Sorrento Lounge in Birmingham

My 3-year-old daughter’s favourite cafe. It has an excellently stocked kids kitchen and many books / toys. Food and coffee and decor and atmosphere for adults is also excellent.

I had an excellent time with my friend and I really enjoyed my coffees ☕️ ❤️.

Amazing service. I had really bad toothache when I came in and needed to take my antibiotics with food. The manager sorted some fries for me whilst I was waiting for my food as he could see I was in pain. All the staff were lovely in there. Really engaging Thanks so much ❤️ a little kindness goes a long way Really appreciate it

Great, atmosphere, incredibly fun & friendly staff, the food is great too! The only downside for me is the music is sometimes a bit too loud and can be irritating when you're trying to relax / get some work done / have a conversation with friends.. Other than that - one of my favourite places in Moseley!

Customer service, he looked miserable and not very inviting . The gentlemen before this recent person was very inviting and friendly and we would come back just because of the customer service on its own then the food. The cup smelt like bleach and the coffee was weak . Such as shame the excitement to go there has gone 😕, didn't order food because I did not want to be disappointed any further .

I've been coming here for around 2 months and quite often. It's been my safe space and thats truly because of the staff. They make me feel safe and welcomed all the time. All have great energy and character !! Ive been told to try the other lounges however I come to this one specifically for the staff! I did 10 years in customer service (customers are rude and awful) but this team go beyond customer service. Very quick and efficient service also very patient. I've witnessed rude and impatient and entitled customers and the staff do not deserve that energy or abuse but the staff handle it very well. The staff are amazing to me, treat me very well and with respect, I've even had the chance to engage with the chefs too and they are great. A lot of laughs and kindness which is rare in the world let alone in hospitality. As a social scientist it's a great place for me to come to work on some very tough cases and then to relax and decompress after. So to all staff at this lounge thank you for being great to me in the midst of everyday chaos and intense case work, you make my job easier!!! P.s great coffee!!

Nicely decorated, big windows, child & dog friendly. Food is average. Humus tapas my favorite, don't go for chips as a side dish, it is soaked in garlic butter.

Great venue and the staff are perfect hosts!

The overall ambience and atmosphere of the lounge is amazing, with a dedicated space for children and a book corner, to the sofa sets around the gallery. It is truly the best place to come and sit down, and have a chat with close friends, if not; study sessions within Sorrento Lounge is something I always do! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, providing the right amount of support and service. Food as always has been my top most favourite and will never complain about, do try the eggs royale!

Loungers gonna Lounge. Overpriced but decent enough

Staff is very friendly, and place look amazing drink are good but i won't recommend the food. Small portions and very low quality. If this place rethink on the food menu, it will be a fabulous place to go regularly.

Went there for an event, beautiful venue with lots of deco, a good selection of food and drink, the dog-friendly, not far away from the village car park.

Sorrento Lounge is a hidden gem that effortlessly combines sophistication with a laid-back vibe. It was a busy Saturday early afternoon when we arrived. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that we were well taken care of without being overbearing. The lounge offers an array of food which cater different people with dietary requirements. Kudos to the chefs, the food was exceptional. Overall, Sorrento Lounge offers a perfect blend of great food and an atmosphere that encourages relaxation and conversation. I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back for more!

We went on Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat after a long walk. It was the perfect place to sit down, relax and enjoy good company. The woman who served us was fantastic, she had a really nice vibe and made us feel welcome and relaxed. Food was delicious, good quality food. Love the water section, including a water dispenser for dogs. Decor is great. All in all a great experience.

Quaint hangout for all ages with unusual combinations. Food was tasty and the menu had something for everyone. Staff were attentive and friendly even though we ordered on their app.

Good food nice vibes friendly just nothing special

Spend a few hours in here most weeks. It is a little gem! The atmosphere is relaxed and cool. The staff are all friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and smiley. The menu is spot on and the quality of the food is always very good indeed. I cannot get enough of the smashed avocado brunch!! And our dog Frank loves the snacks supplied. Thanks guys!

