Soaltee Nepalese Cuisine in Spelthorne

Went here tonight and had the most delicious and succulent mixed Tandoori grill. They always get this so right which is why I choose it! So many restaurants of this type produce overcooked and dry meat but this is not the case here. You are treated as friends by the staff who are very efficient and genuinely care about the experience you have in their restaurant. A real gem in Ashford High Street!!

I love this place. The owners are always cheerful and the food is excellent. The chef creates original dishes based on Nepali cuisine and really knows his stuff. Great atmosphere.

This is the second time we have visited for a meal here, and I have to say, quality has started to drop. The first time we ate here it was amazing on quality, quantity and flavour, but alas even though we said on that first night, please don’t change any of these things it is clear this is not the 5 star place it once was. Main problems were dry chicken breast that seemed like it was cooked the day before being sliced and simply added to the sauce, hardly any in there. Lamb quality not as good, tougher meat. This should not happen, I know it’s making more profit for the resturant but it should be lovely chunky pieces of juicy chicken cooked in your curry not added after. We also had a real problem with the lack of dimension to any of the dishes, all spices not just chilli were missing. It was bland not just mild, where as before it had great depth of spice upon spice layers. Such a shame.

I had the Nepalese equivalent of an Indian thali....rice, tarka dahl, tandoori chicken, lamb curry and a sweet sour chicken. Salad and mint yoghurt. All side dish / starter sizes other than the rice but outstanding value for under £13. Well done, I will be back with friends and family 👍

Ordered a timed delivery and they disregarded the time requested and a lamb dish was missing. We called and they sent the missing dish, however it arrived after we had nearly finished. Food was good, however I will not be ordering from them again. I don’t know why they don’t double check the order before it’s dispatched.

Visited this restaurant for the 2nd time. This is a true gem with stunningly delicious food, at remarkable value, served by lovely husband and wife team. This has got to be up there with some of the best food I've tasted. The tandoori panner was excellent in both presentation and flavour. Thank you both and compliments to your Chef for a great experience.

It is a really nice restaurant with delicious Nepalese cuisine (reasonably priced), a fun and authentic atmosphere, and helpful/friendly staff. We will definitely return!

Fantastic food, amazing prices if you go for the Wednesday or Sunday night deal. Owners were a bit shy but friendly none the less. Atmosphere wasn't as high as I've rated it but that's because this place isn't as busy as it deserves to be. A true hidden gem.

Worst place ever gave me uncooked food from the freezer food looked like it was sitting in there for months the food smelled off and slime wouldn't give my refund food went in the bin the guy on the phone was really rude and unprofessional and wouldn't even give me his name avoid food from here of you don't want to get sick I'm really disgusted by this restaurant just to make quick money they will go out there way to make you sick and probably kill you thier restaurant needs to be closed before they actually poison someone

This is honestly the worst restaurant I’ve been to. Took over two hours for food and it was awful when it arrived. The restaurant was up in arms as we all waited so long. Will not return to this restaurant.They have lost a lot of custom tonight!!

Made us wait for over an hour to get food and there was no interaction at all from the waiting staff in the meantime. Furthermore, the portion sizes were drastically smaller compared to what had been served over the years as we were regular customers. Not sure how the couple seated next to us appeared to have twice the plate sizes of food either. They didn't appear to have enough water glasses so water was served in wine glasses. Small detail but all adds to the overall experience.

Awful experience. Ordered a takeaway and food smelled foul and it felt like food has gone off. When called the restaurant to complain that food tastes stale, the restaurant said we can take your opinion on board. Rubbish experience. This was first and lady experience. I do hope and pray that the restaurant gets inspected for food safety.

Went with my daughter and boyfriend with my wife, Fabulous food and service , it was very noisy due to the low ceiling and nothing on the walls to absorb the noise but we will be going back, Ram and the staff couldn’t do enough , I asked if they had cooked the ‘staff curry’ and what it was ? chicken on the bone , you can guess what I had as it’s my favourite.

With a couple of friends we tried for the first time Friday 11th of august , we received a very warm welcome on arrival . Then the food we had was really nice and tasty , no to mention the best Peshawary nan we ever had . We will go back and are recommending to our friends , no doubt !

Amazing Nepalese and Indian food, Momos are spot on!!

I've been to the Soaltee a couple of times in the last two weeks. I didn't dine in but I collected my takeaways from the restaurant. Firstly, I should say that the restaurant is busy and all the diners looked really happy. The owner and staff were very friendly and professional, but not creepy as is sometimes the case. On the first occasion, I'd ordered the Samundari Parikar seafood curry and I was disappointed. It was quite expensive, but the only sealife that I could find were prawns - a good portion of prawns but I'm not a fan and it wasn't what I was expecting. I'd had an excellent fish curry elsewhere that week and I thought that perhaps I'd just ordered the wrong dish. My wife had a Chicken Korma, rice and sag paneer that was fine. Last night they were busy again. I'd ordered chicken tikka, rices and sag paneer for two. We really enjoyed our food, it was excellent and I'm really looking forward to coming back next week. Shout out to the lady who took my cash. I gave her £60 instead of £30 and she quickly told me I'd messed up and gave me my money back. Thank you Soaltee.

