Delicious burgers with great meat, loaded fries might've been a tiny bit more crunchy with spices maybe? Still amazing. Also, amazing drinks. Plus staff - those guys are like a cherry on top! Recommended, visit if you can. Thanks for today x

If you like cloudy beer....Great. Almost all their draft beers had a haze. Its great, if that's what you want, but the beer menu failed to mention it.

Recommended by a friend of the brewer was going to the Lego Store anyway nice space good beers and friendly staff. Definitely better than all those chains! Drink local...

Cozy brewery by the Utility Arena.

Very busy place when I walked in. Long narrowish room. Bar at the far end of the room. Food available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Cash accepted. Beer was amazing. Well worth a visit. Enjoyed my visit.

Family of 6 visited for lunch after I'd run the Birmingham and Black Country Half Marathon. Excellent range of drinks available, and we all loved the food - the chicken baskets are HUGE and excellent value for money - our total bill was ~£76. The guy running the bar, he needs a medal. Great customer engagement. This was my second visit, previously came in for drinks only, but I'll definitely be back for food again!

Terrible service. The staff got completely overloaded in the lead up to this evening's concert and we had to wait 1hr 40 for a chickrn burger and chips. No one knew what was going on and even more frustrating was that people who arrived an hour after us got their food before us. Shambolic.

Food took 2 hours to come and they were very rude when we asked why it took so long

Worth a visit. Had a wonderful Vegan spiced pulled mushroom burger and some super tasty brews. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Good tunes ranging from rock to 80s.. Nice location too.

Great atmosphere, happy staff and superb food and drinks. The knowledgeable staff behind the bar were very helpful and a young lady who was on her first shift was so cheerful and enthusiastic we thought she must be the manager! Would love to return if we’re ever back in Birmingham.

A good addition to the Brum bar scene. Posher than your average taproom in a Stirchley industrial estate, and nice vibes … good beer choices too

Used to be a frequent visitor with my friends (particularly for quiz night), place has now gone downhill. Very unimpressed. Found some dead cockroaches in the girls toilets 🤢 The food was thankfully amazing though as always. The staff were nice too. Sadly they all seem to be new staff and not the ones I was used to seeing :( Shame as the last time I came here about 6 months ago there were some lovely girls behind the bar that seem to no longer be there as my friends haven’t seen them on their visits either recently. Quiz night also gone! What a bummer! Can’t see this venue staying open much longer, lack of events and the place is always empty when we’re there. Shame. Must be to do with management.

Enjoyed the flight board- 4 1/3rds for the price of 3 on a Thursday, along with the two for one burgers. We had the vegan ones and the perri loaded fries - delicious! Lovely venue with welcoming staff team.

Excellent service. Food was great and slightly cheaper than the other restaurants around. Was surprised how quiet it was considering there was a big game on at the Arena.

Incredible. Amazing music, the staff were super friendly, and the beers, ales, and cocktails are second to none. Well worth a visit!

2nd visit this year. This time we brought our kids and the chef was very accommodating, making them "chicken nuggets" and chips when they weren't on the menu. A lovely chilled space when the rest of the city seemed so manic!

I added this place to my “to go list” since the first time I passed by while exploring the canal and saw the amazing photos of big juicy burgers! When I finally had the chance to go, I ended up having just the loaded fries, and it was super delicious, meaty and juicy as I expected! Still on my “to go list” to return and try the burgers! I don’t drink beer, so didn’t try any of their beers, but they look like exciting experience for all beer lovers.

Me (being a big fan of craft beer) absolutely love this place. The variety of beer and quality are amazing. The deco is really cool, with the fermentation vessels on the side of the bar. The burgers and the loaded fries are great too.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, will definitely be visiting again.

Visited as part of the Birmingham Canals Pubs tour. Having worked at Brindley prior to lockdown, I was quite surprised to see this delightful little venue near my favourite Lego giraffe. The Sommar venues always nail the décor, photos speak for themselves I think! Lovely ales, attentive service, great food (we ordered a variety of pulled pork and other fries along with some delicious chicken trays) - and lots of ample seating both inside and outside the venue. Personally a big fan of the Sommar chain, so I really enjoyed visiting here. Another recommendation.

Went here for the bottomless brunch. You get unlimited prosecco or beers on tap, plus a burger or fried chicken box. There was a good variety of beers and the food was delicious. All for £30, a good price for bottomless brunch. The staff were friendly and the venue has a good vibe.

