Simply the worst takeaway and delivery experience we have ever had. Stay away or have a back up plan. Eugh.

The takeaway and delivery food used to be delightful. Since they opened their other restaurant, it has been sliding downhill. We are so disappointed, as we used to love the spice corner curries. The chicken is now cheaper/sometimes tough, the flavours have changed for the worse. Rice just isn’t the same, please change back. We’ve had several bad ones in a row now. We keep hoping it will go back as was, sadly it doesn’t. Orders are often wrong now as well. One time we didn’t get our food, and I couldn’t get a refund from the website host. Going to give it a rest and try again in a few months. Fingers firmly crossed you improve 😕

Ordered 4 separate meals, when I picked them up it was all smiles and smelt amazing! When I got home (5 mins away) the prawn curry was freezing cold, the rice was also and no poppadoms? I immediately called to complain and they literally laughed at me? I know it may seem silly me complaining but this is our one treat in a week which we work really hard for? Very disappointed and saddened at their response. Never again!

I am not sure which takeaway the other people have reviewed as we have never had any issues with the food from Spice Corner in Ilchester. We have been using this takeaway for a few years now. Always really tasty food and great service.

Absolutely appalled with the service, ordered before the 21:30 deadline, but their delivery driver had left early for the night so they were unable to deliver. However they continued to take orders that they could not fulfil and then refused to assist with the refund and passed the blame to Chef Ready - the ordering service that you have to order through direct from their website. When we contacted them, they were awkward and unhelpful, to the point of being rude on the phone, didn't apologise, and blamed everyone else, including us. Very dissatisfied. Where the money had already been processed, we asked if we could collect ourselves, they answered no as they now weren't cooking anything else. So they have our money, we have no food - appalled. I would not recommend based on the complete lack of customer service.

Tasteless food, and I’m sure it was reheated because of the texture. VERY disappointing and we won’t be using this place again.

Probably the worst Indian I’ve had in my life. To be honest I didn’t even recognize it as an Indian meal.

Bland, watery and tasteless. The first time we had Korma from here, we thought it just must be a bad night- surely no one could get it THAT wrong?? Ordered again, along with butter chicken and the same thing...tasteless, watery and bland.

Ordered takeaway from here on nye to enjoy at home, you can now order online which makes the process a lot easier, food turned up within good time on a very busy night, delivery price was excellent, driver was polite and the food was absolutely delicious, we really enjoyed all of our dishes! Highly recommended 👌

Great takeaway, well spiced, if your dish is meant to by spicy, it will be! Free onion bhaji over £15 order if you mention it on the phone. Sag paneer good flavouring

We travel the world (post covid) for Indian cuisine, it is our passion. There are very few places (save Birmingham and London) that do decent aromatic yet spicy and cooked properly. Spice corner is excellent for a takeaway.

I have used this takeaway for a few years now, sadly the quality and quantity has gone down hill. Chicken tikka bhuna meat was tough, texture like it was crunchy. And my wife left all her chicken as it was just poor quality and tasted awful. Never ordering from here again.

Second time ordered from here, certainly the last.. There are three previous reviews, all 5 stars. How they have gotten these beggars belief.. We spent just shy of £30 on food for three of us - two adults and a child, and it barely fed us. ALL portions were small, really disappointing. The garlic naans were bland and tasted nothing like garlic, hideous. Pilau rice was acceptable. Chips were decent, but only just enough to feed one adult at £3. Chicken Pakora were the worst I’ve ever had, an awful, flat affair that were fried beyond taste and recognition.. nothing like a pakora I’ve had anywhere else. Finally the Chicken Tikka Misala was average at best. Probably the first time I’ve never finished an Indian meal, in fact the salad box was probably the best bit! Definitely avoid, much better (and cheaper) Indian takeaways around including one in Somerton and those in Yeovil.

The first time we had used this takeaway, and it wont be the last. Very good, the Chicken Curry was one of the best, we would recommend this takeaway.
