Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel in Hillingdon

It’s a no option as is generally provided by British airways in case of missed flight. Rooms are good but food is a very major concern be it quality or quantity. The taste is absolutely not up to the mark nor is the presentation. Quantity also needs tweaking . Serving one packed croissant will not be sufficient by any standards. They are able to secure business just because of their location but given a chance I will never pay and stay here.

it’s always a pleasure to be in this Hotel and always sad to not be able to use the spa and the gym because of the Covid ... but happy to be served again by RAYMOND from the service room crew. Very kind person and professional.

Test and Rest works very well, I had to fly on business and was worried on getting a reliable COVID test done and getting it back in time.Great location and so less hassle when you are in the terminal in a couple of minutes.Will definitely use again.Test package included room very reasonable Good organisation

Arriving at the Sofitel on Friday evening, we were greeted by the professional reception team, displaying a continued focus on their guest first approach.Despite all the challenges the hotel, its restaurants and bars face, they continue to deliver an exceptional service for all their guests.Moving CLUB MILLÉSIME to Tea 5 was a stroke of genius. The best part of our stay was dinner and having Bogdan wait on his. He was excellent with great people skills and excellent customer service. I’d come back because he was so good at his job it made this stressful time for me seem a lot less stressful.

If your looking for a top notch place to stay to get a great nights rest before an early flight I would highly recommend this hotel. Beautifully clean, fabulously professional staff and if you get chance pop into the bar for snack and great service from Jesley who is very jovial and cannot do enough for you ..

This is a great hotel, with extremely easy access to heathrow terminal 5 from within the hotel.Food, drinks options and service in the sphere bar were excellent. Breakfast was fantastic in terms of the food quality, range of menu, and the staff. Katrina provided my table service and was very attentive and professional.I would definitely stay here again.

There is a pandemic. Things are difficult for all of us. This review is written with that in mind.There is no mention on the Sofitel website, or on any other booking site, that the spa is, and will remain, closed until next year. There was no reduction in the nightly rate to reflect that.I booked this hotel *specifically* so that we could use the spa, so it was a huge disappointment and a most unwelcome surprise to discover that this wasn't going to happen. I'd happily have stayed in a lower price hotel elsewhere had this been mentioned at the time of booking. When attempting to contact the hotel, on several occasions prior to check in, no one answered the phone and my emails went ignored. We politely requested some additional coffee. Housekeeping brought us decaff, which felt like a bit of an 'eff you'.The room was fine, but the overall impression is of an hotel where no one cares. That's a real failing in the world of 'hospitality'.I've rated 3 stars, but I've stayed in 3 star properties who perform FAR better across the board. Sofitel Heathrow was not even close to being a 5 star experience. They need to try significantly harder.

После выхода из зоны прилета идете направо до конца зала и выходите из терминала в сторону многоэтажной парковки, напротив крайние лифты справа, там же и указатель:). Регистрация прошла очень быстро, нам любезно повысили категорию номера. Номер просторный, абсолютно тихо, большая и очень удобная кровать, хорошее белье и косметика. Есть чайник, утюг. Розетки британские. Фен в комнате, для меня неудобно. В ванной откровенно темновато. Из минусов - у нас не было тапочек, халатов, зубных щеток, шапочки для душа, vanity set, щеток для одежды и обуви, рожка для обуви. Наверное, можно попросить и принесут. Но звонки на рецепшен каждый раз, когда не обнаруживаешь привычных вещей и их ожидание как- то не способствуют хорошему отдыху.

We stayed here in August 2020. The hotel is wonderful and well kept. In Covid 19 times everything was spotless and the staff kept us safe. We had a great meal in the restaurant with me having a delicious salmon and my wife having a vegan nut roast. We were served by Ansel and Jerry who attended to our every need. We will be back in the very near future and look forward to our stay.

We spent three nights here with another couple prior to getting onto a tour. The checkin was easy and friendly. The rooms were ready, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping always had our room done up and with clean towels, soap, etc.We enjoyed the restaurants and lounge. The staff at all the outlets were attentive and helpful.What else can I say? We would stay there again!!

