Lamb tasted old and the sauce was odd, I threw it away,

This takeaway used to be awesome, but recently i feel the quality has slipped! We ordered a Vegetable Biriani this evening but there were so few spices in it, that it just tasted like a veggie stew! Has the chef changed? .... note to business.. if you have a good product... dont change it! If i can make a better Indian meal at home.. you are doing something wrong!!!

Always enjoy the food - it is consistent and a good selection on the menu. Their Onion Bhajis have a slight twist to the norm being Saffron infused looking at the colour and really good when hot. Nan breads are a little different to our personal travel experiences but still good. No stars for Atmosphere due to it being a takeaway but the staff are friendly and helpful.

Really nice fresh tasting food, nicest poppadoms and bhaji we've had in a while. Bit of a wait on a busy Friday night, but it came with a sorry for the wait.

Ordered as soon as it opened was there to collect as requested when I got home (across the road) it was stone cold on the bottom. I had a prawn dish so didn't want to risk it. Called them and they just said "what do you want me to do about it" won't recommend or ever go back

This Indian takeaway never fails to produce some of the best Indian food. And the free poppadoms are always appreciated. Delicious food, great service, highly recommended.

Made an order for between £50-£60. This was for a group that included vegetarians. Was told it would be around 45 minutes. Ending up taking about and hour half. Finally got home to find that items were missing or wrong. Called the takeout to inform them and they said it f we drove back they would give us missing items but that they had gone a head a substituted some of the other items as they’d run out. I wish they had told us this when we originally picked up the order as what they didn’t tell us about was that they had swapped vegetable samosas for meat ones! By the time we got to sit down and eat everything was cold, a lot of it missing and left with food we couldn’t eat as it was meat. Asked them for a partial refund, which they refused. No apology, nothing. A lot of other unhappy customers also complaining that night about missing order items and the time it took. I understand that some times it can be busy and therefore have knock in effect with timings but then to not communicate changes to order or make a good will gesture as an apology in the way of a partial refund is really bad service. Used to use Ayshas years ago and the service was really good. Disappointing and probably wouldn’t eat from there again

Delicious food! You often get free additions too. Sometimes you have to wait a while longer than the pickup time, so we just order it about 10 minutes earlier than any other takeaway if we’re ordering from multiple places. 🙂

We had Korma and Tikka Massala, 2 naan bread, special and pilau rice. It was ready on time, hot and tasty. Chicken so tender, rice was tasty, and cooked to perfection. All in all a top class meal very well worth the money.

Expensive and mediocre. If I pay almost £9 for a main course - no side dish, rice etc - I expect it to last for two meals. This one barely filled me up even though I added my own rice; the lamb was a bit tough and flavour bland. If this place was in Brick Lane ... well they wouldn’t survive a week.

Whow. Fantastic food and huge portions. Chef Owner has been Taunton and Deane Curry Chef of the year on five occasions at his previous restaurant and you can see why. Only negative is that there is no cauliflower Bhaji.

Ordered a take-away using the app. It was simple to use. We then drove over to collect the meal. On arrival we were acknowledged by the front of house staff & told our order would take a few minutes. The smell of the spices was lovely. We arrived to home to find complimentary poppadoms and onion salad. The portions were a really good size compared to the normal small containers you usually get. Keema Nan was large. The meal was too much for us to eat in 1 sitting. Good to be able to order dishes that we have not experienced before. We were really pleased with the quality and quantity of the dishes. Sorry to see negative reports posted but this evening there is no fault with the take-away and we will be returning again.

My wife and I have been using this takeaway since it first opened, recently it seems to have had a change of staff. Whilst the front of house has improved a lot, the food has not. It has gone down the pan, the quality is no longer there. Both of our meals tonight were rubbish and certainly not worth £24 for two mains a rice and a naan. I will not use this takeaway again.

There’s a reason why there are only a couple of reviews for the small takeaway in Martock. The staff (esp front of house) are quite abrupt when taking your order but it’s the food that really lets it down. The prices are high compared to other Indian in the area and totally not worth it. Frozen veg in a curry that also contained Brussel sprouts? Come in guys! Your letting yourselves down. Not recommended.

Having taken notice of the two previous reviews (favourable) I thought,,let’s give it a try!! ,,,my worst expectations would be that it’s at least “ it’ll be OK”.🤔🤔 But alas the food I received was “in all probability” the worst Indian food I have ever been subjected to!, it was truly appalling,,OK they don’t use a traditional tandoori clay oven,, But the chicken and ghee was obviously tinned Ughh 🤮🤮 It tasted more like a Bisto gravy with a bit of chilli powder sprinkled on it,!,,The chicken pieces had a really nasty taste. PS,,it gives me no pleasure in posting this review,, But it may prompt the proprietor to,,Up His Game,! And Add more spices to the tinned gloop that arrives at his kitchen door,! 👿.

I spy a very mixed bag of reviews for this place but I've always found it decent. Unlike some places the vindaloo isn't just all chilli powder it's got better flavours than that and the other dishes are fine too. The guy on the phone when you call your order in is a delight to talk to, he's a real salesman. Almost makes me feel guilty if I don't order a million poppadoms and naan breads (with associated pickles, chutneys and sides). Yeah, it's on the expensive side and yes, sometimes it seems to take an age for them to cook it but we just wander over the road to the pub for a pre-dinner pint while we wait. Good stuff.

I think I may have finally found a local Indian takeaway that I really want to go back to. Food was really flavoursome, well spiced and piping hot. So many takeaways are swimming in oil but not this one. Portion sizes were good and we were also given complementary popadoms. Staff very polite, well done Aysha’s.

Placed an order at 18:27 which stated it would be here by 18:55, spoke to the restaurant at 19:10 who told me my order had left the restaurant and would be 10-15 minutes. Then spoke to the restaurant again at 19:35 as still no sign of the food. Got a call from an unknown number at 20:15 from the delivery driver who told me he had just picked up my order and would be there within 10 minutes. Food arrived at 20:25. Just 1hr and 58 mins after placing the order. Terrible service.

The Veg Rica was enjoyable, but the Tandoori Chicken lacked flavor and tasted like it was made with old, not-so-fresh chicken.

Recent meal here. Dined in. The meal was ok, definitely not the best, but also not the worst Indian food I have had. The chicken in my curry was a little dry and hard, bhaji overcooked. It tasted nice though and I ate it all. Fairly unfriendly staff on duty, whilst attentive it felt like I wasn't particularly welcome. Atmosphere not great.
