Sound Bites in Highland

We’ve visited Sounds Bites twice during our week in Camusdarrach. The cafe is independently owned and is the perfect place to stop in and refuel! We were made to feel so welcome by the team, nothing was too much trouble. Our little dog enjoyed his prime position at the upstairs window, watching the street below. We enjoyed soup, toasties and lattes! The lentil soup was truly delicious - I wish I could make soup like it! If you are in Arisaig, stop by and try it, you won’t be disappointed!

Birthday weekend so thought it best to get around the business end of a few jars. Three sambies in i was feeling the pace, but I'm no squirrely amateur, and I don't go down without a fight. Cue soundbites. Bob and Cass sorted me out with a doner kebab that I smashed in about 30 seconds. Home made doner meat which was class, and came with chips too which I wasn't expecting. Cracking feed.

Myself and partner travelled from Fort William with friends for the wok and roll night. we had absolutely amazing food and cracking service! Cassie and Bob run this place like a dream can’t wait for the next themed night! What a fabulous addition the new father and daughter duo Daz and annalese well done guys x much love xx

Les mushrooms sur toasts sont delicieux je recommande 100% ce plat. L’acceuil est simple rien à dire, le service est rapide !

Popped in for brunch and ended up with ordering the Highland Brekkie x2. The presentation was excellent and everything was tasty and perfect. Top marks to the chef. Oh still not sharing my mushrooms either. We will be back.

Wow…….. somebody must be smiling down on me. Other than the challenge in chosing what to order, both courses were beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. Glad I’m staying two nights

Popped in for a quick coffee and would have gladly returned but time was against us. A really friendly place which welcomes dogs and has excellent coffee and food.

Great spot for lunch serving fresh home cooked, tasty food and great coffee - with friendly staff to boot. Glad we stopped by.

Dropped in after a morning out on the hills around Morar/Mallaig. A friendly, warm welcome and prompt service. We both opted for soup (to warm us up) and it was toasty-hot, delicious, hearty home-made soup served with home-made cheese scones. A lovely cup of tea to finish off, and we were ready for the road again. The cakes looked good too, although we didn't have any on this occasion. We'll be back x

Stopped off at Sound Bites for lunch on a day out. Very pretty location and beautiful view from the window seats of the cafe. Very friendly staff and tasty, reasonably priced food. The cafe dog Jet (I hope I have that name correct - apologies if I'm remembering it wrong!) made our visit even better - what a cutie 🥰

An unplanned visit to the beautiful village of Arisaig. After a wander popped in to see if they were just closing and were met with a warm welcome and told they were staying open due to number of people asking. Amazing hospitality, great food and my better half lives the cheesecake. Would definitely recommend this cafe. As music lovers the whole vibe was up our street from the vinyls on the alls and tables to the great background music being played.

Stopped in for a much needed coffee. My husband had the cheesecake - swears it’s the best he has ever had. Loved the tunes too.

Busy wee place with good homecooked food and friendly welcome. Efficient service, lots of chat and laughter. Popular with locals and visitors. Orkney Fudge cheesecake - Wow!

Not my first time here and usually enjoy it but was disappointed with today's visit. The opening hours are a bit limiting morning and afternoon/evening. We were leaving this morning and wanted some breakfast for the long journey home. Had to wait until 11am for the place to open and were left waiting outside (with others also queuing until after opening time). Then waited nearly an hour for food which was supposedly remade after an honest mistake but still came out freezing. I would go back as the food quality is good and service is sometimes but def things to work on.

Feel they are trying hard but a bit more quality especially in the cake department would help. Owners are very enthusiastic but they need better ventilation downstairs - kitchen smells were overpowering.

Perfect spot for coffee. Lovely, friendly staff. Had coffee and beautiful, homemade cheesecake - big portion. Although we didn’t have a meal they looked good and were freshly cooked. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

Stopped in here at lunchtime after reading good reviews. What a lucky find it was! Friendly staff, and quick service despite it being very busy. Cullen Skink was excellent and so were the fish finger sandwiches. Would definitely recommend.