Comemos aquí con bastante regularidad, ya que el menú es variado, y debido al espacio abierto es bastante bueno para nuestro perro para etiquetar a lo largo. Pero en nuestra visita más reciente, esta belleza fue la estrella de la noche: - El Cowboy Smash Burger! consiste en dos empanadas de ternera aplastadas con pechuga tirada, queso americano, huevo frito, salsa de mayonesa, cebollas crujientes, jalapeños, lechuga y salsa BBQ de arce. Qué hamburguesa, y una de las mejores que he tenido en mucho tiempo. Siempre he encontrado que sus hamburguesas son buenas, y varían de vez en cuando, así que toma esta antes de que esté fuera del menú!

The food was excellent. The staff are helpful and friendly. And cheerful. The food was excellent still. I thoroughly enjoyed it. This is a really consistent place. The food is really good. Each time we go. It is just as good every time.

We order a lounge breakfast and the triple pancake, the food was really nice. The staff where friendly my only issue was the lady doing the serving was mixing peoples drinks with the same straw she would give the drink to the customers, as I witnessed her do it multiple times while walking, really unhygienic and make me feel sick as I already drank my drink with a straw and watched her go outside and everything, besides that everything was lovely, would come back again and change my straw out myself to be on the safe side.

Had such a good time!! Staff were lovely, really friendly and welcoming, food was delicious, wide selection and very inclusive with a vegan and gluten free menu. The cocktail menu had lots of options and the drinks were equally as delicious as the food. It's a really nice size venue and the toilets are accessible and well maintained.

Es la primera vez que voy a Moseley a comer un domingo. Bonito lugar pintoresco que es familiar y agradable para perros. Fue servido por un Bobby, que era muy servicial y servicial. Además de Ethan y Theo que fueron más allá en su servicio al cliente. La comida era preciosa... mi amigo quería otra hamburguesa de pollo para llevar al salón del cine. ¡Tenía la hamburguesa de tocino con un lado de aros de cebolla! ¡Un 1 golpeando! Mi amigo y yo nos desviaremos de volver a visitar ya que creemos que hemos encontrado nuestro punto de contacto cuando en la zona.

Disabled toilet is still dangerous/broken/not fixed to the wall, has been like this for some time.

Barked at by the waiter about how to order. Had no time and wasn’t interested at all in his customers. Assume he knows how many coffee shops there are in Moseley. I went with my 4 year old son for breakfast. Stood at the bar to order and gave up after waiting a long time and then being almost shouted at by the waiter. won’t be going back ever, and we live over the road. Very disappointed as we generally like this place.

Come here quite often. Food is pretty good, as is the coffee. Veggie and vegan options are great. Staff are nice. Can't complain!

Great place to go for brunch or lunch with friends. Food is super tasty and some more unusual things on the menu too. If it’s nice weather you can sit outside but even if not the massive glazed ceiling makes it feel as if you are sat outside anyway.

The place it's self was nice and bright. We loved the decor and menu choices. We were disappointed with the dry inattentive service . When we got to the bar to make our order the lady who was making drinks ignore us completely. I understand she was making drinks for other tables but simple "hello, will be a moment" would not makes us feel like we are not welcome. If not for the fact that we had a child that needed a quick snack we would have gone somewhere else.

