Would normally give 5 stars for memsaab!!! A busy night when I went with 2 friends and they did squeeze us in hence a 5 for service guys were great hence a hefty tip left !! But the food was bland and tasteless I'm putting that down to a late booking and busy night as the several occasions I've been before food couldn't be faulted !! Just n off night !!

Food was average, service was poor and to add insult to injury had the cheek to charge 50p for a plastic container for left over curry and on top of that 50p for a carrier bag to put it in. Won't be going again!

Pretty piss poor really. Ordered me and my partner "chicken" malasa Delivered quickly, go to tuck.in first bite had chipped bones in it. Second bite was like fat, really chewy £36 well wasted. 👌

Food taste was great, service was good and the restaurant was ok when at your seat. Toilets dated and entrance run down. I was happy until I saw at the end I had been charged £1 for a takeaway container (10p standard plastic container) for my meal when I already had a over £35 dining experience. Shame

Had a takeaway. Delivery timing is always great, they always arrive earlier than they say. This time the food was not as good. The korma didn't taste as nice, bland and all dishes had visible water in them. Disappointed, always been great.

Ordered online delivery to be delivered for 7pm. Order arrived at 6:30pm. What is the point of stipulating a delivery time!!!

Fantastic service. The waiter made sure we ordered before a large group so we didn't have to wait and knew when to bring the food out and ask if more drinks were needed. The food was great. Prawn dansak was full of flavour and very spicy compared to usual which was unexpected but a refreshing change. Nice fresh salad, poppadoms and chutneys. All in all a great experience and would recommend to others who like Indian food.

Ordered lamb jalfrezi takeaway and the lamb had a red colour as if it had been in a tikka dish and reheated. It was very dry and tough. Usually good food but not this time

Went to eat early and the restaurant was already busy, we went for the Wednesday Banquet offer. Currently £14.95 for starter, main and side dish, nearly everything on menu included. Staff are friendly and ready to help with the menu.

We have used memsaab a few times now, we ate in the restaurant last weekend and the service was terrible, they were busy we had booked weeks ago, and we were sat at the end of the restaurant next to a very roudy group of lads, we had our grandsons with us too. It took over an hour to even get a drink, the chicken dish we had was really salty… so tonight I thought we’d try again the food took well over an hour and half and it was stone cold, naan bread was burnt onion Bhaji were burnt by the time it arrived. So disappointed we will not be using this Indian again.

Sadly no vegan options available. They stated that they use ghee in all dishes. Such a shame. Staff were lovely and friendly to our group though.

22nd Feb This was a delivery Bit into a large chunk of Chicken in my Vegetable Makhani. Complained and asked for a refund, however the chef disputed there was any in there They wanted evidence which was difficult as most of the meal was eaten and the rest thrown. After forensically going through the bin contents small bit were found, however, the driver was told that he needed the container with the sauce etc, which was not possible as most sauce had been eaten with the rice etc. So, they’re not prepared to refund, although they did say that I could have credit for another meal.

Absolute rubbish and an insult for £45!! Onion bajees were burned to a crisp, prawn dish tasted of kerosine and the rest of it was tasteless. If a chef cannot even drop a few bajees into a deep fat fryer, pull them out at the right time and inspect them to make sure they're fit for human consumption, you have to question what other basic tasks they're not capable of executing effectively..... Hopefully nothing hygiene related!! First and last time I order from here

Eating out in Yeovil can be a mixed bag, but Memsaab is a bag full of many great things. From the fantastic food to the friendly service, myself and my group had an amazing Friday night here and will be visiting again very soon. Totally recommend!

Table for 14 on Saturday 15th April, bosses retirement night. Food was ok, overpriced tho, £7.99 for a bottle of sparkling water? Cmon! Gents toilets in need of attention.Wont be back

Initially thought it looked quite expensive but when the meals turned up there was so much and it was soon tasty. First time here and will definitely return.

Very late. Really not impressed. Over an hour late. Obviously forgot and kept saying 10 mins away. Phoned 3 times. Really embarrassing. Not even offered any money off. I’d go somewhere else and food wasn’t great after all anyway.

Does not even deserve 1 start order food at 5PM to then having to call them as they didn’t think it would be a good idea to ring and let you know that your food is going to be longer then the time they told you. waited an hour to then be told it will be with you in 30 mins to which the half an hour came and food still wasn’t here to then ring them again to which the food was on the way at 6:45 we got fed up and told them we didn’t want it and will go somewhere else to which there answer was to knock £5 of a £42 bill told them not interested food has took to long to then them getting high ratted!!! With the economy as it is at the moment you would think you would wanna keep one of your customers never ordering from here again

My friend and I had a good Indian meal for two which included more food than we could eat. We arrived about 8:30 pm and were able to get a table after a 10 minute wait. Staff was friendly and efficient and the multiple courses showed up just when we were ready.

