The Smoke Shack team provided the food for a wine tasting and Jazz evening at Kingscote Vineyard. Wow! It was way beyond what we were expecting. The food was absolutely delicious and plenty of dishes to choose from. The staff were terrific too!

Pork belly very soft and flavoursome, soft bread rolls for the burgers which were really nice, and tacos contained lots of meat and very tasty. Well worth trying

We’d been wanting to pop along for one of their live fire events having seen them advertised, we finally got along there for the Korean BBQ one & all we can say is wow! We could not have wished for more from our evening. The cocktail my other half had which was made with lychees was in her words the best thing she’s ever tasted, I had a pint of lightbulb which was great. The ambience with a girl singing with just a keyboard was on point & the food…here’s the real wow the flavours, presentation & everything were unlike anything I’ve eaten in Hastings. Truly something else. Thank you for an amazing evening.

Not great. Ordered the Meat Box, for my taste everything was under seasoned and a bit disappointing. Special shout out to the Mac & Cheese which was absolutely disgusting, hard pasta in tasteless watery yellow liquid, pretty sure it was a instant packet mix like a mug shot. Sadly won’t be returning.

We grabbed a couple of burgers and cheesy chips to take away and it was amazing! After reading reviews of it being a little gem, I definitely agree! They have a vegan sweet potato bean burger which was delicious

The Prince Albert was a Shepherd Neame pub for years, but is now is a genuine free house, selling up to 3 cask ales and 12 craft beers and (mostly) premium lagers on keg. They take part every year in Hastings Tap Takeover, and regularly have their own tap takeovers, and an excellent Oktoberfest every year too. The food always looks enticing, but I live too close by to not feel right eating there (this ain't Eastenders!), but they have specialist food too, for example, specifically for Oktoberfest, you can guess what type of food then. On my last visit I enjoyed their Oktoberfest, including drinking British versions of German beer, but also the real thing, including 3 beers from Bavaria, Hacker-Pschorr's special seasonal 6.0% Oktoberfest Bier, Hofbrau Munchen's 6.3% Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier, and Flotzinger Brau's 5.8% Wies'n-Marzen, brewed specifically for the Rosenheim Autumn Festival. In addition, check with the Prince Albert's website if you would like to catch live music there, because they do have live music sessions. The pub opens at 16.00 during the week, and at 12.00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
