Lamb balti (madras hot) and lamb tikka garlic chilli to die for. Aromatic, flavoursome and so tasty. Huge portions and a great price. Highly recommended and great value for money. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to BYO!

The food was delicious. We all enjoyed our meal... BUT we were grossly overcharged. During the meal, we found a bone in the chicken. These things can happen and the manager explained he would take the cost of the dish off the bill. However when I asked for the bill I watched the manager looked at some scribbled notes and use a calculator to add up the total. The manager was unable to show me a breakdown and the total was significantly higher than I was expecting. Stupidly, I didn't challenge him and assumed it was ok. I asked for a proper receipt and the manager claimed he could not give me one. Very dubious, which kinda sums up this place. However as I left I realised I had grossly overpaid. Not only didnt he deduct the cost for the dish with the bones in it, but the bill was far higher than even if he didnt deduct anything. This is a shame as despite good food, not only wont we be going back but I will actively warn people to avoid these cowboys.

Came midweek and went for the offer of starter, main and side for £15. Food was quickly served from a very pleasant team and very good quality. Is handy for the Arena as opens at 5pm and left us plenty of time ahead of gig. Friendly place,very good all round experience

First time in Bournemouth yesterday so so not knowing what to expect of the area we went on the hunt for an evening meal. After dodging all the trendy restaurants asking for £15 for a starter we came across the little gem that is Lahore restaurant. We had a great welcome at the door and the restaurant was full, easy to understand why. We were given a window seat, my favourite spot. This is a classic restaurant without the faff and frills. The seating was functional and comfortable, the staff hospitable and friendly and the food hit the spot. We chose the meal for 2 which included popadoms, chutneys, onion bhajis, chicken tikka starter, lamb bhuna, chicken tikka Massala, vegetable curry, naan bread and pilau rice. We topped it off with 4 cans of Coca-Cola. It was a pleasant surprise it came to just under £38. BARGAIN. Make sure you’re hungry when you arrive as we struggled to finish the fantastic feast and felt bad for leaving what we did. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Proper old skool curry house, try the lamb chops for starters , then we had ginger chicken and lamb combined and the portions are big and excellent value for money The staff are nice and friendly and you could tell this place has repeat customers

Was looking for a halal restaurant. First glance didnt look enticing with only one diner in then again it was Monday so went in . We were greeted by a friendly manager which was a nice warm welcoming feel . Unsure what to order he suggested the chef special chicken karahi also ordered a lamb pindi dish aswell and said to make it desi style in they did brought it out sizzling hot . We can honestly say it was amazing. Definitely 10/10 . The naans and mango lassi was superb . A must visit if you fancy a spicy dish to tingle your taste buds

First impressions are that it’s budget by nature, but this turned out to be a magnificent evening! We had booked a table for 10 (which was handy as this is clearly a very popular place with customers being constantly turned away due to it being full!) The service was attentive, friendly and grateful.. like in the old days. Perfect for a family event. The food was delicious (all of it) and the prices very reasonable. Also adding to the fun, they don’t have an alcohol license so you take your own booze which saves a fortune. Honestly we all had a great time. One word of caution. They don’t take credit or debit cards so I had to run over the road to take money out of a machine to pay the bill which was just £185 for 10 of us (inc a service charge) and we were all absolutely stuffed!

Normally I find some Indian restaurants without some dishes not tasting good. But this restaurant is opposite, all are delicious. Is just amaizing to see that. The only problem I found was that the Kulfi I was expecting to be served directly to the cup and not ready made bought from supermarket. Bur it was good taste. We were a gound of 3 families, a total of 14 peoples. Staff are polite and very attencious.

Ordered takeaway from their website...disappointed from the get-go really. No options for card payment but the delivery driver carried no change. The food was average, but so dry. Oil over the chicken tikka masala but no curry sauce, and dry wilted spinach and paneer for saag paneer but again no sauce. Nothing to dip naan in. Rice lacked flavour. It fed us, tasted ok, but nothing exciting.

Big portions, delicious & hot food. If you like it hot you can’t get better than a vindaloo sauce to slather on your shashlik, mopped up with a garlic Nan bread. There are a few good curry places in Bournemouth, one almost opposite but try here first, just as delicious but much better value, I come here every month now when I stay in Bournemouth 5*

A decent Indian restaurant of typical High Street standard. Four of us enjoyed the meal, although it was a tight squeeze in the restaurant on a sunny Bank Holiday weekend. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Special mention of the tender lamb and the Tarka Daal with a deliciously earthy flavour. My Chicken Tikka Karahi was a little too hot for my liking but it's all down to individual preference. Their bring-your-own-booze policy helped to keep the bill down to a very reasonable £21 per head (May 2023) for a full blow-out. We made the mistake of buying Cobra beer from a nearby Nisa convenience store, a rip-off at nearly £2 for a measly 330ml bottle, double the price of a supermarket. Won't do that again!

