Acogí una cena de negocios aquí por recomendación de un conocido, y fui con expectativas razonables y de buen humor. Era bastante temprano en una tranquila noche de lunes y normalmente uno podría hacer concesiones para eso, especialmente si es un restaurante informal. Had a good meal here. Excellent chateaubriand and sirloin cuts, pepper sauce a bit tame, side dishes good. Service very friendly, but a bit slow.

Always visit Sophie’s when in London. My hubby looks forward to it! He always gets ribs which he says are the best he’s had anywhere! Always good food and great service

Friends from Houston invited me for dinner hear and it was great night out from Thousand island wedge salad to steaks you will not be disappointed

Great locale, superb food and service. This restaurant deserves a spot in the top 5 steakhouses of LOndon. It was very bust Sat afer a matinee show . The staff are fast and professional, food and drinks are top nonesuch

This spacious casual restaurant is situated in the popular Covent Garden area which is on the eastern side of the West End Theatre District in London.It's pretty much first come first serve as this busy place doesn't take reservations for smaller groups but we were able to get in after the theatre crowd had left.We were initially going to order the prime rib until we found out that it's only available on Sunday's and, instead, shared a nice piece of chateaubriand w/ steak frites & béarnaise sauce.It turned out to be a great choice as the tender fillet was cooked to perfection and also left enough room to enjoy the very tasty berry mess for dessert.We liked the lively atmosphere and enjoyed the dining experience as the service was really friendly and attentive as well.

Esta fue nuestra tercera visita a Sophie's Steakhouse en diferentes visitas a Londres. Le pregunté sobre el servidor de la pescado y patatas fritas, y ella me aseguró que era un plato grande y precioso. Ella tenía razón! El filete de bacalao tomó hasta la mitad de mi plato, las patatas fritas y tomó la otra mitad - que no podía terminar mi filete, era tan delicioso! Prueba de pescado y patatas fritas de Sophie!

Vine aquí como nuestra primera opción restaurante estaba lleno. Estamos contentos de que era. Preciosa decoración interior y teníamos una hamburguesa y pastel de pescado y patatas fritas. Oferta antes del teatro eran dos campos de un menú por 15 libras - muy razonable para el centro de Londres. La hamburguesa era aparentemente gran, patatas fritas eran muy buenas y pastel de pescado era encantadora, excepto que era un poco demasiado eneldo en la salsa para mi gusto.

The food here was amazing i had a fillet steak which was cooked to perfection the staff were all so friendly i had a lovely cocktail which was £9 i thought this was reasonable considering it was in london overall i would recommend

We were 3 friends having dinner at Sophie's - I had never been before so had no idea what to expect at all. First impressions walking in were very positive: it is light and airy and not overly packed. It's always a shame when a restaurant has squeezed in as many tables as possible and you end up having to overhear numerous conversations. Not at Sophie's! Service (Hefe) was attentive, but he was clearly a busy man, but had everything under control. We were never kpt waiting inordinately long, or ignored. Great so far! Then the food - well, what a wonderful surprise. My friend's onion rings were the BEST I HAVE EVER EATEN! I nicked a few as I do love onion ring, but so frequently find myself disappointed as either the onion is too strong and leathery or the batter is soggy or tasteless. But these were divine. I would go back simply to order them again.My proper main - the tuna steak - was also spot on. Really, really good. I am running out of superlatives now. I also meant to say that our starter of calamares was tip top too. (I was carried away about telling you about the onion rings) .The hummus starter was a little small, I thought, for the £5 charge. Should have been twice the size methinks. Anyway, my friends also deemed their dishes of peppered steak salad and the chicken and avocado salad very good indeed.Would I go back? In a jiffy.

We were at Sophie's on Sunday for lunch with family. Service was friendly and efficient. Food excellent as always, three of us had the steak frites, with the best béarnaise ever, and the garlic green beans. The tuna steak looked good, and the kids' roast dinner went down well with the biggest Yorkshire and crispy roast potatoes, and ice cream cone for dessert.A couple of glasses of Picpoul, zinfandel and beer too, excellent value for Covent Garden.

Good wine with quick service.Just learned this Sophie's in Covent Garden will close 4 June 2017.What a shame...very near Lyceum Theatre.

