South Pacific in Wakefield

Waited over an hour for my meal. Phoned up and they stated another 30 minutes. When asked again how much they stated £15,30 for one meal. One course. They clearly have a captive audience. Not in my world they dont. Shocking service (nearly) and the lady on the phone didnt give a dam. Not her fault I'm sure.

Came here one night for a quick evening tea, got it home and It was absolutely disgusting! U had a chicken curry and chips. It was hot, which is the only good thing I can say about it. The chicken was as dry as ghandis flip-flop also tough and very chewy. The chips had definitely been re-feied and not just once, it was like trying to bite through a brick. Once crunched there wasnt any potato inside. Got told to come here but will definitely never return!

Lovely fresh food and great quality. We go here for our weekly Chinese and both the adults and kids love it. Particularly the salt and pepper chicken, ribs, curry and fried rices dishes are beautiful. The only fault is sometimes it’s that busy you have to wait up to an hour even for collection but definitely worth the wait!

Ordered at 10.30 but never received???? Are you an actual joke??? Disgusting. If you’re too busy to deliver then say - don’t take orders and don’t deliver !!!!

My personal favourite Chinese. Cannot fault any of the food from here. One issue is delivery time, but put that down to how good this place is so it's always busy, order early. Favourite dish is Beef and Green pepper - superb.

The first dish we ordered was the special house chow mien which arrived within 30 mins. Watered down sauce with anemic looking meat slung on top / the “chicken” looked worrying like Bernard Matthews turkey slices. The second dish was beef in black bean Again the sauce was watered down and the tiny pieces of meat looked anemic - almost as is they had been washed and slung into the toilet water that was the black bean sauce. The portion size was tiny as well. Our third dish was the BBQ spare ribs - these were okay and the sauce as requested was served at the side. Our final dish was the egg friend rice which was appalling bland it should have been illegal. I have NEVER had to add salt to a take away - yet this evening was the exception. After a mouthful of each meal and over £25 later - with no free prawn crackers the food went straight into the bin! Disgusting

Whilst visiting my parents, Dad wanted to buy a chinese takeaway meal. I'm ridiculsyly fussy after so many bad experiences, so I stick to my favourite Thai takeaway near Ilkley. I phoned before ordering and spoke to the owner to ask about what options they had and the ingredients, he was really helpful. I ordered King Prawns with hot chilli sauce, it was very tasty with fresh ingredients, chilli's and loads of king prawns, not too hot but perfectly spicy, such a lovely meal..the kids just ordered sides and we was a portion of chips short not the end of the world, I phoned to let them know but they delivered some straight away. Some previous comments mentioned it was expensive, I honestly thought it was terrific value, not expensive one bit. Absolutely brilliant. Lovely food, great service, will most defiantly be ordering again on our next visit..well done South Pacific

great workers, fantastic service,good price, took approximately 10 minutes even though it was extremely busy! really nice food, will be going back, you can't go wrong, best curry sauce I've ever tasted too!
