Fantastic coffee house. Probably the best coffee in Norwich and friendly helpful staff. I'm about to buy my first espresso machine and they had plenty of helpful advice (and a really good choice of beans)

Always get the most delicious coffee from here, with new varieties added to the menu regularly. The staff are always helpful and friendly, and I love the quirky design of the packaging and the merch. Can't complain

Had lunch here yesterday- fabulous. A little bit off the beaten track but so worth the walk. Great coffee and awesome sourdough goats cheese sandwich. The brownies looked amazing but I behaved myself-next time though!! Chilled out place and friendly owners Megan and Sophie. Nice selection of coffees to buy. either as whole beans or ground as required. I’ll definitely visit again. 👍

Having visited Smokey Barn several times now, I have always had brilliant, friendly service. The coffees I have enjoyed have been some of the best I’ve ever had. The food is very reasonable and comes beautifully presented and, most importantly, is delicious. Though I’m not a vegetarian, whenever they have their vegetarian sausage rolls I have to get one, the nicest sausage rolls I’ve ever eaten. Well done to everyone at smokey barn for your exceptional customer service, food and drinks :)

Had a delicious cup of coffee & a smashing full english brekkie. I was in early and the service was great. I popped back in to get some friends a coffee a little later on and it was rather busy. I think the delicious hot food is only served until 1pm Arrive early to avoid disappointment

Always loved this place for years. Best breakfast I have ever had and coffee smells amazing and tastes Amazing. Can’t get coffee like this anywhere else. Staff are lovely and very friendly. Really nice little place, it’s the best little gem of Norwich

Only discovered this place last month and met a friend today for coffee. Great little place, lovely atmosphere and superb coffee. Staff are friendly too. Happy customer ☺

We headed here after my usual top coffee place was struggling to keep up their usual high standards during a busy lunchtime. It’s only a 5 minute walk along King Street to this friendly little place and the caffe latte and ice latte were superb. It’s a dog friendly place and the women who own and run it do a brilliant job. I’ll definitely be heading here again!

I am on flex so decided to go off for an early breakfast before work. It was so fresh, perfectly cooked and hot instead of the normal greasy plates you get elsewhere. Staff very chirpy too!

My other favourite coffee spot in Norwich, great dark coffee here and some terrific breakfasts all freshly cooked in on a big hot plate in front of you. Super staff and a relaxed atmosphere - outside has a nice sunny spot in the morning as the world trundles by...

So generous, so interesting (some of the coffee producers' stories "from awful traumatisation to cooperative joy" are so moving) and the most fabulous coffee assortment, roasted expertly - next door to a car repair "garage"..... King Street Norwich is a lovelier place Because of Smokey Barn's existence... When you go, if they're not too busy, ask them to tell you their story......

Lovely little cafe just outside of central Norwich. Offers a tasty breakfast and a cracking cup of coffee without the over priced pretentiousnous of a coffee chain. Service with a smile from all the baristas that work the kitchen and a genuinely relaxed space to unwind on a dull February day.

I loved this little place. However I need to mention my experience today, the brilliant, friendly owners have passed the reins to their daughter(s?) who run it now. Some of the nice rustic interior touches have gone (I loved the large vintage Café lettering that was in the window) and have been replaced with a insta-generic geometric light and poor customer service. I asked for my crumb filled table to be wiped and it wasn't. One of the girls boyfriends moped about saying how busy he was as he begrudgingly cleared a table he was occupying. My ciabatta was limp and tiny. Staff were unkemp and messy. C'mon let's up the game here. Coffee shops are ten a penny in Norwich and there are some great ones. Forget 'building your online presence' and do the basics properly. I hope this place picks up by my next visit.

Found this place on the way into the city centre, had a mocha with oat milk and a shot of vanilla, and it opened my third eye. Really good. Best mocha I’ve had, hands down. Really friendly staff too!

Stumbled across Smokey Barn last week and loved it. It's a cross between a greasy spoon and an ethical coffee roasting specialist.

Fast becoming our favourite coffee spot in Norwich. Slightly away from the busy city centre but still close to our office. It's easy not to spot this place - it's in a dinky and unpretentious old warehouse, tucked away by the river. We were charmed by the lovely owners who welcome everyone, with chat if you want it, or if you don't, with space to enjoy your own thoughts. To the good location and the friendly people, add great coffee at sensible prices and they've got us hooked. This is one of those places we're reluctant to review publicly in case it gets ramma-jammed. They deserve lots of success. Highly recommended. Our picks: oat capp°, iced tea, & perfect homemade squishy millionaire's shortbread.

