Ordered on Deliveroo last time and the chips had changed from the delicious ones they used to be, but weren’t awful so wanted to give them another chance.. Wrong order & the chips this time were hard and tasteless. Sophie’s cafe USED to be so good! There must be new management or something :( Really disappointed. For the prices you should not be getting orders wrong and hard chips. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

In the middle of a business park this cafe is ideal for snacks or meals, it's cooked fresh, hot, clean an delicious with good portions at a very reasonable price an for a small establishment have an amazing choice. The staff are very accommodating, the surroundings pleasant and clean. They work hard as a team to get you your choice as quickly as possible or take away. they know a lot of business people are on the run. Or you can relax in the small garden or conservatory. They have been running several years and I think they deserve a little praise for their efforts.

Busy understaffed we had to drink from take away cups as they had no clean cups. The Barista was working very hard.

Honestly an absolute joke of a meal. £84 spent and had to leave half the food because it was so grim. Ordered two roasts and one fish and chips with a pathetic shared side of calamari, served with a splatter of sauce thrown on the plate — and the calamari wasn’t even deep fried properly, just soggy batter. After that, we waited another 50 minutes for the saddest, most mediocre roast — chewy beef, tasteless cheap gravy, and badly cooked vegetables. Only the cold Yorkshire pudding was half decent. I get it was Mother’s Day and probably busy, but for the price, the food was an absolute joke. Won’t be coming again.

We have had several meals at the Red Lion, the food is always really great. Also we’ve used the function room recently for a birthday party and also a wake. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and on both occasions we have been really well looked after.