Visited this place on 17th August 2023 as it was close to Legoland we visited that day and also enticed by a sign outside saying 'kids eat free'. We were lucky that we avoided food poisoning there. I ordered beef burgers for myself and my husband and chicken nuggets for the children. The burgers were smelly and bitter, the nuggets were also smelly - it seemed like the meat wasn't fresh. As soon as noticed that I told my children not to eat their food. Also, I ordered two soda waters and I got one glass filled less than 1/3. When I asked for the second glass and two empty glasses for my children to pour the Sprite in, the waitress threw them on the table, amazingly they didn't break. You could feel negative energy there. I paid before we got the food and didn't get the receipt. I am not sure if it is a regular occurrence there, but that will be a 'no go' place for us. Also, I hope the local Food Safety Authority will get some interest in that place.

Great micro brewery with loads of beers to try and 2-4-1 cocktails. Very convenient next to the arena and the staff were super helpful. Didn’t try it but the food looked good to, cooked fresh on a grill.

Great space and really good beers. Cocktails too. Was so quick to get seated and drinks only 45 minutes before a gig started. Espresso Martini was spot on!

Normally this place is sound and have had some great evenings here previously. A group of 8 of us ventured in on Sunday evening 28th May at about 6pm and there wasn’t a soul in the venue. We were told by one server ‘we’re closing in an hour’ and then by the other ‘we’re closing in an hour, last orders are in half hour’. Very much seemed that the staff couldn’t wait to get out of there and we didn’t feel welcome. We asked for the music to be turned up as we were solo in there and it felt like a library - the music was turned up by 1/2 notches… 5 blokes were turned away at 25 to 7 (closing time) who just wanted a pint each. Money out the door. We left asap - hopefully a one-off but just smile or don’t work there.

Excellent beer and food made on the premises.

Rated mainly for the food. Had the peri Peri chicken burger. The meat quality was not great, the cook on the meat was bad and there was absolutely no salt in the chicken or batter. Need to really improve the food standards. Otherwise it's a decent place to chill. Not too crowded or loud. Good varieties of Gin

So disappointed with the food and the service here. The beef burger was bland and the bacon really undercooked, chicken burger was over cooked and they got a couple of things on the order wrong. When we mentioned this to the staff member she whispered something and walked off. When we left she and the chefs laughed at us. Don’t waste your time or your money.

If you’re looking for a chicken burger, come here. I have been underwhelmed by so many chicken burgers that I always go beef, but something about the hot honey chicken burger was calling my name and I’m glad I listened. Best buttermilk batter of my LIFE, add to it that it’s a chicken thigh instead of breast and I’ve got a new go-to. You’re surrounded by chicken burgers in Birmingham so if you’re looking for advice, eat this one. We also had the 50/50 burger with pineapple relish (you could really taste the aged beef) and the pulled mushroom fries. The accompanying beers were also bangin, I love a fruit twist in my beer so they had a lot to interest me. And the music was actually good! It’s been so long since the music has actually added value to the experience that I stopped bothering adding it to the equation. At one point we stopped our conversation just to enjoy the song that was playing. 100% would recommend

Nice microbrewery in a great location by the canal. Their own beers are a 3/5 but their fridge is usually well stocked. Good atmosphere.

Ordered chicken burger and fries, the chicken was over cooked and bitter. The fryer was way too hot and too long in the fryer which made the sauce really bitter. Im sure the chef was training and learning without any guidance Not worth nearly £10

I and friends visited this "bar" and I can honestly say that none of us (6) enjoyed the vastly overpriced beer. A round of 3 drinks was £23, 2 pints and a 2/3 glass and it didn't even remotely taste like beer. Its quite clear that this company have pushed the idea of craft beer from the sublime to the ridiculous so that it tastes disgusting. Never again! I'm only giving it 1 because I can't give it none.

Went for a bottomless Brunch for a Birthday present…absolutely fantastic service & very knowledgeable staff. Food was great, will definitely be going again!

Visited yesterday evening. Customer service was brilliant. Staff were very friendly, attentive and professional. The two burgers we ordered (one chicken & one beef) were really delicious. I tried a couple of beers which were very good indeed. The prices are very reasonable for the location. Thoroughly recommend.

