Smoke Shed in Wrexham

Got a delivery ordered at 7.50pm and it turned up at 9.20pm when it came it should of been medium rare steak and chips and onion rings onion rings full of grease and steak was dead red all the way through and chips full of grease aswell rang them they said just ring just eat then turned the phone off I wouldn't order from this dump and can't get a refund from just eat they say contact the restaurant so they new wat they r doing

Start with opening times and stick to them , I left a 3 star review in case it was an emergency but yet to eat here so I think that is fair.

If your looking for some good food at a decent price the smoke shed is your place! The burgers are well put together and everything is fresh, it kicks mc burger Queen on nutrition service and speed any day! I had the jerk shed burger with fries it was made fresh and ready in 10 minutes I didn't order a drink with my meal so they even Brought one out to me on the house and were very accomidating, I don't like eating bad food but for a burger it was pretty damn tasty 😋 18/06/22

Ordered today food arrived cold, even the cheese on the chips didn’t melt so must of been added to cold chips. Rang to complain manager apparently not in and still hasn’t contacted me regarding complaint.

my review was taken down and i will continually make this review. the order was incorrect. the dawg box. cheap natsy stuff like rustlers hotdogs. nasty cheap nando's sauce and the skimpiest chiken wings i ever saw with cheap nasty kebab shop fries. i am also awaiting contact from trip advisor as to why my review which was accurate was taken down. iu would give a negative review if i could. smoke shed has not been the same in years. trhey now use analogue cheese. which is nasty stuff. it isnt even real cheese the order came cold and i could tell it left cold due to the nasty faux cheese not having being melted from the pellets they used.

VILE, never dealt with such rude customer service, waited 2 hours after ringing twice for only half the food to show up, rang about 8 times to try and get the rest of what we paid for and had no answer. food tasted like dog sh*t - gave it to my dogs and even they gagged. definitely don’t order 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢

I’m gluten free so phoned and asked about options, very helpful customer service, food arrived within the time it said it would, and it was amazing!!! Had the nachos and cheese burger fries, so good, and family loved their food too! Will definitely be ordering from here again

Spent £14.50 on a takeaway. Expecting a more professional delivery. Normally use Zoom today due to a friends recommendation I used Wrexham Eats and Smoke Shed but never again The chips where cold. The onion rings and slaw where non existent The food arrived in a Premier Carrier Bag with a piece of used foil wrapping the insulated carton that couldn’t shut . I phoned asking about the slaw(which they don’t do, but is advertised) & the onion rings where in the burger. No they weren’t. I won’t be recommending either one of these companies again and I’m going back to Zoom.

Food is perfectly fine and decently priced. However, we've ordered 3 times and have never received an order less than 40 mins late. Would not recommend.

Orders food at 7.50, didn’t come until 9.40 I called twice to see where it’s at kept telling me it’s on its way. And when I finally got it, wasn’t even worth the wait chicken burger was cold and the ribs if you could call them that were more bone than meat and also the toughest thing you could possibly imagine. Was the first time ordering from there and the last Do not order from smoke shed as it’s a waste of time and money the dog didn’t even touch it !!!

Ordered food for 9:30 tips up at 8:45. Food is freezing cold now when I clearly said come at 9:30. Stupid idiots that work there don’t go

This place is horrendous avoid at all costs. Cheap produce are meal was unedible. Do your self a favour go to Fat Boar 100 times better and same sort of food how this place gets away with it I will never know🤢

The photos of the food looked so nice, ordered at 7.30pm got here at 9.20 nearly 2 hour wait time. The food was cold and tasteless. 30 pounds and I ate a couple of chips. Great thing to eat if you want to loose weight as it just all went straight in the bin. Horrible!

Was given a 1 hour delivery time and its been 2 and a half hours and still not here, Won't be ordering again!!

Pre order for a 6pm as we have been working just got in at 17.10 we had only be in for 5 minuets so was a bit taken aback as not ready to eat but hey ho. We had 2 different burgers both were lovely and still very warm. And 2 kids meals they forgot the corn to go with the kids meal so a little disappointing. We did phone to point out the time mistake and lack of corn and to be honnist the attitude of the member of staff was disgusting. Overall food lovely but had missing items and food delivard way to early plus at a cost of just over £36 I expect a little more even if its just coldslaw and the corn we actualy ordered but dident get also the staff to be a bit more approachable we won't be ordering again as staff attitude has put me off which is a shame.

Just had our first Just Eat takeaway from The Smoke Shed. From ordering to food arriving was just over an hour - we expected an hour for delivery but it arrived 20 minutes early. The burgers were huge and very filling. They tasted delicious and the fries were lovely and crispy. Really enjoyed our meals and will definitely order again and highly recommend.