So we ate here yesterday evening on table 31, and after having a great experience on a previous occasion eating here around 5-6 years ago, I decided it would be good place to eat out again. Unfortunately, this was a dining experience to forget. I ordered the Nasi Goreng and when it arrived, it looked incredibly plain, and there was a small bit of red sauce had been squirted on the side of a bowl full of brown rice containing some prawns and chicken, with a dried out egg slapped on top. The meal was tasteless, with no flavour whatsoever, and it really felt like a bowl of plain microwaved rice where someone had just dumped a small amount of chilli sauce on the side. The side dish of broccoli that I ordered, was half cooked, as some of the broccoli, I had to spit out and put to one side as I could not chew it. When I went to look for a member of staff to complain to, unfortunately, no one was availavle at that point, so we just carried on eating, leaving the bits of broccoli to one side. My 85-year-old mother ordered the Smashed Avocado Brunch, which looked very nicely presented upon arrival, but my mum commented, it tasted a bit “colder” than she expected when she started eating it and wasn't that nice. Within an hour of arriving home (we live just 5-6 minutes’ walk away from Sorrento Lounge), unfortunately, my mum developed severe stomach pains followed by a bout of diarrhoea that continued until just past midnight, which was no doubt, as a result of the meal she had consumed at Sorrento Lounge. Overall, this was an extremley poor experience, and the fact that the lounge/restaurant was 75% empty when we arrived, leaves no excuse for the bland tasting food and a dish that left my elderly mother feeling very unwell… Perhaps there has been a change of chief since we last dined here, 5-6 years ago, as back then, the food tasted excellent and flavoursome - but not anymore! We will never return, despite being local. AVOID....

Brilliant place to go for scrummy breakfast, very pleasantly surprised at all the different menu options for food and drinks the decor is brilliant also, highly recommend not cheap but well worth it we thought 👌

Good food, swift and friendly staff.

Ordered the Beyond Meat Cheeseburger (gluten-free option) this evening. Beautifully cooked, juicy and succulent. Friendly, welcoming and attentive customer service. Beautifully decorated restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. My friend ordered the Lounge Burger which he also enjoyed.

The menu looked interesting, but the quality left a lot to be desired. I had Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The chicken in breadcrumbs was dry, whilst the surface was oily. The coleslaw was not well made, rough cut ingredients with little mayonnaise or flavour. The fries were OK, nothing special. My brother and wife both ordered a dish of pulled chicken with (supposedly) truffle, but in reality mushroom. It was served in a round oven proof dish, with a top layer of cubed fried potato. I thought the the grey mess under the potato looked disgusting. When the dishes were served, my brother immediately commented that they had been heated in a microwave! I thought the same was true of my chicken. This explains the fast service, but I would prefer freshly cooked food. The servers were friendly enough although had failed to provide 3 sets of cutlery when I was away at the loo. The method of ordering is by App at the table (you do have the option of going to the bar), but servers were not taking orders at the table. For me the App got caught in a loop when adding drinks, so I had to start the process again. I was amazed that an option to add a tip came up at the point of payment before any food or service had been provided! How crazy is that - a tip is a reward to acknowledge good food and service! I expected much better quality of food and certainly not dishes heated (reheated?) In a microwave. Very dissapointing.

Listen to me THERE FOOD IS FROM GOD I don't know what God's are serving in the kitchen but it's on point . We try and have different things from the menu in good time and it's always done perfect , we eat around and still this place serves hot and delicious food . One thing we both do is we always get 2 pots of tea and sit in the corner by the window. The people in there are lovely and peaceful so yes I highly recommend here

I enjoyed a very good latte and chocolate brownie for £6.80 ish. Very nice decor as you would expect from this brand. Pleasant and helpful service. 😌

Its a hidden treasure on the Alcester Road - Moseley High Street. The food is fantastic, service is spot on , the ambience and seating is very engaging and welcoming. The menu has a very pan Asian + Greek/Persian + English combo. There are deals on certain days and Happy Hours. Their best dish : Narsi Goreng! - Spicy & So malay!!!! You can find parking on the side roads in the evening.

Part of the Lounge group (including Cinco Lounge) this Sorrento Lounge follows the same (winning) formula. Really tasty burger. Decent salads & a good selection of drinks. Reasonable value for money.

Great breakfast and coffee nice vibe in the place. Child friendly too. Prices were not too bad, portion sizes very filling.