Not the best Indian Restaurant food by a mile but ok. The service is good value though and the venue welcoming. The Pakora are nothing like what I have ever had before (see picture).

Best Indian in Yeovil. Absolutely outstanding

Visited recently as not been since before covid 19. Great to say nothing has changed with great food service and atmosphere.

This is the best Indian in town. I was greeted by a very happy delivery guy. My food was hot and so tasty. I even asked for not so hot Bombay potatoes and they were perfect. I even have enough left over for a meal tomorrow night. If your thinking on having an Indian, this is the place to go. Well done Memsaab and thank you.

we had takeaway the pappadums were uneatable ,having been cooked in rancid oil ,the rest of the meal was unusual in being medeocre the meal was spoiled for us ,memsaab also did not reply to my emailed complaint ,so ,go there again ?? not sure it cost us £44 to find that out

Went out for the evening with friends. It's the busiest I've seen. We didn't know it was a banquet night, as it would save us a bit of money. There were 10 of us for the meal, as it was me friend's belated birthday. The other people ordered a banquet but didn't tell us, or explained what it was? The staff asked us if we were normal or banquet? We said normal. He didn't tell us what the banquet was for? We looked at each other, and just said normal. Apart from not telling us and would have saved bit of money, atmosphere was noisy with other diners, especially most was all male. Nothing wrong with it, just men's talking a lot louder! It's nice not to have music on when chatting and eating. Hubby had king prawn biryani, but his prawns weren't king, very small. He's had bigger prawns from other Indian restaurant. Said it was bland. I had Tawna veg, although it tasted nice but also bland. Staff were friendly, but hard to listen with noisy diners.

Horrible customer service.plz never order take way through this restaurant . Bcoz they never trust the customer when we order in phone . I Order food 45min before. And told him I will Collect at 20:30 can you plz start cooking at 20:15 he said ok. When I went at 20:37 and I asked him where is my take away the guy in the pic said oh you came now .I will tell kitchen to Start cooking it will be done in 10min . When I ask why it’s is ready at 20:30 the staff saying we don’t know you will Coming to collect r not. Then the staff also gave the answer it’s not ready in time SO WHAT … in a rude way..…and finally collected my take away at 20:55 with no salad bag . Just 2 Biriyani and curry. I hope this feed back will . Give a lesson to the staff and owner hiring him. …

Really good food and lovely staff

Ordered on just eat arrived early no issues there. Samosas were lovely, very crispy a little oily but lovely. The pilau rice was very strange very long grains, Iv never seen rice grains nearly an inch big, stodgy snd over cooked, lumpy and not great. The prawn pattia was nice and spicy but the prawns were not nice, almost chalky tasting. Shame as all the reviews were raving how great it was so I expected better. Was not the worst Iv ever had but definitely not the best. Very disappointing. I doubt I’ll be a returning customer.

One of the better Indian restaurants in yeovil

Was staying locally whilst visiting South Coast area. Eat a lot if great curry where we live. Found this place reading others reviews. The chicken we had was huge size chunks and incredibly tender. Ceylon and Patia were perfectly on point. Light rice. Not greasy. Chicken tikka naan was a highlight. Will definitely return if in the area again. Many thanks

So - went as a party of 15, so expected some issues. If you are drunk, these issues would probably be an OK - and I think this is what they are used to dealing with, but as a few of us were sober, it was pretty bad! Food was very slow coming and we had to ask several times after it.we arrived at 1945-2000, but eneded up eating at 2130/2220 for our main courses! The people serving would also miss drinks when ordered and had to be reordered multiple times. Even then, it was hit and miss who received a drink. Poor service - the men serving spilled drinks into people's food as they leaned across, or barged people out of the way to lean across to deliver food - and also gave food to someone at one end and told everyone to 'pass it down'. Not sure why this is acceptable? When someone in the party was missing part of their meal, the waiters took this from someone else who was already eating it. Very strange! We were still charged for the missing food. Coupled with a hair in my food, and it turned out to be very expensive- I won't be going again!

