Went for breakfast, food was fantastic. Service wasn't great, was halfway through the meal when a staff member came and placed a card in the middle of the table to say the table was reserved in 20 minutes and we had to make way. Table wasn't reserved when we sat down and paid for our food. Bizarre service.

Started off slow but our server Finlay served us great keeping us stocked with drinks

Done the bottomless brunch and our server was Finley, he was so sound. Our table wasn’t ready but as soon as it was took us over, took our orders and then didn’t start the timer until we got our order absolute legend.

We came for bottomless brunch with my wife, brother and his Mrs and the service, value and service was first class. Oliver was our server and I hope his manager reads this because he gave us the best service and made our visit all that much better. Celebrated my birthday at Slug and Lettuce Quayside on Saturday. All 30 of my family & friends thoroughly enjoyed Bottomless Brunch! The drinks were fantastic, the food was delicious and the service by Joey & Robyn was amazing! From the moment I booked until the end of my birthday evening nothing was too much trouble for them and there were 30 of us! Compliments to the chef, the food was amazing and all dishes came out of the kitchen at the same time! Fantastic service. 100% recommend Bottomless Brunch @Slug & Lettuce Quayside! Joey & Robyn are an absolute credit to Slug & Lettuce their hospitality was 5* Thanks again for a fantastic evening! Sarah x

Worse night ive ever had waited 2 hours for food .when it eventually came it came in dribs an draps and half ove it was missing cost me 18 pound for chips an a bit ove chicken 😡😡😡

Table was dirty and I had to clean the table myself. Very poor service. Barely could speak to any staff. Ordered online via the app. Food was average , and waited 40 mins for a coffee that has never arrived. And couldn’t speak to any staff for refund. Decided to just leave the place. Avoid if you can !!

Had my granddaughters 18th birthday. It was amazing from beginning to end. Carley looked after us with help from the young man behind the bar and they could not do enough for us. A day to remember for all the right reasons. Highly recommended 👌. Thankyou.

Me and my sister came for bottomless brunch and served by Finley. He was very attentive to us the whole time, friendly, professional and very lovely! He was very quick at serving us and would definitely come back again, he’s made a great impression

Visited for bottomless brunch for my friends birthday. Josh was looking after us and he couldn’t have done more for us or his other tables. He was so lovely and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Choices of drinks for the bottomless brunch were great and food was lovely as well.

Great food options. We enjoyed the food. Staff are polite, there was a really nice smell in the venue. Some sort of air freshener.

Service was great. We ordered the bottomless brunch and were served very quickly. It also has a great atmosphere and the prices are good for what you get.

Booked a drinks table for new years eve 9.30-12 30 for 5 people, paid a £25 deposit. Got to the venue to find there was no one on the door and to be told we hadn't got a table... I showed the man our reservation email and the confirmation email. He sat us down at a table and said we need the table back by 11pm. Which we were not happy when we'd paid for the table and it was new years eve and my friends came up to Newcastle. Half way through the drinks a waiter came and said we need this chair back for another table by this point I was really annoyed paying for our table getting kicked off it at 11 and then taking a chair back half way through. The manger said we either leave or calm down. So we left!!

Their website says dog friendly but they are not. We were told dog friendly only applies to their outside seating when it is available. We weren't allowed in. They need to update their website.

Best place, unreal for bottomless brunch

We had the bottomless brunch for a work Xmas do. Josh served us and we can't fault his service at all. He smiled throughout, ensured our drinks were constantly topped up and was so patient with us when we thought the bill was incorrect (it wasn't! 🤦‍♀️) 5* member of staff! Food was good, but maybe a bit more variety on the menu would be even better. We weren't aware that it was a Disney themed brunch so were surprised to see Mickey ears rather than Xmas crackers etc, and the Disney music was a bit odd, but overall we all enjoyed our experience and would return.

Came for the bottomless brunch yesterday, it was great. saffron keeper the drinks flowing and provided great service to the group

Had my birthday bottomless here on a Saturday night. I was worried the servers would be too busy to make sure we had our drinks but they were absolutely excellent!!!! Always made sure we had our orders in and drinks at the table, lovely people and amazing service, thank you so much Josh and Ellie you made my night 🤩!

