Sonia's Cake & Coffee Shop in Rotherham

Terrible avoid. The owner and customers are very colicky, gossip, and downright rude. Very expensive. Would not recco end. Go elsewhere.

Before this cafe changed hands it was a pleasure to go in for coffee and cakes. As far as I know this shop now only sells bespoke cakes, I don’t think it is for drop-in customers.

Visited today for an early Father’s Day treat, food was gorgeous and plenty of everything. Milkshakes were amazing too. Very friendly staff menu choice was really good, lovely little find.

Wow this is the place to be for afternoon tea! You are made to feel so special. Your table is reserved, with beautiful white linen. The food is fresh, homemade and tasty. There is a wonderful selection of: fresh sandwiches, savoury snacks, scones, fresh cream, strawberries, chocolate covered strawberries, home backed cakes, home baked tray bakes and steaming hot tea. The atmosphere is also lovely, lots of nice local people calling in. This is proof that it is a lovely place, as you can tell it is the heart of the community. Food, friendship and happiness, the perfect recipe.

Nice cafe but small found it to be noisy by regulars that go in Shouting across the tables and to the staff found we couldn’t have a conversation to ourselves prices are average and the toasted tea cake was just normal

Lovely impromptu lunch passing through Dinnington . Excellent jacket potato and side salad very reasonable price and generous portions. Need to come back and try the coffee and cake another time Lovely friendly staff. Hope to come back

Very nice friendly cafe. Lots of homemade cakes and good coffee. Very good value. Try the egg custard or date & walnut cake with ice cream.

in a town with a lot of places for coffee Sonia provides a welcome atmosphere and good food. The cakes are home made and delicious, in fact the biggest problem will be deciding which to have, the prices are very good and the atmosphere is very welcoming, it really is like calling at a friends
