Excellent location for Terminal 5 Heathrow. The foyer was very clean and staff efficient. The room was a little tired looking and there was not enough tea, coffee and milk for our overnight stay, despite requesting more, they never materialised. Restaurants a little over priced.

The customer service person who checked me in was lovely and kind. Booked a wheelchair for one of our party members, told us all the details about how that worked for the next morning. The hotel is gorgeous. Room was impeccably clean and that bed...divine. If you have a layover at LHR, you HAVE to stay here. It could not have been better.

The early check in is BS. It should be 9 am check in. Early check in should be changed to 9 am check in to avoid huge disappointment and frustration. Private car to theatre arranged by hotel took us 3 train stops and 30 minute walk caused a late arrival at theatre, extra train charges. You fraudulently took my money up front and did not deliver.

The Sofitel couldn’t be closer to T5. A beautiful airy hotel. Rooms are very well equipped and maintained and very quiet. We had a good, comfy sleep. Menu in the informal dining room was uninspired and over priced but otherwise very happy with our stay.

Super convenient and super comfortable! The hotel was welcoming and of the highest quality. Our bed amongst the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in and the room completely sound proof. Other aspects we really appreciated were staff readily on hand and really happy to help, the shop and the bar where drinks and food were great. We headed off to departures the following morning happy and well rested!

I had a great welcome from Umar at reception. The entire team always dedicate themselves to guests. In the lounge, once again really wonderful service from Ronaldo and Sujeewa. The lounge service is amazing as always and it's so lovely to see that they go above and beyond for the guests. No one leaves the lounge without being very satisfied, like myself! Best, Navid

Late night check in, was given a room where the aircon didn't work. Eventually got moved to wheelchair accessible room (I don't have a wheelchair). Basin was extremely low for an able bodied person, shower was not a rainfall, and the mattress was very soft. Not a great night's sleep.

After arriving from the US, there were 12 hours left until the next flight. It turned out that Sofitel offers rooms for rent during the day from early morning hours (I arrived around 07:30) until 18:00. Just follow the signs at the airport - the passage takes place within the building without having to go outside. Spacious room, perfectly soundproofed, bathroom with bathtub and delicious meals as part of room service. A great way to relax between flights! I have no complaints.

Right. We gave you 2 weeks to respond, but you chose to ignore us. We had a 7am flight so had an early start to our day. During the shower, we discovered the grab rail was detached from the wall. As a result, I slipped and injured myself. Told the front desk ASAP, no solution was offered and we had to leave for our early check-in at LHR. Wrote to the hotel manager as well as the Sofitel complaints department asking for a full refund. Was ignored. Accessible bathrooms should not be like this. It is a serious safety issue. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for providing this kind of accessible room to disabled people. We want a full refund. Please! 3000 points is how you compensate? Don’t make me laugh! I explained to you we had an early start, so as soon as we found out, we were checking out for our early flight. Don’t you dare try and pin the blame on me! Full refund now! Not 3000 points!

Great stay and nearly 5 stars. I stayed in two different rooms: Superior and Luxury Kings. This review is missing a star because while the Superior room was comfortable and very clean, several of the wall switch buttons were broken (inoperable) at the bedside tables. The shower door didn't close, leading to a wet floor. My Luxury King room was in great shape. Everything else went very well and the staff were excellent hosts. I must call out Aartee from the front desk team who was especially kind and helpful. She even found me a room with an outdoor view to get a little more light. I had breakfast delivered both mornings. It was tasty, on time, and still warm :) The first morning I enjoyed breakfast over a view of enormous planes landing right next to the hotel in absolute silence. Thank you!

