When out with friends to enjoy a nice stake food arrived late and cold and one of the waiters was look over my shoulder like I'm some kind of a convicted fellow they charged overly proce for not decent food I would not recommend

Went here for lunch the staff were helpful but for the price point the food was a little lacking in my personal opinion

I ordered first time from this shop today , it was absolutely delicious food, beef burger was cooked properly, food was fresh and tasty , I will definitely recommend to my family and friends, thank you smokeyboys 🙏👍

Small portions over priced burgers, they need to learn from Burger Daddy

I recently visited Smoky Boys and was thoroughly impressed. The chips with Cajun salt were a delightful start—crispy and seasoned to perfection. The Smokey Bad Boy Burger (beef) lived up to its reputation, with the Bad Boy Suicide Sauce adding a fiery kick that made each bite irresistible. At £15 for both the fries and burger, it was money well spent. I'll definitely be returning again and again for this flavorful experience.

Best takeaway burger I ever had

Food delivered cold and quality was absolutely abysmal. Had the ‘Topdog’ which couldn’t be any further removed from its namesake. A withered, sorry looking beef hotdog, that looked like it had been nuked in the microwave, then charred on grill (for that ‘authentic’ BBQ taste). An inedible, monstrosity at £16.95 with delivery with chips (also cold on delivery) Oh yes, also the bun…drier than sand A JOKE A MEAL

Went mid week with the kids, friendly service, great burger, fries and milkshake. Definitely be going back.

Stopped in here for dinner before getting the tube to the O2. Very clean. Welcoming atmosphere and staff. Polite and friendly staff. Food was stunning and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

Ordered food online via Deliveroo. The wrong order was sent. Then told we had to come into the restaurant to place the order again and pay for the order again also we had to take it up with Deliveroo and chase a refund. Get back home with the correct order and the chicken fillet in the burger has one black hair stuck in the bread crumbs of the chicken and then lots of white hairs on the outside of the chicken fillet. Couldn't eat it. The burger and chips both Luke warm and can't say the chips tasted fresh. Taste is they had been re-warmed.

Ive been going to smoky boys ever since it opened six years ago and it is the best burger place in amersham by far!

Been coming here for a few years now. Very friendly staff (Xavier is great), great tasting food and nice ambience. My personal fav dish is the slow cooked ribs!

Very tasty burgers! Had the cheese burger and the smoky bacon. Both very delicious, and they have GF options for buns as well as clearly marked menus with GF. The milkshakes were also really amazing, the mango and the kinder Bueno in particular. Overall a great experience, we had a late lunch/early dinner which means the service was super fast. Really great experience overall, would love to thry the other burgers .

Great skin-on fries, crunchy on outside, soft on inside. Were made very quickly, as we were in a rush. Definitely recommend

Got a takeaway from this place and it's cost me a tooth. I bit into a bone in their burger patty and it's cracked my tooth and resulted in an extraction. Expect better quality burgers when you pay these prices.

Beware: they've changed the cheese burger and removed the lettuce and onions. It's now just a dull burger with gherkins and ketchup (and cheese). It's much more like the bland offering that you get from McDonalds and nothing like a gourmet burger.

Called in when in area working ordered a take out the person serving was very friendly and helpful, food was excellent had the sweet & Smokey burger but best of all was the milkshake peanut & banana delicious !!!

Disappointed they did not have any Robs as this was the reason I picked this place. I had a burger and was tastey. IPA was weak.

We had a lovely meal last night. The older gentleman who served us was excellent. Courteous and helpful. He's doing a fab job. Had 2 for 1 mocktails for happy hour. Lovely little find in Amersham 🤗

Very tasty burger & great service

I don't get how this place has any good reviews. The food is served luke warm and the drinks are handed to you as soon as you place your order. By the time the food arrives the drink goes flat. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Ordered a cheeseburger and chicken strips and a shake. The shake was very tasty and thick, the chicken strips tender and succulents and the burger cooked nice. Only thing was they forgot the cheese on the cheeseburger !