Had a delivery tonight food took 2 hours from ordering to delivery when it arrived the kebab was dry no salad just a bit of lettuce Delivery driver standing a few feet from front door then hands a carrier bag over no mask being worn

We have a large family so takeaways are regularly wrong from different places. From the smoke shed everything was absolutely perfect (they even threw some extras in for the order being so large). The Food was cooked to perfection and the service from everybody was impeccable. My wife broke her leg between ordering and delivery and the owner heard about this and insisted we have a full meal another day so she could experience it fully (even though he didn't have to). Thanks smoke shed - we will be back

Had a takeaway for my birthday as it was the only thing to look forward to at the moment but the food was awful if honest and not cheap. My burger was over cooked and the cheese and bacon fries were inedible as the cheese had gone hard. Mac cheese was the worst though. I appreciate it’s difficult times but if you are still providing takeaway it needs to be acceptable when people receive it. Had this been in the restaurant I would have walked out refusing to pay. As a side note, please invest in some insulated delivery bags. Such a shame and let down

Had a delivery from here tonight and all I got delivered was disappointment. The writing was on the wall from the start when my food turned up late, and in premier stores carrier bags... being late is all well and good if the food actually comes hot, which it wasn't. Stone cold macaroni cheese with bacon on top. Dreadful quality and had zero taste. Rock hard burger Patti, frozen chicken fillet and buns which would be better used to house breakfast items. And last but not least, the cheese and bacon fries! Dear oh dear. This place trys to give the impression from its menu and appearance that your going to be treated to the taste of authentic SMOKED food. Nothing could be further from the truth. My chilli "dawg" was OK I suppose. But even that was made with one of those cheap chippy sausages. People, if your after this kind of food then go to hickorys or burger shed. Atleast there you get value for your money.

My wife and I are key workers and we’re staying at a local hotel. We ordered a Mac N Cheese Burger with fries, 6 BBQ chicken wings, and a portion of Chilli ‘Pimp My Fries’. One bite was taken out of the burger - solid patty, overcooked. The Mac n Cheese was stone cold, and the meal came with chips, not fries. This was put in the bin. It was an obvious rushed job, with little care or attention.The BBQ chicken wings were foul. We opened the carton and didn’t eat them. Not fresh, frozen and looked horrific. This was put in the bin without hesitation.The ‘Pimp My Fries’ was the crashing crescendo to a horrific take away. Stale, out of the microwave chilli, thrown on top of again, chips, not fries, and draped with unmelted, poor quality cheddar.When you pay £23.50, plus delivery, you expect much better. I would seriously recommend not ordering take away food from this company. In house the food may be better, I’m not sure, but one thing I know, is that the ‘chef’ who prepared our food, has mastered the microwave, but nothing else. Disappointed.

called in for a breakfast last week our first time here the restaurant was very busy with local contractors taking up most of the tables was told upon ordering there would be a wait never the less our order came out within 10 minutes our food was piping hot tasty and it was all good quality products also the portion sizes were huge all very enjoyable needless to say we will be back great staff also

Had a Just Eat delivery from The Smoke Shed and it was amazing - would definitely order again. The food was delivered well before the stated time and it was delicious.

The burgers here are fantastic, really tasty, I struggled to finish it, well worth a visit, the guy is very friendly and polite and they also delivery

Awful, stale food. I ordered there today and the burger was pre-purchased and not made onsite and appeared to be cooked from frozen. It was covered in black leftovers from the grill and so was the bacon. The bun was stale and of bad quality. I heard some of the food being nuked in the microwave, which is never a good sign-lets face it! I took one bite of it and had to leave it because it made me feel sick. Then I looked underneath the bun and could see why! I only ate half of the chips because they were too greasy-I only ate half because I was hungry. The can of pop was luke warm aswell. I did not have the heart to ask for a refund or to just pay for the drink and half the chips because there was a very young boy working behind the counter and I didn't want to intimidate him. You would think on a Saturday that the food would be fresh.I am not a particularly fussy eater, as a matter of fact I love food and eating out, but never again at this place. Cutlery was dirty as well and the customer service leaved a lot to be desired. It's a shame because this place could be a great little hotspot hub if the right changes were made. I wish I had taken a picture to illustrate how bad it was. I definitely will not be returning and would advise anyone who wants a decent burger to go elsewhere. I have had better at fast food chain restaurants that charge a fraction of the price. I am happy to pay for a good meal and always like to support local businesses and leave a nice tip, but not on this occasion. £8.50 for eating a few frozen fries and a warm can of pop-that is daylight robbery. I have seen in the reviews that the cook claims to be a trained chef and has years of experience but if that is the case then why is he happy to send out dirty food? I never normally leave reviews (good or bad) but am making an expectation on this occasion because people work hard for their money and imagine if you took your kids out for lunch and spent a fortune on old food. Disgraceful! I have worked in catering and know good food and good customer service and this was definitely not the case here. I would not hold my breath for their food hygiene rating either!

