Had a falafel wrap and like always it is the most amazing falafel in the city! It was very busy due to the closure but it is worth the wait. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and work so hard. Thank you for all the food over the years ❤️ Good luck to your future endeavours

Visited Ruths Kitchen today with my mother. The food was excellent and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely go visit again!

Have been waiting to try this place with my mum for ages and I was not disappointed at all! We went with the owners suggestion and got three delicious and varied plates of food. Everything was fresh and had been prepared with care. Sooo refreshing to have interesting, flavoursome food rather than the generic grub other places seem to offer. Can’t wait to come back! Still amazing - I was one of the first people through the doors when they opened nearly 10 years ago and I’ve not regretted a single visit since. The food is the key here - Ruth creates food that makes you feel good after you’ve eaten it. Using spices and herbs to great effect, such as in the shakshuka special (pictured). Ruth and Julian care about their customers and want you to return, to the point their little cafe is often very full (which is its own advertisement really!). Come and try. You won’t be sorry.

Popped into Ruth's for lunch as was in the area, wow fab! As soon as we walked in the staff were so helpful, explained all the menu. Food delicious! Ruth and Julian (? not sure but saw the name in a previous review--) are terrific. Julian, if that is indeed he, greeted us, explained the whole menu, and made recommendations. Delicious spicing/flavor in the felafel, great red cabbage and vegetable mixtures, good lemon chicken, and wonderful bread. This is how small restaurants used to be and almost never are anymore.

I went in with my toddler to get a takeaway today. Ruth let us try few things before we ordered. They were fantastic with my toddler. Ordered falafel with mese.. Absolutely yummy food. I will definitely be ordering here again. Great customer service. Keep it up.

wasn't brought up trying many different foods so didn't really know what I wanted or if I'd have liked any of it. They let me try hummus and even made a bit of fresh falaffle for me to try before ordering. All tasted amazing and you could tell they knew what they were doing. we at first walked past the restaurant admiring the amazing smell and had to go in! it's absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is amazing and you feel like part of a massive family. the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. I didn't know what some of the dishes were and the staff explained them to me and even allowed me to have a sample of the flafel. the food is absolutely to die for it is all fresh, so filling and so tasty! it's absolutely amazing, all the flavours are truly amazing. would definitely recommend

Literalmente se detuvo aquí porque teníamos mucha hambre, qué descubrimiento. Los propietarios son super amables y apasionados por su comida, que era muy rica. Having visited Ruth's several times now I cannot recommend the food here enough,this takes me back to being in Jerusalem and is simply the best Israeli food in England and all the staff are lovely.

Visited Ruth's Kitchen after a suggestion from my wife....from the outside it looks like just another café....once inside however it became clear the emphasis was on food, not décor. Being our first first we had a mezze of sorts so we could sample, if not everything, lots of different dishes....Excellent lunch, hopefully it wills survive the problems Covid-19 has brought to our shores.....look forward to another visit in the future.

I must have had over 10 falafel from here now every single time has been delicious and every single time I have seen the owners give great hospitality to both me and incoming customers. Also best strong coffee I have had anywhere. And I am not a dramatic person. Also do vegan and veg and meat options.

Brought 2 of my mates who hadn't tried this place before, and it's one of my favourites! One ordered a Shwarma wrap and claimed that he loved it. The other chose the chicken humus dish and said how much she loved all the salads and the chicken was good. I had the Shwarma mezze, as I just love all the salads and fancied some lamb today. It was tasty as ever, but last time I had the lamb, I found it much more tender than today.

Absolutely fabulous food . Great atmosphere.The owners were so friendly and knowledgable about the menu. We have never tasted falafels like it and we have left overs for later. Highly recommend and we will return. Thank you

Brilliant little cafe, serving authentic foods filled with amazing flavour!!... we was talked through the menu, and reasoning behind each option to help us make the right choices, and boy we made the right choices, I had a falafel wrap and my friend a schnitzel meze... everything tasted sooo good, pickles were gorgeous and the portion was well worth the money you pay. What a find!Don't you just love TripAdvisor & Google?Over at Norwich for a few days & we already planned to visit Ruth's Kitchen for lunch inbetween my Son's NUA tour & interview.What a delightful welcome we received, the staff asked that if we were unsure about the menu they would help us by talking us through it. We ordered the Falafel Mezo Meal & the Schnitzel Mezo Meal and were not disappointed. The only disappointment was that we had a large breakfast only a few hours before and the portion sizes at Ruth's were more than generous to be able to finish, Go Hungry!The dishes themselves were authentic with fresh flavours, you could tell they were all homemade, fresh, for the day.We ended up chatting about food, Norwich & the NUA's and wow, these guys are the absolute Pride of Norwich. Such Ambassodors to Norwich that we were blown away with q8their knowledge, not only of Norwich matters but of the NUA itself, which really helped my son, who, after 2 days in Norwich will be really, really upset if he doesn't get an offer.Great restaurant/cafe, Great City.We will return & cannot wait.Highly recommended & a 'you must visit!'

I had the falafel wrap to go and it was just what I needed as a healthy and tasty lunch on the go. It was full of different flavours and textures, It was fresh and just delicious. I highly recommend this place amd even though they had a staff member off and were rushed off their feet they were extremely fast and just lovely friendly people. 10/10 from me!

