Sushi Ninja in Newcastle upon Tyne

Opening times are wrong, just drove all the way here and they were shut - open til 11 according to maps and website, very annoying.

By far, the best sushi I've had and has always consistently been so. You can tell the chefs put a lot of effort and pride in their sushi. Light years ahead of anywhere else in Newcastle and deserve more recognition.

Horrendous. Arriving freezing cold after over an hour's wait. The chicken wasn't cooked properly, no sauce even though it was in the description. Crispy Squid was cold, soggy and tasteless definitely not crispy 🫥. Definitely won't be returning.

Food is normally just fine but service really sucks for delivery ordered through ubereats but ubereats just said restaurant is having own delivery. Worst calling the mobile number listed to call was never answered!!! Still waiting for ordered food for more than an hour and a half now!!!

No idea how to rate because every time I try to order anything they cancel my order and then I can't ever get through to them on the phone. if you don't want to accept orders don't state your open for orders then 15-20 mins later say your closed...close your online orders earlier maybe if you can't be bothered? especially when someone is paying £8 delivery fee and over £30+ for an order. Honestly sick of even trying with sushi ninja to order and this has been multiple times not a one off.

Honestly the food was amazing. This is the best sushi I've ever had in all of Newcastle. Its just so fresh! I feel like in any other sushi restaurant the rice is a bit of a let down because it tatses stale or hard. But the rice here was so good!! The delivery did take the mick a little. But it was so worth it with how good everything was. We got the chef special so I don't exactly know what we got. But one of the sushi had a crispy exterior and omgggg it was insaneeee. I don't even know what it was to reorder it 😭 If it wasn't so expensive I would order from here literally everyday. But the price definitely matches the quality. I hope the recipes/quality of the sushis never change

Unbearable Wait for Sushi Ninja's Delivery My recent encounter with Sushi Ninja has been nothing short of infuriating. Before I ordered sushi from this restaurant a few time, it always late so this time I ordered little bit sooner than i normally do so i can get a food when i go back to my house. I placed an order at 7:26 PM and in the uber eats told me that the food will arrive on time at 8:00PM, but the food didn't arrive until a shocking 9:28 PM. A 1 hour and 30 minutes delay for sushi delivery is utterly unacceptable. This disruption ruined my evening plans, leaving my guests and me starving. To make matters worse, Sushi Ninja provided no communication about the delay, and when the food finally arrived, it was far from fresh. This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied and questioning :(

My delivery is 1 hr late and can't reach the restaurant as their number doesn't connect.. EDIT; DELIVERY never arrived. Store never contacted me.

Wonderful Salmon Teriyaki Futomaki. Beautifully presented and tasted awesome.

Really really good katsu chicken curry, got a takeaway curry and it came separately packed to keep the chicken crispy till eating. Can’t wait to try the sushi. For a katsu it is the best placed I’ve tried in Newcastle so far

No where near what we expected in terms of quality... ordered a bento box and sushi platter. Tuna tasted frozen and prawns were worse than tesco! Wouldn't order again.

Food taste nice, still hot when it arrived.

Salmon set was great quality and perfect for two people.

Order on Uber eats, the food is really good! Very fresh and tasty. The katsu katsu sidedish is perfect. My most favourite item is the Tuna Mayo Katsu roll, so tasty, definitely recommend!!

The fried chicken teriyaki box is so fresh and delicious!! I can't wait to try more!!

delivery got stolen by neighbour (lol) and were quick to resolve this and even threw in a free side for the hassle ! recommend the gyozas

Best sushi I've had in Newcastle, a little bit pricey though. I ordered the salmon set and salmon makis. They were all roughly the same size as Yo sushi's sushi

Delicious and soo fresh!! Just popped in for a bento box and a bit of nigiri, the fish was the freshest I've had of all the sushi restaurants around Newcastle, the katsu curry was super tasty too. Really friendly staff, I will have to come back!

Perfect chicken Katsu, fast service and friendly staff!

AMAZING!! Would 1000% recommend Soft Shell Crab tempura, Pork Don Katsu and anything with their own creation 'Butterplum Sauce' All was perfectly cooked, great value for money and the servers were more than friendly! Will definitely be visiting again.

I essentially paid £9 for instant noodles that you can buy at the supermarket. It tasted like maggi noodles, the sort you buy for under £1. I can't believe they're selling this for £4.50 per portion (absolutely no additions to it, just noodles and the satchet mixed in). Shocking. Don't order from here.

Had a box of spicy noodles and 2 pork spring rolls,they were amazing and I would highly recommend them.This place for me is a big plus to Chillingham road. 5 ⭐️
