We stopped here for coffee on a visit to Sidmouth. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and coffee very good. The cafe was busy but everyone was warmly welcomed as we were which created a really nice atmosphere. Later in the afternoon we returned for tea scones and cake which were delicious! A highly recommended cafe when in town but next time we’ll have lunch too!

Excellent. Lovely service. Great great homemade cake. We didn’t have the freshly baked scones, but they looked delicious too. We highly recommend this cafe. We were privileged to get a late table and felt very smug to be sat inside eating such indulgent and delicious cake, whilst a few stragglers were too late to bag a table. But honestly…you can’t help feeling smug when in possession of such a fine piece of cake :)

We stopped and sat outside today on a very gloomy summer afternoon & had a scrumptious cream tea ...it was really delicious. The fruit & plain scones were light and tasty, there was a plentiful amount of both jam/conserve and clotted cream. It was served on beautiful floral china plates with teapots and cups & saucers, which really added to the beauty. We had great friendly service & I would eargerly return to try more of their menu.

This is a very favourite place of ours, we have many holidays in Sidmouth and found this little Jewel some time ago, and continue to use it. The cream teas, which is how we found them, are , in our opinion, the very best that Devon can offer! The rest of their menu is specific and excellent quality . Considering the size of the premises, they serve up a magic of greatness that is lovely and delicious. Served with eagerness and pleasantness and all the other "Nesses" one can think of. As said before, " if you are in Sidmouth and hungry for something" then head for this one. The praise is well deserved , they work hard at the business and make it the success that it is. P.S. They are getting known, so go earlier rather than later, especially for the cream tea's, Scones are yummy. Highly recommended.

A lot of the reviews here rave about the scones, I can now see why. They are without a doubt the best I've ever tasted. We've had two cream teas in the last month and they have been great. Didn't get to eat here. I was looking forward to bringing my visiting friend. The website food looked good. I am local & I know the scones are good, but we just wanted a sandwich & a drink. No menus on table. Sat for awhile without attendance, then realised menu was by the door. No sandwiches on menu, yet their website definitely says they do a variety of sandwiches, toasties & Tuna melt. Very disappointed. Who wants soup on a warm day? They shouldn't say they serve sandwiches on the Website if they don't. When I queried it with Jamie? she just said they only had what was on the printed menu, so we walked out without eating there.

So what you say, but the fun part here was, the waitress and I both rembering the 70's when Unigate Diaries gave away red+white stripped products promoting 'watch out there's a humphrey' To eat, the largest, softest scone was devoured with massive pots of jam and clotted cream.....also a brie, apple & fig jam toasties. We happened upon this lovely little cafe whilst wandering around Sidmouth on a grey day when lockdown restrictions meant we could not eat indoors. The bright orange parasols made a pretty picture against the backdrop of the church yard and the pedestrianised street made it a nice, quiet option. The number of tables was limited but we were lucky. The waitresses were friendly and welcoming. As our visit was mid morning we only had a small snack but I couldn’t resist a cream tea and my husband had an egg bap. The cream tea was delicious, freshly baked scone, homemade strawberry jam and proper clotted cream. It was possibly the nicest scone I have ever eaten! To top it all off it was served on pretty floral china. Such a lovely little spot, we would recommend it to all.

A really comfortable, clean cafe serving really great dishes. The coffee is great, the date scones are really moreish ! Hubby loves their bacon butties....and the tiffin...the toasties ...all served by smiley staff. Current Covid rules apply. The tables are quickly filled as people leave, there is often people “ hovering’ for a table, always a good sign ! Their background music is sublime. Why on earth would anyone choose a faceless chain coffee shop when we have these amazing littles Gems in town ?We will certainly be regulars .

This brilliant cafe is nestled right in the heart of Sidmouth with tables outside, and totally covid friendly A big smile greeted us and we ordered two glasses of white wine, one a sauvignon and a pinot grigio but not from a wine list. When mine arrived, I could not believe how delicious it was and my partner who is a big wine lover agreed that his was to. The toasties were a treat, great bread and came with a delicious salad. It certainly was not not an afterthought garnish like so many other places! We could not fit in the giant scones ( baked daily) that we saw waft by us, but will make it our business to do so next time. Personal touches and gorgeous food make this a place really worth seeking out. The staff are so welcoming and at the top of their game. Thank you.

Fantastic little cafe, a real gem! Staff are always professional, friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to allergies. Great food and location. My coeliac husband can eat here with no worries. Recommend the GF fruit scones. Very Covid safe. Tables are at an appropriate distance, staff wearing masks and chairs and tables sanitised between customers.

After visiting sidmouth recently and reading online that ‘someday something’ sold the best scones in town, we had to stop here for lunch. Google did not lie, they were amazing! We also had the most delicious sandwiches and the girls there are lovely and smiley and made our trip even more special. Well worth a visit!

Great lunchtime visit today. Excellent value, warm, welcoming atmosphere, good food and good coffee. 2 children (4+6) were happy to play on the equipment whilst their grownups chatted and sad to leave at the end of our slot.

A lovely little pub with plenty of character. Really nice craft ale and friendly people. The beers change weekly giving us something different each week. They open Thursday to Saturday until 9pm.

Really friendly in the pub, which has fully home cooked food (including the chips!) We had chicken balls and steak and Stilton pie, followed by Dorset apple cake and ice cream. It was all excellent.

As soon as you step through the door you know the place is well run; with the shop shelves beautifully stacked. All the prices were very reasonable too. Like the shop, the cafe was spotless where we enjoyed coffee that was full of flavour, but not bitter. It was obvious the whole business was being well looked after and clients were made very welcome.

Excellent decor, great atmosphere and delicious cake. Something the area has been crying out for, we were so impressed with the vibe and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit somewhere with a lot of character and also very trendy.