Called in for a pre theatre cocktail , I asked for a gin based one , as the menu was limited ,the bartender made me one to suit , gin, raspberry coulis , Cointreau & lemon juice ... it was one of the best cocktails I've had .We decided to go back for a meal, after the show and had the two course set menu . Plenty of choice , the fish pie was the best I've eaten , truly home made . The creme brûlée was also sublime and home made , with a glass of decent rose for £5 , you can't go wrong . Lovely staff ,very welcoming & helpful , just go try it !

Comfortable, relaxed restaurant with friendly staff.Attended on Sunday afternoon so the Sunday menu was also available.I chose roast beef with an enormous Yorkshire pudding and we also had a sirloin and T-Bone from the a la carte menu. Staff ensured each was cooked to our tastes and all 3 were delicious. The veg and potatoes that accompanied the roast were also wonderful. My only criticism was the green salad seemed little more than some lettuce leaves.As well as a selection of wines there was a good selection of hoppy draft beers which I felt obliged to try. Not disappointed!Be aware of a 12.5% service charge included in the bill.Overall though, an excellent beef experience bordering on an overdose.

Lovely lunch at this great venue, burger was delicious and exactly how I wanted it cooked. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back and recommend to friends

Me an my partner decided to go here on a random one on a Saturday evening. Loved the vibe as soon as I walked in. Low light chilled very busy but the setting was just right. Waited 20 mins for a table which we were happy about as we thought it would be much longer for a Saturday. From start to finish the food was just top notch. Normally you find when a restaurant is as busy as this was the food can be hit or miss but it wasn't it was gorgeous. The service was really good to... while you wait to order they give you thin sliced bits of salami which I loved and free water for your table. Everything was to perfection. And the orange cheesecake at the end just topped it off. It's a pretty cool restaurant and can't say one bad word about it. For the 2 of us with starters main drinks and we shared the dessert we paid £130 But when the food is as good as it was the price is not even a problem. Only thing I have to say is the cocktail menu was a bit dead, nothing was grabbing my attention I went there hoping for a pornstar martini but they didn't do them.

We hosted a family funeral at this restaurant recently. The staff were amazing in the way they looked after us, the food was fantastic, it was brought out swiftly and our guests were well fed. We were just over 100 and the space given felt perfect for this size. The day was really made easy by the staff.Thank you

First time visiting and was very impressed. Great cocktails, really friendly and helpful staff. I am not a steak fan so had chicken, bacon and avocado salad which was huge and soooo nice.We went a Sunday evening around 8.30pm and didn't have to book as we have tried a few times and decided against it due to the waiting time.One of my friends has very specific dietary requirements and they were amazing dealing with it and she had plenty options.

We highly recommend a meal at Sophie's steakhouse. We had prebooked our table for 4 through trip advisor for Sunday at noon. We were the 1st customers of the day but the restaurant quickly filled up. On a breezy day I would suggest being seated away from the main door. Food was fantastic, cooked to our liking and plenty of it. I had the Tuna steak, generous piece of fish. We all had something different and came away fully satisfied. Great value for money and lovely service. Thank you from. Sam and family xx

We called in here by chance and were very lucky to get a table. The atmosphere was fantastic and we were served by a very lovely Sarah! We both had the fish pie and I can honestly say it was the nicest fish pie we have eaten. The portion was huge and the pieces of fish were huge too! We really enjoyed our meal and we weren't rushed at all even though the restaurant was very busy. Will definitely return when we are back in London and would definitely recommend this restaurant for a lovely meal!

Me and my partner needed somewhere to eat past 10pm.Found this place on the Internet and gave it a go.We had a very nice waiter. Informed us on the menu choices well.For a starter we had hummus. The hummus came with toast, which was burnt!We was informed the steak we ordered would take 20 minutes, it came in that time.We chose the steak to share. With baked sweet potato, beef dripping chips and garlic fine beans.The steak was one of the best I've had. Literally melted on my tongue. Amazing.The baked sweet potato was great too, so many places just do sweet potato fries so it was nice to have a slightly different take on it.The chips were just normal.But I must stress, AMAZING STEAK!!!!Really nice vibe in the place too.

Always my go to for a warm welcome and great food after most restaurants have closed. I always have a steak, in some form or another, last night it was in the salad. Tasty filet steak, cooked rare, served over fresh leaves and warm tomato dressing. All post show at 10.30pm! Simply great! Would love to see your steak frites available after hours though, its always an absolute hit! Thanks again!