We stayed at Sofitel Heathrow on way to and from Rome. First stay was 24 hour layover. After flying for +10 hours, it was quick and easy to drop off luggage and hop on the Elizabeth train to city for dinner and a show in the West End. Rooms are very quiet and peaceful. Next morning, we used the gym and had breakfast before walking to terminal 5 to catch the flight to Rome. On the return, we landed, checked in, dropped bags in our room and were on the train to the city for dinner + show again within the hour. amazing. We used the gym and booked spa appointments the next morning so we were relaxed for the +10 hour flight home. Staff is friendly and great location and convenience. 10/10 recommend

It’s great how close this hotel is to T5 and transport links, making it great for airport travel and into the city. Also excellent value this time, but rates do fluctuate. The only thing poor about this visit was the time to check-in. First there was a long queue, and then as I’d booked online, I’d selected two guests to stay in the room but just one breakfast, which was easy to book online, but inconceivable to the guy that checked us in. After much protracted discussion, I had to tell him to take the single breakfast off, and that my partner would just pay at the restaurant. First impressions count, and this one was painful as we just wanted to get to our room.

Having stayed at many Accor properties, my expectations were already high — yet our experience truly exceeded anything I could have imagined. I could have easily rated this 10 out of 10. The hotel is great! I dinged it one point because there are no current bedside plugs - the lamp plug is an old style and doesn't fit any of our plugs - even if they did there aren't enough outlets for the lamp, a CPAP and a phone. The restaurants are great, the club relaxing, and the service impeccable. It's a great place and so convenient for next day travel.

I was staying 1 night, prior to a flight to Miami BA from terminal 5,, part to visit my ill twin, my son and a holiday. The Elizabeth line was closed for HS2 work( might never finish), the journey to the airport took ages and was cold. Check in was good, room even better, a free upgrade! I’ve always enjoyed Sofitel, near Haymarket and St James London, v central and exclusive, Marseille for seafood the port and my son’s declaration of his ‘best ever breakfast’ I went to the sports bar at 7pm to watch the Genesis golf ⛳️ last day finish. There was Italian football to watch with less than 3 people in the bar and the tv remote nowhere to be found. The ability to streamline Chanel changing for a resident needed to be reassessed Nevertheless with the help of a caring young man on reception, 10 mins,, a helpful maintenance man and the ever attentive services of Wilson, we overcame the obstacles in our way. He was a diligent employee, doing his job by the book as trained …. Would I like to see a drinks menu…no thanks … a whiskey and ginger please… ok sir comimg up…! Constantin in the background was brining the efforts to get the tv Chanel working together. I was hungry…by the time the penne arrabbiata was made and eaten, the golf was tense, a second whiskey and I was replete! Well done boys for looking after me… it took a while but it was worth it…thank you for being unrelentingly positive about delivering good service in the hospitality business. George

A lovely hotel, but at £170 a night , not cheap. Absolutely disgusted what happened at check in. I arrived just before noon, conversation went like this. Reception Good day sir, would you like an early check in? Me, yes please. Reception, We’ve a room ready, it will be £90 extra. Me. But I’ve just paid £170 I don’t want to pay anymore, what time is my room ready? Reception , After 3 pm? Me , But that’s no good, I’m going to Twickenham at 2.30. Reception, Sorry sir Me, but there’s a room ready you said. Reception, Yes, but it will be £90 extra. Me, But I’ve paid £170 so if there’s a room ready, give it to me. Reception, it doesn’t work like that, £90 extra sir. I politely declined the receptionists offer. Just another business trying to squeeze the last little bit of cash from a client.

I had a pleasant stay at Sofitel London. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, with a special mention to Ignatius, who provided outstanding service and made me feel truly valued as a guest. Their professionalism and friendliness added a great touch to the experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for easy access to the airport, making it a great choice for travelers in transit. However, while the overall ambiance was comfortable, the rooms felt a little dated, and I noticed an issue with the lighting—a buzzing sound when dimmed, which was a bit distracting. Overall, it was a good stay with excellent service and a prime location, though the rooms could use some modern updates.

I love this hotel, staff are helpful, and the hotel itself is so clean and shiny! I enjoyed a drink in the bar the evening of my stay which was comfortable and relaxing. The walk to the terminal is amazing, so easy and makes an early start for a flight much more bearable ! I booked parking with my stay which was so easy and located just underneath the hotel so was great for our return. The beds are also the comfiest as well as the balmain bath products 10/10

We have overnighted at the T5 Sofitel several times. The location is perfect and the hotel itself is quiet and comfortable. Check-in is easy, and the staff always are friendly and efficient. The morning breakfast is excellent, whether I want a light "continental" breakfast or the "full English".

