Spice Garden in Bromley

Ordered for delivery, after waiting an hour 30 minutes, I still have not received my order. Requested a refund as called shop and they hadn’t started cooking yet. Have always ordered from here, but recently it’s gone down hill which is a shame as it’s local.

Had to wait 2 hours for home delivery. And the chicken tikka was raw. Start are rude.

Tasty food and excellent service!

I ordered food and it was vile. The korma was tiny the rice tasted like water. Meant to get 3 onion bargies only got two and they was stale. The whole food was a disappointment and not worth the price. Threw it in the bin.

2 hours wait. Food turned up cold and bread was still frozen.😡 Avoid at all cost.

Come on guys, I know you have been closed for a while. We ordered chicken korma & chicken curry, we received, a chicken madras, clearly written on the carton. In both main dishes, the meat was like rubber. Not impressed at all. Has this business changed owners ???

Would love to support a local more regularly but have been consistently disappointed by the service times of this restaurant. Its late every single time we've tried - be it an order via website, an order in person, collection or delivery. It has never been on time. The last order we placed the food took so long we we bailed on the delivery and went to pick up in person but the food was cold and with missing items. No apology for missing item either. Taste wise it has gone downhill, not remotely spicy and everything tastes the same. Plenty of room for improvement.

Iv only ever had delivery as I became agrophobic a few years ago & I'm not good with others lol but I'd eat this food everyday if I could afford it reminds me of my nans cooking always a lovely smile from delivery man & iv never got any cash for a tip can we add it to our food bill ??? I keep promising my daughter & son in law one but there always working I can not prazz them enough best curries iv ever had from a restaurant exp Curry Queen Lee High Rd 70s /80s no idear what happend just closed over night 💙 so that's how long iv been looking if you have a garden for outdoor dinning book me in ASAP I'm a very fussy moo 🐮 💙 too ❤ 😊 try it you will not regret bx

Be careful when ordering from their website - Have been customers of this restaurant for a few years now and the food + service has always been very good - Website usually works well. However, we made an order recently using their website as usual - the order was successful and payment was taken - Delivery within 45 mins - We waited for over an hour only to realise that the restaurant had closed early and no food was coming. I had to wait until they reopened at 5:30pm the next evening when I agreed to accept my order for the previous evening but having an extra guest I would need to add an extra plain curry + rice. They still wanted payment for the extra dish even after leaving us without food the previous evening. I suggested that this should be free given that I'd already paid £58 for a meal that didn't arrive and hadn't even received an apology. Loyalty is not rewarded. Bit disappointed and miffed tbh.

No choice but to edit. Ordered online before they opened for 1st delivery Phoned 30 minutes after stated delivery and told order hadn’t been put through, yet payment taken. Although courteous and delivered quickly, unfortunately some items missing. No reimbursement or amends for it being much later than wanted. Such a shame. Just hope the service was better for all the people we recommended it to after the time before. Ordered a take away to be delivered. If I was to use one word to describe what we ate, it would have to be outstanding. The food arrived piping hot and each element was delicious from the meat dishes through to the garnishes. We all agreed it was very tasty and will be ordered again. Many thanks.

I called them again to tell them how ridiculously long we had been waiting and the food obviously wasn’t even started when we spoke the first time. The man on the phone barely even apologised and repeatedly said it was on the way. In the end our food was over AN HOUR AND 15 MINS LATE. It finally arrived at 7:36, 2 hours after placing the original order. So ridiculous we won’t be ordering again

Fantastic authentic Indian food, especially recommend the Tandoori Chicken and the Mushroom Bhaji. If you are ordering a takeaway to your home, be sure to factor in the delivery time, as they cook everything fresh (takes about an hour on average).

Got to be the best curry in Bromley. All the staff are always happy to see you. They cannot do enough for you. The chef always pops out for a chat with you. 5 star all way way.