My wife and I consider ourselves so fortunate that the Sofitel at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 even took us in at the height of the COVID-19 crisis--literally the last night the hotel was open before the British government ordered all hotels in England to close. After dealing with one canceled flight after another, we finally found ourselves at Heathrow, where we had a 24-hour overnight delay between connecting flights to the United States. We were resigned to the notion of spending 24 hours and sleeping in Heathrow Terminal 2. After being turned away at the Hilton Garden Hotel, we took a chance on Sofitel at Terminal 5 and were so happy that the general manager took a chance on us. He generously offered us a room--and an upgrade--for the night. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The room was fantastic in every way. The restaurant takeout service was amazing. The hotel staff--general manager, receptionists, and restaurant crew--could not have been nicer and more hospitable. We will never forget the wonderful care that Sofitel extended us under the extremely trying circumstances of this COVID-19 pandemic crisis. This experience turned us into true Sofitel fans. Many thanks to the folks at Sofitel Heathrow!

My one night stay here was very relaxing. It served my purpose to be close to the airport excellently. I found the internet access to guests strange, as it was limited and had to be separately paid for. That was such a downside.

Lovely menu, with many good simple favourites. Helpful staff, with efficient service. The food was served at the right temperature and garnished to perfection. Lovely tastes helped by the combination on the plate.

An excellent hotel, clean, calm and quiet: just what you need before or after a long flight. Restaurants are first class and again service here is attentive. Raymond in particular at breakfast was a star and couldn’t do enough for those he served.

Excellent service all round but at the breakfast room in particular. Ask for Raymond to look after you - so attentive and welcoming.

a contemporary hotel attached to terminal 5 of London's Heathrow Airport, beautifully appointed, nice sized rooms, easy check in and service, easy access to the airport, however a bit of a distance from the city (approximately 45 minutes). A wonderful french restaurant in the hotel as well as other food choices

Visited here many times for onward travel and business meetings Never disappointed! They are professional from booking in to room cleaning . Special mention to the breakfast . A chef with a personality Salia and Raymond the waiter wouldn’t let me get up to get anything . Service likened to that of a 6* Maldivian experience . First class and six stars . And I’m hard to impress !! Brilliant happy staff makes for excellent customer service .

I didn’t want to travel non-stop from the US to the Middle East. I requested and was granted a night stop at London's Heathrow Airport.The trick is to land and process in through Terminal 5. Unfortunately I came in through Terminal 1 and had to stumble around a bit. I thought I could catch a hotel bus to the Sofitel from any terminal but that isn’t the case. I was advised by a friendly hotel bus drive to go back into the Terminal 1, catch the train and go to Terminal 5. From there you can walk through the overhead tunnel straight to the hotel lobby, after an escalator and/or elevator ride. Bottom line here is that more improved signage in the other terminals would be a great help for Sofitel guests.After checkin the room itself was quite nice. It was comfortable, the temperature was stable and it didn't require fiddling. Most importantly, it was quiet.Restaurants are in the hotel; they were eye pleasing but I just munched at the bar and enjoyed a European football match on the TV with a few blokes. The next morning it was a casual walk to the BA flight checkin which was handled smoothly and efficiently.I can heartily recommend the Sofitel anytime you want some rest transiting London and don't want the hassel of leaving the airport. I really enjoyed my brief stay there and will use it again, next month, on my way back to the US from the Middle East.

This must be once of most comfortable hotels I have every frequented, I have nothing to fault and have only compliments for the staff and the room

Stayed here for 3 nights for a business conference. Brilliant location make it easy for drivers and those needing Heathrow. Rooms have all mod cons, bathrooms are on the larger side for airport hotels and the bed is comfy. The big plus is that the rooms are really quiet by airport hotel standards so you get a good nights sleep. Breakfast has a brilliant choice of food and the staff were very attentative. My only gripe was that none of the conference rooms have windows which is fine for a one day meeting but after 4 days in the basement it gets a bit much.

We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms. Number 3224. At 300$ cdn a night. We stayed one night before driving down to the coast for New years. The room was nice and mostly clean except for the chewed up gum stuck on the table by the phone. The next morning I took a shower and the drain wouldn't drain the water correctly and water poured out of the shower all through the room and floor. Very poor maintenance. The bar staff and food were great although overpriced. The hotel is located right at terminal 5 which makes it convent and costly. Next time I would take a taxi to a cheaper hotel at a 200% price . The hotel gets alot of business and my guess this placed it's not fine tuned like it should be. I definitely would not stay again.