From the welcome to the room itself this felt like a luxury stay - made all the better by being able to book parking for just £40 overnight, and take free transfers on the Heathrow Express / Elizabeth Line to our terminal (3). Even the parking lot was easy to find. Would recommend this to anyone!

No paper guides to hotel services in room just a QR code directing you to somewhere online however it took you to an out of date menu at Sphere with the dishes that I’d chosen from the online menu not available, when I asked server about this he didn’t seem to care saying the website was out of date not realising the relevance. Order some In Room dining and the correct Silverware wasn’t included. It’s a first world problem having to reuse utinsels for desert and soup but you’d think a hotel of this calibre would get the basics right.

1 night before an early flight in the only LHR T5 "airport" hotel that is actually physically connected. I have had £25 taxi fees and/or delays for other hotels but a comfortable and totally enclosed walk here. Our room was exceedingly well thought out and maintained with a good selection of differing thickness pillows, a discreet but effective night light to avoid damaged toes on night visits and effective sound and light insulation: we will return

I came in at 6am after a 5 hour bus ride and was looking for a room because my flight had been postponed to the next day. I was exhausted and I’m sure it showed. The nice receptionist quickly checked me into a room even though check-in wasn’t till 3pm. I lost her card, but I remember her name started with a G. The room was nice and cozy and allowed me to get some much needed sleep before a 14 hour flight back to the states.

The Sofitel London Heathrow has the convenience of being directly connected to the airport terminal, which makes it very practical for travelers. However, the interior feels outdated, with the decor and facilities in need of renovation. The hotel is also quite dimly lit, which affects the overall ambiance. While the location is excellent for catching early flights, the overall experience could be improved with some updates to the rooms and common areas.

Please beware that in regards to the hotel security deposit, it takes 30 days for Sofitel to refund it to your bank account, even when you have checked out and the bill has been settled just fine. It seems like an excessive amount of time to be holding onto someone's deposit. Haven't had this experience anywhere else where I have stayed over the years.

Amazing stay before our early flight to Thailand. Room was quiet, spacious and the bed one of the most comfortable we’ve ever found in a hotel. Our luxury room (with free mini bar and turndown service) included access to Club Millesime that offered a great selection of drinks and canapes. During our time in the lounge we had the pleasure to speak to Food & Beverage Manager Georgia as she was spot checking the spread before the Happy Hour started. Excellent service from Sujeefwa who kept our glasses topped up and couldn’t do enough for us.

Staff were great and very friendly and attentive, and the location is excellent for terminal 5 transit. If you are coming from another terminal, note that the lift to the hotel is located outside opposite Marks and Spencers, on the arrival level of T5. We were given an early check-in which was much appreciated, this helped for our day out in London. One improvement would be the club breakfast with only one cooked option included. However coffee was great and we definitely did not leave hungry. Would definitely stay again next time I am overnighting in London.

Had a lovely stay, the hotel has everything you need, really nice bathroom extras, bath and walk in shower, soft dressing gowns and towels, comfortable bed, quiet, black out curtains, I slept like a baby. The breakfast was fantastic, high quality produce, loads of options, English selection had everything even black pudding, top of the range pastries, full continental selection and some eastern options, chefs on hand at the station. The Hotel really make an effort to meet everyone’s requirements without compromising on quality. We experienced a delay with our flight so we decided to use the spa when we checked out and the hotel looked after our bags without issue. I felt like I had been transported somewhere else not an airport, the ladies are very friendly and helpful, the facility’s were clean, they supply everything you need and more. The spa bath was so relaxing offering different hydro massages, steam and sauna room well maintained, there are further complementary towels and lemon water with relaxing lounge chairs, I was actually glad we got delayed 😁. After the spa we had a drink in the tea room, again experienced polite and friendly staff, the wine was high quality. All the staff at the hotel were polite and helpful, couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable relaxing, de stressing stay. Thank you to all the amazing staff at the hotel. When booking I was looking at prices compared to other hotels not as close to the airport, the location and the quality of the hotel is worth every penny and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this hotel again.