Visited during the bank holiday weekend, great service, amazing steak!! Pricey but don't mind paying if the food is tasty, which it was. Best steak me and my partner have ever had. Thanks for a lovely night, great atmosphere and fast service.

First time was better this time went for the chateaubriand really was not what I had had before, the first time I had ribs great this time not so was over cooked and for 60 odd it was not worth it, would go again but would keep it simple.

The food was good, the location excellent. Service was not the best although reasonable. Good choice for a quick lunch.

Ottima steakhouse a due passi da Covent Garden, ambiente moderno e gradevole adatto sia per coppie sia per famiglie o gruppi, simpatiche le luci soffuse (anche un po' troppo... ho visto gente usare il flash del telefonino per leggere il menù) su ogni tavolo.Lo abbiamo provato a cena con la famiglia, come starter abbiamo preso delle spicy beef croquettes (ottime polpettine speziate di cui abbiamo fatto il bis), e poi un paio di ribeye e una sirloin: carne saporita e cottura ineccepibile.Da tornarci.

Excellent and quick service for such a busy restaurant. Fantastic steak cooked just to my liking of medium rare and so succulent. Very good value for money. We all enjoyed our visit and I will certainly be back very soon.

We go to this restaurant again and again for several reasons : the food is great - recently I had burger which is delicious and the quantity is very satisfied and also the sweets are very good as well , the atmosphere is amazing , we find easily a table and the service is very very good .

Abbiamo ordinato 2 hamburger classic e un doppio cheeseburger + patate fritte e insalata. Veramente ottimo, carne fresca e deliziosa accompagnata da una salsa barbecue squisita. Il conto era nella norma £60. Abbiamo lasciato la mancia ad una simpaticissima e molto cordiale cameriera. Consigliato. I'll be back for sure

Amazing whole rack of ribs, falling off the bone. Great service, even with a full restaurant. Brilliant atmosphere, can get a bit noisy when busy.

We were a group of 9 from Ireland. We needed to have a quick meal before a show. It is a very nice restaurant and we all would have loved to have more time there. The food is excellent. The decor is interesting. It's big and airy and it's just perfect.

My friend and I visited after seeing a matinee of 42nd street at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.. Its very close to several theatre shows including The Lion King and Mama Mia.We hadn't booked but there was plenty of room. Very good service and a good choice. My friend and I have dietary requirements which were met with understanding and no difficulties.We had chargrilled chicken breast which was very moist. I loved the mashed potato and my friend ate all of her French fries as they were so good. We shared a pot of garlic green beans cooked to perfection. Considering it is a London restaurant we thought the price was reasonable. We both had a couple of glasses of wine which does reflect London prices.A very good find and I would go there again.If you like steak then this is the place for you.

Nous nous y sommes rendus après avoir assisté à une représentation au théâtre. Malgré l'heure plus tardive (plus de 22h). Nous avons pu manger normalement. Le filet de boeuf et le steak de thon étaient bon et le prix correct. Le restaurant fait aussi "bar", ce qui donne une certaine ambiance à l'endroit.

Booked tickets for a show with a pre show meal,The restaurant was busy but we were shown our table strainght away, the service was excellent ,The grilled steak i had was perfectly cooked, Tender and the taste was wonderful,and portion size just right,i will definitely be going back as the rest of the menu looks FAB

Went there with a big group of friends. Nice atmosphere, crowded and friendly staff. 6 of 8 steaks we had were perfect , the other 2 was returned TWICE, before it was accepted. First time too well done, second time cold inside. We didn't have to pay for those two dishes and an extra bottle of wine free of charge was the compensation. It felt ok, however the appetite disappears a little waiting for the food that long.

Went to see kink boots and a meal at Sophie's was included in tickets .....we got to restaurant at 5 pm and glad as it quickly filled up ....our order was taken and meal served in normal good timing....the waiter who served our table was very efficient and was at hand if anything extra was needed. Their BBQ sauce was 'to die for' The theatre menu was adequate and just enough for a pre theatre meal. Their mains off the full menu looked awesome I had a classic burger and creme brulé .....too good !! Their cocktails being severed looked very interesting Will return for a meal.