We have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times in the past (you can bring your own drinks) and had take aways before which was always really good, but have not used it for a couple of years now. We are really pleased to say last nights take away delivery was even better than before, the tandoori chicken was tender and gorgeous, the whole lot was perfectly cooked, very impressed! The guy who took the order and the delivery driver were very polite, the food was absolutely great, we enjoyed it so much. Thank you!

Food was outstanding. Service was quick but not pressure, host was delightful. We had our 'usual' as in the same we have in every Indian restaurant and it was better than our normal haunt at home. The lamb biryani was tasty, the meat fell apart and the veg curry was well seasoned. Hubby had the chicken tikka masala, not overly sweet as it can be in some places but absolutely delicious. Well priced, well cooked and well served. Absolutely would return if we are ever in Bournemouth again

If you want Alcohol take your own and you need to pay in cash, From the outside you may be hesitant, but once inside it's the most friendy atmosphere you could wish for. No gushing but a genuine welcome from the staff, service with a smile as they say. My wife had Vegetable Biriani with Palak Paneer and was pleasantly surprised at how much was on each dish, her verdict after being fantastic! I had Chicken Pathia with Pilau Rice,and my verdict after was, when shall we come again ! We took our own bottle of wine and were given 2 glasses to use from the ever smiling boss.It was a busy evening but we didn't have to wait long. After reading all the great reviews from Tripadvisor we visit there last night. Inside decor looks like Indian restaurant in 70s and not clean at all. I am originally from Lahore, Pakistan and I can tell this is not a Pakistani restaurant. I ordered mixed grilled which is comes with tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb tikka and Sheek kebab but when they serve my food there is no Sheek kebab. At the end I wanted to pay and they said cash only. I couldn’t believe in this day and age they don’t take card which is obviously for tax fraud. I had to go outside and pay £1.50 to cashpoint, that was really annoying. Will not going back again

After almost giving up hope of finding good food in Bournemouth I tried this place out. There are a number of places to choose from on the street and it was a toss up between this place and another. Despite the uninviting exterior i went for this one. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Finally somewhere in Bournemouth that gets it right! Food was excellent and the restaurant filled up pretty quickly. No complaints regarding food, atmosphere and service. My only suggestion is to put a sign outside that says cash only. There is only one very small sign, about half an A4 piece of paper advising of this behind the till which funnily enough I didnt notice. Could make things awkward for people, especially these days where most places in Bournemouth seemed to request card, even for small payments. Upon going to pay the bill i then had to go out to a cash machine which felt a bit awkward but the staff seemed used to it. Nevertheless, it is still an excellent place to eat.

I came here for lunch and was impressed with the food and service. I started with a king prawn butterfly followed by Lamb Dhansak, and could see why this place has survived, Many Indian restaurants have failed in Bournemouth, due to the strong competition (and that was before the pandemic).This restaurant is not licensed but there's an impressive list of soft drinks.

I went to spice of Lahore based on all the good reviews, but unfortunately I was not satisfied with the food. We had a sizzler which was quite nice could have done with a bit of spice as it had no spice what so ever but this is more my preference I’m sure it would be perfect for someone who prefers mild foodI absolutely love a lamb curry and so that was my pick, I had one recommended by the staff. This dish was so disappointing, the sauce tasted like just tomatoes which suggests it wasn’t cooked enough, the lamb was tough and chewy, so either it was under or over cooked. This dish was a huge disappointment for me especially since I cook a mean lamb curry I’d just like to add that my partner enjoyed the lamb curry, he said it wasn’t the best he’s had but wasn’t bad either The best part about this place was that our waiter was very friendly and you could bring your own booze tooFrom all the reviews I can see how positive they are I only assume my experience was a one off. Hand on my heart, I had the best chicken tikka biryani ever at Lahore, it was super tasty and the rice perfectly light and fluffy. We visited on a very busy Saturday evening but the staff were very friendly and quick and we didn't have to wait long. The restaurant is not serving alcoholic drinks, if you fancy a beer or wine with the food you are welcome to bring your own and they will serve it in the right glasses. There is a store selling all sort of drinks opposite the restaurant. I strongly recommend this place and will most definitely be back next time I'm in Bournemouth.

