Food was outstanding, the cocktails delicious and always flowing. The staff could not be more attentive. Fantastic that they do an evening bottomless brunch

Went to the Slug & Lettuce in Sutton Coldfield for my niece’s 18th with my two sisters and fiancé, and we had an amazing time. We did the bottomless brunch during the day, and the staff were absolutely brilliant—so friendly and proper on the ball with making sure our drinks were topped up. The whole place had a great vibe, especially with the 90s and 00s throwback event in the evening. The music was banging, and it really added to the atmosphere—it felt like a proper celebration! The food was spot on, the drinks were flowing, and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Honestly, they made the day so easy and enjoyable. If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate or just have a good time, would recommend coming here.

Our server was brilliant with our bottomless brunch brining us drinks after drinks and making our experience one to remember. Kye was so lovely and gave us great customer service. He’s brilliant and his job.

Staff Require Cocktail Training I recently visited Slug and Lettuce on New Year's, marking my second visit to the venue. During my first visit, the staff did not prepare my cocktail correctly. When I questioned this, the staff member explained, "This is how the manager tells us to do it." On my second visit, I decided to keep it simple and ordered a Long Island Iced Tea. To my surprise, I was informed that they use a pre-mix for all the alcohol. Additionally, the bartender used a cocktail shaker for this drink, which goes against basic, common cocktail knowledge, as Long Island Iced Teas are NEVER supposed to be shaken. When I tasted the drink, I couldn’t taste any alcohol, which prompted me to return it. To ensure consistency and quality for customers, training needs to be revised.

We ordered the S&L sharer for 2 - very disappointing. The chicken wings were cremated, the chicken skewers were just chicken strips, the slow roasted tomatoes and olives were a no show and the shredded chicken were thinly battered strips of chicken - very poor. Will not be returning nor recommending.

The flamingo bingo is a disaster. Couldn’t hear any numbers being called out and they weren’t repeated either. The rules weren’t clear and half the dabbers were dry. Any other day is ok but the food is small portions. Drinks are good and service is average.

Fabulous staff, food was lovely and hot. Our table was decorated lovey when we arrived with party items (glasses,blow up guitar and more... Drinks were really quick, didn't need to wait long. Pete who served us as a table of 5 was really good. Polite, friendly and happy and smiled each time. Great music !! Great staff, happy all round. Highly recommend to anyone!! Great for the price 👍

I visited here with my family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) on a Sunday afternoon. We'd reserved the table back in October as my sis in law had a meal deal voucher. I was visiting from Thailand for Christmas, so I was keen to try some local grub. The restaurant was decked out in Christmas lights, which gave it a warm atmosphere that was the only real positive. Upon arrival, we were told that a third of the mains from the 2 meal deal menu were sold out. Additionally, after ordering the vegan burger, I was told they hadn't any left. My brother also ordered a burger and got the same response. He ordered the fish n chips and was told they hadn't any left :( Then miraculously, he was told they did have some. I ordered the vegan pasta and vegan nachos. The pasta left little to be desired, with only slices of pepper scattered amongst the penne pasta. Whilst all of our meals arrived, my 6 yr old nephew was left waiting. After querying his meal order with the waitress, we were told they hadn't placed the order. It would take another 10 minutes. Following this, desserts were bought, my Dad, Sis in Law and nephew really enjoyed the churros and waffles. Unfortunately, after returning from the toilet, I learnt the server had spilled caramel sauce on my winter coat. I understand Christmas is a busy time of the year and staff are over run, tired as the year comes to a close but having worked in the F&B industry myself, even I know to count the food orders on the system and to take care of the customers. A disappointing experience overall, we won't be returning.

Had my work Christmas meal here, and we booked the bottomless brunch. Food was nice, but cocktails were not great.

First time having a bottomless brunch with slug and lettuce. The food was nice and was generous in size. Music was good. Staff were lovely especially Pete who made sure our glasses were always full.

Miserable place. I reserved a table for my birthday dinner more than a month in advance personally. As a result, it turned out that the table I reserved was occupied. They decided to resolve the situation by simply disappearing from sight. We had to go to another place. This is a complete disgrace.

Pete at s&l serves is for bottomless brunch and was nothing but amazing and made sure we had thr best time, he was fast with servise and really looked after us!

My sisters and myself had a fantastic time at the slug and lettuce in Sutton. Pete our server was fantastic at refilling our drinks when they looked low and was a brilliant host, from recommending drinks to his lovely friendly manner. The bottomless brunch menu was very nice and the atmosphere was really good especially the music!! We recommend the slug and lettuce for a good night out.

The food was great, me and my partner btoh enjoyed it thoroughly. I wish the 2-4-1 cocktails where not two of the same only as I'd like to mix and match. The staff were fine, we went a little early so it was clear they were still setting up. As for the atmosphere it's clear that they are made for night, if it's still light it feels lost on you. Overall I'd really recommend going for a few drinks as it's a nice place.

