Slug & Lettuce in Richmond upon Thames

I had an outstanding experience at Slug and Lettuce, and I have to give a special shoutout to Billy, the bartender. His cocktail-making skills were on point – each drink was not only beautifully presented but also packed with flavour. You could tell he really knows his craft, and his friendly demeanour made the evening even better. The food was just as impressive. The chef clearly puts a lot of care and attention into every dish. We tried the smothered chicken, which was unbelievably tender, and the steak – wow! Cooked exactly to my liking, it was juicy, full of flavour, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was a treat. The atmosphere in the venue was another highlight. It was clean and comfortable, and the music created the perfect vibe – not too loud, but just enough to enhance the overall experience. All in all, this place is a gem, and I can’t wait to come back!

Fab bottomless brunch service. I had the chicken croissant burger which was really nice. Nice surrounding and atmosphere. Good food and drinks. Lovely service by Drishti. Great value for money too.

Booked a table online with the words in the special request box- Wheelchair User. Received a generic email accepting our booking. On arrival there was no wheelchair access and no disabled toilets. Pointless writing any special requests when they are obviously not met. You could have for eg s nut allergy and potentially die. Will not return. Negligent owners.

A fabulous Bottomless Brunch at the S&L Richmond. Good food,atmosphere and endless drinks. Fantastic value. Nothing is too much for the staff and Nicoleta was very attentive,as always. Would recommend.

As soon as I walked into the slug and lettuce, I was greeted by a very friendly phrase which I then ordered my drink to which I couldn’t decide as I’m quite a particular person this waiter then went onto accommodate to my needs I would like to mention this waiter, his name is Freddy and he was absolutely wonderful. Drishti was an exceptional server and she created an atmosphere of joy. Perhaps I am obsequiously exclaiming my praise, but I think she should get a raise. If I were, hypothetically, a snail trying to get to a lettuce, drishti would be the vehicle of my transport.

We did not have a great experience here at all. We went on a Saturday and of course it would be busy, but they were understaffed and did provide even the most basic good service. Our food could've been a lot better (and warmer) and the service was poor and wasn't the cleanest. I'm afraid I would not go back.

Absolutely atrocious food. Chicken was so over-cooked I wasn't sure if I should eat it or scatter it's ashes off the cliffs of Dover. Shout out to the best microwaved peas since Wetherspoons or when the microwave was invented. Quite possibly the worst food I've ever had in my life. On the plus side, James our server was fantastic and really lovely. If only the chef could put the same amount of effort. Keep up the good work James!

Nicoletta was our server for bottomless brunch. The bar staff were very proactive and extremely responsive to our requests. Very high standards from the staff and would highly recommend. Will be coming back very soon.

Horrible food! We ordered the platter and nachos. Everything tasted stale and reheated. It was a disappointing experience. Inclined cause of the view near the lake, however, the restaurant certainly doesn’t deliver quality food nor drinks.

Great location as it is near the river, however the place feels old and not well maintained. The chicken burger was okay but the beef burger was terrible, I struggled to eat it

Rather disappointing. Beer was great but the food left a great deal to be desired. Worst nachos ever and frozen food. The staff were wonderful and the music bad.

Very very poor service, probably up there with the worst I have ever experienced. You wait nearly an hour for food from the time you order and the food quality is exceptionally low poor quality. The music is too loud and you can't hear yourself speak. Won't recommend or return here

Came for a quick pint and Luke pointed out an amazing £10 deal for a burger/sandwich, chips and a pint for £10. I chose the steak sandwich and a pint of inches cider. Lovely food, great location and very good staff. Thanks Luke.

Absolutely brilliant food. Thoroughly recommend for gorgeous, well-priced food. We were there for lunch and got their lunch-time deal. I had a burger and fries. The burger was so good, definitely up there with some of the fancier burgers I have eaten. It was nice and juicy. The cheese was perfectly melted and the bacon was crunchy, but not dry. Thank you chef Jose for a wonderful burger! The skin-on fries were perfect too. Not undercooked and still hot when they came out. A slight wait on ordering food, which is understandable that it is busy for lunch time with their deal when the food tastes that good! But when the staff were helpful and really lovely when dealing with them. I look forward to visiting again.

Everything was great! Food arrived quickly and was delicious. Service was also great and staff are all very friendly. They made sure to check if there were any dietary requirements and they were accommodating to all modifications I had to my cheese and bacon burger. Would absolutely reorder the burger!

All service was completely wonderful, our waitress Louise was on point during our stay and we'll be coming back soon thanks to her.

Magda, Lily and James were all very friendly and provided great service. They were super helpful and were quick and efficient when delivering food and making drinks. Noah in the kitchen made a delicious cheese and bacon burger ensuring all personal modifications I had were met. Food was made and delivered quickly and tasted very nice - would reorder in the future. They also checked if for any necessary dietary requirements. It was busy and had a good atmosphere and I felt comfortable eating alone. I had a very good experience!

We only went for drinks & the lady at the bar didn’t know how to make an espresso martini! The cocktails were average at best, very weak!

I don’t think the cocktails had any noticeable alcohol in them . Definitely didn’t taste any gin in watermelon drink . Also the Long Island didn’t have any alcohol taste either. Lovely location but not authentic cocktails

2 Toilets were blocked Cocktails appeared to have little or no alcohol in them. We spent £ 130 3 of us . Walked out feeling like we hadn't had a drink! Have had many good visits here. This was sadly not one of them, very disappointing 😞