One of my favourite restaurants in Amersham. Ribs and burgers are the best dishes in my opinion.

Burgers were bland with little flavour. Chips for myself and wife were undercooked. Massively overpriced. Not worth it and not satisfying.

I was thinking this place would be good given there are two other branches in central London… very wrong, I assume this is a case of being a sub-par franchise. Ordered Steak & Chips, Brisket Burger and a Caesar Salad. Steak was ordered medium, was over cooked and wellington boot chewy, inedible. Chips were hard and the peppercorn sauce microwaved and hotter than molten lava. The Brisket Burger was an overload of sauce, sloppy. And then there’s the Caesar salad with its bitter vinegar sauce, akin to something a student at university would put together. I was not going to write this review, but the “that’s how you ordered it” attitude of staff combined with no attempt to make the situation, when faced with entirely uneaten plates, any better led me to, don’t make the same error of judgement that I did. (2 stars because the food came out in a good time and the restaurant was clean/pleasant)

Great tasting food, fresh and good quality. Service was fine, though drinks took a little while to arrive at the table, given the size of the place.

We order online and collect, so can't comment on the atmosphere, but the food is delicious, the portion size is good and it's always steaming hot when collected. Prices compare well against similar outlets, and the dishes are consistently of a high quality. Not super exciting, but dependable, tasty and filling. Parking to collect can be an issue, so we usually go together and one stays with the car while the other grabs the order. Works well as the food is always ready and waiting.

This is an excellent place to go to if you are around. It isn't cheap, so be prepared to spend around £40 to eat well with drinks included. I would definitely recommend this place. The beef ribs shown are out of this world. Update May 2022 This is still a great place, and I have updated the rating to 5 stars. Waitress was rather Blunt and not super helpful. Buns not grilled and cold. Quite poor all round unfortunately. Not impressed. Was once really good.

smokey boys has been a firm family favourite since its opening. its a great place to eat out at or even grab a takeaway. love the nachos to start and all the burgers are amazing. if you get the chicken its so juicy and the wings and ribs are both so flavoursome. the milkshakes are a great way to end the meal. service is always great and they are so attentive and all round lovely people. all in all a great place to eat and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

It wasn’t bad but wasn’t great … was expecting far more of that BBQ experience but just got a regular burger that you can get anywhere really.

Got charged £33 for three of this! And told they cannot refund and will just give me £10 off my next visit which is not even enough money to buy another crap, cold 'burger' at £12 per burger with no fries. Will absolutely never go back. Feeling upset and massively ripped off.

The food could be a bit better but I will definitely go back for the customer service the waitress gave me ! She is absolutely amazing and does an amazing job ! When I wanted to tips her she told me she would prefer us to come back then give her money! I appreciate it a lot !

It's a lovely little place, responsive staff and good value. We had the £22 platter for 2, and would recommend as its good value. We squeezed in a milkshake and brownie. The brownie portion was enormous!!! Bathroom was clean. Would visit again.

Always a good burger. I've been eating from Smoky Boys for more than 5 years now and never had a bad taste or experience. Their prices have remained solid and reasonable throughout the pandemic and crunch time which is why you will find loyal regulars over here. This is a gourmet burger place so the stuff is as healthy as it can get with burger (no deep fried junk food meat available here). The variety and taste is as best as it can get.

Terrible take away disgusting food. The ribs were so bad I could not eat them . They charged me £19.20 for a load of rubbish and cold food.

Always reliably good. Dynamite wings are v. hot. Addictive though! Had the Chicken burger and daughter had the wrap. Both great.

Their chicken is not free range as confirmed by an employee even though their website states high quality meat. Disappointing to say the least.

I went expecting a bbq restaurant but found a burger restaurant that sells a little bbq. The burgers we ordered were good if not a little on the pricey side. All in all OK just not what I was expecting No Brisket main No pulled pork main ect...

Very nice grilled chicken - dynamite sauce is intense.... My only ISSUE with this place is that they charge £3 for fries, which is a handful at the most and I've never once had nicely cooked fries from here(usually rock hard and over done) I simply can't have an entire meal because the chips are terrible - so I only buy chicken - it's a shame because if they cooked nice fries I would visit more often for dinner, no chips, no meal. Its a snack grab for me.