Le he dicho a muchos de mis amigos que deben intentarlo, y se me ocurrió que podría organizar un pequeño almuerzo para almorzar y 6 de nosotros vinimos esta tarde a almorzar. Hacía frío afuera, y era muy acogedor tener la calidez del maravilloso personal. Hicimos la reserva para el mediodía y para cuando nuestro grupo llegó, estaba lleno de clientes entusiastas. El menú fue amablemente explicado por nuestro camarero, incluso nos presentó especias para oler. La comida era tan deliciosa, ¡ojalá pudiera darle 10 estrellas de 5 y todos en la mesa estuvieron de acuerdo! El único comentario negativo fue que había demasiada comida en un plato de damas! Una de las damas dijo que era el mejor almuerzo que había tenido en Norfolk, y que definitivamente regresaría. ¡Todos comentaron cómo se sentía visitar Es real y visitar a una familia en casa y no podía creer que todavía estuvieran en Norwich!

Although they werent open they invited us in and started to get breakfast for us..delicious shakshuka...very welcoming friendly and attentive...a diamond amongst the rubble of national cafes and coffee bars...we recommend this very highly.

My local friend suggested we go to Ruth’s Kitchen as I really wanted to focus on eating food that wasn’t from big company’s as I enjoy supporting local businesses! As we walked in I was taken by the amazing smells and openly welcomed with big smiles! The owner came over and went over the whole menu which was fabulous for me as I was a bit lost. However, I ended up picking the kogtage which was absolutely delicious and filling! I highly suggest going for a homey and comforting atmosphere and delicious food! Ruth's is definitely going to be a regular lunch place for me. The food is fresh and very good and the service is beyond friendly. I enjoyed the "Hummusia" meal-- delicious, freshly made hummus with a bit of spice and a VERY generous portion (they kindly let me take a tub of it home that was half-full). I also look forward to trying the mezze and wrap options next time I dine.

Despite being chick pea intolerant, My needs were adequately accomodated. Very attentive hosts who were more than happy to create a lovely salad for me. The ginger and chocolate cake they do is so.... delicious. I intended to take it home but sadly, did not survive the journey !

I came here for lunch with my daughter and baby. What a find! After a lengthy and comprehensive explanation of the menu, she chose the felafel wrap and I chose mixed grill meze. We were given a high chair for the baby and the food arrived promptly. And, boy, was it delicious! One of the best meals I’ve had in ages! This is a really nice little cafe with a great variety of food and drinks to suit all tastes and very friendly and welcoming staff who are clearly passionate about the dishes they serve up. Always really happy to explain what they are and what is in them. A child friendly venue too which is really nice to see too.

We visited Ruth's Kitchen for lunch, and were greeted by the lovely owners who accommodated for our own preferences in what we had in our wraps. I had a falafel wrap, which was made fresh in front of my own eyes. It was absolutely delicious, and tasted authentic and wholesome. The cafe itself is quite quaint, with seating for around 20 people maximum, but it made it feel even more personal and friendly. The prices were very good, to say the food is made fresh from quality ingredient. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

Menú limitado de envolturas, parrillas, falafal y platos de hummus inspirados en la comida callejera de Jerusalén: todo recién hecho, sabroso y en un tamaño de porción decente. Mejor que los caros restaurantes que tratan de servir cosas similares en la ciudad.

Gran variedad de comida del Medio Oriente, todo hecho en las instalaciones. Tuvimos la comida del meze con el cordero Shawarma. Fue genial, porciones muy generosas. El personal era amable y acogedor. Un poco a pie del centro turístico, pero nos alegramos mucho de haberlo encontrado. Si viviéramos más cerca iríamos todas las semanas.

Turned up famished on a busy day, and were promptly served. Had some of the best street food I’ve eaten in a very long time. Everything we sampled was freshly prepared and scrumptious! Will definitely recommend and will be going back.

Shouldn't have left it so long to return. Lovely informal cosy venue on Magdalen St close to the city centre run by friendly and helpful staff. The food is absolutely delicious. Falafel, kofte, houmous, all your Middle Eastern favourites and more with a Jerusalem twist. Definitely recommended.

My friend is vegan and looking for a new experience, so Ruth's came to mind! I just love the food and the atmosphere! They are so friendly and accommodating! Well, once again, I practically had to roll home after eating because I was so full! We got the falafel meze salad and wonderful lemon and mint tea. The salad is so great, fine shredded red cabbage, pickles, gorgeous aubergine, potato wedges, beautiful spicy chilli sauce, Tahini sauce, and stunning hummus! Falafels are the best in Norwich! Another satisfied newcomer and definitely a satisfied returnee! I'd you haven't tried it here, you MUST!!

What a great place to eat! Lovely staff and the best vegetarian meal I have ever had. The menu was explained in great detail though I feel it would help to have a printed menu on the table as it would be good to read about all the different dishes. If you are looking for an authentic taste of Israel - look no further! Delicious honest food, great menu. If you are vegetarian the taste of the falafel and mixed vegetables dishes are full of colour and flavour. If you are meaty, the lamb is amazing (you will forget your name) and all very affordable. Pequeño, agradable y familiar, este tradicional sabor del Mediterráneo es un encanto. La pareja que está detrás del mostrador está entusiasmada con los sabores y la comida, lo que significa que no puedes evitar divertirte.