This is a very smart hotel and attracts all business types and people who can afford a bit more.

Brilliant airport hotel. Short walk to the terminal. Our stay included parking and you cannot fault it. The hotel staff were friendly and the rooms were amazing.

Very friendly welcome by a lady from Greece who I shall not name for privacy concerns but you know who you are. The room is very comfortable bedding food quality bathroom amenities OK. Wifi is fast.

Beautiful very comfy stay and perfect for my flight to Vegas the next day. Exemplary staff who can’t do enough for you. Everything is spotlessly clean which is a must for me. Will always stay here now when in the Heathrow area.

I like most people had to catch an early morning flight on a Monday morning so elected to stay for the first time at a Sofitel hotel! It is very impressive in the reception area with lots of staff offering to help, so very friendly reception. The room was clean and modern and comfortable. However do think twice before trying room service and elect to go to one of their restaurants instead! I was a wee bit unwell and so decided to have room service and the quality of the food was not great! It is on this basis for my personal experience of the food quality that I rate it a 4 star But the hotel itself is I would say 5 stars!

I used to stay that the Hilton Heathrow Terminal 4 Hotel, which is extremely dated and the rooms are tiny. By comparison, this hotel is bright, fresh, and the rooms are a very nice size, especially for a London Airport Hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants are nice, I ate in the VIVRE - L'EXPERIENCE DES SAVEURS restaurant. It was a nice meal. It is a little bit of a walk from the terminal, but not terrible. Overall a pleasant stay

I was visiting for the Pilot Careers conference with a 2 night stay in the hotel itself.

The hotel is quite convenient especially for business meeting . Their breakfast is brilliant - good variety of a number of cuisines.

Both the evening and breakfast chefs were quite entertaining. Food, atmosphere, and staff were superior. The tea girl in TEA 5 Meryl was very attentive and helpful. Raymond the waiter in restaurant was kind, helpful and very efficient. thanks for a wonderful evening and morning before a 10 hr. flight to LA.

As the title of this review indicates this is a lovely hotel and immaculately clean throughout but lacks an atmosphere and soul, we stayed here at the beginning of our holiday in an luxury room with club room access, the only real disappointment was that our room had no external window but one that faced into the hotel bar... bizarre or what? The room itself other than overlooking a bar was spacious and relatively well equipped, however it was lacking a Nespresso or Tassimo like other similar hotels provide.

Upon arrival in Heathrow we found our connecting flight was canceled. British Airways couldn't have been more helpful and provided us with accommodation here with meals included. The room was clean and well presented apart from the bathroom which had mould on the ceiling. The restaurant food was a buffet style and not too bad. I would be interested to stay again as a paying guest to see if the room and food was any better

Walking distance from terminal 5 at LHR. Nice hotel. Great room but I did get an upgrade. With good restuarant. Staff friendly at check in + express check out option.

We ate at the economy restaurant in the hotel. We were tired of eating a lot of rich food for five weeks and were just looking for a basic meal.

The Sofitel was extraordinary. The beds and pillows enveloped us as we drifted off into a much needed dreamy sleep before flying home to Washington DC the following morning. Our holiday in Europe was blighted by a family member being hospitalized and we arrived weary. From the moment we pulled up to the Sofitel to the minute we left, we were welcomed and made to feel special. No-one knew our circumstance, yet we were treated by all the staff with care and attention. The porter who took our luggage to our room was especially helpful. I wish we'd taken his name as he deserves the recognition for going above and beyond. The rooms we were given on check-in had not yet been cleaned, but he took care of getting us reassigned to rooms that were ready for new guests, without us having to go back down to reception, which would have been inconvenient for me with my elderly mother in a wheelchair. Unbeknown to him, she'd suffered a heart attack 10 days earlier, yet he just treated us with such remarkable compassion and professionalism. We were lucky enough to have him pick-up our luggage in the morning too, demonstrating the same kindness. Hopefully he'll read this and know who he is (rooms 2310 & 2312 Aug 4). The staff in Tea 5 where we had afternoon tea and dinner were so lovely. And the bar staff who served us after my exhausted mother retired for the evening, were equally fabulous. We were so impressed and would happily have stayed a few more days to wind down after such a physically and emotionally draining trip. Thank you to all of the staff at the Sofitel London Heathrow Hotel. We will be back!