Very rude man at bar (Bold middle aged white man) snapped at me when I asked for a drinks list and then snapped at another gentlemen who asked the same thing won’t be paying £5 a pint thank you Hehe.

Popped in for a drink before going to a show. Jack who served us was so friendly and helpful in choosing our drinks. So much so we went back in after the show and again Jack along with Joe the manager were great. Lovely little bar would highly recommend.

Real surprise to find a craft brewery/taproom in this area, in amongst all the chains. Tons of beers on tap and in bottles/cans, a lot of which are brewed on site. Not cheap, but good quality - well worth popping in.

Amazing beer, the food was so reasonable and delicious but by far the best thing about this place is the staff...so friendly, knowledgeable about the beer and couldn't be more helpful. Can't rate this place highly enough.

Visited on the way home from eating out and in search of some good beer. We came to the right place. Not busy on a bank holiday Monday so they didn't mind our daughter being with us. Great tap list. Lovely comfy chairs to relax and enjoy your beer. Would recommend to all craftbeer fans.

A hidden gem at the end of the strip beyond the last bridge so easy to miss but well worth seeking out. Great street food kitchen with juicy delicious burgers, tasty loaded fries, and a great selection of drinks. Eat indoors or out.

Passed through here this morning and had a few local crafts beers which quenched my thirst splendidly - my bike road home wasn’t so steady! The food was great which helped me cycle slightly more steady.

I came across this beer outlet whilst discovering the canals of Birmingham. Its not the easiest place to find located on the outside walkway at the rear of the Birmingham Arena. The brewery is housed inside the taproom and there are a large number of beers available with seating inside and a small number of tables outside. There is a street food style outlet in the Taproom serving burgers and fries and a few chicken dishes. I did not eat there but found the beer to be very good quality.

Solid bar to sit and chill with live music, plenty to choose from when it come to craft ales

If you need an excuse to walk the canal then pick this. Great beers in an atmospheric bar. Music was also excellent, but tastes vary I hear.

Popped in for a quick pre dinner pre gig drink. A fantastic choice of ales, and other drinks, incredibly friendly staff, loved the funky interior design, very clean. Will be back!

Good food, good beer. On an event night at Utilita, get here early as it gets very busy. We had the hot and honey chicken box (comes with spicy slaw and skinny fries). I had a strong sour and my husband had one of Sommar’s IPA

Nice place to visit once or twice. They have the brewing equipment next to the tables, this can be interesting or very annoying.... I will let you decide. If is live music the volume will be so loud that you can't even talk so probably it is better to sit outside, facing the canals. The beer is good, I didn't try them all, but seems to be ok and I definitely recommend you to visit them. It is a bit annoying that you have to pass an semiopen kitchen area to sit, just to find out that you have to order at the bar. The burger is ok ish, I would expect more from that price, too sour for my taste (from the onion pickles, burger sauce and other pickles), also the meat is not the best. Overall, for a few hours experience is ok, give it a try.

Perfect for a pre concert pint or generally a pint by the canal. £5 for a Czech pilsner was pretty decent too. Didn’t have a burger but they smelled amazing! Helpful staff offering tasters of the various drinks on tap

Great place! Love the vats touch... not surprising of a brewery however, expected it to manufactured off site. Great music, décor and atmosphere! Not really a beer aficionado and IPA's (Punk IPA) is a new found love. So I was extremely impressed with 'Gorilla on the drum set' and ' Climb that like a tree' 🥰 Friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff (Tom)...got an IPA history journey from England to India and back... when I asked about the difference between Ale and IPA's...a lot more interesting than I thought possible of a beer. Great food - burgers to die for. Apparently there's also a quizz night, free live music every other Friday, comedy and flight nights. Very refreshing and alternative drinking venue.👍

Fantastic selection of craft beers and gin’s. Friendly knowledgeable staff, amazing burgers with a warm friendly atmosphere with entertainment ranging from singers to quiz nights. To top it all off it’s a brewery as well. Highly recommend a visit.

Good beer and very large selection to choose from! Good burgers, larger containers to eat them out of please! Friendly and cheery staff. Very handy for Utilita arena. Didn't need to book, but did get busy later on, which led to queue at the bar. Dog friendly. Will use again.

Good selection of beers, with plenty of options for the non beer drinker. Really friendly helpful staff, good music and good location by the canal. It was a pleasurable experience for us all, and will definitely be back!
