restaurant in every way i can. When we arrived the place was very busy and we had not made a prior booking. The staff were very accomodating and we were given a table without hesitation. Even though I expected to have to wait due to the amount of people dining, our meal arrived in no time and I have to say delicious. I cannot remember the dish I ordered as I went on recommendation of the head waitress. I am very paritcular about customer service as I have a British Airways backround and have a keen eye for attention to detail. I cannot fault the service, the Polish lady that served us was amazing (very hard to find service like this these days). This lady obviously loves her job as it shows in her welcoming and friendly attitude thoughout our visit. Good service is always overlooked and can make a difference to your experience of a place. I would recommend this as possibly my favourite place to eat in Abergavenny at this time. We will be visiting again soon to try their other dishes.

We had a fish and chip lunch here on a Tuesday (Market day). It was very busy and we were lucky to get a table fairly quickly. The food took about 15-20 minutes to arrive, this may be too long for some people but to us it tends to assure us that it has been freshly made. The Fish and Chips were good and portion size was generous. Our bill including a drink each (a coke and a beer) was £22.80

Meals were hearty and flavourful, couldn't go wrong really. Burger was very good as was the steak. We stayed in the hotel and used the bar as well. All in good order :)

My girl and I were deciding on places to go for a baguette we looked at a few places and we made the right choice. The baguettes were a foot long and full with filling., came with chips and coleslaw. Pot of tea 1.50. For 4 cups the best value. To ladies working here were friendly and professional. Recommended you drop in if in the area

This is our go to place to meet our friends. The food is always excellent, the service attentive and the atmosphere fabulous. They are also really mindful if you have food intolerances. See you again
