Snax in the City in Coventry

This place is good value for money. Average food but nice. Ordered a hot chocolate and the mug was massive. Food came out quickly we went first thing in the morning. I had a full English breakfast and my partner had a cheese and onion panini. Enjoyed it all.

Lovely and quick service, breakfast was very nice. Prices include a hot drink. Overall very happy, likely to come back again.

Visited for breakfast and after it was delivered we still hadn't recieved our drinks, had to remind the staff what we ordered and we had to ask for the table to be cleaned as it was dirty from previous customers. The 3 members of staff working seemed to be running around everywhere and still not alot to be going on, customers also behind us had their order wrong also.

Typical "greasy spoon" style cafe in Coventry city centre. Order at the counter. Service was fine, food was satisfactory but nothing felt like it was made from decent quality ingredients. Wouldn't rush back.

I visit here every few months or so and have never had a problem. I always have a large full English breakfast here and it's very tasty and great value for money. You get a tea or coffee included in the price as well. Only disappointing thing is they have recently increased their prices but it is still very good value.

Decided to try this cafe for breakfast a couple weeks ago when I was visiting a friend. I had a lovely full English and a slice of carrot cake. Staff was very nice and the breakfast was good value for money and fresh. Would definitely recommend!!!

Good value cafe friendly staff love their sausage & mushroom sandwiches and a mug of piping hot tea. Well situated in broadgate city centre. Seating outside as well as inside

We fancied a drink and snack and found this Cafe, in the middle of the town. Staff were really friendly and efficient. We had toasted sandwiches which were really nice, soft drinks from the chiller cabinet and a mug of instant coffee - bliss! A really good value, down to earth cafe, it looked like the favourite meal is customers was the All day breakfast

I called in this place and ordered a jacket potato with tuna mayo - it arrived - looked nice but half way through the potato was undercooked. I waited until there was no one at the counter and then took it back and explained I had a problem. The young staff looked amazed that I was complaining - they did offer me another jacket potato - I declined as I had already eaten half. I was informed that I could have another one and that was it - no room for negotations - take it or leave it. I told them a discount would have been appropriate. I just got the silent look on their faces. Oh well will have to find another cafe that is interested in my custom - very disappointed.

I suggest no one ever enters this property that somehow is allowed to serve food from it. I walk in not only does it look rank and run down I sit down look around and see dirt everywhere!! The girl working in dirty clothes no apron was taking plates from the tables inside and not even wiping the tables. Food all over all of them. Customers sat waiting for there plates to be taken for about 30 mins while waiting the flys had already festered the place because of the plates being left not moved. The chairs were so dated and scrapped the floor every time someone moved on them. The sauces on the tables were stained to death with dried up sauce defiantly never been anti bacd in there life. The signs for the table numbers next to the tables covered in food. The table on the right hand side nearest the till had food under it all and crisp packets. The floor was disgusting. Looking around the whole place made me feel dirty and unhygienic. The only plus was the breakfast me and my friend had was lovely a proper English breakfast and was really tasty other than that I would not eat here again and I doubt many others would either.

I went to snax in the city which is based in a shopping precinct in Coventry My first impression of snax is the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. there was a good variety of food on the menu and was very reasonable priced .the place had a lovely atmosphere. I ordered my hot drink and food and was asked if I'm sitting inside or going out side in the seating area it was nice to have a choice to sit inside snax where there is a large TV screen showing a video of music Or go outside in the seating area which has tables and chairs and is covered from the rain and great for summer or winter..the food was excellent the staff are very friendly.and the boss is a nice guy. Snax is a place for anyone

I had an all day breakfast here, everything cooked to perfection. Hot and tasty £3.99. lovely staff and quick service. I recommend you try it, you will not be disappointed.😊

Having some time to pass before catching a train to Brum on a Sunday morning, we were looking around Coventry for some breakfast. We happened to come upon this establishment based in a shopping precinct. We were delighted to find it as our hopes of locating somewhere open around 09:00 was quite remote.The girl serving was very friendly and very efficient in supplying us with 4 breakfast sandwiches which went down a treat and very reasonably priced, proper crispy bacon, sausages and fried eggs on fresh bread. It was one of the nicest breakfasts we've had. You could do a lot worse than pop in here.

I went into Snax in the City for a Breakfast after reading the review "Best English Breakfast in Cov". I was not impressed as there was one person working doing drinks and cooking meals, leaving me waiting Forty Minutes for this breakfast. I sat waiting feeling myself getting older whilst waiting. So if you do go here make sure that you have enough time on your parking ticket. If another member of staff isn't taken on to help with breakfasts, Snax in the City could lose customers

Been Here Often----Staff Always Attentive and A Wide Choice Of Snacks As Well As Lunches . Always Cooked To Order But Never Had A Long Wait ! One Of The Best Places For Egg and Chips !

If you want a big fat, greasy full english breakfast then go to snax. Have been going there throughout all my years of Uni and we all love it.