Fair play, the food here has improved hugely from when it first opened. Had the rara chicken, delicious. Ordered chips for little one..skinny chips a bonus. Husband loved the jalfrezi. All super easy to order through google too 👍

Food was delicious came for Sunday banquet night that has a very reasonable price. It was great, very friendly service and everything spotlessly clean. Came in a large group, which was no problem at all for them and everyone agreed how good it was . No food was left!!

Great local Nepalese Restaurant, I don't think think within 5 miles you will find a better Indian/Nepalese Restaurant. Ram (the owner) really looks after you and seems like a family run business. Try their Himali Chicken, Gorkhali Chicken/Lamb and their Momo. These are best and full of flavors.

I was a bit disappointed as the dishes were a lot more like Indian than Nepalese food.

Fabulous evening last night for 6 of us at this restaurant. Exceptional standard of food and excellent service. Pleasant ambience and beautifully set tables with white linen table cloths and polished cutlery. We will definitely book again!

Very very poor... have used the restaurant several times the quality has varied depending on what was ordered, but today was an all time low. No meal was as we expected, all were quite unpleasant.

I've been here many times in person and for takeaway, we really like the place. Food is virtually always good (had 1 or 2, "what was the chef thinking" occasions) , and reasonably priced. I've moved away from Ashford so we rarely get it these days unless we're passing through visiting family. One of the better, if not best, Indian/Nepalese/Bangladeshi category places in Ashford Surrey(yes I know its Nepalese!)

I have been to this Nepalese Restaurant as part of a group, several times & on each occasion we have all really enjoyed the experience. The food is good, very reasonably priced, place is clean & the owners & staff are very attentive & friendly.

Very disappointed. Expensive. Fills half portion of main dishes in container. Someone at restaurant picked up the call and was very rude ,got excited and started to argue . pathetic attitude. In food industry this is the worst behaviour, bad customer service.

Ordered here on new years eve, the restaurant was so busy and they were very busy with deliveries and collection. They still provided with five star food! Absolutely delicious and amazing service from the staff, they really went above and beyond. My mum is coeliac and they knew exactly what food she was unable to have. Poped in late on a cold Tuesday, incredibly helpful and very friendly staff. Delicious food, would recommend the pakora's as a starter. Chef open to adding/removing ingredients to taste. Very pleased and will go back.

First time using this restaurant as our normal Nepalese restaurant is closed for renovations. Portions are ridiculously small. 5 piece lamb sekua for £5 was a ripoff and was covered in chilli sauce. Never had lamb sekua like it before. Was awful. Their chilli chicken tasted like a reheated Chinese takeaway chicken. Also, 5 piece momos for £4.5. - again - ripoff compared to ANY other Nepalese restaurant in the area. Most restaurants do 10 pieces for cheaper. Also, they ONLY sell chilli momos. Very disappointed. Will NOT use you again. Will be going to Gurkha Durbar once opened again.

We have always enjoyed Soaltee Nepalese. The staff are so friendly and the food is delicious. More recently their dishes have started to taste even better. I'm not sure if they have a new chef or reworked their recipes but the food is just divine. I would recommend the salmon tikka starter, and a lamb gorkhali for the main with a garlic naan.

Very very bad service for takeaways. This has happened to me twice now so will not be using this restaurant again. Unprofessional and disappointing. Would have thought the service industry would be on their game after a disastrous 2020. Disappointing

We have just had the most amazing curry delivered! Fresh & piping hot! Best curry in the local area and to top it off, service is first class! Already looking forward to my next one...

This was the first time using Soaltee after seeing good reviews.... Ordered online for collection, once got home didn't have all the food ordered. Phoned and they sent out the missing orders. When opening mains realised that the chicken dish ordered was actually lamb!!!! Couldn't be bothered to contact again.... Must say that the food was very flavorsome, but not much meat, and sides again were more sauce than substance.

Completely disappointed with the food tonight. We have religiously ordered from here for years but tonight was the worst. The food was late with one rice missing. King Prawn rogan was full of broken shells and a completely raw prawn. The garlic rice was full of raw garlic along with a mouldy clove (see photo) which turned my stomach. Will not be ordering from here again and will go back to Shappis.

Hi, ordered today four dishes from soaltee Nepalese cuisine . Very disappointed with the food . The paneer was not properly cooked and mushroom garlic was stale . Called the Resturant and requested to take it back as it was tasted bad and stale and quality of food was rubbish the manager of the restaurant bluntly said please donot order it again as we cannot take the food back . Requested to send mild food for my son but it was too spicy and literally has to throw it in the bin. Low grade quality and down class and rude staff . Thanks

Never again! I order from place. The lamb meat was like a chewing on rubber and the sauce tasted was like “dish washer water”.

Ordered some food, they delivered my to a wrong address and had to call to ask where my food was, they eventually came late and the food was cold. I will never order from this place again.

This was probably the biggest mistake we have made for a long time. Don't treat ourselves often but it's Bank Holiday. Everything was mediocre except the Chicken Madras which was soup with a couple of tasteless chicken pieces thrown in. Never again. Delivery.

Have wanted to visit this restaurant since opening, but never got around to it. Have ordered 2 x takeaways now during lockdown and both have been delicious, fresh, hot and with great service. Can highly recommend!

Staff friendly and helpful didn't rush us service was excellent wasn't kept waiting . Every time we go food is absolutely delicious . Only down side we got take away during lockdown was not as tasty we will only be visiting from now on