This is the best Indian Restaurant here in Bromley. The meal was very delicious and unforgettable. The chef and the stuffs were very friendly and the service was excellent. They deserve more than 5 stars!! Loved it

Good Indian food in a quiet neighborhood. We liked the service and food here. Tried saag paneer , stuffed paratha and masala kulcha. Portions were big and generous for the price. Will definitely visit again. Giving only 4 stars because they can improve the taste a little bit.

I ordered from this lovely restaurant not far from me i was sceptical as I've never eaten from here before but I must say this was the best Indian restaurant I have eaten from. Indian food is my number 1 takeaway and this ticked all the boxes for me and my family the food was hot tasteful and really good quality and was not overpriced and the stuff are lovely and delivery was very quick.👌

Always lovely food! We have used this place for a few years, no where compares! Fresh, fluffy Naan bread is out of this world, onion bhaji’s crispy on the outside and full of flavour, all dishes have been superb. Would highly recommend!

It was late on a Sunday & they were closing. Still served us with awesome food. We are going again next weekend but earlier. Also the staff are lovely & welcoming. We have tried many Indian places in the area but they are defo the best😊😋

Ordered via Just Eat at 18:51. Food arrived at 21:10. Had to go get other food as starving. If you get told it’ll be another 20 mins (once they’ve missed the delivery time) just make other plans as it’ll be an hour before your food arrives. Would prefer if restaurants simply declined the order if they are busy.

Was told 45 minutes for delivery It arrived 2 HOURS LATER. The guy on the phone told me the driver got lost, the driver told me they are just very busy. So knew I was being lied to by one of them. No discount offered or any compensation. Onion Baji flat and boring. Dips were bland and very runny. Not a great experience Food was mediocre and a bit cold. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Free parking right out front if required off peak times. Staff most welcoming, arranged a group table with less than an hours notice. Value for money too the bill including drinks very reasonable. Warm atmosphere, could not want for anything more. Keep up the good work :)

Ordered through Ubereats and found the prices quoted there were higher than those shown on their online menu. In addition, a 10% "Service fee" was added on top of a 79p delivery fee. To cap it off and to totally spoil the experience, they did not include the pilau rice I ordered and paid for.

Food stored in middle of restaurant floor, tables very small, mouse droppings in toilet, restaurant space used for storage of general items including laundry, service slow, rice tasted of oil and not much else, by far the worst curry house I've ever been to.

Just had an amazing meal. Came nice and hot and time stated. Will definitely order again.

We have a curry from the Spice Garden every Friday! With out a doubt its the best Indian we have tried. We eat in the restaurant with the whole family for special occasions, the service is great, not slow and food is always tasty and hot. Takeaways are just as tasty and decent portion. Had a takeaway on Tuesday and again on Friday. On both occasions the food was excellent. We had a mixture of starters and mains. All dishes were fresh and tasty. The Spice Garden has to be the best value for money restaurant in Bromley. I would highly recommend.

Value for money. Very freindly people. We use it for takeaway also. Food is consistent and they get to know you as soon as you give your address they ask how you are and the family. Eating in and the familiarity continues. Great people, Great food. We ordered 5 meals of varying dishes. The food arrived promptly and was great. One of the guys eating was wary of eating curry for various reasons but has actually said he’ll eat it again. I can definitely recommend this place.

Nice Sunday buffet, eat as much as you like. Very good value . Naan bread cooked to order, was beautiful, hot and fresh. They made a vindaloo for my son as wasn't on the buffet menu. Great service

Last week me and my family visited spice garden for my birthday and my birthday meal was delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful the service was quick and amazing. Definitely will be back soon with friends and family. Highly recommended!

