I live close by and get my coffee here all the time. Great coffee and pastries, with a good selection of middle-eastern treats like baklava. Love this place! The staff are super friendly and they always write cute custom messages on your coffee cup or pastry to-go bags.

The set of breakfast is good and generally the food is OK. For a reason I can’t understand, they don’t serve meals with proper bacon.

My daily latte stop. Such a treat.

This cafe is open from 8.30am, for breakfast, through to 3 pm forcoffee, cakes, lunch. It changed hands last year, now with an unusual and delightful North African influence.Coffee outstanding and cakes wonderful and interesting. Lunch dishes include eggs Benedict and eggs florentine but also some delicious vegetable dishes and soup.. The service is very good. E are tables downstairs upstairs too. Juniper deserves to be better known. Such a contrast to the big chain places. Here everything is homemade. And it is surprisingly cheap

Perfect service, food and price! Its always busy but always a table upstairs. Shakshouka with egg is delicious. Vegetable Quiche is delicious. Rataouille is delicious. Homemade cakes

Arrived just as they were closing. They took pity on me for needing a takeout coffee in between appointments. The great friendly staff popped back inside to make me a coffee. Definitely went the extra mile for a very happy customer. Coffee is really good.

My favourite coffee shop in Norwich. Lovely coffee and cakes and the ladies who work there are also so friendly and warm. I go in with my baby often and it’s so nice to chat with them about parenting life. The cafe has an upstairs too which is comfy (with boardgames) and breastfeeding friendly. There’s also always something different on offer by way of coffee & food. Overall such a lovely spot ☕️

We turned up 10 minutes before closing and the waitress was still happy for us to sit and eat. Food was great, service was excellent!

Our first visit to this coffee shop just off the city centre. Although it may look small from the outside there is more seating upstairs. The coffee was good and the cheese scones ran a close second to the best we have had in Norwich. We shared a slice of rich fruit cake which was full of fruit, moist and filling. They also offer a breakfast menu of croissant with sweet and savoury fillings, all day filled ciabatta and wraps, sausage rolls and a range of cakes. Will visit again.

Lovely coffee and very good priced but the service let it down. As newbies we didn't know that we had to go to the counter to order and unfortunately the girl who stood around didn't make us aware after us looking a bit lost. The tables were very sticky and I am sorry but front of house staff should not be wearing sleevless tops. Very unhygienic .

This little ‘stop-off-point’ is just outside the main run of coffeeshops usually associated the Magdalen Street, The Lanes and central Norwich- it’s a great little place to pop for a cuppa and a catch up, or a coffee and flick through your phone. Friendly. If you are coming up from the city, and don’t like the underpass, you can use the pedestrian crossings on the Queens Road - Google will show you where :) It’s a perfectly decent little cafe.

Very nice cakes and bacon ciabatta today. We both enjoyed and the staff were nice with a good range of choices from bacon through to vegan options.

Just discovered this little gem. They do a fantastic Flat White in lovely surroundings with friendly service. Had a nosy at the upstairs space and it looks perfect for a casual meeting space. Give it a go if you're nearby, you wont regret it.

Always high quality coffee, amazing home-baked cakes and other treats as well as delicious filling lunches. The best bit is always the atmosphere though, staff are so welcoming and all genuinely lovely people, there's quiet areas for studying or busier areas for a chat!

My wife and I live not far from here and we've always said we should pop-in for a coffee and we should have done it earlier. Lovely cosy little place and the coffee was amazing and the food was equally lovely. Friendly staff and such a relaxed atmosphere! Well worth a visit!

Very nice sausage rolls. Nice atmosphere in a central location. I paid about £5:35 for a warm sausage roll and a flat white coffee.

Quirky cafe on St Stephen’s Road. There are so many little details all over which makes it very inviting and cosy. They even have a projector with old cartoons such as Betty Boop and Felix the cat! We had the toasted ciabatta with bacon and toasted ciabatta with rhubarb jam which were both delicious! The latte and tea were also very nice! Great finding!

Excellent choice of delicious breakfast and lunch options and that is without even mentioning the amazing home made cake and snacks! The perfect place to relax with superb locally sourced coffee (usually a flat white for me!), meet a friend, or even work remotely from. There is also lots of extra room (and board games!) upstairs. Juniper has the most friendly and welcoming atmosphere, driven by such lovely staff and customers. I never leave without having had a conversation which has put a big smile on my face. I cannot wait for my next visit!

On entering the premises we were greeted by two extremely pleasant ladies.My soup was not a consistent temperature and the knife to butter the bread was forgotten.Another small groups order was taken and delivered, we had been forgotten! the lady was very apologetic and we did eventually receive our coffee and pot of tea.The pot of tea was really good value.Despite the poor service we will return again

What a hidden gem in the city, such a cute little cafe! Very clean and organised with a cosy environment! I had a delicious bacon and brie sandwich which also came with salad! I also ended up having a matcha latte, as well as a pineapple and mango smoothie!! Everything was so delicious, I will 100% be coming back for the food for sure! I was served by the lovely young lady Kenza, who was very welcoming, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! Absolutely would recommend to my friends and family.

This is a great cafe, the owner and her staff are very friendly great hosts. I have visited a couple of times, the first time just for coffee which I would say is excellent. The blend they use is smooth with no bitter after taste. The second time I visited my partner and I were meeting a friend there who had already been in once for his early morning coffee fix. This time I had a sausage roll and a slice of vegan flap jack, they were delicious. If you find yourself at the top of St Stephens I would certainly visit this independent cafe, you will not be disappointed!