First time visit here with family who live locally. Friendly welcome from staff, poppadoms and chutney served as we looked at menu. Ordered our wine Rose and White. Good selection of dishes to choose from, shared a mixed platter, chicken korma, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, chapati and a saag paneer, all our food was freshly made and very tasty, staff were chatty and welcoming, we enjoyed our visit here, will return next time in Yeovil :) :)

Well worthy of 10 stars not alone 5 Food and service well amongst the best we have ever had in the uk and we travel a lot for work and pleasure. Dont take our word for it go and try it for yourselves. You will be well surprised and glad you did !! All that remains to be said is a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone at Memsaab for a great meal and evening We will be back again. 04/02/22

Every few weeks myself and my partner drive to random towns, Google places to eat and go with what looks good. This weekend we ended up in Yeovil. We come to this amazing Indian restaurant. We was so amazed. The food was incredible. Huge portions, flavour throughout everything you eat! You will not be disappointed. Staff are also absolutely lovely! Well worth a visit!

Good food, served pretty quickly considering it was quite busy

Ordered food via website - drove to Yeovil to collect at agreed time, told no order on system. Thought - OK. Few weeks later tried again ordering by phone, same happened again. On both occasions we waited a further 60 minutes for the food [which although was nice] I'm sorry, we will not be returning.

One of the best curry houses in town

Have a Dinner here with family, very colourful and delicious food. We ordered Chef Specialities menu, everyone were happy with the food. Inside restaurant was very clean, tidy and spacious. Ideal for party with tasty food.

Our first Indian meal in our new town of Yeovil and we were not disappointed. Lovely food, good ambience and nice staff!

Good food but they don't half chuck you out fast while the last mouthful is still going down. They should make customers aware at the start that they want them to eat & shove off.

On holiday (staycation) and ordered food at about 10pm from here. Food turn up in time expected (from just eat) but only just warm not hot. Also one of our dishes were missing. As we ordered late by the time we rang up to complain the restaurant was closed! Food was mediocre, had better elsewhere

Went for a sit down meal with my partner and her parents. Not usually that big on Indian food as a personal preference but my vegetable masala was very tasty! Service was polite and we didn't have to wait too long for our food to arrive. All in all, good meal out

I always order takeaway delivered to Sherborne as it’s our favourite. Friendly over the phone, friendly when delivering. Food is much better than what we have here, always fresh and just the best tasting Indian around. Wouldn’t order from anywhere else!

I’m a Big fan of Indian food . We have always had nice meals delivered by Memsaab . Recently on a busy New Year’s Eve the delivery was delayed by a few hours. The owner kindly told us the next meal would be on the house. He kept to his word. Appreciated thank you very much , we hope to see you again soon.

Food ok but not worth the 3 hour wait for delivery! Ordered at 6pm arrived 9pm, rang several times and lied to by the staff who said it was on the way. Wont use again.

I have been a regular user of this restaurant for many years and have given very positive reviews in the past. I can appreciate they may have been busy tonight so I ordered via a well known App 2 Hrs in advance, my food turned up over an hour late and cold. Being a regular I feel very let down and will now probably look for another local restaurant to support. If over busy why not do as other restaurants have done, take themselves off of the App or don’t take any more orders. Not a happy customer.

Used to be high quality but they must have different chef or he has had a off night chicken dish tasted like old chicken meat dish was so tough it would have made a good repair on leather shoes if I had been eaten in I would have walked out without paying in fact if they want to refund me I will give them there curry back not happy so will look elsewhere from now

This is the best Indian takeaway in Yeovil! Just had a Saturday treat of takeaway and it was up to its usual standard. Delivered at the correct time, food was very hot and so so tasty. The free onion bhajis were amazing.Looking forward to the next time we use you. Thank you so much x x x

Ordered a takeaway from a restaurant we haven’t tried before . Were very pleased . The tandoori special was freshly cooked and juicy. Lovely rice and garlic Naan. My wifes passanda was beautiful and creamy. Came within the time stated. Hot and fresh. The sauce with the onion Bhaji was fantastic. Overall a great experience. My only negative was that we ordered 2 Naans but only got one. However we were only charged for one, so clearly it was a communication problem. Will order again without hesitation.

Always awesome food, friendly staff and great environment

There was a table booked for 14 for my 22nd birthday there were 2 children one of which was a toddler. A friend of mine rang up the resturant the previous night to make sure the table was booked and sorted and they said yes. went in just be for 7pm ( the time the table was booked for) only to be refused to have the table. That is not the professionalism I was expecting to have on my birthday so thank you very much for ruining my 22nd birthday.

Went here for a family meal odered food took nearly an hour then found a black hair what looked like a pube food was also cold considering it took so long then when I reported our issues they were very dismissive and told us to get out never eating here ever again.

Took 2 and a half hours to arrive and then when it did arrived the delivery driver was very rude and disrespectful!

Proper curry, didn't knock your socks off and tasted great at a reasonable price.