Had to pop into this venue as I was a little lost whilst trying to find another venue on the quayside. Also used the toilet facilities (and purchased a bottle of water). Looked absolutely stunning inside. Wasn't busy (but it was a Wednesday afternoon). Very spacious with plenty of areas to dine. Toilets were lovely and clean. Bar staff are extremely helpful (helping a damsel in distress!!!). My only complaint is a bottle of water cost a whopping £3.30!!

Bottlemless brunch was brilliant with our waitress Robyn, there was issues with the ladies toilets which she advised us of immediately, her customer service is next to none.

Nice and chilled atmosphere and the staff were lovely! We came for a few drinks and tapas, the food did take slightly longer to arrive, but the staff made up for it with some drinks on the house without any question. Really appreciated the gesture and will be back again! Great customer service 🙂

My only complaint about this venue was the toilets.. falling apart!! Literally!!

Was looking for somewhere to have a breakfast on a Saturday morning after a gruelling park run. The quayside on The Tyne is the place to find The Slug & Lettuce. Staff are very friendly, really knowledgable and make you feel welcome straight away. Great choice of seating with clear views up and down The Tyne while watching the world go by. I had a cappuccino, orange juice and on this occasion their ‘Plant Based Full English’ all were delicious and a generous portions to replenish my energy levels with high nutrition. Food arrived quickly, prices are reasonable, great atmosphere for a brekky that’ll set you up for the day before exploring the accommodating and interesting city that is Newcastle. Don’t miss out on this wonderful experience. 🍳🥑🍎👏

Bottomless brunch 1.00 to 3.00. At this point we had to endure the couple on the table next to us who crashed our party of 3. We did not order anything else until 18.10 when we ordered 2 cocktails each for 3 people. At 21.00 we went to order a new round of cocktails and were told we were too drunk and had complaints about us being disruptive all afternoon. At no point were we disruptive or obnoxious. The couple who were dunk left at about 5 and we.only had one round of cocktails between 3 and 9. Talking quietly between ourselves. But because we ordered a round of cocktails at 9 o'clock we were told we would not be served any more because we were drunk. Is it because we didn't order anything between 3 and 6 or 6 and 9 that we were deemed too drunk? We are 3 x 60 year old women. The bar tender even apologised to us about having to endure the drunk couple next to us, but we get told we are the problem at 9 o clock....bearing in mind we hadn't ordered a drink from 6 to 9 and that included water. Shocking service for 3 almost 60 year old women sat in a corner having to endure the unwelcome advances of other customers without complaint, and then being quiet and undisruptive from 6 o clock to 9 o .clock. Up until 3 o clock the service had been wonderful, we even paid a tip, but we did not order another round until 6 and then another at 9....is it because we didn't order drinks that we were penalised?

Awful experience. Staff not bothered. Management not bothered. Chain not bothered. They deserve to go bust. Soon I hope. Update: I received an email from the management at the Slug & Lettuce asking me about my experience there. I described how awful it had been in some detail. That was weeks ago. I have never heard anything back. No apology. Nothing. Disgraceful. Avoid.

Cocktails 2 for 1 bir of sex on the beach. Nice inside staff very friendly, enjoyed will be trying the food next time.

Came for a holiday at the hotel next door and wanted to go for an evening meal. My younger brother was 18 but had no ID and we were not allowed in by the security. Very stupid as all we wanted was somewhere nice to eat some food for an evening meal. Should only ID those wanting drinks not those wanting food. Lost some good money and future customers here

So where do I start, Kayley… the waitress was class. I really enjoy a mimosa as a 190 lbs man, this drink resonates with me to get messed up while enjoying a gourmet beef burger at 2 in the afternoon on a Saturday afternoon, however this experience was heightened by the fact kayley was very hospitable to the fact I drank a glass every 2 minutes or so, and constantly made her way past the table every few minutes to make sure my flute was topped up with the good stuff. So all in all 10/10 experience and service. Brava Kayley 👌🏻