Wow this pre-theatre deal is not only cheap but excellent value for money, the food was delicious, we had the 3 courses, all served quickly and hot. Service was very welcoming, nice complimentary salami on table for perusing menu with, cocktails were of a good size for the price, martini £12, Mojito £11, both delicious. Steak of excellent quality and cooked perfectly to requests. Fries could be a tad crispier but this just personal preference. Chocolate mousses' to finish were rich and divine. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and would love to go back if we see another show. Go early! It got busy very quickly!!

Cannot visit London and not visit Sophie's Steakhouse. Just a short walk through Covent Garden and you are here. Gorgeous food. If you love steak, it's a must. We didn't have time for a sweet as we were going out so we ordered cheesecake to go and it was delicious. Lovely staff and wonderful food. Visit their website for some great money saving tips!

Simply amazing meal, bar/waiting staff were welcoming, helpful and knew the products very well. The Chateaubriand steak was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Don't visit Covent Garden without looking up Sophie's Steakhouse.

Visited last night before attending the theatre with a friend. We were worried we would have to wait for a table but on arrival at 5pm we were directed straight to a table. Service was good, our waiter was interested in our day and theatre visit, which we found rare in London. We had 3 courses and both agreed that all courses were delicious. We both had the steak frites which was large for the £10 charge. Highly recommend.

Tim our waiter was brilliant.My burger was simply brilliant.Very knowledgeable barman.All food was fantastic, lovely cool atmosphere, busy but just great and not too expensive.Lovely kids menu- mine both had steak-frites which were brilliant.and only 30 seconds walk to the theatre to see the Lion king!Well done team Sophie!

There is a lot going on at this restaurant but in the end it all seems to work. Strolled by on an early Saturday evening to be confronted by a wait list. No problem I say, just give me a reservation for 7pm. Wait, what, you don’t take reservations? Then I guess I will jump on that list somewhere at the bottom. Go wait in the bar she says so I shuffle off to the crowd standing at the bar and actually manage to step away with a beer. Now what, as I am standing around thinking, wow, this is a really big place, how do you know when a table is ready. No pager, no take-a-number number. I was starting to worry. But after a short wait, here comes the hostess from the front desk telling me it is time to be seated. Several things come to mind, like how does she recognize everyone well enough to come find you in a crowd of people. A very impressive performance.All jesting aside, Sophie’s is a busy place but they seem to have it under control. Excellent steak and excellent service. Was shocked at how fast the food came out. A bustling atmosphere, definitely not stodgy.

We wanted a quick meal before the theatre, Sophies fitted the bill, a bit busy for a country boy visiting the city but the service was good and I have never paid so much for a steak !

I visited with my partner for a pre-theatre meal. The restaurant was popular and there was a wait, but this was handled well by the staff. We were given a number and told our number would be displayed on a board once our table was ready - this worked well. While we waited, I ordered a standard glass of white wine and a diet coke - costing £10.25!!! We both ordered an 8oz steak. When it arrived it came with a small cup of thin cut chips with the peel still on the ends and approximated 20ml of bernaise sauce - nothing else, not even a bit of salad or veg..As each meal cost £29, this was shockingly stingy even for London prices. The steak, to be fair, was well cooked - the chips were average and a small portion. I was annoyed at the price, but thought hey it is threatre land and would not be a regular visit. HOWEVER! when the bill arrived a £12.5% service charge had been added, without even asking us. At no point was this discussed with us. We would have had to have created an uncomfortable scene to have it removed. Surely, at these prices the restaurant owners could pay their staff a decent wage instead of passing this on to their already ripped-off customers. My advise eat somewhere else. The food does not justify the cost of dining here.

This is a large bustling restaurant whose interior size is deceptive. It has the decor of exposed pipework, factory lighting etc which some would call modern, others, unfinished. So - not the venue for quiet intimate dining. Although there were expensive aged steaks on display near the kitchen I would stick to the pre theatre menu (before 7pm) as the variety and quality are fine and very good value. Service was unhurried and friendly and the tip goes to the team - what's not to like!

Arrived early and were seated on a lovely table by attentive waiter, talked through the menu which was a good variety and so reasonable.I had the burger and it was melt in the mouth gorgeous, the rest of our party had a mix of steaks and main and all looked very nice and everyone happy. Only downfall was it took a really long time for the waiting staff to bring the bill to us but it had just started to get really busy so it's understandableDefinitely the best option on the theatre menu front too!!