湖水地方5日間の旅を終えて、国内便でターミナル5 に到着しました。翌日に日本へ帰国するまで、24時間のロンドンの滞在を有意義にしてくれたのは、ターミナル5 にあるこの素晴らしいホテルのおかげです。チェックインもスムーズで、親切なフロントの女性は、部屋まで案内してくれました(ホテルは広いのです)。スーツケースを置いて、安心してロンドンめぐりを楽しむことができました(スーツケースを持って、ロンドンの中心部へ行く必要がないのは、とても、リーズナブルと言えます)。ホテルに帰り、シャワールームとバスタブのある、ゆったりとしたバスルームで疲れをとり、清潔な部屋で休むことが出来て、さすがに五つ星ホテルです。翌日の、BA便15:45発まで、まだまだ時間活用できました。

Booked a luxury room with Club Lounge access.

Our “Luxury” room was fairly large with two reclining Scandinavian type chairs. Everything seemed pretty new and didn’t have much wear. Air conditioning worked well but was slow to adjust to new temperature setting. The room was clean and quiet with no noise from the airport.

This hotel is exceptional quality - we were lucky to have a complimentary upgrade too to the superior category which was very good of the hotel!

Have use this hotel group many times before.Always been very satisfied very comfortable beds very clean professional staff that go out that way to be helpful And with Car Parking on site and being able to walk directly to the terminal in a matter of minutes it’s a perfect way to start a holiday or short break with no hassles and worries about being on time for your flight

Both meals a disappointment. Late lunch in the Tea Room was terrible, dinner in the main dining room also a disaster. Never really looking for great food in a hotel, but this was beyond being bad.

We had to travel via Heathrow this year for our family summer holiday so had a night in the Sofitel prior to our BA departure from terminal 5.

Their upscale restaurant was closed on a Sunday night, but we didn't want to take transportation outside the hotel as we had a 4:00am wakeup. We were thinking that this lobby restaurant would be a typical "coffee shop" style of restaurant. Not so! It had a varied menu and really excellent Indian food (try the Butter Chicken--yum), along with many other good items. It was not an extra trip somewhere after a tired day of travel and an early flight out.

We enjoyed a very pleasant leisurely breakfast this morning and were served impeccably by Raymond who was very polite and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he is a credit to the organisation - Well done to Raymond and kitchen team 👏

This is an excellent hotel, which has some good conference facilities. The management & staff were friendly & most helpful and it is of course conveniently placed @ Heathrow terminal 5, especially if people fly in for the meeting.

A perfect stay to start a holiday to Florence. Easy book in , Porter service, Dinner at a choice of in-house restaurants. Dinner wAs second to none.

Very good dining offerings especially the breakfast which has an extensive and well prepared offering including Indian food. Staff and service were outstanding.

Arrived back in the UK from a regular trip to Germany and ended up staying here due to an Issue with BA luggage which BA paid for.

Stayed overnight and parked up the car prior to flying out to The US. Hotel joins directly to T5. An excellent hotel offering excellent menus for the evening - I am sure breakfast is OK as well but always seem to leave very early.

The staff at the hotel were very endearing. From the moment I entered the hotel I felt welcomed. The staff were professional, helpful and very friendly. The room was immaculate. I had a wonderfully relaxing stay and look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended.

Whilst waiting for my friends flight to arrive i thought i would treat myself to dinner somewhere decent.

The Sofitel offers a fantastic breakfast at a reasonable cost per person for what you get. You can either have a cooked breakfast of continental. There's plenty of food to choose from.

We had a wonderful dinner for 2 after a long day of travel. Dinner was made great by our very kind and professional waiter, Marek! He had excellent menu suggestions and our meal choices were subsequently perfect. Also, wine selection is always a hit and miss process for us but Marek offered a tasting of 3 different whites to help us make our selection. In addition, we were seated in full view of the open kitchen so we could view the chefs at work.

I enjoyed an excellent Americano, great lunch, nice atmosphere topped by awesome and polite service from Stella

We ate here ahead of our flight and the service, food and experience were all exactly what we needed ahead of our journey.