Returned once again to the Sofitel before an early morning flight. Luxurious room (Double upgrade as an Accor cardholder); excellent meal in the restaurant; great night's sleep; and quick and easy express checkout. Not much more we could have asked for other than an on time flight - which BA managed to provide.

We were flying out early the next morning from Terminal 5 at Heathrow and wanted to have a relaxed morning. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and will certainly book in future should we have similar requirements.

Generally it’s fine for an airport hotel. What you expect. BUT THERE ARE NO PLUG SOCKETS NEXT TO THE BED!!! You can’t charge your phone. In a major hotel chain. In 2024. Crazy.

Very classy hotel. Beautiful setting and fairly easy to get to without satnav. Stayed here with my wife and child and our room came ready with cot. Lovely restaurant that isn't too expensive. We had 2 mains and a beer for £60. The room itself was lush. We dont live near Heathrow so wanted a touch of comfort, relaxation and luxury the night before flying and it really delivered. Only improvements is that the in room phone didnt work, so to call reception i needed to use my own phone and call. Ok for me but a tad annoying if you don't have a UK phone. Will definitely do this again when flying from T5

Good food but very bad wifi. Wifi is still bad. There are only 2 pubs around here and I come pretty often since I like the food. The male staffs were nice however the female staff was not. It looks like she only smile to white customers. I was here like 100 times over the course of 2 years and she never smiled to me once. When there is little guests, she'd rather pay attention to her phone than guests. I often spent 20-24£ each time and come 2 times per week. They have TVs with football and that's one of the reason I came. I often choose a table where I can see the TV well. Many times they asked me to move into back room with a very small TV hanging near ceiling to give space to later guests. If I come late and tables are full, I am happy with that. But if I have to give up my seat because later guests have more people than only me. That's not what I paid for. The pub manager said it's a fair policy and I didnt agree. It's not my problem how they chose to arrange tables and TV places. How about moving those people inside there're many vacant seats and TVs in there as well, arent they? At least they could say sorry (there was a male staff who said that and I was happy to move, but the girl - never) I'll never come to this pub again and I believe they wont miss me. So for solo guest who'd like to watch football peacefully this is not recommended.

2 stars for the food ; waitress failed to concentrate when taking our order as it was incorrect . Minus another star for the shocking noise in there when it’s busy - can’t hear yourself speak it’s like a kid’s playground (due to the low ceiling?) . Minus another star as a criticism of the owners definitely not taking note of how ridiculously short - and I mean it (!) the teenage waitresses wear their skirts. I’m not a prude, but one girl’s short skirt on the day we visited may just as well been a belt - the tall girl with the long wavy fair hair could barely bend over to serve the food . That sense of dress should be for her own social life , certainly not for waitressing - it’s a deterrent for decent customers. Please would Old Village Cafe management install a set of high standards for staff attire as I think it’s unprofessional and unattractive to be exposed to someone’s future laundry basket contents .

Having tried Wimpy’s vegan hamburger I must say it might just be the best vegan burger on the market. Size is the first thing that comes to mind. These guys are quite chunky which is what you want from a burger, something substantial. It’s well organised, the arrangement in how the patty layers up nicely with the toppings and sauce. The bun is nice and soft. Great texture in the patty, soft, succulent but meaty. It’s perhaps the best mock hamburger ever produced. Looks like a hamburger, feels like a hamburger, tastes like a hamburger but it is vegan! For those inclined, this option cannot be overlooked. Compared to other alternatives in overall presentation and satisfaction this hamburger is flawless. Wimpy did their homework, they understood the assignment. Virtually no complaints other than the price for delivery. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Popped into The General Eliott for a pint on a rainy day a few weeks ago around Easter. The location is great - right next to the Union Canal with a lovely view, and there’s convenient parking nearby. The atmosphere inside was cosy and inviting, and the outdoor seating overlooking the canal would be ideal on a sunny day. Service was quick but not particularly friendly. The bartender didn’t smile or make eye contact, which was a shame considering it wasn’t crowded. We only had a pint of Guinness, which was nicely poured and enjoyable. Didn’t try the food this time, but I’d be happy to come back and give it a go. They also have an events calendar with live music, quizzes, etc. A good spot overall with potential for a better experience with just a bit more attention to detail.
