Slug & Lettuce in Birmingham

We had a bottomless brunch at the slug & lettuce (Sutton coldfield) our server was pete and he was lovely. Came over to check if we wanted any other drinks, made our drinks fast and served us quickly. I’ve been here a few times and his service was by far the best.

Had a lovely afternoon, with great friends. Also cannot fault the general manager A*****. 👌🏼

The food was terrible. While the burgers themselves were alright, the buns were burnt. When we complained, they didn’t even bother giving us fresh meals—they just swapped out the buns and returned the same burgers we had already bitten into. To top it off, the food wasn’t even warm. I definitely won’t be going back anytime soon.

Great experience celebrating my MIL's bday today at a bottomless brunch. She has flown in from Australia and being local, I picked Slug and Lettuce...it did not disappoint. Great food and drinks but the service stole the show...Pete is amazing and gave us his all despite feeling poorly...keep up the great work u r doing awesome xx

Really good service, staff were really. I’ve. They miss heard a good order but were quick to get back on top of it! Very friendly staff Peter was a a STAR always came over with a smile, and had a laugh. He may have even snuck us a round after our 2 hour window but honestly peter was brilliant! Very friendly, up for a short chat and made us feel human. Thank you!!

Had such a sick bottomless, our serve pete was unreal, made sure we never had an empty glass and came to ask us what we wanted next before we even needed, the best bottomless i’ve been to in terms of drinks!

Lovely, food, venue, and cocktail deal 2 for 1 = £13. We went on a Friday night for a meal with friends. Lovely steak meal with peppercorn sauce. Everyone enjoyed it. It was definitely one of the best steaks we have ever had. All the 'Starters' were nice too. The fish starter dish was worth waiting for as freshly cooked. The bao bun starter l tried was okay, but the fried bao bun was too greasy for me. lt was selected for me by a friend who enjoys them, so maybe that is how they are prepared here. We only tried one dessert, the caramel cheesecake bites, which were hot, sweet, and soft, so more like a moose than a cheesecake as they had no biscuit base. There was lovely music after 9 pm and an area for dancing, creating a lovely atmosphere, within the nice decor. Our favourite meals were the steak and the fish starter, so nice, it would definitely be somewhere we would return to.

Had a fabulous brunch at the Sutton Coldfield S&L. Pete our server made sure we had a great time and enjoyed our brunch. Very attentive ensuring we had a new drink. Definitely recommend.

Pete was our server and was fantastic from Start to finish, ensuring that we always had our glasses full and our food preserved. At the end of our brunch he reserved us a table in the main bar to ensure our night could continue- thank you ☺️

As with most of this chain the orders are all done with QR codes. Food came out pretty quickly it's just a shame that the server needed proof that there should have been a sauce with the steaks. She then started trying to charge us for the sauces that come free with the steaks. When you have to show a server what the menu actually says it doesn't bode well.

Staff were great but the food is absolutely a joke. Ordered the hawiian bowl and it is not what it is on the menu it was literally boiled rice not stickey rice with sweetcorn and soya beans lobbed in looked like something that came out of microwave packet from Asda. My husband ordered starters and left it all after three bites. Very disappointed and will not be going there again.

I’m not a big fan of drinking and fooding because it fills you up but the s&l was great, I must say Pete was great, he was so attentive and an absolute laugh, at the end when we needed our bill he helped us (my friend) out with it all, absolute legend, props to him for being the best server there, he actually looked like he enjoyed his job. Will be coming back again!

The whole experience was great, the food was amazing and service even better, we had a pile of drinks on our tables almost the whole time and just what you need at a bottomless, pete gave us the best experience we could have asked for, gave us a right laugh at the end when getting our bill! Went on a girl's night out and played flamingo bingo, cocktails were flowing 2 for 1, we didn't eat. The atmosphere was amazing. Staff were great fun, too, joining in.

Refurb has made the place so boujee. Definitely worth a visit with that special someone for vibes that will take your girl to the bedroom and beyond.

Only stopped for a flying visit, but the staff were great, if I ever get more time ill definitely stay longer.

The atmosphere was great, shame about the prices.... we moved on after a couple of drinks, not sustainable for a whole evening.

Booked a bottomless brunch for my 2 friends birthday at the sutton Coldfield S&L never done one at S&L and was not left dissospointed food and service was fabulous and the drinks amazing we had great fun and will definitely return 😀 and liv the waitress was lovely

We were a large group. A lot of the menu we asked for wasn't available, the food came out but wasn't in any order. Chips were ordered with some meals but didn't arrive with them. We found the service very sloppy. Wouldn't go there again

Great place to visit, whatever the occasion! I frequently visit after a long day at work or for a chilled one at the weekend. Lovely staff, Kai & the girls who work here, are all on the ball! The only place I will visit for a steak, that is actually cooked blue as requested, not rare or medium rare! Kyle (chef) was advised of my steak preference after I placed my order, and even came out to check it was cooked to my liking, top customer service. Just trying 3 plates for £14, done by Nathan (chef) quick service, hot food and beautiful flavours, love this place.

Awful service. Stay out of that place. My wife and my two kids had an awful experience. Food was taken over from the table without consent and after being informed not to as another person was expected to arrive. Despite of my wife and i challenged the situation to the management, the decision was to not to reply or even offer to exchange the food. Situation was so badly managed that even my 7yo child started to apologize for it. A complete disgrace.

Came here on Friday. Was OK. Fairly quiet. Drinks arnt the cheapest but cocktails were 241. Someone in our group was overcharged so that had to be bought up with the staff.