We visited 3rd november as a group of 10 people to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. Cocktails are delicious & 2 for 1, the food was also delicious we all ordered different items from the chicken sharer to steak and burgers everyone enjoyed their meals we had a 2 year old who had a childs meal great size portion. The staff were lovely. Toilets clean and restaurant clean and welcoming. Being a Sunday it was quiet between 5-7pm but thats perfect for us. My daughter loved her meal and her 1st cocktails. Definitely be revisiting. Thanks.

My expectations were high after reading great reviews. Unfortunately, they weren't met. At 6pm the place was so loud that I wasn't sure if I entered a restaurant or a club. It was really hard to talk and enjoy the food. The food was good, but sadly I found the fried bao buns very greasy and the mini waffles tasted like the ones from a supermarket. We didn't experience good service like others did either. We were shown a table and that was it. No one even asked us for drinks or came back to check if we were ready to order (the restaurant was quite empty too). After a while we realised we can order through a qr code so we only had service when they brought us the food. The decor was nice and modern though. I think this place is just not for everyone.

We had a bottomless brunch at the slug & lettuce (Sutton coldfield) our server was pete and he was lovely. Came over to check if we wanted any other drinks, made our drinks fast and served us quickly. I’ve been here a few times and his service was by far the best.

The food was terrible. While the burgers themselves were alright, the buns were burnt. When we complained, they didn’t even bother giving us fresh meals—they just swapped out the buns and returned the same burgers we had already bitten into. To top it off, the food wasn’t even warm. I definitely won’t be going back anytime soon.

Great experience celebrating my MIL's bday today at a bottomless brunch. She has flown in from Australia and being local, I picked Slug and Lettuce...it did not disappoint. Great food and drinks but the service stole the show...Pete is amazing and gave us his all despite feeling poorly...keep up the great work u r doing awesome xx

Had such a sick bottomless, our serve pete was unreal, made sure we never had an empty glass and came to ask us what we wanted next before we even needed, the best bottomless i’ve been to in terms of drinks!

Lovely, food, venue, and cocktail deal 2 for 1 = £13. We went on a Friday night for a meal with friends. Lovely steak meal with peppercorn sauce. Everyone enjoyed it. It was definitely one of the best steaks we have ever had. All the 'Starters' were nice too. The fish starter dish was worth waiting for as freshly cooked. The bao bun starter l tried was okay, but the fried bao bun was too greasy for me. lt was selected for me by a friend who enjoys them, so maybe that is how they are prepared here. We only tried one dessert, the caramel cheesecake bites, which were hot, sweet, and soft, so more like a moose than a cheesecake as they had no biscuit base. There was lovely music after 9 pm and an area for dancing, creating a lovely atmosphere, within the nice decor. Our favourite meals were the steak and the fish starter, so nice, it would definitely be somewhere we would return to.

As with most of this chain the orders are all done with QR codes. Food came out pretty quickly it's just a shame that the server needed proof that there should have been a sauce with the steaks. She then started trying to charge us for the sauces that come free with the steaks. When you have to show a server what the menu actually says it doesn't bode well.

Staff were great but the food is absolutely a joke. Ordered the hawiian bowl and it is not what it is on the menu it was literally boiled rice not stickey rice with sweetcorn and soya beans lobbed in looked like something that came out of microwave packet from Asda. My husband ordered starters and left it all after three bites. Very disappointed and will not be going there again.

The whole experience was great, the food was amazing and service even better, we had a pile of drinks on our tables almost the whole time and just what you need at a bottomless, pete gave us the best experience we could have asked for, gave us a right laugh at the end when getting our bill! I’m not a big fan of drinking and fooding because it fills you up but the s&l was great, I must say Pete was great, he was so attentive and an absolute laugh, at the end when we needed our bill he helped us (my friend) out with it all, absolute legend, props to him for being the best server there, he actually looked like he enjoyed his job. Will be coming back again!

Went on a girl's night out and played flamingo bingo, cocktails were flowing 2 for 1, we didn't eat. The atmosphere was amazing. Staff were great fun, too, joining in.

Refurb has made the place so boujee. Definitely worth a visit with that special someone for vibes that will take your girl to the bedroom and beyond.

Booked a bottomless brunch for my 2 friends birthday at the sutton Coldfield S&L never done one at S&L and was not left dissospointed food and service was fabulous and the drinks amazing we had great fun and will definitely return 😀 and liv the waitress was lovely

We were a large group. A lot of the menu we asked for wasn't available, the food came out but wasn't in any order. Chips were ordered with some meals but didn't arrive with them. We found the service very sloppy. Wouldn't go there again
