Whenever I am felling down I always pop into the tea rooms. You will always be met with a friendly and warm welcome from the lovely staff. The food is very nice too. Very good range and they even have a plant base menu which is a real bonus, especially when combined with one of their delicious berry smoothies. Whether you want a breakfast with a beautiful loose leaf tea or a tasty home baked cake with a vanilla latte they will always lift your spirits. Would definitely recommend a visit whether on your own, with fiends or family. We are so lucky to have a such a welcoming and friendly tea rooms and it really is something lovely.

Such a shame, visited Saturday morning for the first time for breakfast, no room upstairs but was told tables in the basement, it was a freezing cold damp smelling area with no one else there, we went back upstairs and said we would not stay as it was cold and all the lady said was ok bye, not a great way to run a business and such a shame as we was going to be bringing and booking for a big group next Saturday.

We have enjoyed visits to the tea room since it opened. The food is excellent, prepared on on site from the freshest ingredients, and you always receive a friendly welcome from owner Kerry and Sarah. New additions to the menu are plant based delights which are just superb. There is a great range of specialist teas and coffees. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Food was fresh but I thought quite expensive. Poached egg on toast (1 slice of toast ) scrambled egg on toast ( again 1 slice of toast ) and 2 coffees was about £17 . Nice little place , but I’m afraid not worth the money .

The kind of place that needs to stay open in lockdown, as the experience there is so good for the soul. We were two strangers to the area in search of tea and sustenance, and couldn’t have felt more at home or as if we were locals. Sarah and Kelly beamed and joked and were just charming. The BLT sandwiches were wonderful. Such a shame they are now closed. Every town needs a Something Lovely.

Kerry runs the something lovely tea room in Puckeridge. It is a beautiful quirky tea room with the most exquisite cakes and pastries all home-made. They always make me the most perfect mushrooms on toast and I haven’t met a person who hasn’t enjoyed this five star experience in probably the best tea room in Hertfordshire. She is a bully assisted by Sara who is a brilliant cook and like Kerry a lovely lively individual. The choice of specialist teas is 2nd to none, And you won’t find anything better in the south of England.

We visited here with our kids and I’m sad to say it’s gone downhill since our last visit. Gone were the jolly ladies that served us previously. Instead we were met with abruptness and misery. The people working here are always really friendly and ready to help, and I have always had top quality food here. Gorgeous, wacky setting, super coffee, the most scrumptious home-made cakes and charming service from the two ladies and the young chap on a lovely Saturday morning. Well worth discovering. Reserved a table in half term week to have our first visit (had seen a pic of the chocolate cake and knew I had to have a piece) Had my 4 yr old and parents visiting from Devon so was suggested a downstairs table so our little boy called play. When we arrived upstairs was a little busy and had to find our way down, had to admit that although absolutely lovely downstairs with a fab play area for the kids, it was a bit dark (no windows) and squashed in (a big group of mums and kids sat on the bigger table, taking up a lot of room) So we were lucky enough to be able to get a table upstairs which was much nicer as bright and lovely atmosphere. The service was fantastic and food delicious (I had the prawn sandwich - bread was so yummy followed by the chocolate malteser cake (I want more now) My son was thrilled with his teddy shaped sandwich and strawberry milkshake and parents enjoyed their tea and cake. So all left VERY happy first timers and will 100% be back with friends very soon.

We were recommended to come here and did so about 12.30pm on Sunday. It is a lovely place which a lot of character. It was very busy and all the staff were working flat out. The owner, Kerry, is a very pleasant lady and despite how busy it was, took time to explain why they did not do de- caffeinated coffee. Although, she explained there was not a lot of demand for the coffee, I wonder if this may put people off coming a distance. Indeed, we are a twenty minute journey away. That said , there is de caff tea on offer. I thought the coffee was the best I have ever tasted in ANY coffee shop and I visit quite a few. The cake was nice and all staff pleasant. A lovely visit. Whenever we go, this place is always busy no matter what day or time. This is simply because of the quality of the service and products. today, we had a sandwich. Mine, chicken salad with onion marmalade was simply delicious (who would think of marmalade in a chicken salad sandwich)? The other sandwich was prawn salad which I'm told was also delicious. Both sandwiches were at least an inch thick and no, that was not mostly salad, but chicken and prawn. My cappuccino was simply lovely. Add to this the staff are always friendly and accommodating, what else can anyone want?

Poor. Used to be a lovely Pub to have a Roast Dinner in, especially on the Sundays the Classic Cars turned up! Today's Roast Beef was frankly nothing of the sort, tough, stringy and tasteless - I suspect it wasn't the days Roast at all, but some pre-packaged 'Roast Beef' slices. Apart from that, it's a nice, friendly, local Pub.
