We went here for a quick stop…only wanted something light and simple we ordered 2 lentil soups and an aubergine dish It’s recommend for a nice simple lunch or dinner

We were looking for a quick lunch on Christmas Day. Lokkanta Team was very welcoming, service was quick and efficient.Food was great and we all enjoyed our dishes from starter to deserts. If only one down side we were offered a bread top up and the second bacth was not as fresh as the first one. Not a killer but noticeable. If we are back in this area I am sure to give another go, would advise everyone avise.

We ordered through Uber Eats and the lahmacun and pide were very, very tasty. Ellerinize sağlık.

This was a perfect experience for me. Food was brilliant (would ABSOLUTELY recommend taking a Lamb Shish & a Baklava). Service was fast - took about 4-5 minutes after taking the order & (at present) is extremely underrated. It was more than money worth for the portion I got. 10/10. If you go to Queensway, go here. You won’t be disappointed…

It was very clean and delicious. It was really interesting for me to bring the kebab food as quickly as possible and the flavors were excellent with fresh bread.💥💥💥🙏🙏🙏

Since the first day it opened i had the chance to dine in Lokkanta, I used to live nearby this restaurant, and after two years, I visited again. Their flavors are absolutely amazing, and they’ve elevated them even further. I congratulate Lokkanta restaurant once again— their kebabs are exceptional, and their mezes are simply outstanding!

Very disappointed. I ordered two items from this restaurant this evening on Deliveroo - French fries and pide. The pide did not arrive at all, and the French fries arrived cold. Avoid.

Had a lovely time yesterday celebrating my mums 60th Birthday. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Helped me set up my decorations and cleared away our extra rubbish. The food was fantastic! Fresh, delicious and great portion sizes. Can’t wait to go back :)

Superb lahmacuns, brilliant service. We bumped into this place by pure chance. It is not so hard to smile and reminisce one’s youth seeing the drawings of Turkish cinema and theatre’s big names all around on its walls. It’s not just that it makes one smile but makes you want to walk in and enquire. And that we did. Being in a rush, I ordered two takeout lahmacuns. Upon coming home I was pleasantly surprised 2 delicious, not-economical with toppings and sides either. Definitely recommend Lokkanta and we’ll return to try other dishes too.

Update from Dec. 2024: we returned to the restaurant after 6.5 years. The food was still good. We ordered lamb ribs, lamb shish, sea bass and falafel. All were tasty. Original review from June 2018: This little Turkish restaurant is an amazing find. We ordered Platter 2 which is a sampler of the meats upon the recommendation of Abdul. The ribs were fantastic as were the minced lamb. The chicken wings were delicious. We left very little food on the table. We readily recommended this place to another table a few days later when we were eating at an Indian restaurant.

Food is ok, but wouldn’t come back here.

The warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly service make dining here a true pleasure. Highly recommended for a cozy and delicious Turkish meal!

We had the platter for 2. Great food, tasty, the meat was hot and cooked to perfection. Lovely art work around the restaurant, lovely staff, good service and vibrant, light atmosphere.

Overall, not worth the money. Let.me start by stating that I am commenting on their delivery. The food was poorly prepared. Their Adana kebab was fatty, and the chips that came with it soggy. The lehmatzoun was rather bready with not enough minced meat and was not spicy as adverstised. I was disappointed and would not recommend it.

I had a peaceful and delightful meal. I kept it simple - lamb shish with a salad. No bulghur, rice, or bread because I avoid carbs. So, my photo is sparse but those are included. Service was quick to order and receive my sparkling water. The lamb was cooked-to-order. Tasty, too. The salad was fresh and the dressing quite delightful.

I was really happy that there was a Turkish restaurant, but never again. The service was standing on its head the whole time and looking, the food was okay but the platter costing £22 wasn't enough for one person.

This restaurant is really cheaters people, on Monday 26/08/2024 i have ordered lamb kebab takeaway , when i went home i found out, instead they gave me a donor kebab , i really don’t recommend anyone to go there, cheaters people are always stealing i went back to them i told them that but they even didn’t care , i personally never go back , i hate cheaters , makes feel really very bad , is not about the money , it is just about cheating 👎👎👎👎

Food was not bad at all but the service was very bad and they provided us with dessert stating they are gift from them and while paying the bill they added it and we didn’t actually ask for any desserts from begging . That’s a scam .

The restaurant doesn't look much from the outside but it's really good and the place is clean. The staff is pleasant and efficient. The value for money is really good. I really recommend this place if you pass by!