Ordered food for delivery. The food was not delivered 2 hours later. I called up the restaurant numerous times to check and the staff reassured it will be delivered within 2 minutes and driver around the corner, but the food never arrived. After waiting for the order to be delivered for so long,I called up to cancel the order, then staff said it was a case of driver not being able to find the address! Mind you, I have had delivery from Smoky Boys before . And only 5 minutes away from the restaurant, the house is not at all difficult to find. I don’t have any problem with the food, but the attitude of the staff is disgusting and very unprofessional .

Heard about this place for a while so me and my partner decided to try it. What can I say, it was fantastic. Service was bang on from the moment we got there. Very friendly staff, didn't feel pressured to order straight away. Food arrived piping hot and was portioned out very well. A very well dining experience, and highly recommend this place. Will definitely be back if I'm in the area. Place was very clean and Tidy and a relaxed atmosphere. Price was fair. Thank you guys.

An amazing night out me and my family had. We was welcomed really nice and very polite. The stuff made sure all we order was correct and also most important it was on time as they said. The food was really good we asked who made it and they said Mr Alex and we wanna say a big thank you for the amazing food you have cooked definitely one of the most friendly and polite person we have seen he was always happy and with a smile on his face. We recommend this place to anyone that wants to go there and enjoy themselves.

The place was amazing the food and the staff was really nice. All the food was brought in time and was nice and warm. Mostly wanna say Alex did an amazing job he was very friendly and very polite. He made sure we got exactly what we ordered and the food he made was amazing just the way we liked it. No not expect delivery on time from this place. We were told our delivery would be here at 1950 and at 2135 it's still not here. Eepeated calls are fobbed off. No customer service, no apology, nothing. We've ordered twice from here before but never again.

I recently made a takeaway order at Smokey Boys in Amersham. Bought their deal of two burgers, a side, a bite and a brownie. Brownie was completely burnt. Couldn't even get a knife through it. Called them up and was told i'd receive a new one within 30 mins. Waited an hour and 20 mins and then called again for them to say it was on the way. Still waiting and haven't received it and it's been another 30 mins. And I live within 7 mins drive of the place.

Puzzled by the glowing reviews because I went there for lunch today and the ribs were probably the worst I've ever had – dry and rubbery with no flavour whatsoever other than the BBQ sauce slathered on it. I had a really miserable time trying to finish my meal, even though the portions were rather generous. The staff were very friendly though and the ambience was alright but the food just was so horrible that I'm not sure if I'd visit again.

Went out of their way and then some to make a child's birthday fun, even when the tired one's started flagging.

I’ve had takeaway and eaten in numerous times but the restaurant has gone downhill. This evening it was clear the burger/chips had been a while since cooked and just not good at all. I would rather pay more for delivery or be warned it could take a bit longer in order to arrive in good condition.

Visiting the place was the greatest experience I had in terms of service and amazing food/drink. Firstly the cocktails were delicious and worth every penny. The food was fantastic, wings were insane and the burgers are crazy good. The happy hour on cocktails made it even better. Overall 10/10 for this place, will for sure be coming back here more often

i went to eat there yesterday afternoon. the food took a while to come and when it came the the bun was dry and so was the meat the chips were cold and the macaroni looked like it had been re-heated. terrible food. i sent the food back, and the second time they sent the food, they forgot to remove the chilli sauce and ruined my burger. the meat was still overcooked. i have been here a few times but very disappointed with the food quality. gone down hill

I used to love this place. Over ordered here dozens of times. Ordered at 8-10pm. Rang them at 9-20. After ringing three times. Told me it would be here in 15 mins. It’s now 9-45pm they’ve turned the phones to answerphone and not answering. I’m starving with no food and no answer. You’ve just lost probably one of your most loyal customers, I’m Disgusted. Where’s my food/money? I will NEVER order again. Disgusted by this complete disrespect. At least answer your phone.