So refreshing to step into a little cafe where coffee is the name of the game . Breakfast isn’t bad either .if you want to try some thing different from the normal coffee chains then give it a try

Smokey Barn Imports coffee beans from free trade growers and then roast them in house. It's close to the Waterfront on King Street and only a short walk over the bridge from Riverside. It is a very friendly family run business with real coffee, authentic atmosphere, wholesome food at competitive prices. And, then there's Ronald their pet dog who will do anything for a bit or your bacon butty and would love to meet you. My number one go to coffee house.

Well worth the visit. Excellent service, friendly owners, great value for money and Ronald the dog is so cute!

Well that smell is unmistakeable......follow it down kIng street to the Smokey barn, the coffees from all around the world are ground and roast by the host.....and after tasting one you will wonder why you pay so much in the city at upmarket cafes.

Went here on breaktime the food was delicious and very quick! They roast their own coffee which is very tasty defo the best cafe around norwich beats all the cheap tasting coffee in cafes around here which is over charged!

Just for hanging out and meeting a pal for coffee this is an amazing little find. The coffee is superb with many different choices, served by either Peter or Maggie in this cute café. Lots to choose from and also buy as gift packs - such a great present for those difficult to buy for folks! Can so highly recommend - try it!

The wonderful smell of roasting coffee often fills the south end of King Street. The coffee at Smokey Barn is fresh and freshly roasted, sourced from a variety of exotic locations and is excellently prepared. It's a friendly place, very relaxed, but they're very serious about their coffee and it shows. I popped in earlier and bought a bag from Rwanda and another from Guatemala. Just tried them and they're both delicious and with very different characters.

Small and rustic coffee shop which only has the best quality artisan coffees from all over the world. Expertly roasted and ground on the premises, sold by the cup (just £2) or you can buy it bagged to make at home. Small selection of lunches and snacks, everything very reasonably priced. Friendly owners and a nice atmosphere - sets the bar very high.

I always pop in for a latte on my way to the work and am always impressed by the attention to detail and kindness of the couple (I believe) serving. Smokey Barn is a really wonderful addition to this part of Norwich!

I have become a very regular customer when I am in the UK. The coffee is outstanding and owners make you feel really at home. I bought a couple of bags of the El Salvador and Colombian coffees to take to Russia. People here think the coffee is amazing! I will need to take a large stock with me when I next return!

I walked past this place on a random stroll around the neighborhood and was very glad I called in. Excellent coffee, good looking basic food (bacon rolls, omelettes etc), friendly owners, cute dog...if I lived nearby I'd be in here regularly!.

I'm slowing working my way through their range of beans that they roast on site. They've all been brilliant. Having a coffee from somewhere like Smokey Barn makes you realise how poor the coffees from these large national chains really are!

Coffee and food inexpensive and advice on freshly roasted beans was free. This will be my go to coffee and snack shop in Norwich. Just so much better than the run of the mill "clinical" Costas and Starbucks.

Love coming here! The service is second to none. Felt very welcomed and the coffee is out of this world and awesome food. I highly recommend this cafe :D

A group of us now regularly visit mid morning for a coffee, with a wide rande to choose from and the option to purchase the beans too makes this a delightful little place. They also do hot food which although I've yet to try it always looks and smells delighful.

Heard about Smokey Barn through a few close friends of mine and I was not disappointed!!! Staff are so friendly and the service is great. The coffee is amazing and if I lived closer I would go a lot more. I recommend to all (:

Having just got back to drinking coffee I decided I needed to give my taste buds a treat. Having walked past the shop when the beans are being roasted is one of the best smells ever!

I have never had better quality coffee beans from anywhere. I have been buying beans from here for a couple of years now and will never go back to other brands. There is always a good variety to choose from, reasonably priced and expertly roasted. You know the beans are excellent and the roaster a master when you see the beans. To most people, the beans probably look under-roasted, however, this is because most people are used to the mass-produced Starbucks or store bought beans which are roasted to near death to mask their inferiority.

Small batch, hand roasted artisan coffee in an up and coming area of Norwich. Serves extremely reasonably priced coffee that is extraordinary for the afficianado or someone who just wants a good cuppa joe. Chris, the owner, friendly and willing to share his extensive knowledge of coffee and the best way to brew. Bags of coffee also available to take home with you. An unexpected treasure on King Street. Well worth checking out.