Last night I gave them 4 stars as they had great customer service and the food tasted good despite it being over 40 minutes late However today I have had a severe case of food poisoning caused from this food ( it was the only food I ate yesterday) I feel so so unwell

I ordered a takeaway on the 23/3/19 and I’ve never been more disappointed. Firstly our food was all cold, I specifically choose an restaurant that’s not too far from my home (Less then 2 miles away) so I do not expect to have to warm my food in the microwave! My partner ordered a Chicken Tikka CHILLI Massala which is described as “hot and punchy” but the curry was bland and equivalent to a Korma! Mushroom rice, the Chilli Massala and the Aloo Gobi were all swimming in water and oil (I have added some photos to show this)We ordered a Garlic Naan but again this was freezing cold and was also rock hard, I couldn’t even cut it with a pizza cutter! I do not like leaving bad reviews at all. I have already phoned Spice Garden and tried to talk to them about our order but when explaining to them about our food they did not seem to care, no apology given at all. Extremely disappointing food. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

This restaurant has a great menu, varied enough for anybody’s tastes. I use the just eat app to order and have never had an error at all. The food arrives promptly and always tastes brilliant. One of my favourite two Indian cuisine restaurant’s in this area. I can highly recommend

Nice atmosphere. Went in for the sunday buffet. Very well priced, beating all locally priced venues to my knowledge. Its a small buffet, but with a good mix to suit most tastes. I definitely recommend the home made samosas - very yummy indeed.

Spice Garden has rebooted itself this year with a really good website and equally good customer service. Good food at a reasonable price.

We've been going to and having take aways from Spice Garden for years. Would really recommend it. You may have to wait for your takeaway meal to be ready but thats just that they are always busy.

Ordered last night and the food was cooked to perfection. The Lamb Naga melted and all the flavours were vonpletely different. One dish can often taste very similar to the next but not here. Will order again.

Excellent service! Very clean restaurant, Naga chicken, Daal, Chilli tikka massala with noodles was delicious. Would recommend guys to check out their food, so much to choose from. Great food. Very tasty traditional Indian dishes. Always freshly prepared so well worth the wait. Very reasonable prices. It's a wonder the place isn't packed because it should be. It's our own little jewel in the high street.

Me and my family have been using spice garden for over a decade and it's never failed to please.

Have been using the spice garden since it first opened as a takeaway only some 20 years ago. From day 1 the food has been very good standard and the staff very friendly. On the rare occasion the food has been not so good they are always happy to replace it or knock money off the next time...Earlier in the year one of the original joint owners left and the remaining partner has been working endlessly to build the restaurants reputation. It now has 4 stars with the food standards agency and one of the original waiters has just returned... The restaurant is once again warm and friendly and when I popped in this Saturday night it was packed. Anyone who gave this restaurant a wide berth earlier in the year should give it another try...

Lacks refinement within the restaurant but the staff and food make up for this.... modernisation of the decor, carpet and furniture would increase the appeal of this restaurant and make it more appealing for a more upmarket dining experience.... However the food is second to none... the best Indian cuisine I have eaten. I have been ordering food from here for over 10 years and would not order from anywhere else... You will struggle to find better service and better Indian food in the area... up date the restaurant and this is a 5 star establishment you must try it !!!

I love spicy food. I treat myself to a Chicken Madras most weeks and have never been disappointed. Getting a little expensive but still good value. I use the takeaway service. It usually arrives within 30 minutes.

I actually found this place by accident while driving late last night back to North London and it seemed to be the only food place that was open, it is a small little independent takeaway/restaurant (although more suited for takeaways) which has been going for over 20 years. While the place may be deceiving from the outside, I could not praise the quality of service, Yunis was extremely helpful and friendly, I also needed my phone charging and he was more than happy to do this for me even though they were nearly about to close.

Valentines day i arrived at the restaurant at 7.30pm approx ordered food for me my husband and daughter. Only after (AFTER) paying £36.00 i was told it would be at least 45 minutes to wait or 1 hour for them to deliver. (i live across the road from the restaurant ) 1 hour 20 minutes later was still waiting so my husband had to go up ..............kmt someones taking the pxxx with me
