I left sad and annoyed. I have favourably reviewed this cafe in the past but it has all changed now, and not for the better. The kitchen has gone, and with it the expresso machine. Frankly, this can hardly claim to be a cafe. I paid £5.70 for a miserable excuse for a cappuccino and a flapjack. The coffee was very weak, with thin froth on the top. The flapjack was decent, but the bill was a joke. I will remember the old days with affection, but I won't be going back.

Between John Lewis and Sainsbury's, with a much nicer space to sit indoors or outside, with homemade food and cake and great coffee. Recommended.

Realmente recomendable.

Been here before so quite happy to meet friend for quick lunch as she doesn't have long. Considering the cafe must rely on nearby workers (obviously Aviva) coming in we were very disappointed at the length of time they took to serve our food. We only had soup and a sandwich but it took nearly half an hour which meant we had very little time left to eat it. It wasn't very busy either. Nothing wrong with the food but why did it take so long? My friend said she would not recommend the cafe to fellow workers purely because of the time factor. Shame.

I pop into this cafe on a regular basis. The staff are very friendly, it's spotless and the food is lovely. They have chairs and tables outside and it's a real sun trap. The brownies are lovely as is the goats cheese sandwich. They also do discount for certain employers which is fab!

We had a very nice visit to the newly refurbished cafe on All Saints Green. My wife and I, and our 2yr old had a lovely coffee and cake break from a sunny wander round Norwich city centre. The coffee was great and whole selection of homemade cakes looked tantalising. However I settled on a chocolate and pecan brownie and the wife had orange cake. Wonderful! The building was very well renovated, the staff were very welcoming (and knowledgeable about all the classes available in the studios upstairs and next to the cafe.) The Acorn Cafe is fully recommended. We will be returning, however living 130miles away does stupid being such frequent visits.

My first visit to the Acorn Cafe for lunch with a couple of friends was an enjoyable experience. Greeted by friendly staff and the lovely smell of baking chocolate brownies. The toasted paninis were tasty, the drinks good quality and the pecan brownie that I took home with me was delicious and, with a scoop of ice cream, was big enough for two to share. If I meet friends for lunch we usually go to John Lewis, but The Acorn will be a regular venue from now on.

I visited here for the first time with a friend for lunch. It was nice and relaxing. I had the bacon sandwich which came with crisps and a bit of salad. In hindsight I should have had a different sandwich or asked for no crisps, as I've reduced salt a lot in my diet and bacon and crisps are very salty. The bacon was cooked well though and the bread was good. The salad had a nice mustardy dressing on, which I liked but my friend didn't, as she doesn't like mustard! She had butternut squash soup which she quite liked but said she would have preferred not to have curry spices in it. I actually like it with spice in and usually add it if I make my own soup. My friend also had the smoked salmon bagel, which she said was good. The bagel was huge. It's certainly good value food if you look at prices some other places charge. It would be nice to have a couple of salads on the menu, I don't always fancy bread. The staff were lovely; friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again. It's 'far from the madding crowd'.

I have been watching the renovation of this beautiful building for a while and I am happy to see its been put to good use. So lovely to have a beautiful yoga studio and cafe right on my doorstep. I stopped by with my husband and baby daughter for a drink and a slice of the delicious brownie. It was great. Lovely friendly staff and a nice space for a moment of calm in the city.

Stopped by to look at the newly renovated building that appear from behind construction barriers recently. Inside a stunning historical building is a fantastic little cafe! The coffee and carrot cake were amazing and served by a charming lady. I took a small look around the building and found out that it doubles as a yoga studio! While I'm not the yoga type, it's a great mix to have. Maybe I should try a class to get in shape for summer!!! Overall, great place with a lovely bit of historic Norwich brought back to life!

I go here regularly. It has never failed me: excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent people. We have lived near the city almost 4 years now and I don’t think I have ever gone longer than two months without visiting. I wanted to write this review to thank this small cafe. Thank you for providing me with all the food I can eat, will all the advice on how to cook the nut roast at Christmas and for looking and smelling nostalgia to me- I don’t know what it is, but walking into the place, especially autumn/Christmas time just makes me feel at home. Thank you Tofurei, I will deeply miss you. Oh and thank you for introducing me to spiced chai syrup in my oat iced latte- I will NEVER go back to regular lattes again. Like Christmas in a summer drink! (Ps- picture was from a while ago, only one I could find but perfectly encapsulates the beauty of this place)
