Han vivido en Twickenham durante 12 años y este lugar ha pasado por una serie de reiteraciones y propietarios, pero este es el mejor hasta ahora. Finalmente han encontrado un buen equilibrio entre ambiente, decoración, buena comida y una decente gama de bebidas. También están tratando muy duro de promover temas y ofertas semanales para mantenerlo interesante. No solo se sientan a esperar a que la gente cruce la puerta en la que realmente están tratando de darle la bienvenida. Actualmente están haciendo ofertas de bebidas después del trabajo y también cuando no están muy ocupados hacen servicio de mesa para bebidas que es un buen toque e incluso te traen su Guinness en lugar de hacer que te quedes de pie! Recomiendo encarecidamente el almuerzo del domingo de cerdo asado. Uno de los mejores almuerzos de pub que he tenido durante años. No es el pub más barato de Twickenham y espero que vigilen a la competencia en ese sentido, pero merecen hacerlo bien y espero que los locales sigan apoyando.

Muy buen pub local, personal amable y propietario. El almuerzo del domingo fue increíble, un poco más caro que algunos otros pubs en Twickenham, pero vale la pena por la calidad.

WOW what a pub, landlord amazing, couldn’t do enough for us, traveled down to attend the Rugby, great find right close to Twickenham, had lunch, 12 of us, all perfect, went back after the game, amazing atmosphere, live music, fabulous time had by all, will definitely be back.

We booked a table for twelve mixed rugby fans (Jocks ,English and kiwi) to watch the Rugby old firm battle , England Scotland match at Twickenham on Saturday 22nd February. We were warmly greeted by Dan and his very friendly and helpful team . The atmosphere was buzzing and full of excitement and trepidation for the match ahead. Although our beloved Scotland lost by one point the defeat was smoothed over by the fabulous friendly clientele and the drink flowed on served up by the Dan and the gang behind the bar . A great afternoon and evening that we will remember for all the right reasons . Thank You Dan and team for making our visit so enjoyable. See you for the next one 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The veg roast is INCREDIBLE. My husband and friends all had meat roasts and said the same. 100% recommend a Sunday roast here.

Llamé por unas copas. El nuevo gerente Dan y su equipo dieron un excelente servicio al cliente amable. Recomiendo una rosa encantadora que no he probado antes, era excelente. Gran ambiente, sin duda volveré en enero para probar el menú

Overall, it was a nice experience with lots of choice but there are two things to mention. Firstly, the size of the roast potatoes were too big and in my view should be half a size and have a crispy context to them. The second is what made this five style of you go down to a three star review is that we went to the bar and ordered the food when my wife told me how much it cost. It looked too much to me so we asked for a receipt and it showed they were charged somewhere in 12 / 1/2% gratuity but not only on the food but the drinks as well which meant we paid an extra £2 on top for buying and collecting our own drinks. which I think is unreasonable considering this is a pub not a restaurant. Which was Very disappointing and had we not asked for a receipt we never would’ve known. TIP ORDER DRINKS AND FOOD SEPARATELY AND SAVE 12.5%

Amazing night for my mums 50th birthday. We had to the upstairs function room. Dan the GM was so helpful and friendly. Hamish looked after us all behind the bar all evening. All staff were great and thank you to the kitchen team for the delicious pizzas. Night to remember and highly recommend for anyone looking for a private function booking. We certainly will be back!

Booked a table for dinner one Friday. Despite efforts to attract the attention of several staff we couldn’t get anyone to knowledge our presence. After waiting 10 mins we spoke to one lady telling her we had booked a table, she just walked off. Fed up we walked out ..

Tuvimos un almuerzo increíble el domingo. Este pub está bajo nueva propiedad / administración y aunque siempre nos ha encantado el pub, siempre se ha decepcionado con algunas cosas. La comida ha sido un poco promedio, un poco sin alma y nunca parece haber habido un gerente dirigiendo el lugar Fuimos hoy y tengo que decir que nos quedamos muy impresionados. Gran servicio, uno de los mejores almuerzos de domingo que hemos tenido y un ambiente mucho más acogedor Creo que los nuevos propietarios probablemente harán más mejoras, pero solo los pequeños toques han hecho una gran mejora. La comida era preciosa y el servicio era una gran mejora. También notamos un gerente presente que hará una gran diferencia Recomendaría visitar el Royal Oak ahora que está bajo nueva gestión. Queremos que los nuevos dueños tengan un gran éxito en este pub, así que por favor continúen haciendo mejoras, pero ya son 5 de 5 para nosotros.

Fantastic place - lovely atmosphere on a Thursday afternoon, had pizza and Gorgonzola ravioli which were great. Super friendly waiters. Busy with drinkers and other diners but nothing too much trouble. Definitely be back

Attended the Royal Oak for the football as they promised reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. I immediately realised that they had raised prices from £6 to £8 !! Then at half time I ordered two lime and sodas and they charged me for lemonade, £3.30 extra for each drink. I eventually complained they were incredibly unhelpful. I feel they are not very customer focused , avoid if you can!

Lovely staff, good drink selection, but they poured much less than a single 25ml shot into my drink, telling me that they're instructed to pour under the top. I totally get pouring under the top to secure stocks, but pouring 17-18ml is just having the customers off.

Kids party held in function room was great, team were very friendly and accommodating. We had some pizzas post party which are well recommended.

Food was spot on and great range of drinks on offer - wine and beers. Very welcoming and pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Will be back again soon.

