Southern Fried Chicken Aylesbury in Aylesbury Vale

staff was nice, at least. But the food was quite disappointing, unfortunately. The fries tasted of old oil. The wrap I got was decent, but the portion was very small.

A few months ago this was the chicken place in Aylesbury and always our “go-to” until we placed an order for delivery and eventually they delivered it to our neighbours, vegetarians ! When we chased them they said go and get it from our neighbours, almost an hour after they delivered it. They eventually replaced our order….we left them almost 5 months until this week when we thought we’d try them again. the flavour of the chicken was “odd” and not pleasant, the coleslaw tasted fizzy and the drinks that came with the order were a brand of cola, the label in Arabic ( says made in Jeddah) and the meal gave us both upset stomachs to the point we threw away the remainder…..very poor now….KFC is better, and I never though I’d say that !

This is an urgent warning to any existing and/or potential supplier to this store. Ahmar and Muktar have built up a huge debt over many years and purposely disconnected all lines of communication and are refusing to pay. We will be issuing court papers to recoup our debt but after 15 years of support and helping build what they have today we have been left shocked with how they treat one of their most loyal suppliers.

Well where do I start, if the raw chicken weren't enough the hairs certainly where. Very poor customer service whilst in the shop, would not recommend and would rather use the more commercial chicken shop across the road.

Foods bad, deliveries take to long, staff are very rude. DO NOT waste your time and money ordering from here !!!

This is the only chicken place in aylesbury that is worth the money, everywhere else has given at some point or another food poisoning. 10/10 the bucket of 8 is well worth it!

Ordered on the phone. Customer service on the phone was terrible as I've always experienced. Received my food in adequate time however wasn't that warm, drink wasn't as cold as expected. Portion size of the fries has reduced significantly over the years whilst prices have gone up.

Used to one of the best but recently chicken has been chewy undercooked portion sizes are terrible burgers are half the size of the bun, have been goin here for many years but won't be going back after the last few times. Just walk down the road to pepes same price better quality

Probably the worst experience I've had my order took one hour fourty five minutes and when it arrives the attitude on the delivery driver is embarrassing to the company and the food well I wouldn't serve it to my dog brown lettuce pink chicken absolutely disgusting one to avoid

I love their peri peri wings, they're spicy and saucy. The fries are delicious. Their wraps don't always taste good, sometimes they're nice and sometimes the chickens dry. Not enough sauce in the wraps. Everytime I've called it's always been loud and noisy on the other end where I can hardly hear myself let alone the member of staff. I now try to just order on an app instead of calling them.

SFC used to be my go to place to satiate my fried chicken cravings. But with so many others around like Pepes, GDK, Peri Peri etc doing it better with much more reasonable prices, I have given up on SFC. The taste is just okay, customer service again is just okay and prices are that of a high end fried chicken place pehaps situated in Central London.

Food was ok but what a catastrophic service. The delivery man seemed bothered to bring my food to my house. Since when does a delivery man give a patronising stare and have an attitude, is it difficult to deliver food to a woman? In any case it's the first and last time that I order from them.

Absolutely trash place to order food from. All the food I ordered went in the bin, disgusting taste.

Its your standard "boss man" shop. Staff argue with other, cramped spaces etc. I was initially quite surprised at the wings as they are very small, almost look like its from a chick rather than a fully grown chicken. They tasted half decent but nothing id rave about. The chips were really nice though which is a shame because its the only thing id rate. The price is a joke 6 wings meal for £5 is a rip off especially when they are that small. I did enjoy my meal but dont think ill buy again.

I generally like Southern Fried but my son went in to collect our order and none of the meals had any drink and they threw 2 chicken wings in a box with some chips and called it a meal. Is it because he was only a young boy or is this now the level of service.

Best takeaway shop in Aylesbury. Highly recommend people to go there.

I can't help thinking that something has changed in the past few months. It used to be my favourite place to go to for chicken, but now I'm not sure. Plus they keep sending me cherry flavoured Pepsi instead of the Pepsi Max I order, which I really don't like.

Food is great I'll admit but that young guy in there is so rude!!!! He cant abide by your opening hours and your opening times on google are clearly wrong. Hes also the rudest most condescending person I've ever had to deal with. I only go in there when boss man is in. The chicken is always spot on and not rushed! If you go in when the owner is there it's amazing. Unfortunately the young lad stops me from using the place.

Ordered an hour ago, asked in the instructions that the driver phones me. Still no sign of my food, no communication, they don't answer their phone and don't respond to the communication on their website.

Rude staff, the taste of the food is not consistent some days it’s fresh and other times it’s not even cooked properly. I’ve never known SFC to slack so much, they are also not interested in providing a good satisfactory customer service.

Ordered 3-4 times now and EVERY time the food has been spot on, delivered on time and always hot and tasty. Genuinely one of the best places in Aylesbury for some decent food.

honestly was the best takeaway in AY, but now I think because of how popular they were they dont care anymore. The meat is old sometimes and you can tell the meat is damaged . i got a bucket and all the chicken was stuck together it was soggy and the friend coating wasnt even crispy t was like slop falling off. the chips were soggy. when i order soe food its good sometimes but when it is bad it is really bad. I wouldnt recommend getting fried bucket everything else is nice. The chicken looks like cheap meat if im being honest. The chilli sauce was the best sauce ever now even that is gone down hill. The only thing good would probably be the canned drinks. Also the staff are rude over the phone

I guess this place is the main competition of KFC which sits directly opposite on Cambridge Street in Aylesbury. To be fair the quality of chicken is exactly the same as their larger rival and the service is much better too. I always find the guys to be extremely friendly and the food is always hot so you can't complain. They were also very friendly in letting me take the pictures so they are obviously proud of their operation.