We came across this restaurant by chance after a nice evening stroll into Central London, we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait as both the food & customer service were of a very high standard.

Visited Sophie's twice within 3 weeks. The first trip was on the recommendation of someone who eats here all the time. The second trip was a coincidence as booked by another friend without the knowledge of my first visit. I have to say, on both occasions, the meal and service were faultless and very reasonably priced. Despite the place being packed, the service was quick and friendly. The food was excellent!!! I was with a party of 12 on the second trip and without exception everyone enjoyed their meals!! DEFINITELY worth a visit.

Dropped in after watching an evening show. Was told there would be a 20 minute wait but a table for 2 became available within a very few minutes. Before we'd managed to order drinks at the bar. Service was swift, polite and professional but still friendly. The wait for food was quite short although it did take a while to get the bill. Not because the waiter took long getting it but because he was busy serving other customers when we were ready to ask for it. All in all, a pleasant visit and will definitely be returning after another show.

Had a fab meal with family(teenagers) while staying nearby ,fantastic burgers and steaks ,staff very friendly and helpful. Recommended by my nephew who works in the locality.

Went the with my friend for lunch. They have good quality of meat. Restaurant are huge and very clean. I like the decorations especially the table with natural wood style.

Si je n'ai rien à redire sur l’accueil, la salle et le service je suis très mécontent de ce que fait subir ce restaurant à sa viande !Tous deux amateurs de bonne viande, ma femme et moi avons pris le "Black Angus Burger" à 17£ et là ce fut la grosse déception :- Burger très sec sans aucune sauce (moutarde et ketchup en pots sur la table).- Viande un peu trop cuite (pourtant demandée bleue)- Et surtout steak mélangé à une telle quantité d'ail que le goût de la viande n'était plus perceptible, n'importe quel burger Mc Do aurait été plus gouteux c'est dire ... - Frites moles, mal taillées, mal épluchées, beaucoup de taches noires (yeux).Adresse est à éviter si comme nous vous aimez la bonne viande et les cuisiniers qui la respecte et savent la travailler.

I am pretty sure one of our party got food poisoning from eating here at the weekend. Pre theatre menu and she ordered beef bourgoigne. She reported that the food was so so, but ate it. By 2 in the morning she was throwing up. I should add that I ate the same as her the rest of the day, except for this meal, and she does not drink alcohol, so that played no part in her vomiting 3 times during the night.

We were given a voucher for Sophie's as part of a theatre ticket. We were a bit dubious from the outside due to roadworks everywhere and it didn't look inviting. However, once through the door it was lovely. The staff were amazing and very attentive. We ordered from the set menu (as per our voucher) so didn't expect too much. The food arrived very hot and a huge portion which tasted amazing. Great desserts as well. The fore ribs of beef were on display in a see through fridge and they looked so good that we will be returning to sample the larger menu. If you like aged beef you will love this place.

I was in London for the weekend of my birthday and got an email from Sophie's Steakhouse offering a bottle of Verve Cliquot Champagne when 4 people dined. There was no way I was going to miss that and sure enough I got it. Service was good. Food was served very quickly but it's that type of place.. burger was lovely and cooked to my preference, my husband loved the ribs. If you like burgers/meat/steak this is the place to visit.

Absolutely the best fillet steak I've ever eaten. Can't wait to come back to London to visit this place again.

My husband and I ate here before going to the Royal Opera House just up the road. Seated very promptly and we given a complimentary small plate of sliced salami and a bottle of water. Both very welcome. I ordered a cocktail which was delicious, and both of us had the steak frites which was cooked perfectly for us, medium rare so lovely and pink in the middle. At £10 this was excellent value. Service is attentive, friendly and quick which is exactly what you want pre theatre. Love it here and will be back.