We had been meaning to visit the smoke shed for a while we went today for lunch. We both had the £6 cheeseburger lunch meal deal which included fries and a drink. Excellent value and tasty. It was Cheaper than McDonald’s and Burger King and supports local business. Thumbs up

Went here for breakfast it was very good value and clean inside staff were very good.they have vegetarian option as well or you can choose of menu was they do plenty other stuff

We came here after seeing good reviews.The breakfast was delicious and was served very quick despite the place being very busy.The service was excellent,the only criticism I would make is that the cutlery was not clean and the tables needed a wipe in between people coming and going apart from that it was a nice experience and I will be back.

Delivery via Zoom. Not the best quality bread and packaging as arrived squashed. Burgers were also very gritty. Wouldn’t recommend delivery food

Top class this place, sure the even meals are great but the breakfasts are awesome, they’re happy to swap out items and add in extras for an awkward diabetic who has to avoid carbs. The meat was good quality, the service quick and the prices gave outstanding value for money! One to head for when you’re in Wrexham town

I visited quite a few months ago when i was in the UK with my wife late one evening after a few drinks. The place itself in quite easy to miss if it were not for that delicious aroma that lifts you up like a cartoon character and drags you to the door.

We went yesterday for breakfast, hubby had full English which included a coffee for £5 which he thoroughly enjoyed, I had scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast which was lovely and with a cup of tea was also £5. Lovely young man serving with his Dad doing the cooking, well worth a visit x The menu for other meals looked very tempting and I'm sure we'll visit again x

Very decent I must say, visited with a friend, my steak was lovely served with skin on fries, egg, slaw and onion rings...

I have read very good reviews about this place and decided to try it myself. Glad i did. Portions are huge and never had a tastier melt in mouth beef like this before. Picture is taken after eaten half of it and gave up as too much. Friendly staff and will definitely go back there again

We have been here a number of times now and everytime the food has been really good and really good nice as well.

I love this place, food is such good quality....all home made...steaks are sooo good....anyone who says any different obviously does not know great food...

Whenever I’m in Wrexham and hungry I always make the effort to stop off at the smoke shed , a small independent run restaurant with friendly staff and quality freshly cooked food .My only problem I have is choosing what to have , I’ve tryed the burgers and the breakfast both great ,so next time it’s going to either be the ribs or one of the steaks

Omg come across this lovely little place. Rustic to say the least with a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food absolutely outstanding, steak was stunning and could not fault at all. Highly recommended and the staff are funny, chatty and very attentive. Loved it.

The food at the smoke shed is awful you can tell the ingredients are cheap and the food is tasteless everything comes covered in a sticky bitter bbq sauce that is cold.

never has he been a chef if he was the food would be hand made ribs instead of ones you buy from costco burgers are not homemade either cheap nasty buns instead of brioche buns or good quality save your money and go to frankie and bennys in wrexham or for really good burger get over to Chester burger shed cant fault the food at all

My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant on the day it was taken over by a new owner back in December 2018. up to this point, we were sick of crap breakfasts, there is nowhere else in Wrexham that does a nice breakfast and a proper size portion.

We popped into the smoke shed and ordered what sounded delicious. It was so so tasty and the guy was so funny. It's quirky and tasty food. We can't wait for our next visit. Well done allan

The smoke shed serves some excellent food from the southern areas of Africa.

What a cracking place to eat, not only is it a lovely cosy eatery the food is outstanding and the service is second to none, genuinely!!! We went for a taste of Africa and being from Africa myself it was great food that bought back great memories! The couple who have this place are so lovely and make you feel right at home, no alcohol is serviced but you can drink on site for a corkage fee! I would certainly recommend this place and can't wait to go back and try their regular menu, it looks great too!!!

I can never praise this place enough to anyone. Only place that knows how to properly cook a steak. Needed somewhere like this for a long time in Wrexham

Popped in to try this place out this afternoon after wanting to try it out for a while. The new owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately they had sold out of Mac n Cheese so I couldn't order the Cheesy Shed, but that's a good sign to show how well they're doing. I went for the Macho Cheese and my partner went for the Super Shed and we were both blown away. For the price it was excellent value for money and absolutely delicious. I couldn't actually finish mine, though I tried. I will definitely be returning, as I desperately want to try out the Cheesy Shed!