I was speaking with a friend in N India, who was eating paratha and pickle… It put me in the mood for one but I’ve never been pleased with any I’ve been served here, in Bournemouth. Yesterday, I thought that I’d try Lahore for the first time. The food arrived on time and arrived piping hot. I ate bindi and karella subji with paratha and it was authentic and delicious! The best I’ve eaten outside India. I’d ordered two paratha but could only manage one so I reheated the stuffed paratha for lunch and ate it with home made piccalilli… Delicious! I will certainly reorder from Lahore.

Whilst on a short family break to Bournemouth we decided to go for a curry and this place sounded good from the other reviews on here.As we entered it was really busy and I wasn’t sure they were ready for our lively 5 year old twins. Ordered through UberEats, food arrived promptly within the alloted time frame, the delivery lady was lovely,both vegetarian and meat dishes were very fresh and tasty. With the 50% January discount the meal was very cheap but we were still given a free poppadum and yogurt sauce. Would definitely order again and visit after lockdown.

Acabábamos de llegar para pasar un fin de semana y estábamos buscando una cena de abeto. Estamos muy contentos de haber elegido este indio. Fue consciente de COVID. El personal fue muy agradable y te dio todo el tiempo que necesitabas entre cursos. La comida era deliciosa. Nos quedamos impactados cuando nos dimos cuenta de que no vendían alcohol, pero no hubo problema ya que había una tienda al otro lado de la calle. Luego nos dieron vasos. Perfecto.

Visito amigos en Bournemouth dos o tres veces al año y este se ha convertido en un viaje obligatorio cada vez durante los últimos años. Siempre un cordial saludo y un servicio rápido. Los poppadoms son excelentes con algunos excelentes encurtidos (menciones especiales para el encurtido de lima y la salsa de tamarindo y el chutney). Después de unas samosas de carne que estaban buenas, esta vez me comí un pollo tikka do - piaza que estaba lleno de sabor (un plato que puede resultar insípido en otros restaurantes). Pan naan de arroz y champiñones completaron los platos principales. De alguna manera nos las arreglamos para terminar todo lo que pedimos esta vez, simplemente manejando el After Eight ofrecido con la factura. Otra excelente comida aquí, nunca me ha decepcionado.

Después de un largo día en la playa con niños cansados, lo último que quería era comer en el auto, ya que la mayoría de los lugares solo abren para llevar. BOURNEMOUTH OF LAHORE estaba abierto para cenar, así que mi familia y un amigo con su familia fueron a cenar.¡La comida era tan sosa! Pedí un arroz frito con pollo que era solo arroz mezclado con huevos, hojas de cilantro y pollo frito, mi amigo pidió un biriyani de cordero picante, también fue decepcionante porque solo pudimos probar el chile en polvo y nada más. También pedimos dhal que no tenía sabor. Muy decepcionado con la comida. Puede que sea el momento de que el chef aprenda a cocinar o que cambien de chef.

What a gem this is! Being a BYO is not a problem as there are plenty of local off licences to supply your beer or wine. The set meal for one at £12.95 was amazing - high quality and generous portions - and the service was impeccable . El arroz era ligero y esponjoso y el naan era encantador, fresco y ligero también.El vindaloo fue muy agradable. Great food with a good variety of dishes.We ordered a variety and when it came it was well cooked and hot. The service was excellent the staff were very friendly and efficient.

9-Nov Bournemouth Lahore. Visited for dinner on a Saturday night. Despite having never been to the restaurant before I received an incredibly warm welcome and was even re-seated to a larger table by the window before my friend arrived. We brought our own wine and glasses were promptly provided (no chiller, though, so you might want to bring one of those ice sleeves if you want to keep your wine cold). The food was very good indeed: Poppadoms with all the accompaniments, samosas, bhaji, Lahore special, rice, vegetables, all very good indeed, and excellent value. The lovely waiting staff really cared that everything was OK and treated all their customers so beautifully, a real pleasure to see. This isn't the best location in Bournemouth as this part of town is somewhat down at heel (there was even a minor scuffle outside during our meal) but the restaurant itself has fab food & service.

Excellent food; friendly, fast and efficient staff; reasonable prices. We were a large group but everyone was served with respect.

Great variety of dishes. I had fish tikka and coconut rice really nice. My friend had lots of different dishes and enjoyed them all. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

If you really want to taste of spice full of flovours with different taste of special traditional sauces Lahore is the best...