Visited this pub and unfortunately left my handbag behind. The lovely lovely staff kept it behind the bar for me and I collected it the next day. . So grateful to them .

Was visiting friends and we went here for lunch , the staff were great and really helpful with my daughters food intolerances, the food itself was served hot ( yes some places serve like warm) and was very tasty. The pub was quiet at that time which suited. Going to meet up again before Christmas for a quiz night 👍🏻

Back in Twickenham for Football last night and watched to Spurs vs Chelsea game. Not that busy- was a Monday night but still a great atmosphere.

The Royal Oak has been a firm favourite for as long as we’ve lived in the area. Weather solo, with family, friends, colleagues or clients it has always been a good choice. Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere, delicious food and great selection of drinks. However, from the day the new ownership took over it was clear even without going inside that the vibe had changed. After visiting this week though with a friend and colleague for a “working drink” I am sorry to say that I would no longer recommend or choose to visit this pub. Stepping through the door it felt unwelcoming with cold air and the smell of smoke from someone just outside smoking coming in through the wide open doors at what should be the cosy, fireside end of the pub. The previously large wine selection now offered little choice the food menu uninspiring. None the less we each ordered a starter and had intended to order mains too but when the starter came it was honestly the most disappointing and basic thing I have eaten in a long time. Already unsure we were in the right place we were then driven out by the loud, cheesy music which started playing at 7pm. Too loud to talk or even think over, we split our remaining drinks so we could finish and leave as quickly as possible. We went to the Eel Pie where we had mains, two more drinks each and a lovely evening. Sorry Royal Oak, such a shame.

Super friendly staff, food was lovely and pub has a pool table which is always a plus. They also have 2 for 1 cocktails which are fab.

Came here for a bottomless brunch & the service was exceptional. The team kept us topped up and looked after for the full 2 hours (plus a bunch of extra time for us to finish our drinks!) we upgraded to have cocktails as well as prosecco and they were really delicious, 100% worth it. Would definitely recommend! Great value.

Came with mates to watch the champions league, both the arsenal and the man United games were on with each game in different corners of the pub. Can see a tv from basically anywhere you sit so great for watching football or any sport. Really good food menu too

We get to The Royal Oak as and when we can and always find the team very receptive and welcoming. Came in yesterday to watch the Newcastle game and ended up doing the quiz which was very interactive and a good experience.

I've called in twice now before different rugby games at Twickenham Stadium. On both occasions the beer has been delicious and the service prompt. Perfect pre and post match location for us!

A great place to watch the football. I came in with some friends to watch the world cup, wherever you sit you have a TV in view, ended up staying as they have a pool table.

The quiz night on Wednesdays is great fun, we won a free bottle of wine for having the funniest team name. Would recommend!

Great service Saturday, in town for rugby, England vs Wales. Drinks much, much cheaper and better than the stadium. Came back after the game, was impressed by speed of service for the food.

Visited to watch the Lionesses QF Match, plenty of TVs, friendly staff and a decent selection of beers, nice clean premises and toilets.

Popped in for the quiz night on Wednesday, was a proper laugh! The quizmaster is great and a nice variety on the questions. Will definitely be back next week to try and win that bar tab!

Matilda made me appreciate the extensive wine list and Martin gave me incredible recommendations on the whiskey available at this establishment. Namingly the famous grouse which at a cheap price satisfied the need for a taut whiskey to quench my thirst. Overall the best service anyone could've asked for.

This used to be one of my favourite pubs. But I went on the 9th with my family. I was so disappointed, more than I have ever been, for a very long time. Food was all from packets and frozen. No taste, very dry. Service was bad. It just all felt like no one cared and wanted to be there. What a shame it used to be packed on a Sunday from a great roast. There was just us, and a couple of other table. And we kept on having to get everything ourselves. PLEASE PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD CREW . OR WE WILL LOSS ANOTHER GREAT PUB IN TWICKENHAM. Shame.

Food is well overpriced and frozen, they are doing party bookings having one chef on the duty which makes everything delayed and I feel sorry for the staff that’s working there! It speaks for itself when the staff and manager has to post 5* reviews about themselves. So sad.. Missing the fresh produce and Sunday roasts. Won’t be back and won’t recommend to anyone.

Martin was the best, helped us decide and gave great suggestions for food and drinks. One of the members of the group have serious allergy problems and he was very knowledgeable on what products off the menu she can and can’t have. Would defo recommend coming here. Wing Wednesday is to die for. Love the weekly quiz. Been served by Martin who always has a smile and fantastic service. Would recommend for anyone looking for a nice drink away from the main high street.

We made a reservation in July 2022 for our wedding drinks in June 2023. I visited the pub and emailed multiple times to confirm the booking and the required numbers of drinks and canapés to be served. On arriving on the day none of the food or drinks were available for us, we ended up having to get our own glasses from the bar staff as they didn’t even put the glasses out to be used. We asked the manager what was happening but they were not interested and more or less just shrugged their shoulders. We ended up needing to wait 30 minutes before any food came from the kitchen. To make matters worse we then were charged an additional £100 on our card over a month after the event, despite having settled the bill on the day. The standard of service and general treatment has been appalling from start to finish and charging additional money is unacceptable, I would recommend you avoid this pub at all costs.

Great pub to watch the football and play pool, air conditioning was a lifesaver in the heat. Nice outdoor patio area as well.