Visited this quaint little coffee shop on a chilly january afternoon seeking refreshment. i ordered a cheese scone and a hot chocolate and chose a table by the window. the scone was absolutely delicious and the hot chocolate was smooth and comforting and beautifully presented. the decor and atmosphere was very relaxing and there is more seating upstairs. Juniper certainly is the perfect place to go to relax and enjoy good quality food and beverages made with local ingredients. will definitely be returning. boycott the corporate chains and support the local indepent coffee shops is what i say

Just love this place. Friendly - they know your name, great teas - try the Earl Gray Darjeeling, lovely cheese scones - and other cakes/soups and paninis and finally great atmosphere. They run a monthly quiz and other events which are a great giggle. My favourite teashop in Norwich!

One of the best independent family run coffee shops in Norwich. Homemade goodies, gorgeous coffee & extremely funny/friendly staff. Perfect place to chill, read a newspaper and enjoy a slice of heavenly carrot cake! Also attended a couple of their evening events such as quiz night & wine tasting and had a delightful time especially everything provided it’s an absolute steal of a night!! Highly recommend & will certainly be back❤️Xx

I love this place! The staff are fantastically friendly and welcoming, the coffee is great and the cakes are out of this world, made with love and care from fresh, local ingredients. It's the sort of place you can easily lose a few hours in, chatting and enjoying the complementary newspapers they provide.

Lovely local cafe. Tried sandwiches but everything looked lovely. Only negative was all newspapers were Murdoch Times and Sunday Times which is odd for liberal Norwich. Papers only thing to stop me going back.

Lovely staff, very welcoming, cheerful, friendly and helpful. There is an excellent range of drinks, including Fenitmans, which is a delight to see. Unfortunately, the cakes do not taste nice and are poor quality in their ingredients.

First visit here but will be back. Excellent fruit cake and good cheese scones. Good value for money. The ciabatta's looked very good will definitely have that next time.

Have to love this place. Fantastic coffee, great sausage rolls and brownies ( everything home made and it all looks great). All reasonably priced and in lovely surroundings the right side of quirky and with the loveliest friendliest staff you’ll ever meet. Board games and books you can use for all ages. If you haven’t been you should definitely give it a try. It’s on st Stephens Road opposite the Marsh car park and just a few feet from the new fitness store. So important to support independent family run businesses

Imagine it, not only a significant birthday but a surprise afternoon tea too!!! I think my friends - who arranged it - and I were the first to do this, but I hope it will not be the last time. Super selection of sandwiches on a very jolly cake stand, wonderful carrot cake, supreme chocolate brownies, chocolate truffle fancies, special flowers, a fine selection of teas and coffees, it was all absolutely splendid. It went a long way to justifying turning a significant age. Do go, if you are in Norwich!!!

A lovely little cafe the college side of St Stephens round about (in the old Lamak Lamak) - a good choice of sarnies, wraps and the likes, along with cakes and a great selection of refreshments. I had a hot mozzarella, pesto and sundered tomato wrap for a reasonable around £4 (i think) - plus a good selection of teas, nicely served in a pot.

A very personal dining experience with the mother and daughter team at the Juniper Coffe Shop. A wide range of tempting and delicious hot and cold foods which are all home made on the premises. Also a good selection of tasty hot and cold drinks is available throughout the day. The ambience and atmosphere is both welcoming and informal. A must visit for when you are in Norwich.

This is newly opened. The cakes are home made, the sausage rolls fresh every morning and the mince pies are to die for. The place may be small but it has a big heart. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

Visited this recently opened coffee shop on recommendation of a friend and loved it. The coffee (flat white and then cappuccino) was superb - apparently locally roasted. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere really warm and friendly.

Lovely ambience, nice staff, exceptionally good coffee (Black Americano), wonderful scones!! So good, I bought one to take away. UPDATE: have been three times now; couple of small detractors: the dreary 1950's lounge music: up market cache, but so out of date! No fruit scones at 1100am, on the past two occasions. Unfortunate.

After a chilly rainy day exploring the lovely city of Norwich my wife and I were in need of a coffee on our way back to our hotel. We spotted the juniper coffee shop and popped in, I had a latte and my wife had a flat white and all I can say is its the best coffee we've ever had. The shop is decorated in a retro /industrial style, lovely and clean The ladies serving were so friendly and we were chatting for some time even though it was nearly closing time. The next morning we popped for another quick coffee before heading home. Over all a great little place well worth a visit. very reasonably priced.

Juniper is a lovely family-run coffee shop offering home-made cakes, sausage rolls etc. Only a few minutes walk from the city centre, it's a heartwarming alternative to the big chains. Delightful staff, excellent coffee, scrummy food, and a hygiene rating of 5, what's not to like? Don't be put off if it looks full, there's an upstairs section as well.

Super little coffee shop. Had the bacon and brie ciabatta and I can honestly say it's the best I've tasted. Very friendly staff who obviously care about the quality of the food. Will definitely be back to try homemade sausage rolls,they looked amazing.

Another visit to my favourite coffee shop in Norwich slowly working my way through the menu the food is appsolutely deliciously and all home made , today I had the cheese scone infused with a little mustard they are very nice will deffently be having them again.