El café parece medio decente, pero nos cobraron 75 p por chocolatina Snickers, que ni siquiera fue una de tamaño completo! Es un pack de varios estados que claramente no venderse por separado! Went there for a quick breakfast/lunch when visiting a friend. The food came quick and the English Breakfast was nice! Atmosphere was alright, the decor was quite plain too. Overall, a nice little cafe in Coventry

The moment we walked towards the door the staff open it and leap on you to get you a table, terrified lof losing any business. Sat down and ordered and food did come very quickly but only as they are DESPERATE to get people in and out so quickly! The food was very greasy, chips seemed ro have been re-fried a few times. Hash browns were not nice. We felt on edge and uncomfortable eating as they were over you rushing you on. They were sitting people at others peoples tables just to keep them, and weren't asking diners if that was ok! Terrible service, over cooked greasy and cheap tasting food. Bad quality. Avoid.

Stopped here for a bacon batch with friends just after 7 in the morning, there was only four of us in there at first then a couple of other people came in. It took over 40 minutes for our food to come out and when it did it the bacon was overdone, tough and dry. The persons that came in after us had ordered full breakfasts and they got their meals before we did!!!! It's over priced, I can't remember exactly what we paid but as it was a little while ago but we wouldn't go back or recommend it when there are cheaper places to eat in the town centre, it's just that they were open and we had never tried it before. It would be well worth waiting for other cheaper eateries that serve breakfast to open.

wanna have good and delicious snacks, snax in the city is the best for it. the location is awesome and food quality is amazing.

When I visit Coventry which is usually about once a month I always eat at Snax in the City. The food is always freshly cooked and of good quality. I only usually have a snack, but I have seen people having breakfast and lunch and these look just as good. The cafe is a bit dark inside because it is in a shopping precinct. If you are in Coventry and want a hot full value meal or snack this is the place to go.

Was looking for a breakfast at 7:30 on Saturday morning (28th Feb) in Coventry City Centre. It was cold, wet and raining so I felt the need for some comfort food.I hadn't tried Snax before, so it was great to try a new (to me) place. Their large breakfast deal is fantastic value at £4.99 including a big mug of tea. Two toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, beans, mushrooms and two hash browns served on a huge square plate. The guy was very polite and helpful and the nosh hit the spot and was very satisfying and very good quality. This is better quality than Wetherspoons breakfast and cheaper too. Reminds me of the good old days of formica topped tables, juke boxes and not fearing for your life every five minutes. Will deffo go again. Fab.

On a shopping trip to Coventry we stopped here for lunch, greeted very politely and served very efficiently. The food was excellent quality and we did not have long to wait. My large breakfast was lovely and I would recommend it, definitely return when we next go to Coventry

I went up to Coventry with a group of mates last weekend and after a heavy Friday night we went looking for a hangover cute; as I have been disappointed with some of the fry ups in the local pubs I finally decided to try Snax in the City (after years of walking past it.For about £5, you could get a massive fru up which left all the local competition standing,It was such a surprise hit that we all went back the following morning as well!If you're in Coventry and need a cooked breakfast then here's your answer!

We visited for lunch on a Friday lunchtime, I ordered a prawn baguette which was lovely, the bread was very tasty. My boyfriend had a tuna and cheese panini which he enjoyed. I had a tap water and my boyfriend a can of Diet Coke and our bill came to around £7. There was lots of other things on the menu that looked nice too.There was a constant stream of people whilst we were in the cafe which is a good sign. I would definitely visit here if I was in Coventry again, it is much better than other branded chains of coffee shops.The staff were also very friendly :-)

Came across this by accident, great little cafe that offers brilliant food at great value prices. Typical cafe food, proper tea, very friendly service and tables very clean too. Don't tell too many people though, it's a hidden gem!

Best English in Coventry. The big breakfast is great value ...totally fills you up and comes with a free drink for less than a fiver. Good quality ingredients Freshly cooked to order . Recently tried the salads which always fresh ... Would definitely recommend with their homemade coleslaw . Staff really look after you here and it's nice to be able to put the little one in baby chair and not worry while eating.

I have stopped here a few times for snacks and the occasional full English breakfast. I have found the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient without fail. There is a good range of snacks and light meals on offer for very reasonable prices. The decor is basic but clean and comfortable. This is probably the best value place for a light meal in the centre of Coventry and luckily the staff are friendly too. I'm sure I'll be back sometime.

I go here frequently for breakfast when in town with my husband, friends or family.Never had a problem - food is always fresh and popping hot.Great value for money .Staff are frequently and approachable.I recommend to anyone .

This was one of my favourite places to grab lunch in town but it seems that lately, it is always shut. I am wondering if it has been shut down? However, whether it has or not, it was a fantastic place if you just want to grab a cheap meal. The prices are low, the food quality is high and the staff always deliver service with a smile.

I visited snax in the city again on Saturday it was great food was lovely staff were welcoming ad polite... I must say snax is the best cafe in the west midlands that I have attended great work snax keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been to snax in the city a few times everytime I have been there the staff are so welcoming and make you feel at home the cafe has changed since being taken over by the new owners sam and Krissy I would recommend this cafe to every one they treat every person the same and make you feel great keep it up snax..

Burger was great, bap was soft and perfectly moist, asked for fried onions and some other custom toppings - was very pleased. Chips were crispy and not greasy, and the service - surprisingly enough, was actually quite nice and charming.My snaxuality was fully satiated. I will return when I'm back in Coventry.

a really friendly cafe in the center of Coventry,the food was really tasty and not your usual British cafe food. I had a omelet with chips and was really happy with the size of the portions and left well fed and not to light of pocket..:-) so thumbs up all round! The banter with the friendly staff is always nice ...I look forward to my Saturday brekkie in Cov, well done "Snax".
