This place simply does not disappoint. Whether it is the speedy and friendly service or the beautifully laid out food that fulfills all your cravings, you must visit this place. There are a lot of vegan restaurants that boast being great, yet they lack the key ingredient: simply great food, without anything extra. For a vegan restaurant, I look for comforting flavours that deliver and make me and my tummy happy. I have finally found a place I can openly recommend to everyone. Reasonable prices, great services, friendly atmosphere and food you can actually be happy with. I need to go back here, asap. You should too.

Came across this oasis of excellence, by pure chance. We all had what the next door table was tucking into- Lacka (?) noodles accompanied by a side order shared by all three of us-fried mushrooms. Absolutely delicious- spicy, creamy (without being sickly) bowl of what seemed to be chicken or pork, but probably mushrooms, as it's vegan!!!. We were in Edinburgh for the day, having travelled from our Monifieth home, but will definately visit here again when in town.

Absolutely delicious vegan food! We had 4 appetizers and 3 main dishes and every one was a hit: spring rolls, wontons, corn cakes, fried mushrooms, green curry, mapo tofu and sweet and sour tofu. Each dish was savory and well prepared. I would enthusiastically recommend this restaurant to vegetarians and vegans alike!

I really enjoyed Soul Vegan! I had the Sweet & Sour Lion's Mane with boiled rice as a main and it was delicious. I wish I was more hungry as I couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, I didn't try any desserts but they did look lovely. Staff were nice and attentive, very good at checking everything is okay and topping up table water also.

Food was amazing - so flavoursome and corn fritters were the best we’ve ever tasted! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Make sure you book a table as it’s busy!

Four of us were absolutely blown away by Lucky Yu this evening. Not one plate we were served lacked anything! Everything was cooked perfectly and absolutely packed with flavour. Service was friendly, helpful and really attentive with water being filled across the evening and constant checks on the table. I’ve given 5 stars but have two small negatives to mention. Firstly, the cocktail we tried was £10.50 which came with a big cube of ice, we pulled the ice out to find lucky if there was 50ml of liquid in the glass… I wasn’t overly impressed. Secondly, I thought some of the prices were quite steep? Yes the food was delicious, but for example the prawn bao bun was £9.50 for one, this seemed quite a lot to me. These are just wee things though. The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. I think it speaks volumes the restaurant opens at 5pm and it was full by 5:15pm! Thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely return.

La comida era simplemente increíble. Todo eso. Maravillosos sabores y texturas. Los rollos de primavera fueron los mejores que he tenido, aunque es injusto destacarlos realmente porque todo fue genial. El servicio fue genial también. Atento sin ser intrusivo. La comida llegó rápidamente.

We always seek out Thai restaurants when we travel. We found this small Thai restaurant in Edinburgh our third day visiting. It was one of the best Thai restaurants we have eaten at. The owners are so nice and have just moved from Bangkok. We ate at this restaurant 3x before we left. This is a MUST when visiting Edinburgh!!

We are trying to find a decent Cantonese restaurant in Edinburgh. For many year we were loyal customers of the Loon Fung in Edinburgh, until it was acquired and standard of food declined exponentially! So based on reviews we ordered a take out from Cool Jade, which was disappointing! The Lemon Chicken came with a separate sweet and strange tasting lemon sauce, which we all didn’t like. The Satay Chicken looked strange and tasted like it came straight out a bottle. The sauce was quite runny and tasteless. Shiu-Mai was dry and completely unappetising! The service as however friendly and fast. We won’t be visiting this restaurant.