Decor, atmosphere and service no issues, but the food...oh the food! Yeuch!We were being taken out so when the meal was served i really didn't want to complain or make a scene.The menu is about as creative as a tin of pilchards! Though i do love a good burger, I was asked whether i wanted my burger pink or cooked through, i said cooked through, but in actual fact it was burnt to a crisp, it was dry and tough, they kindly added a fried egg which was not the norm but my request was accommodated. They need to be congratulated that they've found a method by which they can fry an egg so that it was actually tougher than the burger! That old adage, couldn't even cook an egg comes to mind. Now before you say serves you right for having a burger cooked through, another of our party requested his pink and his was also as dry and as tough as mine.......The fries were dry and cool and flavourless, my wife had a peppered steak salad which was just a pile of green leaves with a few bits of steak scattered across. One really good thing.....i opted to take the single patty burger rather than the double which was just aswell...lucky escape i say...but then again i could always have resoled my shoes! Certainly a case of the emperors new clothes...plenty of better restaurants in Covent Garden that don't just trade on their name.

My boyfriend took me to this restaurant for my birthday as I'm a big steak fan. One thing I would recommend is ALWAYS book as it was extremely busy when we arrived around 5pm (luckily he had booked). The vibe when you walk in is very warm and friendly, and the interior is gorgeous! We were seen to absolute straight away, by a very friendly waitress. When our food arrived the steak was cooked to perfection - I'm a medium rare/medium fan and they did not disappoint. Even the chips on the side were beautifully presented! Really easy to access as it's in Covent Garden, and perfect to go to if say you're going to theatre afterwards/before! Would highly recommend.

So I first came across Sophie's in January when my mum and I were looking for a quick eat before a show. We only had an hour, we popped in anyway we were told there was a 20 minute wait and I said we will have to leave it then as we need to be out in an hour. He quickly said he will try his best and we were sat in a few minutes. I have worked in a restaurant so I know they want to turn tables quick so it worked out well for both of us. The waitress was over in seconds and said she knows we are in a rush, we ordered straight away and with enough time for starters. The pork croquettes for starter are delicious. We both had fillet steak, it was melting in our mouths, good size portion of chips (amazing) and salad. Both came with the steak not like these other steak restaurants where you pay £20-£30 for a steak and have to add on sides costing up to a fiver which is such a rip off! Such a perfect meal and out the door with time to spare.My second time more recently was last week, we were sat within 15 minutes, the food was exceptional, my fiance and I shared the Chateaubriand... oh my god. it was perfect, it was £68 and there was more than enough and cooked perfectly. I also love the decor in the restaurant and the staff are always so attentive and friendly! We had a lovely either aussie or NZ lady with tattoos and she was great! Can't wait for my next visit :)

They know meat, they have the proper cuts, it served properly and it is very tasty. For me the only problem was the noise. It was not full but still it was difficult to have a conversation. Very recommended for the meat quality.

Have been many many times now. So easy to wander in without a reservation, get a drink at the bar and then enjoy excellent food and service :)

A busy restaurant at 6pm on a Saturday night after a matinee. Operate a 'take a number' waiting system which worked well for our party of 5 - I think we had to wait at the bar for about 20 minutes. Service and food were very good - only let down by finding part of a blue elastic band in a salad. We weren't particularly sure that the £3 knocked off the £135 bill was very much recompense for a near miss incident, but........they did however say sorry. Otherwise, all party pleased with their meals and we would still recommend it!

Sophie's SteakhouseI don't know really, on the plus side, we went because the served late and would take kids as part of a large party (20). It's also reasonably priced. They make a good dry martini. The food is ok, but I ordered fish and it's a steakhouse, so the fact that it didn't taste fantastically fresh may have been my fault for ordering it. That said everyone who ordered burgers or steak were more than happy, chuffed actually.The table was ready on time and waiter service was good. Whilst drinking at the bar, the tenders did that thing where they refuse to acknowledge your presence when you are trying to order, I don't like that.Ambience was ok, but once seated it was too dark to read the menus without the aid of an iPhone torch app. (other phones and tablets are available).All in all it was what it was. It was ok and the good points outweighed the bad.

This was my 3rd time at Sophie's and was a bit concerned with a group of 6 that we couldn't make reservations but a quick drink in the bar and we had a perfect table. Waitress was excellent and good came out fast. Took a hiatus from being vegan and had tenderloin and fries and it was perfect. My daughter ordered salad but because she was vegan they also roasted her a sweet potato on their own to make her feel she had a meal. It was very sweet. All the meals were perfect, decent wine and amazing desserts (I started making Sticky Toffee pudding after my husband had it here a few years before). A dinner for 6 with drinks and appetizers was 200 pounds so also not ridiculous prices either. I love Sophie's and will visit every time I am in London. Thanks for another memorable dinner and evening!