Very nice atmosphere, a bit quirky, with comfy sofas and armchairs as well as dining tables and chairs. A lot to look at in terms of pictures and dekor. A mixed crowd of all ages which is nice to see. The service is attentive and friendly. The food was good, smallish portions, but lacked a bit of flavour.

The food here is good, and environment is very cozy. Service could be better.

Gorgeous coffee place and restaurant. It's filled with gorgeous artwork and quirky furniture all over. Feels like stepping back in time a bit. I ordered a coffee which was good. Service was brilliant, it is accessible with accessible toilets. Food is reasonably priced. There is outdoor seating which is great in the summer. In the heart of moseley so lots of people watching to be done and shops to explore after. Can't fault it!

This was a real a delight. It’s a lounge bar so you know what you’re getting. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice varied food and whatever drink you desire. You cannot go wrong.

Last time I visited I ordered a vegan burger with chips and I also had a coffee. The other person with me ordered a vegan breakfast and the portion size difference was laughable in fact it did get laughed at. Never seen such a small portion of chips and burger with a tiny bit of coleslaw. Seriously overpriced, portions have decreased over time but the food is not better quality. Coffee was overpriced for what it was in terms of portion size and nothing to rave about. After this I haven’t gone back since as it’s nothing special.

Big up Sorrento Lounge, food was amazing, great service from the staff, nice atmosphere, decent selection of drinks, try the Miami Brunch no words other than just wow.. I would recommend this place to anyone, my new favourite spot in Birmingham will definitely be back. Straight up 10/10 many thanks ✌🏽

Although I work in Moseley I have never really had the chance to get into Sorrento, though after visiting Desco in Shirley I came for dinner and was really, really impressed. Delicious food served with a smile from what is clearly a very close-knit team. Nice to see that they're clearly all very good friends and can have a laugh and a joke with each other and the customers. I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was beautifully cooked. Enter as strangers, etc...

One of the best of these lounges with a busy friendly atmosphere and lovely team. Service is good and the food and drinks at this one have always been good for me. Great option with children and dogs right in the middle of Moseley

Top top food, befuddled mishy-mashy decor.

Not bad, wouldn't recommend. First time visiting for breakfast/brunch and I was left feeling a little disappointed, mainly due to the standard of food being served. Service wasn't too bad but I think the server was a little confused when we asked for one of the breakfast items to be swapped for a couple of pieces of toast (we got charged extra for a piece of toast, insane). Not only that but my food order was completely wrong, I ordered the mezze option (hummus, beetroot red onion) and got served a salad instead (because of this, I got charged £14 instead of a £4 dish). The full English breakfasts were also expensive and 80% of it was burnt. Tea was great as well as the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant. Overall thoughts: Come on guys, get it together!

The surcharge for oat milk or Soya milk has gone up now in a year from 25p to 80p. It's just not acceptable and there are plenty of cafés who don't discriminate against people who are choosing healthier, kinder lifestyles.. They also charge £2 for a soda and cordial, although the cordial is 80p singularly. Its a shame, its a great room, but unfortunately it's also filled with awful paintings. I'm not sure how people ever eat next to some of them....

Chefs could do better & this place would be simply amazing because the front of house staff are very good. I came today with friends. Being a chef I know a thing or two about food! Although my 2 friends said their food was good my chicken souvlaki was not actually cooked as souvlaki & was served on top of soggy flat bread. Just passable food. I mentioned this to the waitress so the chefs could do better for the next person. We ordered dessert, the ice cream sundae, this was poorly presented & had no substance in the glass! Where where the ingredients? Hidden by canned whipped cream. I was now unhappy so complained to the waitress who had the dessert remade. It came out better a second time! Are the chefs under qualified or just lazy?? Pull your socks up & help make this place great. Your letting your front of house colleagues down. 3 stars is all this place is worth at the moment.