Great food and great ambience. We went there for dinner as a family with our children and immediately felt very comfortable. Everything tasted very tasty. I ordered two of them from Uber eats last week which ended me in hospital with sever E.Coli food poising for five days. What exactly is happening in this place? If you are serving food to people you need to ensure the source of your meat is safe and the way you are handling it or storing it is safe and hygienic which I do not think it is. I’m being deadly serious here. You will end up killing someone. I am Turkish and have never been sick from Turkish food. I am deeply upset and hope you change whatever you are doing. **in response to the owner** Your reply makes no sense to me. You clearly show lack of empathy or remorse not even an apology. This clearly reflects your business attitude and the way you value your customers by thinking you’re being smart with your replies. Take a piece of advice from me, check with where you have ordered them from as you have made that clear now that you “order them in” ensure they are handling them properly and storing them properly. I find it hard to believe I am the only one that has reported this to you. I am trying to help you and saying you will end up killing an elderly person with the level of food poising I experienced instead of whatever warped business mentality that you seem to acquire thinking poor reviews are trying to damage your reputation you should actually take the time to read these properly and fix what isn’t working. We will come to London for 2 days, Insha'Allah.. and we are looking for a Turkish halal Muslim restaurant.. Unfortunately, in the about restaurant section of many Turkish restaurants, on Google and Maps, it clearly says LGBTQ+ Friendly.. In this restaurant, it is written clearly as well, and I would definitely not go there, nor would I trust it.. Muslim brothers should investigate carefully. Some Turkish and Muslim restaurants do not at least openly state that they are LGBT friendly. This is a very sad situation.

First visit to Lokkanta. Invited our friends from Canada. Food was delicious but not the best specially Kunefe which was overcooked. Baklawa was burnt fron the surface. We ordered the following. Shaslik Lamb(very good) Pirzola GF Salmon with vegetables Kaburga GF(excellent) Kunefe(would not recommend)

This is the best Turkish restaurant out there. The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. Loyal customers always get extra food free of charge, and that’s just lovely customer service. The staff and boss are also incredibly friendly and welcoming.

The lahmacun was not crispy, and I don't understand how people can charge 46 pounds for 4 lahmacun and 2 ayran. Come on, 6.5 lahmacun each makes 26. If you buy 6 pounds for the ayran, where did the remaining 14 pounds come from?

The restaurant located near my hotel and I decided to dine in here after I read the reviews. I really like the decoration and the atmosphere. I had lamb kebab it was well marinated,tender, juicy and delicious. Served with bulgur and salad. Salad was really really and really fresh and crisp. Came with pide bread which was really really good that you can't find in every restaurants, yogurt sauce, cacık (Turkish yogurt, cucumber, garlic meze)and chili tomatoes sauce (ezme) Staff was very friendly and answered all my questions with patience about the food and menu. It was one of the best Turkish lamb kebab I had overseas. I definitely recommend Lokkanta.

The food is very average, expensive for the amount of food we were given. Huge lack in flavour. Been to much better and cheaper Turkish restaurants.

I just wanted to have some fun with my friends and eat not so expensive but delicious food. And it was perfect for all my friends and me as well. The service was good and all of them were polite. There is some kind of cosy atmosphere. I like it because the food was prepared fastly.

My husband and I frequently visit London as my father lives there. We found this hidden Gem a couple of years ago and it is definitely our go to place. So authentic, friendly staff and the food is amazing. Out for a meal and it all tastes so healthy and grilled no grease anywhere. The gratis flatbreads with humous and dips are a lovely touch so you dont need a starter. It is so reasonably priced . We visit London about 6 times a year and as I have said this is our secret hidden gem. You can be reassured that all the locals go here and that is always a good sign. Well done Lokkanta we love you. Not good 👎🏼 Adana kebab is made from the breast of a male lamb, tail fat is added and served like that. It smelled like meat, it wasn't good at all. Chicken wings were good, service was good too. I didn't understand whether it was a restaurant or an internet cafe, the pictures on the wall, the decoration and the atmosphere did not feel like a restaurant.

Went there with family - the restaurant had a clean, calming interior and extremely polite staff. The food was delicious and the staff were extremely nice to us. Would definitely recommend!

This place are full of different celebrities' pictures and all barbecues, deserts and salads are delicious and more important halal and not so expensive.

We got into London fairly late on Christmas Eve and found no room at any conventional inn. Fortunately we found Lokkanta and we weren’t disappointed at all great food, good service and a lovely atmosphere.

Fair Priced Menu, Ordered Adana Kebab served with Bulgur, takeaway souce, salad and warm bread. Nicely prepared and packed, and of course it was delicious. All the barbecues are prepared in front of your eyes.

It was empty early evening, so there wasn’t an atmosphere, but the staff were friendly and efficient. I had an absolutely delicious falafel and halloumi wrap for a reasonable price. Thank you!

Every time i come here i feel like a king having a feast. One of the very few restaurants i know that manage to retain the authentic flavour of all the foood they serve. The meat is so juicy and so yummy. The staff are so humble and lovely. By far the best turkish and middle eastern food i’ve had , hands down.

Super resto, ambiance très sympa, équipe au top, produits très frais...je suis venu plusieurs fois, et essayé plusieurs plats aussi bon les uns que les autres, les brochettes super bonnes 👏... portion généreuse.petites mise en bouche en excellente en attendant le plat .Et ce soir petit cadeau de la maison, désert turc excellent accompagné d' un thé. Je recommande fortement, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés...grand bravo à toutes l équipe😉