We visited before going to see the Lion King in the Lyceum Theatre.We didn't book a table but this wasn't an issue and we were given a table straight away.Waiter was extremely pleasant and very efficient. We ordered a burger, and a sirloin steak which were excellent.Prices:Sirloin Steak, Burger, 2 x G&T, Glass of Red Wine and a Beer came to £83.81, I thought this was a good price for where we were and for great service.I would definately recommend.

I went together with a group of 20 to Sophie's Steakhouse. The staff helped us to our seates quite quickly and offered a quick introduction to the menu and the consept. The food came quick and tasted excellent. The entire group was happy. Steaks, spare ribs and hamburgers to our full satisfaction. Will definitely go here again.

A Sophie's regular, we often return after a holiday as a nice segway between holiday & returning to work. On this occasion we had our 1 year old & his godmother in tow. The food & cocktails were excellent and the service was amazing - kudos to Akari as not only was she amazingly attentive with helping our little one but was the most professional waitress I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. If I was running Sophie's I'd make Akari the head of training as she's truly an asset.Looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks.

Whenever we're in Covent Garden area, this is our main go-to meeting place with friends for drinks and dinner. Fabulous attentive staff, a wonderful vibe ... and the food is always spot-on. Burgers and ribs tend to be our go-to-favourites.

My friend and i attended last Saturday and had a lovely late afternoon meal. Our waiter, Daniel, was so helpful and attentive, we really couldnt have asked for more. Towards the end of our meal, Daniel informed us that his shift was over and someone else would take over. The new gentleman cam over and was rude and uninterested. We ordered coffees from him and when my friend asked for Soya milk, he smirked and said "we don't do that here". I simply said "oh that surprises me". Well, he literally bit my head of asking what i meant. I just explained that most places cater for dietary requirements now and i was surprised but that was all and it wasnt an issue. He then asked if we wanted to him to go out and buy the milk from the shop for us??? I mean, we literally didnt have an issue but he was behaving as if we were making a complaint. Even if we were, he certainly wasnt dealing with us appropriately. He then said if we had an allergy the only way to make it dairy free is to have no milk. I found him sarcastic and unnecessarily rude. It's like saying to a coeliac that they can have gluten free by just not having the bread in a sandwich. Considering there really wasnt an issue, he has certainly made it one and unfortunately, it left a bad taste in our mouths upon leaving. I certainly hope the hefty tip we did leave went to Daniel as we had promised him and not to the rude waiter that obviously rides on his colleagues hard work.

Hadde bestilt bord. Ankom presis, men ble vist i baren - mersalg for da det var mange ledige bord. Helt greit for oss her ble undertegnende dusjet av barkeeper. Det var kun rent vann, og det skal jeg være glad for! Maten kom om sen. 4kjøpte Chateaubriand 2 kjøpte fish and chips. Kjøttet var greit i smak og ok mørt server med litt kald bernaisesaus !? De var det! Ingen opplevelsefisken som ble servert var gammel, ganske lenge siden den hadde sett sjøen! Det ble klaget på fisken til servitør og det var det siste vi såg av den servitøren. Vi gikk - !

We were in London to see Dreamgirls matinee performance on the Saturday and came to Sophie's after the performance. Not able to book but only took 15 mins to get seated, and we had a drink at the bar whilst we waited. Calamari to start which came with a delicious garlic mayonnaise. For mains I had the double cheese burger and my partner had the ribs - both extremely tasty and good portion sizes. Shared the Kit Kat cheesecake which was nicer than it sounds, nice and light! Very impressed and topped off what was great trip to London!

This was my second time at this restaurant and I had ordered the cote de boeuf. It an excellent choice as it was everything I wanted on a steak. They also have a fantastic homemade sauce which reminds me a lot of the one that Peter Luger steakhouse has in New York. The waitress that helped us was very nice, the ambiance of the place was also excellent. We went there with my 2 year old son who was also accommodated. If I am ever again in London, I will definitely have a renewed rendezvous with their cote de boeuf. One last note, it is not the cheapest of places to eat but I would visit again.

Booked tickets for the theatre, walking around Thea Rae looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled across Sophie's, very glad we did. Fantastic meal very different settings (large glass fridge with cuts of meat hanging in it) on show to all. Great service good quality would definitely recommend this place and will be going back next time in London
